[OOC] Titans - New Generation

History
The Titans were a Branch of the Justice League originally run by Batman, to complete missions for the league and help maintain peace on the western coast on the U.S, as well as scope out future League members. 5 years ago half of the original Titans were killed saving the world from certain doom. The team was facing off against Trigon the Lord of Madness, who sought to end the world his daughter Raven, a member of the titans had become so fond of. The battle was long, and destroyed much of San Francisco and completely annihilated Titan’s tower. After emerging victorious, at a great cost, the League agreed the team be left disbanded until a time came when a new team was to be established. That time is now.

Six months ago, Slade Wilson, otherwise known as Deathstroke murdered Green Arrow, Oliver Queen, in cold blood, making him the number one target of the league. Recently, the league has become overwhelmed with tasks, having an army of villains and enemies constantly seeking their downfall. Due to the overwhelming circumstances, the League has brought back the junior team for its second incarnation with main goal of bringing Deathstroke to justice. Nightwing, now a member of the Justice League has been put in charge of the new team of junior heroes, to guide them as they prove themselves worthy of joining the league and hunt the most wanted super villain alive.

The First Titans

Robin (Dick Grayson)- Gave up the mantle of Robin after Starfire’s death. Vanished for two years before returning to the hero business as Nightwing. Though he is still heavily traumatized by the deaths of his friends, he continues the fight for justice.

Raven - Sacrificed herself to stop her father at the climax of the battle. A statue and park were named in her honor in San Francisco. The league is unsure where she took her father when they disappeared in the explosion, but is speculated she trapped him in a dimension where they are the only two residents.

Beastboy - Killed by Trigon when he attempted to save a captured Terra. A memorial for Garfield stands on the remains of Titans tower, as well as in the league hall.

Terra - Though she survived the battle, the guilt over Beastboy’s death drove her over the edge. She lost herself and was not seen for months after disappearing, until re-emerging as Deathstroke’s savage apprentice.

Starfire - Died in her boyfriend Dick’s arm’s after being fatally wounded by one of Trigon’s son’s. Her sister Blackfire is now Queen of Tamaran, and has only recently heard the rumors of her sister’s death, and seeks revenge.

Speedy - Now under the guise Arsenal, roy harper lost his arm fighting to stop Trigon, though many could argue the biggest loss was of his innocence. Roy reacted different than both the other survivors, a sort of middle ground between Nightwing and Terra’s reaction, Arsenal is a vigilante now, acting outside of the law to serve his own viscous form of justice.

Civil Appearance

Powers/Skills:

Adept Martial Artist - From the time he could stand, MJ was taught by Richard Dragon in the ways of martial arts at the behest of his father. Being that he was being trained to be better than his father, he was pushed much harder, to the point of becoming one of the earth's most prodigious hand-to-hand fighters even at his young age.

Being exposed to the Tantu Totem at a very young age along with being the son of Vixen, MJ was given enhancements that could be classified into the "Bronze" at the beginning of his codename.

Brawn - MJ possesses the peak level of strength and durability that a human at his age can achieve with a lifetime of training behind them. His durability is highly resistant against blunt attacks from attacks used with nothing more than brute force. He could take a sledgehammer to his abdomen and feel only mildly pained.

Reflexes - Possesses enhanced reflexes, dexterity, and agility to almost beyond peak level and is the second most asset that makes him comparable to even some super humans. He can catch arrows, dodge bullets from most automatic weapons after they've been fired, is ambidextrous, can balance near perfectly on any object and can change directions in the air laterally.

Observance - The quality that makes him most seem like a Tiger, is his awareness and his five senses, having honed them to a level that few on earth can naturally achieve, even at times seeming supernatural.

Naturality - Has the ability to effectively understand and communicate with animals, as well as mimic their movements and even their sounds to a degree, from the Mighty Lion to the Humble Cricket.

Zealousness - MJ possesses a strong zeal in whatever it is that he does, in a way making him an extremist in his whatever he dedicates himself to doing. When he sets his mind to something, he will find a way to achieve it, despite anything anyone may tell him. It often manifests itself into bravery where he will courageously go into any situation even if it seems that all odds are against him.

Endurance - With his mentor's incredibly strict training, he has the ability to operate at a high level in the worst of conditions. He can go for two weeks without eating or drinking, fight for hours upon hours without rest, hold his breath underwater for an entire half hour, and remain conscious through most traumatic injuries, all at the same time.

Weaknesses/Limits: Despite all of his abilities, one fact remains. Bronze Tiger, is not so much a low level superhuman, but more of a top class human warrior. This would mean that he still possesses human weaknesses, such as poisons, bullets, sicknesses, eventual needs of hunger or thirst, sharp weapons, and overwhelming physical strength to name a few.

Equipment: His father's Ninjato sword with the tiger design all along the hilt of the blade.
Mentor: Richard Dragon
History: MJ was the youngest son of Mari McCabe and Ben Turner, Vixen and Bronze Tiger respectively. Before he was born, his parents heads were being bid on by assassins, the biggest name, Deathstroke.

Are the Titans required to be teens? I decided against Cassie & Donna. I have a couple of 30 years old (Hawk & Dove) I could use and if necessary turn into teens.

If you're taking the "teen" out of the "Teen Titans", then what separates it from being just another branch of the Justice League?

So, I'm glad this was brought up. They do not have to be teens. What distinguishes them from the League is all of them are still in the early stages of their hero career. So, having them be around 30 is fine, but for it to work, they weren't superheroes for most of their early life. That's not say they re powers didn't manifest at an early age. Ideally, your character has been at it for less than 5 years, as they we're not active during the events of the first titans. That is not required tho. I don't want hinder anyone's creative process, so if you have a different idea don't hesitate to throw it out there.
Tl;Dr Inexperience is what separates the Titans from the League.

Powers/Skills: Ryan is trained in multiple martial arts along with skill as an unarmed assassin. He has been trained fo ignore pain and withstand more then your average person. Gifted with limited telekinesis such as throwing or pulling small objects towards him and enhanced jumping.
Weaknesses/Limits: At the end of the day Ryan is human. Gun fire and fatel wounds will still kill him.
Equipment: Ballistic and knife resistant body armor. Smoke pellet's, flash bang grenades, wrist mounted grappling hook. A custom Sword

History: Ryan was born the eldest of the two adopted children of Aiko Tanaka, former member of the Brotherhood and the previous lead black hand. Abandoned as a child with his sister at Aiko's home. For much of his young life Ryan lived a happy childhood with a loving mother and sister. Life stayed the same until the age of 15. During the winter of his 15th year ryan would meet the brotherhood. The secretive organization had hunted down his mother for betrayal and abandonment of the brotherhood. When they were unsuccessful they went with a back up plan. While his mother delt with an attack, Ryan was taken by agents of the brotherhood. He was brainwashed, mind twisted from the warm loving child he had been. The brotherhood had once been little more then a regional gang with little interest outside of making money or fighting their rivals. Under their new overseer the brotherhood had become a global organization determined to make a new perfect world.

History: like her brother, Isabella had a good life in her youth. Even after the disappearance of her brother Isabella's life was considered okay. At a young age she had a fascination with the bow and arrow, seeing it as a connection to a more honorable time. When her brother was taken she vowed to find him.

I'm ok with you loosely basing your character on pokemon. This RP is based on DC comics rather than manga. I think if anything, draw inspiration from the pokemon you had in mind. I could be misunderstanding what you're getting at, but the characters should be human, or an Alien. Having a costume inspired by the pokemon is acceptable. For the most part, you original characters should be exactly that, Original. This is a superhero Rp and though I am a fan of pokemon as well, they really don't fit into this story. I hope that's clarifying, if not, please don't hesitate to ask questions.

Understandable. The costume is based off the Pokémon, namely the Mega Evolution, and the powers, and names, are based off of the abilities of the Pokémon, but the personality and how I utilize it are my own. He is still human, just a meta-human.
