C O N C E P T A B S T R A C T:

Previous attempts at Static for me was to modernize him to present day. Which I still want to do; However, I felt while being knowledgeable with first hand experience of the urban jungle that Static took place in, I lost the feel of the character because of my own interpretation of these elements. My goal for now is to while creating a more modern story, make sure I can stick to the mood and flow of both the comic and TV continuities. Without losing anything in between. This will also means a few of his rogues gallery will be very different depending on what media you are used to viewing Static, (As I will admit to actually follow more of the comic book variants of the characters, while adding fillings of TV show stuff here and there.)

N O T E S:

Virgil will essentially be starting as a Year Zero, he will not be a perfect hero with a plan because he’s an idiot teenager with no clue what he WANTS to do in his life. This also means outside of his knowledge of STAR Labs (Where his father works.) He hasn’t much clue or interaction with ANY other hero. I have more than a few things planned with the villains as well in terms of escalating them into more threatening villains that they were in any of their medias but I want to stick to establishing one character before moving onto others.

My Main goal will be interaction with the more technically and scientifically minded individuals of this RP, along with more of the sillier ones. A character like this Static, is with very few influences in life and I believe for a person it's good to have someone positive to look up to. Especially when the world around you is shite. (And seeing that I am basing Dakota City on a combination of Chicago and Detriot...I will it will be appropriate.)

I just want to write Wally as a Justice Leaguing, ass-kicking Flash. Barry’s been dead for six years, and Wally’s been the Flash for about that long. He helps Aunt Iris with her twins, Don and Dawn, and his cousin, Wally Joseph, all while wondering to himself when he should pop the question to Linda. The Rogues are a pain, the Reverse Flashes are a seemingly far away nightmare, and Dick and Peter are just a phone call away should Wally ever need any help. And it goes without saying that despite his impulsivity, Bart’s a good kid, and a partner that Wally’s glad to have. In short, whereas with Peter I have a clear story in mind, with Wally I want to have a bit more freeform fun. While Spidey’s still accessible for Crossovers and Crisis events, Wally’s pretty much exclusively here for that stuff. That’s not to say that I don’t have any themes or character arcs that I want to explore – legacy’s a big one, and there’s a chance that I might get weird with the paradoxical nature of speedsters and all that fun stuff later on. As such, Wally’s Chapters aren’t so much story arcs, but the character arcs he experiences through Crossovers and the game’s other events. So yeah.

He left behind his wife and infant twins, Don and Dawn.

Iris Ann West-Allen | Known to Wally as Aunt Iris, she’s been a mother to him ever since he was a kid, spending time with him when his parents neglected him. A successful and well-known journalist, much of her prosperity is owed to her investigative and civics pieces – as a prominent voice in Central City, she’s one of its most publicly known citizens, almost (but not quite) as well known as Metropolis’ Lois Lane. She currently juggles raising her youngest nephew and her and Barry’s twins with her journalism. It’s exhausting.

Don and Dawn Allen | The children of Iris and the late Barry Allen, Don and Dawn are now six years old.

Linda Park | Wally’s girlfriend of five years, Linda works as a reporter for WKEY Channel 4 News. She is well aware of his activities as the Flash.

Joseph “Joe” West | Wallace West’s second son, the result of a drunken affair with an African American woman. Raised by Wallace and his wife, Joe was treated as if he was truly the product of their marriage, given as much love and care as his half-brother, William. At the age of forty, Joe took in his brother and his niece, Iris, after the former was crippled by his youngest child, Daniel. Daniel had run away after the incident. Joe is a captain at the CCPD, and was a good friend and ally to Barry. He supports Wally as the Flash, proud of the path his great-nephew is taking.

Wallace Joseph “Wally Joseph” “Joey” West | The product of a teen fling, Wally Joseph was named after his great grandfather, Wallace, and great uncle, Joe – Daniel West’s idea of thanking Joe for taking Iris in after he crippled their father. At fifteen, Joey is in Iris (and Wally’s) care, as Daniel is an absentee father/supervillain and therefore not a suitable caretaker for his son.

Jason “Jay” Garrick // The Flash (I) | The original Flash, Jay’s connection to the Speed Force has allowed him to live far longer than his beloved wife, Joan. Having lived through more than anyone besides Steve Rogers, he’s a ninety-nine year-old source of boundless wisdom, making it through World War Two, Vietnam, and the rise of metahumanity, as well as helping found the Justice Society – and he only looks like he’s in his early sixties. Wally’s personal hero since childhood, he’s always there when the young West needs some guidance.

Dick Grayson // Nightwing | Wally’s best friend since he first started out as Kid Flash. Up for discussion.

Peter Parker // Spider-Man | Wally’s other best friend since he first started out with the Teen Titans.

Roy Harper // Arsenal | Wally’s other other best friend since he started out with the Teen Titans.

This incarnation of Vic Sage, the Question, is different from some of his earlier incarnations in quite a few ways. For starters, he's only just started his life as a masked vigilante, being only a month into his career which has mostly consisted of punching petty thieves and small time drug dealers. Some other differences arise: Vic did not grow up an orphan, and had two loving parents who recently passed away. He's also in his first few months as a news anchor for World Wide Broadcasting in Hub City, Illinois.

Currently, Vic's biggest bust in his career was taking down Dr. Arby Twain, who was planning on illegally selling Pseudoderm, a skinlike substance that can be used as a bandage, to third world countries. However, there was one catch: the bonding agent used to cement it to things was toxic to open wounds. Twain, however, knew the risks and was still willing to continue with the sale. Vic, utilizing a mask made of Pseudoderm, decided to create the vigilante alter ego of 'The Question' to take Twain down.

After leaving Twain trapped in Pseudoderm in front of the police station, Vic continued to use this new alter ego to combat crime. So far, he hasn't stumbled upon anything big, but he will!

THE QUESTION IN

THE HUB CITY HAPPENING!

A cult has been terrorizing Hub City for some time now, taking teenaged girls from their homes and slaughtering them for a blood sacrifice, whereafter the horribly mangled bodies are returned to their beds the night after they go missing. The HCPD has lost hope in catching those involved, and the Question has tasked himself with tracking down and bringing this cult to justice before they can kill another innocent girl.

As mentioned above, Vic is pretty green currently and not at all jaded.
Vic has taken an interest in reading up on Buddhist philosophy as well as the way of Native American shamans.
Vic has a strange fear of aglets, the plastic tips at the ends of shoelaces. For this reason, he exclusively wears loafers, velcro shoes, or cuts the aglets off of the shoelaces.
Vic is not a skilled martial artist; his fighting style is mostly down and dirty brawling.
Vic uses a mask made of Pseudoderm to hide all of his facial features. It is cemented to his face via the bonding agent, which takes the form of a gas released from a special canister in his belt; the agent was modified by Professor Rodor to also change his hair color from bright ginger red to pitch black. The mask can also be rolled up into a ball and stored in his belt buckle.
Vic currently has one gadget: a grappling gun.
Vic frequently uses the bonding agent to intimidate criminals, saying it will take away their faces to scare them into giving him what he wants.

Supporting Cast/Important People

Professor Aristotle 'Tot' Rodor: 'Tot' is a friend of the Sages and Vic's professor in college. Due to having known him his whole life, Vic is close with Tot and views him as a grandfather figure. Tot was the person who designed Pseudoderm along with his colleague, Dr. Arby Twain. He also designed Vic's mask, giving it to him to stop Twain without having his identity revealed. Tot continues to help by providing first aid to Vic when he is injured, as well as designing new gadgets for Vic to use in his crusade.

More to come as Vic develops relationships with the rest of the cast.

Shang was raised to become a deadly assassin by his father, the immortal crimelord and sorcerer Fu Manchu. Feeling lessons from various masters were not enough, the boy was also subjected to alchemy and a virtual reality feed of techniques and styles while he slept. However, Shang Chi became aware of his father's evil and faked his death after his first assignment. He then began to attack various elements of his father's criminal empire and allied himself with his father's enemy, Denis Nayland Smith. In retaliation, Fu Manchu sent a number of assassins to kill him.

His travels led him to meet a number of other martial artists and superheroes around the world: he met his rival, Cat and teamed up with Iron Fist, Jack of Hearts and White Tiger to take down the Corporation.After years of playing at "games of deceit and death", Shang-Chi retired from the espionage world.

Further, going along with this, I plan to follow up with Shang’s travels around the world as well as his encounters with assassins sent by his father. This would also be fairly action packed, with Shang very much questioning the nature of the world around him. That with so much violence and death, where would it all eventually lead? What would the world become?This particular character is the one that is going to be more or less following his own story throughout the RP but, crossovers are welcomed. Just be sure to PM me.

• Essentially, his age was determined through Bruce Lee’s age in Way of the Dragon, which was about 31. I picked this, as I’d say it was about Lee’s prime, and, Shang-Chi, in earlier incarnations, was obviously based on him, thus making him the Bruce Lee of the superhero community’s Martial Artists.
