"If you are reading this, your application for the Breakfast University of Magic (B.U.M.) has been reviewed and accepted. Congratulations and thank you for choosing us! We here at B.U.M. pride ourselves with having the best instructors, top-of-the-line facilities, and a curriculum truly worth of being called 'the best!' and it has ever been our mission to guide potential mages, witches, warlocks, shamans, wizards, necromancers, the occasional changeling, hermit, etc., towards the becoming of their ideal self!
"Attached to this letter is the university handbook with map, your student I.D. so you don't get disintegrated by the school wards (that was a joke!) directions on how to get there from your location. Also attached are your room numbers and complementary lunch tickets!
"The term begins on the Spring Equinox (That's March 20 in mundane terms; see you're learning already!), please take care to arrive by 12:30 AM - yes you read that right, AM, as in, Ante Merediem, as in before midday, as in, before dawn! It doesn't matter what timezone you're in, just get there by 12 AM!
"Once again, thank you for choosing B.U.M., and may you live in interesting times!
- Secretary of Non-Academic Affairs, Germaine Gilliane, The Night Witch."
Magic exists. Magic is mysterious. Magic is attractive. Magic is powerful. Magic is all of this, and more.
But above everything, however, magic can be studied.
And that is where the Breakfast University of Magic comes into play. It is one of hundreds of secret schools scattered throughout the globe, and also among the foremost, perhaps even the best. It's Founder and current Headmaster, at least, is unrivaled among mages, and among the archmages, known as first among peers, and he has been for seven hundred years.
The University is an alliance of different schools of magic, all dedicated to fostering the potential of the magic users who walk through its hallowed halls. Although, rather than a conventional school, it is more akin to a huge research laboratory with occasional lectures. Fights are also more common and accepted than what would be permissible at mundane universities - it has to be, otherwise combat oriented magic users would wreck the place going mad from boredom!
Anyone can be accepted here, but not everyone; the standards for acceptance into the University mean that at the very least, some measure of control has been attained. It does not accept complete novices.

Magic System - Magic here follows a "branch" system, in that all magic is descended from one of five (5) sources or "Aeon's". The further from the source the less potent the magic. Once a magic - any magic - has reached its absolute pinnacle, it is said to evolve into an Aeon, and the mage in question is said to have "attained" it. Those that have attained an Aeon move above even the revered "Archemages" in rank, and become revered "Archetypes"
Creation - responsible for the bringing in of the new, and the restructuring of the old. Everything under creation falls under the category of "change in being" - whether that change be from nothing, or stemming from an original base.
Destruction - That which breaks-down. The Aeon of Destruction governs all aspects of tearing something to pieces. A key aspect of Destruction that differentiates it from Void is that there are always pieces left to reconstruct.
Existence - The objective of Existence is "growth" and "permanence"; Existence governs the whole "being" of something without having changed its core or nature, essentially becoming a bigger version of itself, and thus more important in the scope of the universe while remaining unchanged. Think on how hills are essentially just dirt pushed together.
Void - Void hungers, it eliminates, and it devours. That is all Void users know, and that is all Void users can do. Void governs not destruction, but complete obliteration. Nothing remains when touched by the Void. Among the Aeons, it can be said that Void is the easiest to attain. Taming the Void, however, is another matter entirely.
Time - Time is an Aeon that governs place, and the flow of one world into the next. "World" in this case, mean something as simple as someone moving from one place to the next, to perhaps in another direction, to perhaps not even moving at all. It is the Aeon that governs "possibility" and progression.
Magic Ranks - Mages are classified according to power, control, and their singularity - that is, the percentage of people that can replicate their magic.
Apprentice - a complete beginner, and can only cast the most basic of spells without much precision or skill.
Novice - Much like an Apprentice, they are still somewhat clumsy when it comes to weaving magic, however, they are not so much that they are in constant need of a Masters guidance, and can work a little more independently.
Journeyman - Skilled, though somewhat rough. To be a Journeyman means you acquired all the skills necessary for independent practice, and require little guidance from instructors. To be a Journeyman is the first step towards Mastery. Most Mages at B.U.M. are Journeymen ranked.
Master - The required rank in order to take an Apprentice. They are the masters of their craft, and a combination of skill and talent has brought them onto a stage rarely shared. Their names are most likely known globally, as most Masters habitually keep each other informed of their peers.
Grandmaster - Higher and higher, their skill and power grow. They are the Master of Masters, and in the normal course of things, unmatched. Their voice is authority, and their word is law. In the entire world, only a fifty Grandmasters exist.
Archemage - The top of those that still deign to exist in reality. Powerful is too weak; Wise is too foolish; and special is far too mundane. They are the leaders of the magical world, and are a step short of gods. In fact, they can be said to be physical gods already. Only eleven Archemage exist, and are collectively known as "The Council of Eleven"; Archemages have a nasty tendency to try and kill each other. Their battles, exceedingly rare and bloody affairs, usually take place off-plane or somewhere like the middle of the ocean to avoid accidentally reshaping the world.
Archetype - Only five with this rank exist. Reina Wisdom - "The Witch of Creation" "The Silver Brush" "The One True Nobility" Chase Asu Du Morgan - "The Golden Goddess of Destruction" "The Golden Dawn" "Why Is The Sun Coming Close-ARGH!" Night Sky - "Void Dweller" "All-Consumer" "Gluttonous Void" Yuri - "The Hegemonic and Invincible Empress Unrivaled From Heaven to Earth" Edward Carter - "Guardian of the Silver Key" "The Forgemaster" "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Killed" "Bulwark from the Madness"
Examinations - An Examination in B.U.M. is the method by which one can prove they've advanced in rank. Examinations are generally held in the presence of at least 3 Masters who have no relation to the examinee(s), and consist of seven tasks. In order for a student enrolled in B.U.M. to graduate they must reach the rank of "Master", regardless of age or number of years in the school; the graduation exam is known as "The Full Circle Exam" and is done in the presence of 7 Masters, 1 Grandmaster, and the Headmaster. Generally, most mages do not pass or attempt the Full Circle, so they opt to stay in the school longer or drop out entirely and seek independent study. On average there are 3 graduates every 11 years.
School Locations
Green are roads or pavement.
Red is the pathway of the University Train. Goes at a frighteningly fast speed, it is nevertheless reliable. But really, it goes scary fast. Imagine a roller coaster diving downwards at a ninety-degree angle and accelerating.
1 - Entrance Glyph: The main method of entrance for most people passing into the school. The Glyph itself is not "inside" the school, but is connected to it magically. There is a barrier surrounding the glyph preventing anything from entering or leaving the glyph unless carrying a special permit (such as the admission letter or student I.D.)
2 - Security office: The Security Office, where most Enforcers reside. Buildings that are color purple are security buildings, as well as clinics. The circular buildings in particular are Guard-Towers.
3 - The HAM: That's a student nickname. It's real name is the Cotton Store, but most students refer to it as The Ham, or just "huge-ass mall", because, really, it's huge. Buildings colored indigo are commercial areas, such as arcades, shops, restaurants.
4 - Student Dorms: 5 storey high apartment buildings. Most students have at least two other roommates. Built close to the dorms are botanical gardens where live pets too big for the apartments and some special plants can be kept. Each building can house 350 students, typically by threes.
5 - Administrative Offices: These are were the Department Heads for each College "Work"; empty most of the time, except for the Department of Academic Affairs, who have the honor of dealing with all of the necessary paperwork.
6 - Research Building: Most magical research is done here, due to the fact that it manages to keep your experiments from blowing up in your face, killing you, possessing you, going insane, ect. Very popular with older Journeymen.
7 - Academic Buildings & Gyms: These are where most studies are conducted. The classrooms, if you will. Sparsely populated, but no matter the time, never truly empty.
8 - Sparring and Dueling Grounds: The one place where you're permitted to beat the snot out of another student. S & D Grounds must be reserved before use, and are otherwise surrounded by a barrier.
9 - University Graveyard
10 - The Headmasters Tower: the Tower of Headmaster Niccolo. The tallest building in the university, stretching up to seventy five meters in length. The base serves as another Administrative Building for those who are asking permission to use visit the graveyard or explore the forest.
11 - Colosseum Glyph: Another teleportation glyph. It transports those inside to the floating Colosseum above the school. Special Tickets required for entry. The Colosseum is used for important events or showcases, and generally empty for most of the year.
12 - Communal Mess Hall: A large, two storey building where food is served. An amazing variety of food is always served here and breakfast is always free; however it is only open in certain times: 5:30 am - 10 am for breakfast; 12 pm - 4 pm for lunch; 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm for dinner.
13 - University Woods: Strange creatures and weird plants live here, unregulated and wild. A natural hot spot for prime ingredients and powerful familiars, it's nevertheless easily the most dangerous place in the University. Permission is required to enter and Novices and below are forbidden outright.
Field Trips - Only Novices and above can go on school field trips. Some locations may require you to be at least Journeyman rank, and sometimes with a Masters permission or presence. Field Trips are usually undertaken for the purpose of gathering materials, study, or experience. Locations include the likes of the realm of the Fae, Atlantis, and Tartarus. Requests for a field trip must be submitted through the Department of Academic Affairs with at the signatures of at least three participants - you are not allowed to go on a field trip alone!
I.D. - the all important Information Document! Each faculty and student is issued their own, unique ID upon acceptance to the school. Don't mistake them for just an average piece of plastic, however. The ID's contain powerful identification magic that not only allows you pass through most of the schools natural defenses unharmed, but also access its facilities. Without an ID, good luck being able to do things like take the train, receive letters from outside the school, or even go shopping!

Heyo, here's Viola again. Made a few tiny adjustments to her magic, but its mostly the same. Do tell if there are problems of course~
"Do I know you? No, I don't think so, But do you want to play anyways? No? Waaah? You'll make a little girl cry...That's too bad...I am Viola Rifei, pleasure to make your acquaintance. Care for some tea? Ah, don't mind the floating teacups. My friends are just oh so delighted to have a new playmate~"
Name: Viola Rifei
Age: 17
Gender: female
"Despite my appearance, I am not a child and would appreciate it if you did treat me as one...unless you plan on spoiling me. Then go ahead, hehe~"
Appearance: Standing at four foot seven and usually sporting a slightly mischievous, somewhat knowing seeming smirk, Viola is definitely not what one would call physically impressive. Slender, and lacking any sort of definite muscle. Sometimes, she is mistaken for a child because of her appearance. Her skin is free of any blemishes and markings of any kind. Her eyes are a dark grey color and sports black colored hair that falls well past her shoulders.
Clothing wise, she is a fan of rather complicated and somewhat eccentric and expensive dresses, preferring darker colors such as black, purple, and dark blue. Her current dress is a black dress, with white accents and red bows that falls to her waist where it meets a pair of black stockings and dress shoes. Why she chose to wear those instead of something more suiting is anyone guess. Some assume she's simply the child of a wealthy family and takes very good care of herself and is quite the pampered little brat, and doesn't know any better. She comments she simply likes the style.
Year: 2nd
Rank: Novice
Room No.:
Personality: Viola...definitely does not behave the way her appearance might suggest. At first impression, she'd come off as incredibly formal and polite. Talk with her just a short bit though, and you'll find a self-centered, cynical, mischievous, somewhat playfully aggressive and slightly vain person who has a rather large seeming ego. However, this is just her attempting to be 'cute' or 'cheeky'. Truthfully, she doesn't take her own words to heart, and would never consider herself better than anyone.
After that, she is fairly friendly and likes meeting people and being around people, and also simply likes watching them for...entertainment purposes. She is a bit of an instigator, and likes causing a bit of mischief around campus for her own giggles, often aided by a friend or two. Another thing to note, would be an insatiable curiosity about anything and everything. Magic, history, technology...everything. While her physical skills are lacking, her academic studies and focus on such things likely make her one of the smarter persons in the school.
Unfortunately, her overly friendly, 'cute' and otherwise cheeky demeanor is a well worn mask. Make no mistake, it is her true personality, but its a rather misleading one. In general, she is a pragmatist and a rather cynical realist. She doens't like those with lofty ideals, preferring more practical applications. When it comes down to it though, she doesn't like picking sides in anything and generally will go with whatever those around her do if she's not the one leading the play - it will be amusing to see the result anyways. All she wants, after all, is a good show.
Magic Discipline:
Spirit Contractor
Simply put, Viola is quite in tune with the spiritual forces of the world. Creatures that initially have no corporeal form, or possibly those creatures such as Naiads, Dryads, or Nymphs, she can usually communicate with on some level. This can offer her quite a bit of versatility when it comes to combat and skills, as each spirit offers her a differing set of abilities, usually. Most usually, she may 'Contract' a spirit, as in give it a physical form and have it become a permanent partner until she decides to terminate that contract gaining them as a permanent 'familiar' of sorts. She can in fact, summon certain spirits and form a contract as such but she finds it a little annoying since it's a rather impersonal process though she will use it if its something she definitely wants.
Some things to keep in mind though, is that summoning spirits usually takes quite a while, depending on the skill of the summoner and the rank of the spirit. It is also a one time deal, the duration of their help only usually lasting for a brief moment in time, lasting typically anywhere from fifteen to thirty minutes. This can have quite the downside in a direct conflict, since she would require protection of some sort to be able to summon one. The power of the spirit varies, but typically they can be quite devastating against most foes. They may manifest themselves as a separate entity, or merely lend a fraction of their power to Viola for her to command themselves. Another spirit summoner could possibly force the spirit back to wherever it came as well, should they be skilled enough. She could summon more than one in such a fashion, but it would require each spirit to be much less powerful in strength.
Contracting a spirit is entirely different, however. It requires the contractor to make a deal with the spirit directly for whatever reason. Upon completion of the contract, the spirit begins living 'with' the mage, typically they start sharing a body, and their power is easily summoned by the mage. Typically, a mark of some sort will appear on the users flesh in the form of a symbol representing them - though it is usually only active when the spirits power is invoked. The contents of the contract can be anything the spirit or mage desire. This offers quite an advantage over simply summoning one for a duration of time as a quick help at the offer of the users mana.
However, there are a few downsides to this. Most notable, is that the more contracts she has, the more strain it would be to perform a temporary summoning ritual. As well, as a novice she could potentially only have a single contract at the same time, and use the spirits help to summon similarly aligned elementals of weaker rank. Of course, the more skilled she becomes with managing the spirits as well as her own powers she could learn to handle more spirits. As well - using more than one contract at a time is somewhat difficult to do for a Novice. While she can switch between two spirits with some ease as long as they are relatively in sync and nothing is distracting, controlling more than a single spirit at once is currently beyond her.
To contract one, it varies from spirit to spirit. It could be as simple as a binding, verbal agreement, or as bad as a seal signed in blood. She of course, must uphold her end of the bargain to whatever the spirit or summoned entity requires no matter how odd or arduous. As such, she practices negotiating and speaking with a number of spirits.
Currently, as a simple Novice she is capable enough. Summoning a spirit typically requires quite a bit of time, though and she would need to be quite careful when contracting a stronger one, and she currently doesn't have one. It is more difficult to forcibly send back a contracted spirit, as by law of the contract they are forbidden from leaving until they terminate the contract.
Equipment: Carries a journal on her, where she keeps up with various spells, rituals, and names of potentially interesting spirits she learned from her master.
Biography: Viola's life has been rather...mundane, if one counts being raised by a Mage who made it quite clear she wasn't her parent as mundane. That's not to say Livia wasn't a loving guardian figure, but she was incredibly strict and made sure Viola knew the meaning of the word 'Study' and 'Academics'. In fact, the two got along surprisingly well, with Viola's natural curiosity and propensity for things of the academic nature, save for the both of theirs rather...mischievous natures.
When she was ten, she started learning the practical applications of magic, starting with simply 'seeing' the spirits. When she was twelve, she started learning how to communicate with them, which was made difficult by the fact that each spirit sometimes had a different way to communicate. A different dialect, language, or sometimes they didn't communicate at all, depending on their origins. When fourteen, she summoned her first spirit under Livia's supervision.
That was about the extent of their relationship. Livia told her should should pursue her own studies after that. Viola of course, decided to take her up on that offer and has been studying at B.U.M. for the past year or so.
Master: Livia Fiore. A User of spirit herself, who insisted upon being called 'Mistress' when she was apprenticing under her. She taught her the basics and saw her through her first summoning, but after that Viola was on her own. Livia, and likewise Viola, are large believers in independent study and after making sure she knew everything in theory, she let Viola go and study on her own. Livia herself, is a bit of a recluse who rarely leaves her manor and prefers the company of her spirits and books.
It's unlikely she will take another, unless the benefit would be too great for her to say no too.
If [Viola] was forced to sacrifice something important in order to move forward, it would be: Anything is fair game, it would just depend on if the sacrifice was worth it. Nothing is too valuable to lose, if what would be gained was of perceived equal value. Otherwise, she wouldn't take the deal.
If no one else would step up to the plate and this was an important matter, she'd step up to the plate without hesitation though.
If [Viola] was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: Simply put, Immortality and beauty. She would give up everything for the chance for it. A simple, age-old want that quite a few men have had in the past. What? She's a vain little thing.
Various Poltergeists: Harmless things, really nothing more than a nuisance, but they seem to follow Viola around quite a bit after she made friends with a few of them after frequent trips to the graveyard. They mostly do her house chores and spook visitors to her dorm. Don't expect anything in her room to be where you left it. Do note she hasn't really contracted them. They just follow her around like lost puppies.
The writing of my character sheet is taking a tad longer than expected, so I might not be able to get it up tonight. I'll try to finish and post it tomorrow morning, just wanted to let you know that it's in the works :)
Appearance: Kai is a really energetic redheaded guy with a contagious happiness, he always walks around with comfortable clothes, sneakers and shorts, sometimes even when it's cold. He is really short but his body is really muscular, not bulky, but he has defined muscles. Here's a photo:
Year: 1
Rank: Journeyman
Room No.:
Personality: He is a really happy guy, really friendly and energetic, he gets easily bored when he is doing nothing, which for him also includes theory classes. He is really dreamy and he makes sure everyone knows that he dreams of one day becoming the archetype of Time. His dedication and training show that he really has that objective in mind and nothing and no one will stop him from trying to achieve his objective.
Magic Discipline - Speed and Slow: Kai magic is all focused around the control of time, either if it is to accelerate is body to reach high speeds or to slow everything around him allowing him to have time to think in situations when decisions have to be made fast. Not having full control of his magic Kai can only accelerate his body as long as he holds his breath, not being able to breathe while in "fast mode". In fast mode he is 5 times faster than his normal speed. When he used his magic to slow his surroundings he cannot move but he can take a decision in one second that would normally take him 5 seconds to make, only people in a 20 meters radius around him are slowed, and he can only slow time for 3 seconds (which for him turns into 15).
Equipment: Nothing other than his clothes and a backpack.
Biography: Kai was born in a strong rich magic family, his parents were always restrict with his magic education so he started learning magic when he was 5. The way his parents taught him magic was never appreciated by Kai, they were to methodical, and for him using magic was spontaneous. The only one in his family that understood Kai was his father's brother, uncle Marcus. For him uncle Marcus was something out of the ordinary, it never seemed like his uncle belong to that family. He was free from all the bureaucracies, dinners and business that surrounded the family, and one day, when Kai was 10, his uncle offered himself to be Kai's Master, after that day Kai really understood his potential and how beautiful magic was, and in the first day of training with his uncle Kai decided that his objective would be to become the next Archetype of Time.
Master: Marcus Hartz, his uncle and Grandmaster specialized in time magic, even though he doesn't like that title and most of the people that know him don't know that information about him, not even Kai
If Kai was forced to sacrifice something important in order to move forward, it would be: To achieve his objective Kai would sacrifice everything but never his friends. He would never put himself first to his true friends, and would even sacrifice himself if the others life depended on it. If Kai was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: The wish that would always be in his mind would be to become the Archetype, but he would never wish it, he wants to reach that objective but with his hard work, not through help of the others nor his family name.
@Kaesus I'll need a bit more detail on how his magic works. Limitations, duration, etc.; as of now the description is too general and subject to abuse. I'll also need you to PM me details on Marcus's Master, generally, I don't ask for details however you've set his rank at Grandmaster which, in story, is a very big deal, so I need information on him as well, including any plans you might have for him in the future.
Finally - and this is a very minor nitpick - there are a few spelling and grammar errors littered throughout your CS. Just edit those and address the points above, and you'll be golden.
Elli is 5'2" and 107 pounds of tiny healer. She really likes sweets but rarely eats them, trying to keep her figure down. Her hair is redish-brown and her eyes are a faded emerald green color. Her skin is pale and her nose is covered in freckles. She is often seen with a bag of goodies to give away to someone least expecting it and clothes that look akin to a school uniform.
Year: 2 years
Rank: Apprentice
Room No.:
Personality:
Quiet and kind are words often used to describe Elli and they are not untrue. She is type of girl who does anything to help others in need, going out of her way to help others even if it means hard work on her part. She will give a stranger the clothes off of her back if she felt it necessary. She has a deep love for all of the places she has lived and does whatever she can to make the places she calls home better. Her grandmother once told her, “You don’t need to love what you do. You can make boxes, or clean bathrooms, it doesn’t matter. You just need to be the best at it. Elli, dear. If you ever find yourself making boxes, make the best dang boxes around like I know you will.”
Despite being someone willing to give you the clothes off of her back, Elli is oddly closed off from others, preferring to keep her issues to herself. She would rather cry alone in her room than seek comfort from others, even if she strongly desires it. She deals pretty well with stress and is often seen smiling, making others see her as a happy girl, but that is simply because they have never seen her cry.
Being away from her family has always put a strain on Elli but the letters she receives from them make things bearable. She is a homebody despite being someone who lives away from home. Her plans are to experience much of the world before returning to her hometown to impart upon it the wisdom she garners from her travels.
Magic Discipline: Healing
Elli uses her magic to heal others. She cannot heal herself just yet as she is more focused on how to heal others. Her magic focuses somewhat on an aspect of time as she tends to focus on the way the affect area was before. Her magic rewinds time back to a time when the affected area was healthy. This takes a lot of magic and concentration however, so Elli can really only heal small cuts and scraps currently. If she tries to heal more than she can handle, she can pass out and even take the wound on herself as backlash.
Equipment:
A journal that she records different spells and potions to make for healing. She also has a small lab kit that she uses to experiment with different materials to create her own healing potions.
Biography:
Elli was always the awkward child growing up. She always tried to be likable, but was very conscious of her appearance, something that often bothered her. She got picked on as a child for being a bit larger than the rest, since she liked sweets so much. The boy whom she had a crush on often snickered in her direction and she once overheard him telling his friends to lay off of him, that he’d never like a “cow like her.” To this day, that memory plays over in her head whenever she begins to develop feelings for someone.
Elli’s parents were very doting, and Elli’s father had a hard time tell his daughter no. When her younger brother was born, she had a hard time dealing with him because of the jealousy as her father often played with Stu. However, because of this, Elli got much closer to her mother who shared with Elli her love for medicine and nursing which Elli kept even after the death of her parents. She became very protective of her brother and grandmother, often taking the role of a mother for the both of them.
Elli’s dream job is to own a clinic of her very own where no one is ever turned away because they cannot afford care. She wants to heal people without the use of harsh medicine if possible, and values laughter and relationships as a form of healing.
Master: Margret Winters, Elli's grandmother. Margret Winters isn't the best magic user, but she taught Elli everything she knows up to the point when Elli started going to B.U.M.
If Elli was forced to sacrifice something important in order to move forward, it would be: Any and all material things. She could never give up her family but she can always part with things, even things that haven sentimental value. If Elli was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: Elli would want to have more time with her parents.
Personality: Quiet, but not in a shy way. The aura she gives can be off putting, even evil, or sinister to most, She has, simply put, a wicked look in her eyes, She isn't malicious or rude, in fact she is quite the opposite, if people got to know her she would seem nice and caring.
Magic Discipline:
Shadow Weaver
- Luna lives in the shadows, which is convient since she has a knack for bending them to her will. She is good at obscuring herself or other objects even in plain site, aswell as her ability to seize and control things, and others completely with her abailty to teather to their shadows. She was known as a child for her wicked touch, that could erase a mans very existence. But that is not true, as she only can temporarily banish them. She may find out later, her father was the one who actually killed the butler. Mechanically She is powerful at only at a medium to short range as the closer she is the stronger her teather and obscuring of things works, And she is seemingly powerless in the Direct daylight, as she cannot create shadows only manipulate them.
Equipment: A pair of headphones, with an Mp3 player, and a stuffed Bear she carries with her everywhere.
Biography:Luna grew up with a great amount of wealth, and was always a secluded and Quiet child, especially after the incident. She in her sleep seemingly made one of the family butlers disappear into the shadows when she was only 5. She no longer sleeps much, less then 6 hours a week. Her father tried to hide his daughter's gifts from the world, but word got out and his daughter was known as the cursed child. So he taught her how to manipulate the shadows around her, how to hide herself, and how to erase all that would harm her. Luna was alone on the inside, but Luna kept up a brave face, even when her father was imprisoned a year ago, for committing great crimes, using his magic to murder innocent people. Now she has come to this school Hoping to not only have a place to live, but to control her gifts and to change peoples opinions of the cursed child, and her murderous father.
Master: Her father, Lythail Darkthorn
If Luna was forced to sacrifice something important in order to move forward, it would be: Her Wealth If [Luna] was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: For people to stop seeing her as the cursed child of a wicked, and truly evil father, and accept her for the person she is, or rather the person she wants to be.
@Deadlyrose9641 Her power isn't really acceptable for her rank, and it's too sparsely detailed. I can accept other aspects of it, such as hiding herself and others, but outright deleting people is a no for me, especially since you've not defined its limits and the method. Overall, I need a lot more details concerning her magic before I can accept her.
Gender: Male Appearance: Alex is strikingly beautiful. It's even more striking when you learn that he is a boy. His hair is platinum blonde, almost pale enough to be white. It grows fast enough that keeping it short is simply not practical, so it usually stays fairly long. His lashes are very long. His skin is perfectly smooth, with almost no body hair, and he has rosy pink lips. He's got a very lean figure, with narrow shoulders and little muscle (He's working on it and enjoys swiming.) He's a bit on the short side, at 5'5. Normally he wears contacts as a matter of convenience, but he also has glasses.
Year: 1
Rank: Journeyman
Room No.:
Personality: Alex is a very gentle natured person. He dislikes conflict, and tries his best to avoid hurting or offending people. Because of this, he is extremely easy to coerce into doing things. He is somewhat timid, but is trying to get over it. He has a deep dislike of lying, and tends to feel very guilty if he does so, to the point where he avoids it at all costs. Alex is easily flustered, whether it's by being complimented or having his feminine appearance made fun of. His interests include video games, anime, the beach, kung fu movies, swimming, and soccer.
Magic Discipline: Forms: Alex's power works like a magical 3D printer. He creates materials (sometimes earthly, sometimes not) using magical power. He has specific techniques for creating those materials so they assemble themselves into a given form. Each form can be thought of as similar to a recipe: He can't just make a bunch of whatever material Shikigami is made of. He has to make Shikigami. He can dictate some features of a Form when he summons them (e.g. he can summon BoxDog at a given size, or decide what color his Fireworks are,) but he has to summon an actual form. It takes time to learn how to do a given form, too. Individual forms get stronger as Alex uses them. For example, when he first learned to use BoxDog, that form did not have the ability to change size.
Shikigami: Shikigami's default form is a 6 foot by 3 foot (Like 2 meters by 1 meter) sheet of paper-thin material. One side appears as regular paper, but with eyes and mouths drawn on it. Despite being drawn on it, the mouths and eyes move as if they are real. This side can "stick" to things, and is extremely hard to get off. You'd probably need a crowbar to do so. The other side can take on any texture. Shikigami can use this aspect to camouflage itself perfectly, even while moving. Shikigami's body is very elastic, and can stretch up to three times it's length before breaking. Shikigami can also split itself, dividing and reforming into multiple copies. Each copy shares the same hive mind. Shikigami is very flammable, and if it's too cold, it will become brittle and start to crumble. Poking one of Shikigami's eyes will cause it to immediately release its hold on an object. Shikigami moves by floating around. It can't float very quickly. It's about as fast as a brisk job would be for a human. DogBox: DogBox is a large cube, with a zig-zag shaped cut forming a jagged mouth. Two large googly eyes are on either side, it has a corkscrew-shaped tail, and four stubby, cylindrical legs. DogBox can grow and shrink, thought it always has the same strength. Its 'default' size is 2 feet on all sides. However, it can shrink down to four inches on all sides, or up to 8 feet on all sides. However, even in its largest form, DogBox only weighs about 50 pounds. This is because DogBox is hollow and made of magical cardboard. This cardboard is actually about as strong as steel. Unfortunately, it is still as flammable as regular cardboard, and soaking it in water will drastically soften it, slowing DogBox down and weakening it overall. Due to DogBox's light weight, it is very fast. About as fast as a horse. However, this also means that DogBox can be picked up and thrown pretty easily. It does have very strong jaws. If it bites you, it's probably going to take off a limb. If it just swallows you whole, you're gonna have a hard time trying to get out until it opens its mouth again. Despite it's light weight, it's actually very strong and can hold up to 500 pounds. Fireworks: Featureless spheres. They look like they're made of CGI, so it's a bit jarring to see them in real life. They can be any color Alex likes. Unlike his other summons, they're just inanimate objects, though they do levitate if Alex focuses on them, and he can make them float around. He can manipulate three at a time. There's no real limit to how far he can move them, just so long as they stay within his peripheral vision. If he loses sight of them for more than like a second or two they fall. And that's a problem, because if they get hit with a moderately strong impact, they explode, sending beautiful sparks everywhere. They're pretty, but very hot, and you don't want one exploding in your face. The sparks do burn out after about 5 feet, so Alex can just send them into the sky and set them off. They're very pretty.
Equipment: His laptop, some video games.
Biography: Alex had a pretty crappy homelife for the first ten years of his life. His father was manipulative and controlling and honestly just a douchebag in general. Finally, his mom got the nerve to split up with his father, moving from London to California. They got divorce, and Leesa got full custody of Alex...Most of the time. Conditional upon her leaving him with his father to train magic for a weekend every month. His father was a strict teacher, and constantly belittled BoogerPenis during training. He learned the fundamentals of summoning, but his relationship with his father was the most part strained. Finally, on his 14th birthday, he was told that if he went to Breakfast University, he would no longer have to spend weekends with his father. He eagerly accepted.
Master: His father, Roger. A Master rank that uses the same magical tradition as Alex. He uses his Forms to do security.
If Alex was forced to sacrifice something important in order to move forward, it would be: He doesn't have much. So if it was something that he really, truly desired he'd have to start lopping off body parts.
If Alex was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: More wishes, of course.

Nialla has a taste for fine art and loves to enjoy the finer things in life, this is true, but he also understands that not everyone was afforded the opportunities he has and thus can understand and sympathize. Nialla is very mature for his age and quite intelligent. He has an appreciation for life, but going through loss and depression has caused changes. He can be quiet when approached by someone he doesn't know, even breaching the line of cold to a degree, but it is a defense mechanism. If you've earned his friendship, rest assured that he won't give it up without a fight.
Magic Discipline:
Music - Trained in the arcane art of Music Magic, a branch of Sound Magic, Nialla can tap into the raw arcane energy that flows. Music is powerful and sound is powerful. Utilizing his affinity over this form of magic can have a variety of effects. By humming, he can produce barriers or enchantments. By playing his violin, he can cause miraculous things to occur, such as producing bolts of energy or ensnaring the senses of others just to name a few things. In order for curses and hexes to work using music, the target must hear it. Area spells work in a 30 ft radius. His forcefields are as strong as his will and strength of his connection with the arcane energies.
Equipment: - A violin was given to him by his master to help conduct his arcane energy. He named it Kí (pronounced Ke-e). The violin was crafted from elderwood, known for its magical properties, and quite rare. He can summon the violin at will and is extremely proficient in playing it. - The normal things a student would have in his enchanted bag. Spellbooks, notebooks, pens, etc...
Biography: Born in a very wealthy upper-class family, the House of Virsai, Nialla was always held to a higher regard by both stranger and family alike. At a very young age, he showed an ability to wield magic. Growing up in a family of spellcasters, life wasn't always easy. He was always pushed to do better. The patriarch of his family saw the potential in him, he saw how easily he manipulated the energies around him, and thus began his intense training. Nialla went through his life discovering magic, learning it, finding out what did and what didn't work, and thanks to his grandfather, he was able to understand. B.U.M caught the eye of his mother and father who petitioned with the Grandmaster to send Nialla there to learn. Though stubborn, the Grandmaster understood that his time was short and Nialla would need to continue his training. Amidst the training, Nialla discovered himself. He was able to get away every now and then and breathe, enjoying life.
When he turned 14, he met another trainee, Nicolai. He and Nicolai spent copious amounts of time together. On his 16th birthday, they both joined B.U.M, and on his 17th birthday, he learned of Nicolai's death. Nicolai's family didn't speak on how he died, only informing Nialla's parents of the death. Devastated upon losing the only guy he ever loved, he fell into depression. He attended the funeral, but the casket was never opened. He mourned for days, blending into weeks until he began to slowly pull out of his emotional state.
It has been a year since the loss, and yet he still has nightmares, he still wakes up in the middle of the night with tears in his eyes. He has tried to move on but to no avail. Instead, he plunged into his school work hoping to ease his troubled mind. Throughout everything, his grades never faltered, and his learning never waivered.
Master: His master is the patriarch of his family. The Grandmaster of the House of Virsai taught him all he knows. Grandmaster Virsai is an immensely powerful man, someone who Nialla deeply respects. He stands at 6 foot 9 inches and has a slender build. His eyes are a sapphire blue and seem to peer into the very souls of those he talks to. Grandmaster Virsai has silver hair ending at the middle of his back. His beard extends to the tip of his belly button and is also silver. He appears to be no older than 50, but his age is unknown.
If Nialla was forced to sacrifice something important in order to move forward, it would be: His emotions. He doesn’t want to hurt anymore. Most nights he still thinks of him, and it causes a mixture of emotions to flare up. There’s nothing he can do about it, he’s tried moving on, but he is always reminded of him. He sees him in his sleep. He would love to give up his emotions in order to move forward in life.
If Nialla was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: to see his deceased boyfriend with whom he was building a life together before things went south. He would love to be able to say goodbye and close that chapter of his life. Sadly his love died, though the cause of death was never revealed to Nialla and it tortures him to this day.
Not done just yet. Will be done tomorrow for sure, just showing what I'm working on.
Name: Nico Doppelgänger
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: Nico's natural appearance stands at 5'7" with a decently athletic build. He has naturally dark green unkempt hair which could be attributed to his family lineage of shapeshifters. His normal taste in clothes revolves around him just wanting to stay warm no matter the weather and can often been seen sporting a jacket no matter how hot it could be. Nico likes to wear a bored look on his face at all times as he can just alter the way he looks to suit the mood of the room.
Year: 2
Rank: Journeyman
Room No.:
Personality: Nico is a quiet individual when in his normal form and and can come off as shy. He isn't an easy person to get to open up, but if he gets comfortable around a person it is a lot easier to become friends with him. This is contrasted by his shapeshifting as whoever he transforms into he tries and impersonates their personality as well. He is very good as masking his own personality so that he can imitate any person, though his true side could show at times.
Magic Discipline:Shapeshifting Nico is able to mold his shape into any desired appearance of a person using his magic to add or reduce his physical appearance. There is no difference between the changing people the body of a male or a female according to the magic with the limitation being with the user of the magic. Nico has to envision his body as a formless block of clay needing to be molded into the desired form of the time and can at times even alter his clothing. His current level with the magic limits him to the natural human form with no additions or alterations. He can not create his own appearances either and requires a reference point to create an appearance.
Equipment: Carries a digital camera around with him most of the time. Also owns a film camera that isn't always on his person.
Biography: Nico was born into a famed mage family that did not officially exist. The specialty of the family was shapeshifting and mind altering magic as members of the family would hire themselves out for espionage since the early 2nd century. Nico was born into this famed family and had high expectations to live up to when he started his training at a young age. His father would send him out into the back woods of Germany for survival training where he could be left alone for several days and just told to survive on his own skills.
He was told for a long time that the Doppelgängers did not exist and that they live in the shadows and they are never to reveal their network. He was chosen as the oldest of four to attend B.U.M. to expand his knowledge in magic and to find his own special style within the realms of the magic accustom of the Doppelgänger family.
Master: Klaus Doppelgänger Klaus Doppelgänger is a high level mage who is in at Master level and only stays at master level to not draw attention to himself and his family lineage. He could be considered a master in shapeshifting being able to not only transform into other people at the drop of a hat but even animals if needed. He is also able to spin clothes out of thin air to be able to adjust to the situation that he is in. Another skill would be that to alter the minds of those that he was around if they are weak enough of mind so that it would seem that they had know his persona for extended periods of time. During a master apprentice relationship, he is a strict and demanding man who expects nothing expect perfection from those that learn under him.
If Nico was forced to sacrifice something important in order to move forward, it would be: Nico sees everything as exchangeable if the price is right. There must be an exchange of equal value for it to be worthwhile for the shapeshifter.
If Nico was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: There is only one thing that Nico really desires as a mage. Power and information are all that he desires in life.
dude, so far I totally dig your character, and correct but if I'm wrong but he is from a famous magic family and he is a bit smug about his family name right?
I think would be really funny to have him to share bedroom with Kai, because he is also from a famous family but he is totally chilled about it, and doesn't even likes to tell people his surname. So they could be kind of rivals in the future.
My character sheet is almost done, just have biography left to write down. Sorry it's taking so long, it's not even all that lengthy! I'm just so paranoid of grammar issues and nonsenses that I keep reading it over and tweaking things...
