It is said in the age of fairy tales, the power of magic was born from the hearts of star-borned children. Granted as a gift to the mortal world, magic has been associated with warriors of the light, sworn to defend the world from nightmares. These warriors of light, taken the mantle of Magical Girls, ironically wage their crusade from the shadows. Hidden from the eyes of the known world, they battle darkness wherever it may rise.

Magic, however, holds loyalty to neither good nor evil. Nay, magic is power, and power is to be used by the strong, the willing, the selfish. Such attributes flow freely in Miso City, a territory latent, even steeping in it. It is a land held by Magical Girls who have been scorned, tossed aside, and have questioned their faith in the mantra of good. Indeed, Miso City lays dark from the creatures of horrors and darker still from the ones who slay them.

Any of virtue are turned away; any who resist are given swift lessons to make them turn away. Many a fool would dare to enter Miso City’s streets in efforts to rekindle hope and friendship to its residents. But as whispers of a greater evil surface, Miso City runs rampant further and further away from the light. For in Miso City, the night comes quick and the nightmare becomes reality.

^INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Miso City. In this bright and beautiful town, players will wield the power of magic through a divine gift granted to them; the gift of the Magical Girl. But rather than stand for the virtues of all that is good, you will fight for your own gain and merit. Something has made you turn away from the light; be it a tragedy, a question of faith, or just boredom from protecting those who don’t deserve it. Whatever it may be, you fight for only yourself and the Detention Club.

Within this RP, you will battle the creatures of darkness to strengthen your own power, Nightmares who wander the streets. You will encounter those who think differently than yourselves, Magical Girls who still follow the light. And you will encounter all that Miso City has to offer, be it the strange, the mundane, and the darkness lingering inside you all. How well you delinquents get along will be up to you...but no doubt it feels satisfying to be the villain.

^SETTING

Miso City is wide and expansive, strange and all the same, mysterious. For many of the corrupted Magical Girls residing there, it has been their homes for some time. No one knows how Miso City came to be, or why it was built in the first place. And to be honest, no one really cares anyway. To the residential occupant of grand Miso City, no event is taken in shock, at least not anymore.

The city is said to possess a charm to it, along with a bad habit of weird occurrences within its borders. How much of it is to blame for magic, Nightmare, or something else is for the residents to discover. More importantly, it is home to Miso City High and, by extension, the Detention Club. A group of individuals, and more importantly, Magical Girls, who share the selfish same beliefs; the Detention Club is what connects these dark warriors together.

So long as the Club is never betrayed and never disrupted, dark Magical Girls are free to do what they please within Miso City. Be it exploring the layout and its secrets, hunting ground for Nightmares, or something more, the choice is theirs to take. Even if the nights have been suddenly getting that much darker, that much colder.

List of Legislation

• No Godmodding, Power Gaming, Metagaming, Mary Sues/Gary Stus, and or similar types of characters/behavior.

• Each player is allowed one player each for now, all of which must be Dark Magical Girls. We will allow a select few to play the opposite team; 1/3 of the total number of players we have at all times. A CS will be required for this good Magical Girls.

• There will be no specific posting order. However, wait at least two turns before posting again to let others have fun as well.

• Discussion in the OOC is nice, but if there is prolonged heated argument, take it in the PMs. Otherwise, the GMs will solve the problem. Criticism is ok but, if you want to come here to argue, please refrain from doing so. This will result in a quick and swift ban.

• RPers who "sporadically" lose interest or leave without saying anything are discouraged. I strongly suggest you either inform me or the Co-GMs of your leave of absence. If it’s an emergency, then at least tell us it is.

• Please post your Character Sheets onto the OOC for evaluation. After being accepted, you may then post them onto the Character Tab.

• Follow the Guild's rules for content/language. Take any improper material to PMs, please.

• Keep your IC posts at a minimum length of two or three paragraphs (i.e.: around 500 to 1000 characters), for each character in your post. Furthermore, try to write as well as you can.

• We take suggestions from the players into consideration with a great deal of importance. However, we are the final arbiters of any issue. Do not question our final verdict and don't test our patience.

• If you have any problems, questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to let the GMs know.

Miso City

---

Miso City is wide and expansive, strange and all the same, mysterious. For many of the corrupted Magical Girls residing there, it has been their homes for some time. The Font of Ouroboros

Miso was always a weird location, and this is likely a result of it being nestled on the bed of a half dozen leylines of mana. One such oddity within the city is the destroyed Font of Ouroboros. Located in an alcove within the city sewer, it resembles a pair of three statues with water running off them. Moss grows around the base of these statues as a result of the water. The Water used to function as a purified still of concentrated mana-water working effectively as a fountain of youth. However due to city infrastructure, the ancient system has been irreversibly damaged. So it can no longer grant eternal youth. Only increased longevity, and even then said longevity is only effective in small animals. As a result rats in Miso city are generally capable of living twice or even four times as long as the average city rat. Of course, there's no actual proof of any of this, but....

Miso City High

Nurse

Name: Nuruzumi Aizawa
Gender: Female
Appearance: Nuruzumi is a school nurse whom does her job in a uniform that is extremely well kept and hygienic. She keeps her clothes in an almost OCD like neatness, and is commonly seen adjusting her outfit. Which consists of a simple pink blouse and floral patterned bottoms.
Explanation: Nuruzumi is the school nurse for Miso High, and as such she takes great pride in her work. Always the type to make sure her tools are extensively clean and that her treatments however minor are handled with the utmost compassion and care. So even if she looks a little fidgety the average student at Miso can rest assured that they are in perfectly safe hands with her.

Headmaster

Name: Rire Kurukara
Gender: Male
Appearance: A youthful headmaster with whom dresses for success commonly found in a well dressed business attire, Considering he is the type of individual to always show off. His outfits varies day by day by the pattern on his inner shirt beneath his black waistcoat.
Explanation: Rire Kurukara, a youthful headmaster brought in to replace the old headmaster as a result of a recent PR calamity as a result of a particular missing student. He is a man that values eccentricity and thus is known to boast about his accolades as he walks through the halls, much to the chagrin of older faculty members. He seems pretty popular with parents though, which is why he was instated in order to give the school better PR.

Janitor

Name: Ryuunosuke Aizawa
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ryuunosuke is an individual that dresses for functuality over form its not uncommon to see him in a mismatched patchwork of colors of wahtever spare clothes he has. Meaning that he can be quite the eyesore to look it. It can be noted that Ryuunosuke has quite scarred skin around his hands as a result of his manual labour job as the janitor at the school. A job he has worked ceaselessly for over 15 years.
Explanation: Ryuunosuke is the school janitor and the father of the school nurse, Nuruzumi. He is a hardworking man whom never takes a day off even when he is sick. He is the unsung hero of Miso Academy, as he makes sure any mess is quietly and discreetly cleaned up with his mop.

The Detention Club

A group of individuals, and more importantly, Magical Girls, who share the selfish same beliefs; the Detention Club is what connects these dark warriors together. Hosted in Miso City High, it is the hangout spot and organization your characters are affiliated with. What passes off as mundane club activities are, in actuality, meetings and assigned dealings among the Dark Magical Girls living in Miso City. It's said the Club leader intentionally uses it for dark deeds. Two reigning rules govern the Detention Club: No killing outside of Nightmares and no exposing themselves to the world outside of Magical Girls.

Nightmares

The many and miscellaneous monsters you will encounter in your story. Nightmares are the source of grief and darkness among the world, serving as the titular enemy to all Magical Girls. While those of the light are sworn to vanquish them to protect humanity, there’s no real gain in doing so. As Dark Magical Girls, slaying Nightmares bolsters your own power, further leading you into corruption. They're said to be most active during the night, particularly when the moon is nigh.

Devil Arms

The weapon of a Dark Magical Girl, now twisted and corrupt much like their blackened souls. Magical Girls are given tools of light upon their first transformation. But as they slip further into corruption, so too do their weapons reflect their new hearts. For example, what once may be ribbons have now turned into chains, bubble guns into grenade launchers, etc.

Mascots

Creatures taken the form of cats from beyond who form pacts with Magical Girls, giving them their unique powers and serving as their guides. Lacking a face and features, they often describe themselves with cute emoticons and other symbols upon their screens. Curiously enough, Mascots don’t seem to be affected in either appearance or nature when Magical Girls become corrupted with darkness. The group of Dark Magical Girls known as the Detention Club in Miso City currently have one residing Mascot overseeing them.

• Age:15

• Emblem: A red tattoo on her back, vaguely reminiscent of a flame. Is about hand sized in the middle of her back.

• Devil Arm: Where once, Ami's sword would inspire hope in allies and fear in the Nightmares that roamed the streets, now it's hardly recognizable due to the raw taint that has covered it. The holy sword that Ami wielded before is now blackened steel with red tainted runes engraved all over.

• Magic: Ami controls Fire as her magic, she is a raging inferno intent on burning everything around her. Before, she would control the flames she used in order to do as little harm to the environment as possible. Wings of flame used for flight, a sheathe of fire around her sword to burn away the taint of the Nightmares. Now she cares not for control, she only wants to have fun in whatever way she sees fit. Her fire is blackened, raging out of control whenever she calls upon it. She burns entire streets with a sweep of her sword, uses explosive pillars of flame to leap into the air and fall upon her enemies with the force of a meteor.

• Background: Sometimes, in order for a life to begin another must end. Such was the case when Ami was born and her mother died in childbirth. Her father was left behind to raise a child by himself, which he was ill equipped for to say the least. He blamed Ami for his mother's death and could never truly love her, yet felt obligated to raise her. It was at the age of 6 that he first hit her in a drunken fit. She didn't understand why, she just assumed she was doing something wrong. Ami loved her dad more than anything in the world, he could do no wrong. As the years went by things slowly grew worse, with Ami's dad getting drunk regularly and abusing her. Sometimes it would be a day without food, others she would be locked in her room just because she looked so much like her mother.

Life did not get much better from there as Ami's father was diagnosed with lung cancer when she was 12. He was stuck in the hospital a year later, kept in a medical coma to ease the pain. It was around this time that Ami met the cat. It was a strange thing, with a tv for a head and expressing itself in emoticons and written text. She made a pact with the strange creature, in exchange for curing her father's cancer she would become a magical girl. And so the pact was sealed.

It was a miracle doctors said, the cancer didn't just go into remission, it completely disappeared. He was healthier than he had ever been as a matter of fact, in less than a week he was back home. Things were back to normal finally. But normal wasn't a good thing. Within a month Ami's father was back to the same old abuse. At the age of 14, Ami snapped. She saved his life and this was how he treated her? Well he could go to hell! The house burned down with him in it, it came out of nowhere according to the neighbors. It was assumed she also died in the fire, but nobody could find her body. One could say Ami died in the fire that day. The day her father died, The Black Knight was born.

The Black Knight Rides

The light of the flames reflected off of the windows of the cafe for but a moment, it was beautiful almost. Then the giant monster made of darkness and evil smashed through the window, moment gone. "Nobody said we were done shitstain!" Ami cried out as she thrust her sword in the direction of the Nightmare, a pillar of flame erupting forth and incinerating several wooden chairs and tables on it's path to the strange blob. It leapt out of the way, sticking to the ceiling and emerging outside within seconds. A column of flame erupted beneath Ami as she leapt upwards, melting the concrete and asphalt beneath her as she swung upward at the Nightmare's mask.

As she sheathed her blade, a merry whistle sprung forth from her lips while she stepped through the shattered window into the cafe. No cameras, no alarms going off, the place was pretty old fashioned. She hopped over the counter with little thought and wrenched open the register drawer, stuffing cash into her pockets while snagging a muffin off the display rack. Smoke was beginning to fill the air already, not that it meant much to her. She was born in fires hotter than the fires that consumed the earth in it's infancy, this meant nothing to her. Plus her own fire couldn't hurt her, which is always nice.

Once that was said and done she was on the hunt once again, leaping from building to building, leaving scorch marks in her wake every time she jumped forward. It was hardly even twelve after all, and she had only killed 4 Nightmares. She's also looking a little low on rent, she would have to find another place to rob if she wanted to keep her electricity. Tonight, the Black Knight rode once more. And she was sacking the city.

Age: 17

Emblem: She has a ring with a purple gem that serves as her emblem. Originally, she wore it on her right index finger. After her fall, she began to wear it as a necklace and is usually hidden from sight as it is often seen under her shirt.

Devil Arm: Once upon a time, the sound of the silver and gold guns popping was music to the civilian's ears. It meant safety and cover. Now, the blasting sounds coming from the singular tainted gun sounds the incoming destruction. The dual pistols have become one and a knife as the others' substitute. The knife can elongate itself to a full sword, but that is only for emergencies. The pistol shoots out dark purple balls of energy that is as destructive, if not a bit more, than a regular bullet. Though she is able to charge the pistol up so that it can release a devastating beam of energy.

Magic: Ah, how she remembered when the psychic whips she could create could merely constrict rather than harm. Now, however, it only brings destruction to anything it touches. Lightning aids these whips to destroy; the crackling of lightning and the smell of ozone always spelled danger - and hers was no different.

Background: Perhaps, it would be easier to understand how she came to be if you understood just how close she was to her twin. Alex would have done near everything, even give her life, to save her own sister. Alex knew that her sister would have done the same for her. Perhaps you would find it funnier if you also knew that the two were born rich - with a gold spoon in their mouths. They were born lucky, and they wholeheartedly accepted it.

When the chance to become a magical girl appeared to her, Alex had accepted it without question. One thing about the deal was that there was no exchange. The cat with a TV for a head had offered her anything she wanted, and she turned it down - she only wanted the power. Given her androgynous appearance and cool nature, she was hailed as the Noble Prince.

But something snapped one day, when she recieved word that her sister was killed in a mass shooting. By a human. But Alex didn't wish vengeance upon the human. What she wanted was more power. She couldn't protect her sister. She couldn't protect one of the most important people to her so she needed that kind of power. A forbidden power.

Three days after the event, she absorbed a Nightmare instead of killing it. Then it all spiraled down as she continued on without stop. It was the day everyoen realized that the only thing stopping her from obtaining more power before was her sister. And without that limitation, she went all out.

Greed was now her driving force.

Inventory: Alex carries around a picture of her entire family. She also carries around a necklace with a small knife on it. She often hangs it around a belt hoop on her right side.

The Fallen Prince of the Dark

In a town not too far away from Miso City was a Dark Magical Girl on the hunt. Taking in a deep breath, the Fallen Prince leaned back on the wrecked building. Nightmares had always been easy for her to defeat - though these were particularly small. Weak. She didn't get too much from them. And honestly, this was just her having fun by now. Going on hunts were always fun. She could hear the telltale signs of the Nightmare sneaking up on her from behind.

A smile wormed its way to her mouth as she jumped over the barrier separating her and then Nightmare. The strange black blob turned its mask upwards - tracking her. She winked at it before aiming her gun straight at its mask and pulled the trigger. A dark pruple plasma ball shot out and impacted the Nightmare. A sharp shriek echoed throughout the night as it disappeared. Okay, that makes eight. Eight out of eight, not one of them even tried to escape.

She heard footsteps approaching from the other side of the fallen building. Faster than she could think, she moved for the kill - her knife going straight for the throat of whatever poor sod dared enter her hunting space. But she stopped shy centimeters away from the intruder's neck.

"As expected from the Fallen Prince, always so greedy when it comes to hunting spaces." The girl's voice cooed. She placed two fingers against the knife but made no attempt to turn it away.

"If you wanted to form a team, Heartbreaker, you only needed to ask." Alex said with a shrug, placing her weapons into their sheathed forms. She waved her hand dismissively and then walked away.

The pink haired girl giggled. "Teamwork? Always so close to being those goody two shoes."

"Good or bad, teams make it easier." She pointed out. Alex placed a hand on Heartbreaker's shoulder. "I do love teams. But you know me better..." She then looked at the girl with expecting eyes - trying to see what she could come up with.

She placed a finger on her chin and a smirk formed on her face. "Let me guess, you don't like sharing... do you?"

"That's my girl."

Alex patted the other witch's head. She leaned in close and whispered something to her. The girl's eyes widened and a sadistic smile spread on her face. The blond leaned away and then patted her shoulder. "Good luck friend." She then walked away from the previously love-themed magical girl.

The night was young, but Alex had already finished her hunt. It was time to head back home. She began to whistle as she de-transformed from her magical girl state. It wasn't like this night was special. Sneaking back into her apartment with little to no grime at all from her entire escapade. She turned her head to the picture of her sister.

"Tomorrow is another day, isn't it, Erina?"

Other: What happened to the McVanovich family after Alex's fall is unknown - and she does not talk about it. But she is honest when she tells everyone that she did not kill them.

• Title: Twilight Knight
• Age: 14
• Devil Arm:Twilight Form - Once being a bearer of light Hikari never sought to wield arms. Her favorite wand being turned into a blade upon corruption. The blade is able to conjure a shield and armor on her person after a dazzling display of white black and silver. The shield is able to deflect bullets and the armor protects against them fairly well also. The set also protects against physically damaging magical attacks and the sword is able to hit be charged with magical energy to cut through barriers.
• Magic: Gift of light and Purity- Once a mere babe of light who only opened her eyes to greet the sun Hikari used to strictly help others with her magic. Healing and purifying was her gift. Able to remove the negative emotions in people and their very toxins by simply hugging them and embracing the light in their heart however deep inside.
Twilight Gift Magic of Night - Her purity now corrupted with a streak of black she has stepped into the darkness as a being of light awakening the Twilight within her. She now commands light and darkness however her darkness has greyed her light making her magic more focused on harming rather than helping.
• She can produce a dazzling light that she calls Twilight onto her sword and unleash waves of magical energy that can cut through steel. It also increases the sharpness of her blade, coating it in a magical energy.
• She can selfishly heal herself after taking what purity is inside someone else. Their purity can be regained after a day or so.
• She can fill someone with her own negative feelings by touching them.
• Able to split herself in two, her dark half and light half. The light half does nothing but heal. The dark half is aggressive and berserk. If either one is defeated they merge back together.
• Background: Once her naive nature was shown the blood of a fallen friend she fell into despair. Having never witnessed death before she was broken by it and had to withstand the agony of losing her gift. She was visited by people on a regular basis to see her gifts heal their minds and body. But a group of armed men chose to kidnap her and hold her for ransom. Within the scuffle to get a hold of her a friend of hers died. In that moment she wanted those men dead and such a primal urge was foreign to her.

Sickened by the horrors of the world her purity was corrupted and her healing wand was turned into a death dealing blade. Donning the armor she was able to slay the would be suspects. Staining herself with red and never returning to the old ways of her happy joyful life. Not without her only friend in the world dead, her old brother who protected her and was her only care giver.
• Inventory: A flute she plays. She usually plays it alone usually at night under a full moon, perched somewhere high up.
• Sample Post:A young girl sat at the park beneath the fading light of the sunset. She was nearly translucent with all her white on. Long flowing silver hair, a white top and shorts and black shoes were all she had on. Her attire danced on her petite pale body as she sat with down cast eyes. A sheathed blade in her arms and tears flowing onto its surface. It was a reminder to her of her loss and her pain. But worst of all it was all she had left.

She continued to sit. In a time lapse she would not have moved. Yet the light faded away until there was nothing but street lights left. She looked up to see the moths dancing around the light. Behind the light emerged a greater darkness she did not notice. She merely peered into the light itself as if entranced like the moths by its luminescence. She blinked. A few vibrations causing her tears to stir and fall on her lap. The cold sensation waking her.

She looked over behind the light to see a nightmare crawling into a massive form not only behind the light but behind several trees. A low growl of hunger met her ears from this creature. Her eyes widened before she gripped her sheathed weapon tightly. Suddenly she began to give off a feint glow that was enveloped in darkness with holes of lights swirling around the surface like a galaxy. Unsheathing her sword a flash of light and a whirl of darkness to suppress it gave way to her armored form, shield and all.

"Destroy..." She spoke softly with a sorrowful expression. Her blade glistened with particles of sparkling light on its blackened surface before she waved it at the creature's white mask which peered at her, the rest of its forms bubbling up to engulf her. The sky darkening as it did so. She turned after doing a single swipe of her blade. The sparkling twilight that was on the blade went flying outward like expelled water in a curved stream that went through the creature and its mask. The twilight dissipated in the nights sky returning a shallow display of light to the sky around her.

She sheathed the blade and the nightmare's mask cut in two pieces as well as its form. It shrieked and writhed before collapsing into vanishing goo in the parks darkest corners. "I live only to destroy now.. This is my fate." Her armor vanished in a flash of light that was enveloped in darkness until it was no more. The small girl held onto her sheathed weapon tightly. Tears still streaming down her face as she laid on the bench in the park and slept...
