Nikolai "Demo" Markov & Nathan Caldwell

Location: Avalon

Interactions: Each other, Drake Edwards @Marrok, Cleo @Damo021, Aya@c3p-0h

Mention: The Monster @Almalthia

If Nik could physically explode, he would have in that moment. His fingers seemed to crackle with red energy as his eyes darted towards his roommate. He seemed to stand still for a few moments, his mind trying to process the blind rage that was fueling him. Una... with a vampire? How did she...? Where is she? I'm going to k-

Nathan, similarly, was seething. The blood weapon in his hand seemed to grow larger and more jagged. His rage was more tame, but he too was angry. He already had Nik to worry about... now some random stranger had taken Una from right under his nose. He was going to have to have a long talk with Una after this. She got out of hand tonight, and these were the consequences. She never should have come here.

Nik's questions seemed to have an answer with Aya's arrival. His hands still crackled with raw power as he rushed forward, hopping over the railing on the side of the dance floor. The crackling energy seemed to arc towards the surface, lighting up as most things Demo activated with his power. His feet rested against the small metal frame, and it detonated after but a moment. Nik went sailing over the dance floor and towards Aya, ducking into a sloppy roll that ended with him sliding a little on his butt directly in front of his fellow classmate. He didn't seem to acknowledge the pain or embarassment of the situation as his eyes intently glared towards Aya. "We're going to find her. NOW!"

Uná’s head spun and her mouth felt like somebody had made her eat cotton. Like cotton balls used for dabbing cuts with; same balls that children used to glue to paper to make lambs or snow. “Oh I’m never drinking again.” She sighs and wiggles in the chair she was put in. There is no pounding pulse from music. As she looks around it is obvious that she is no longer in the club. Oh I’m in trouble.

Flashbacks of the club and a definite edge of reality after her make out session with Frost. NEVER drinking again!! NEVER!!! Her head spun and she saw the backs of two men dressed in dark identical outfits.

She blinked and quietly rolled out her chair. Pushing past a half wall that seemed to have fogged her powers from her she felt the beginnings of a massive headache. This is really going to hurt…

Uná had put the guards under rather quickly. Not having the option of leaving the room is something she wasn’t comfortable with and she made it known. She snuck down the stairs and again tried to cloak herself in illusions.

Nothing. So she’d have to do this the old fashioned way. Looking around she kept to the shadows. She wanted out the door but the light would give her movement away. She picked up a little pebble and tossed it behind the group, which included Frost and a couple of goons.

I don’t give a shit what they’re doing, get them here now. ALL OF THEM! Those freaks are coming and we might as well be going up against them with pea shooters!” The veins in Lex’s neck protruded as he yelled at one of his subordinates, demanding more reinforcements. “And if you ever-

CLANK

Lex stopped short to look toward the direction of the sound. His men instinctively drew their weapons and pointed toward the source of the noise, but there was nothing to be seen. It was Lex who first turned his head the opposite way, looking first to the windowed office above. He could see no one looming over the glass. He had multiple guards assigned to that room and not a single one could be seen from his vantage point. His eyes slowly rolled down to ground level.

Red,” he called out in that general direction, concern in his voice. “Sweetheart, are you alright?

Uná froze just as she was about to bolt for the door. Oh damn… do I run anyway? How long till the guards upstairs wake up? Uná blushed at the endearment. And since when am I a ‘sweetheart’? I did make out with the guy… No I like Nikola.

Uná searched the floor for another pebble and tossed it again a bit farther this time. This time she thought she could out run him.

CLANK

Again, the armed men in suits scurried to find the noise and train their weapons on it. Lex, however, was unmoving. He couldn’t exactly pinpoint her location, but he knew she was out here within earshot. He also knew what she was trying to do. He hesitated a moment, thinking upon his next words carefully.

You want to leave,” he called out loudly, making sure he could be heard no matter where she was hiding. “You woke up in a strange place with scary men with guns and you’re frightened. I get it.” He looked to all of his men and started flapping his arms like a bird, a commanding gesture. “Everyone, put the guns down, now!” No one hesitated. Lex’s word was law in this place.

Red, if you want to leave, you can go, I just don’t want you to go alone. I don’t know how much you remember, but there’s this thing out there that’s coming for you. Several of my men sacrificed their lives to make sure I could get you out of there safely. If you look at yourself, you’ll notice you don’t have a scratch on you. My men can’t say the same thing. You are safe here, with me. I only brought you to this place because it’s the most fortified one I could think of.” Lex audibly sighed, as if defeated. “You can come out. No one is going to hurt you. Not while I’m around.

Uná squeezed her eyes shut during Frost’s speech but she knew he was right. She hated that people died for her. She vaguely remembered something terrifying had screamed her name. Mostly she remembered Aya and how she had helped her to get free of that prison in her own mind. Uná thought about how she was safe. Plus wasn’t he offering to keep her safe?

Uná stood up and swayed a little. She moved into the light which blinded her and she blocked the light with her hand. “Where am I Frost?”

Lex’s eyes fell to hers and a small smile grew upon his face as he slowly took steps toward her, being sure to put his hands in his pockets as he advanced, lest she think he was out to make a quick move. “You’re in a club called Nocturne, not too far from where we were,” he began to explain, taking each step very slowly. “My family owns it. It’s sort of a satellite base of operations for us.” He looked around the place as if seeing it for the first time, trying to empathize with her first impressions of her surroundings. “Honestly, it’s not the type of club I’d be caught dead in, usually, but business is business.” He smirked and took another slow step forward.

He found himself just within arms reach of her before he stopped. His face then fell serious, the smile disappearing, but his hands remained in his pockets. “Now I’ve got to explain some hard truths to you and I need you to be a little open minded as I do so. Can you trust me?” He pulled out one hand and extended it to her, waiting with anticipation.

Uná kept eye contact with him as he explained were she was. He was advancing on her and that made her nervous as evidenced by her stance, but it was slow as if approaching a skittish horse or a deer. Her heart picked up speed as he held out a hand asking her to trust him. Asking her to be open minded.

She licked her lips and bit her lip and sighed. She straightened and put her hand in his. Surely he couldn’t be all that bad. Wait… how did he know that was after me? Her eyes widen and her hand twitches as if she was about to snatch it back but she left it there in his. “Okay. I can try…”

Lex gripped her hand gently and gave a very light tug, encouraging her closer. “Let's go up to the office,” he suggested as he took the lead. “I’m sure you’ve got plenty of questions and I definitely have some of my own but, frankly, we don’t have a lot of time.” Lex got to the steps and released her hand, hoping she would still follow him as he ascended. “On the way here, my mind was infiltrated by a mutant,” he stated between steps, eventually making his way to the door of the office, opening it up and beholding the unconscious guards on the ground. He paused a moment to take in the sight before looking back toward Uná with a raised eyebrow and a sly grin. “Impressive.

Anyway,” he continued, holding the door open and ushering her inside. “This mind raping mutant went on and on about revolution, using ridiculous prose that all amounted to one thing. It was a call to arms. A request for violence with a single individual being the judge and jury for said actions.” He made his way behind his desk and pulled out two glasses and a bottle of scotch before taking a seat in his chair and gesturing for her to take a seat across the desk as well. “What do you call a person like that?

Uná walked up the steps cautiously and silently. She flushes as he says that what she did was impressive and she moved around him into the office. As he sat down she did as well. She sat as if it were a throne claiming the seat as she tilted her head. “Surely you know Frost that I’d think the person was a lunatic and setting themselves up for failure. You can’t take on a more than 90% world of non-mutants and expect to win. Cohabitation would be better. Eventually everyone will be the same again.”

Uná played with her hair absently leaning her elbows on the desk. “What has that got to do with me?”

"I absolutely agree," Lex nodded as he poured the scotch into the glasses, sliding one to Una first before filling his own. "But how about the principle of the matter? I mean, the man's rounding mutants up with plans to point them like a gun, forcing his will on the world through fear and intimidation. A terrorist, wouldn't you agree?" He lifted his filled glass and raised it slightly. "Cheers, by the way."

Uná absently drank the scotch humming as it made a nice sweet burn all the way to her stomach. “More’s the shame to those that want to follow him. Blind as children. Again we agree. So...there is a point to this I’m sure.”

Uná took a healthy gulp of the liquid and leaned back in the chair as she pulled up her legs and draped them over the arm of the chair. Tilting her head back she swallowed and smiled at the ceiling then looked at Frost with hooded eyes still smiling. She cradled the scotch glass and ran a finger around the rim then dipped her finger in the scotch and sucked it clean.

"Precisely!" The word slithered out of Lex's mouth with a grin that took over the entire lower half of his face. "You continue to amaze me," he declared as he took a sip of his drink. "My job is not a fun one, but necessary nonetheless. I am a keeper of the peace, if you will. Men like that are dangerous. They infect their followers, convince them that their cause is righteous. This particular mutant seems to have telepathic abilities to aid in that endeavor. Others might have to impose their will through other means. Perhaps seclusion, reinforced brainwashing, creating ties and bonds between individuals to simulate a family, making it harder to escape and harder still to even want to. That's how cults work.

Lex set his glass down and looked at Una for a moment, as if trying to read her body before he spoke next. “What can you tell me about Adam Ashford?

Uná looked perplexed. “Adam? Ashford? The only Ashford I know is the dean of m-a private school. He might have a son I don’t recall.” She was a little discombobulated with the swift change in subject. She dipped her finger in and sucked it clean again. “What are you getting at Frost?”

My assignment, in this particular case, was to try and bring down a terrorist using gifted teenagers such as yourself as a weapon. This Ashford. He takes in wayward young people, misfits of society and trains them to hone their extraordinary abilities to execute his will. He will try and convince you that it’s justice, but it’s simply a matter of who he feels is an affront to him and how willing he is to use his misguided pupils to attack them.” He paused for a moment, continuing to look Uná over, gauging any reactions she might be projecting.

I don’t want harm to come to people like you. Wonderful people. I think my actions speak louder than my words. Here you are, narrowly escaping a situation that could have been disastrous and grim because I demanded your safety.” He brought his glass to his lips once more, taking an extended gulp, finishing his drink and setting it back. “My concern is that your… peers… will be resistant to seeing the truth of their situation. Yours as well. They’ve been fed an objective, incessantly told that it’s for the greater good and yet here you are, seemingly unaware that the puppetmaster exists. I know you’re a student of the Ashford Institute and I will never hold that against you.” Lex leaned forward on his desk, locking eyes with his counterpart. “Red, I want to save you. I want to help you and anyone you think isn’t too far gone in their false ideals. But I can’t do it without you.

Uná downed the last of the scotch and tried to stand. Tried. She swung her legs down from the arm of the chair and attempted to stand after several tries she was able to get her legs under her but she was leaning over the desk and still swaying. Uná rubbed her face aghast that he could think that they were going to be attacking people. “I can understand that point of view from the outside but we are our own people. It’s not fair to lump me in with everyone who made a bad impression on you or whomever your getting your information from. They are wrong. We are learning to control our powers and be able to help others…”

Uná swayed and put her hand to her head. Wait. Was Frost right? “Why do you need me? I’m nobody. Just a… alumni. You can’t possibly think that…” Uná opened her eyes and shook her head. “What were we talking about? Ashford? And attacking people… no that monster...”

Lex looked a her with furrowed eyebrows. He wasn’t entirely sure what, but something was wrong. “You’ve been through a lot,” he began. “I need you for exactly the reason that you said before… I’m on the outside. You could help me save the most amount of people from within, help me correct Ashford’s corruption of young minds.” He studied her as she seemed out of sorts. “I suppose time will tell. I’ve not ever harbored intent to harm your friends. I’m curious if they will be able to say the same.” Lex stood up and moved around the desk to the other empty chair that was adjacent to Uná’s. “Are you alright? I won’t lie to you, Red, the monster is probably coming, but I swear to you that I will be in it’s way. As long as I breathe, you’re going to be fine. Do you believe me?

Uná laughed and moved over to stand in front of Lex. “That monster is probably gone. Life like illusions are pretty fantastic and something I can do. So that monster is me. Funny that I believe you that I’ll be fine. Illusions are great. I can be up here talking to you or I could actually be downstairs dispatching your goons.” She leaned over and trailed a fingertip over his jaw. “I think I know your weakness Frost.” She whispered and smiled as if to say ‘ask me’.

Lex looked at her, cocking his head at a shallow angle. “I didn’t think I had one until tonight and I still don’t know her name.

Uná smiled and tapped his lips. “Names are intimate. We also don’t know each other’s favorite color, movie, song or if we like dogs or cats. Lots of things we don’t know about each other. But I know one thing… you have a weakness and I know it…” Uná stepped back quickly. “Oh hell…”

Lex’s interest was piqued, but there was a layer of suspicion that he wore as he made his request. “Please. Enlighten me.

Uná backed up a bit more. She smiled way to brightly. “About what?”

Lex’s eyes started to squint, confusion beginning to take over as he tried to process the situation he was in. “My we… Red, are you with me right now?” Something wasn’t right. Her behavior was shifting and her focus was barely existent. He stood up from his chair and took a step away from it, allowing for some room. “Are you alright?

Uná was drunk that much she knew. But her focus was still able to pick up on the fact that he was actually being truthful. They didn’t know each other’s names and she was his weakness. He’d said as much. As soon as he realized what he’d said he wasn’t going to let her leave. At least that’s what she’d do. “Uná.” She said it automatically. “Oh yeah I’m fine…” She rubbed her temples and for a moment forgot that she was trying to get out the door and possibly make a run for it. After all if she was his weakness then if she kept herself a hostage without really being a hostage maybe he’d behave?

I hope so,” he said as he walked over to her, reaching back behind himself. A moment later, he hand came back around again holding a chrome plated gun. With his hand around it’s nozzle, he handed it toward Uná, offering it up. “Uná… I’m - No, I’m sorry, you’re always going to be my Red. Take this.” he said, extending it further. “It’s going to take a lot to bring me down, but if it happens, you need to have something to protect yourself.” He reached forward and pulled out her hand, placing the weapon within it. Not wasting a moment, he moved like liquid behind her, his hand clasped around hers, causing her to grip the handle. With his index finger, he moved hers into the correct position over the trigger, aiming the weapon toward the glass windows of the office.

You always hear the term ‘Pull the trigger’, but the trick is to actually squeeze,” he said softly, his lips within an inch of her ear as he helped her aim. “Line the sight, squeeze twice.” He squeezed her hand within his, but the gun didn’t fire. He slowly stepped away, leaving the weapon in her possession while he pulled out its twin. As his finger toggled the safety, he made sure she saw the maneuver before reseating the gun into the back of his pants.

Lex glanced at the clock up on the wall before letting his eyes fall to Uná once more. “You’re with me, aren’t you?

Uná looked at the gun in her hand like it was a snake and going to bite her. “I… I can’t take this. It’s probably registered to you. If I used it, it would be traced back to you. Besides I don’t want to have a chance to use it, or think about using it. I won’t need it.”

Her stubbornness was showing as she put the gun gently down on the desk. She looked at Lex her expression mulish and the spark of temper like blue fire rising in her eyes.

Lex studied her once more before he forced his face to soften. He took the gun from the desk and placed it where he retrieved it from. “I won’t make you do anything you don’t want to do, but I am concerned for your safety. It’s about to get… exciting.” They weren’t that far away from the Avalon. It was only a matter of time before Nocturne’s doors bursted open. He looked to her one more time. She had the chance to shoot him and she didn’t. She had the chance to escape and she wouldn’t. Lex had his trust issues, but he laid out every opportunity for her to cross him and there they stood. “Are you ready?

Uná shook her head at Lex. “I’m telling you there is no reason to worry. Don’t trust me, Frost? So it would be here by now. How about them apples? What you gonna do? You can just call me a cab. I’ll be fine.” She smiled up at him.

Lex’s face was a mix of admiration and disappointment. He began to run the possible scenarios through his head, weighing the pros and cons of his potential decisions. If he sent her away the mutants, the creature, all of it goes trailing after her, leaving him with just the local authorities to deal with for the incident at the club. Authorities that were already in the family pocket. But, at the same time, he loses any edge he had in completing his task, allowing her to go back to a fortified institution surrounded by powerful mutants. She was here now. Why set himself up for failure?

I’d never make you take a cab,” he said finally. “I’ve got cars and I’ve got drivers. If you’d like to go, they can take you wherever you wish.

Uná looked at Lex, really looked at him. She suddenly looked sober. Very sober. “You’d be stupid to let me go. If you did I could be used against you. Let’s not play this game anymore. I don’t think you’re stupid, quite the contrary. So what is the real deal?”

The ‘real deal’ is that we’re running out of time. In mere moments you’ll find yourself faced with a predicament. Slay the savior or push back the lemmings.” His eyes shifted to the clock again. It was late, or early, depending on how you wanted to look at it. Sunrise would be here in the time it took to watch a movie. With it brought vulnerability, at least for Lex. He leered back at Uná, struggling to keep his metaphorical mask on straight, the stresses of the situation causing his adrenaline to kick in. “Are you prepared to kill me or…” his voice trailed as he looked at her, his eyes glistening. “...or are you ready for us both to cut our strings, to denounce our fate as puppets?” He let the silence permeate for a moment before saying, “Red, I could give you the world.

Uná was stunned by that comment. “You don't know me well enough to say that. You're going all Kylo Ren on me. I don't know if black is white or up is down when you talk.” She ran a hand through her hair tugging the tangles through with a vengeance. “My love life is just starting to… never mind. Look… this isn't normal for me. I don't know what to say, other than you don't know me and I don't know you. Isn't this a bit too soon?”

Uná looked at Lex trying to get across that this wasn't a rejection but a situation that she wasn't familiar with.

Lex’s fist began to clench, but he was careful to hide the reaction behind himself. “It is,” he agreed aloud. “And it’s unfair of me to put this sort of thing on you, given what you’ve been through tonight. You deserve to rest and for things to be easy and for happiness to flow in excess.” He paused for a moment. “What I warn you of is an impending choice. Soon, you’ll have to drink the kool-aid or decide that your choices are your own to make. That you’re not afraid to step into unknown territory. That your willing to trust in fate, a cosmic force that saw fit to bring us together.” Lex sighed for a moment, theatrically. “You don’t have to decide right this second, but the decision is coming, whether you make it yourself or your misguided peers make it for you. I just want you to be prepared.

Uná raised an eyebrow sardonically. “Kool-aid? Really you make it sound like a cult. Which it isn’t, by the way. But you couldn’t know that unless you attended the school. Ever think that enrolling would be the best way to see if Ashford really is as fanaticall as you think? What is it you do anyway? And why me? I’m not close to any of the staff. More often than not I’m being yelled at to quit horsing around from across campus. Repeatedly yelled at. I don’t think that qualifies since some of the stunts are pretty extreme and it’s all about safety. And I’m rambling…”

Uná tilted her head at Lex. “All this cause of a dance?” She looked truly lost. She looked like she had no idea why he thought she was special. He’d put her on the spot, made her feel like defending herself and those she trusted. Should she though? She shook her head and her eyes blazed blue fire. “Why?! Why me?”

Uná advanced on him clearly pissed about how she felt he could possibly be right and there was someone right there on hand to take the brunt of her temper. Call it the drink talking but she was pissed at his high handed assumption that he could make it all right in her world. “You need to explain yourself cause you’re looking at one pissed redhead and me getting the silent treatment will turn around and bite you. You could have any female you laid your eyes on and you chose me. Well it’s starting to sound like you knew who I was and where I was from before you started talking to me? Are you just feeding me lines that you think some young naive girl wants to hear so you can drop me on my ass later when you get bored?” She poked him in the chest. “Just because I kissed you doesn’t mean you own me. Besides maybe I was practicing.”

He’d hurt her pride with his questioning. She didn’t like to be compared to a sheep or being blind. She considered herself pretty knowledgeable and a good judge of character.

First of all,” he said out loud. I don’t need to explain shit to anyone. I’m not joining some bullshit kumbaya school of misfits, and you cannot even imagine the depths of mY aNgEr!. Lex forced himself to pause for a moment while the thoughts played out in his mind before forcing his composure to resurface. “First of all, I told you what I do. I make sure things run smoothly. Keep the peace. And why you? You were gorgeous, seemed like you were alone. Then you were in danger. I fixed that. I made sure you got out of there smoothly and here you are at peace, unscathed.

Lex glanced out the office windows at the floor below, ever monitoring the situation for the inevitable arrival or someone or something. “Maybe you were just practicing.” He said, repeating her words without looking back at her. “Then I suppose it should be me that’s offended. You used me.

Uná lept at him pissed as a little hellcat. Her temper blew through her and made her see red. She hated being placated and pair that with an insult and she had more than enough. She kicked and punched in a flurry not caring where she landed blows or if she did.

Lex stood there, taking on the onslaught of barrages for a moment. His patience was wearing thin and his skin was getting hot. He was getting frustrated trying to do this the diplomatic way. As her fists pounded down ineffectively on his chest, he began to tremble just for a moment as he considered dismissing any attempts to remain composed. As he clenched his teeth, his pale eyes met hers and suddenly the man was gone. All that remained was the beast.

WIth one hand, he seized Uná’s throat and brought her in close, leaning down a bit so that he met here eye level. In a graveled whisper, he said “Stop.

Uná was too far gone to really control herself at this point. There was a dim realization that she had a hand on her neck and that she wasn’t getting as much air as she should be but her temper was calling the shots. That temper was if anything self destructive.

Locking eyes with Lex Uná reached out and slapped him across the face. Hard. If she couldn’t get a punch or a kick to make her point clear then a slap would have to do. Stop was a foreign concept. She wasn’t done yet. Something in her snapped. This time it got real.

Lex opened his mouth to say something, his eyes wild, but just as he did, there was a commotion outside that caught his attention.

Heidi Williams

Location: Nocturne.
Interacting With: Ayel @Dezuel,

So they agreed on something after all. Though the means were almost exact opposites, their goal was the same, and they both believed it was not just a dream but something tangible that could be achieved. This just renewed her desire to try to get him to enrol in the Ashford Institute. Despite his twisted morality and his god complex, he did genuinely care about mutantkind. There was potential for good in him. Heidi wordlessly took his arm and the two of them floated down to the ground. Despite the danger that she was about to face, Heidi was calm. Even the hardest and most professional of mercenaries would hesitate and shooting a small unarmed fifteen year old girl, and even a single second of hesitation would be all Heidi would need. The danger of death was unlikely, but it was possible. She would take due care at all times.

The first decision was already among the pair. Did they break open the front door of the club, or sneak around the back and get in another way? Well, the front was likely guarded, as was probably the back, and the loading docks. But all clubs needed to comply with fire safety legalisation, and that meant that this building almost definitely had a fire escape. Nobody thinks to guard stairwell windows the same way they'd guard formal entrances. Heidi contemplated clearing a path to the front door so that when the classmates arrived, they would face no resistance, but the priority was Uná. Besides, the classmates all had far more danger room training that she had. They were no less equipped to deal with any threat than she was, at all.

Heidi gestured for Ayel to follow, as she skirted around the building until she found the fire escape, then she turned to him. "First of all, I won't be able to hear anybody behind us, so keep an eye out behind me. Second, we'll enter the club through one of the windows on this fire escape. There most likely won't be anybody waiting for us inside on the stairwell. Once we're in, I'll search down, you search up. That way, if our classmates arrive, I'll be in a better position to brief them. How does that plan sound?"

Heidi was quick to gesture to him to follow her, such an initiative for one so young, he imagined she already had seen something which had eluded his detection. This was very much the case, she had laid her eyes on the fire escape of the building. Normally Ayel would have considered going in through the ceiling itself, breaking it in. Though in this particular case, there was a captive somewhere in the building, so he couldn't go about that path with the risk of harming a fellow mutant. Ayel nodded softly as he listened to Heidi's entry plan.

Won't be able to hear? Does her concentration render her hearing null or is she by default deaf perhaps?

"Very well, I shall make certain nothing will leave by the stairs down. Your plan is good, they will likely not expect this entrance to be the main one, mostly due to young peoples eagerness and common inability to contain themselves long enough to think on just how to proceed..."

He held out his arm again to Heidi before he began to levitate up towards the fire escape window, looking it over briefly before slamming his leather gloved fist into the side of the glass, to give a big enough hole to reach in to unlock the window. Which he did. If any of those inside would be able to hear abit of glass breaking, then it would save him the trouble of finding them, if they would come running straight into his arms. The blonde raised the window up and then slid inside, standing guard for a brief moment while waiting for Heidi to get inside aswell, before he finally began to hover again, making his way up the stairs. Giving Heidi one last glance followed with a slight upturn at the corner of his mouth.

Once he came up to the second floor, he was met with a corridor, with a few doors and another few corridors arching from it. It was at such a crossing where he encountered the first of the guards on watch, he could hear the man's footsteps coming closer, the polished black shoes clicking against the ground. When the man finally reached the crossing of the corridor, he turned to his right and went over to look through one of the second floor windows. The blonde man sprung into action, he floated forwards, his boots just a few feet from the ground. The man by the window seemed at ease at not seeing anything outside and turned around, that's when he came face to face with the blonde who stood within his personal space and stared right into his eyes.

"Your flight has arrived." The blonde said in a hushed manner, a finger before his lips, then Ayel used his telekinetic thrusting power to hurl the man straight out of the glass window and back first unto a nearby parked black car's roof. Ayel glanced out of the window for a moment at the devastation, before turning around to walk towards the corridor the man came from, which at this point was getting more crowded. A door flung open close to Ayel, the dark clothed blonde man didn't waste time so he used his telekinetic thrust yet again, tearing the door from it's hinges, and the man just midway out of the room was hurled along the corridor with the door, slamming into another man further down the long corridor.

These humans would pay dearly for kidnapping one of his kind. He levitated forwards abit further, and out of the room whose door he had sent flying came a bald muscular man who had his gun drawn. Ayel flung the gun out of the man's hand, but was grabbed by the arms and shoulders and slammed into the wall, the bald man reached for a kabar knife at his belt which he gripped into his right hand, Ayel took up both his arms in defense and tried to hold back the more physically strong man whom was pressing against him with the knife, aimed for his neck. It was getting closer and closer, the bald man gritting his teeth.

Ayel gritted his teeth aswell and narrowed his eyes, focusing on the knife before telekinetically pushing it up towards the man, it slipped out of the man's strong grip and the pommel of the knife hit the man's throat and he appeared to have trouble breathing.

"Drawing breath is more important than drawing weapons or blood." Ayel decided to solve the man's troublesome dilemma by adding a gloved punch to said throat. The man's body slipped to the floor and Ayel began to walk forwards towards the two men just pushing the door off themselves. They held unto their pistols, raising them up and at the sight of this the blonde manifested his telekinetic barrier around himself. The bullets slamming into it before being deflected to the walls and floor, the men ran out of bullets soon and reached for their spare magazines.

Another door flung open and a man with a shotgun came running and targetted Ayel with it, squeezing the trigger and the shrapnel deflected from the barrier right back at the man, most of which ended up in his own legs causing him to fall over and roll on his back. Ayel levitated forwards landing on the floor, removing his barrier briefly to stomp down with his right black boot on the man's neck, the cracking sound becoming the wounded man's melody of freedom. The blonde young man quickly reactivated his barrier as the other men was now getting ready to fire again. "You fools... don't you know that mind triumph over matter? ...and you do not even matter at all." The mutant lifted himself slightly from the ground again, hovering slightly above the ground before propelling himself forwards, slamming into both of the men as their firing intensified. Both men were pressed against the nearby wall, the impact and pressure causing them to pass out.

The blonde young man took a few deep inhales as he deactivated his barrier, then he bent down to pick up one of the men's pistol, setting aim on the two downed men, before squeezing the trigger. A few shots being fired. There was no doubt nor hesitation, it had to be done. Heidi was downstairs and he couldn't afford any of these humans to slip past him and sneak up on her. Your continued existance will not be forgiven. You will never harm any of my kin ever again. He casually threw away the gun to the side, as it's ammunition was depleted and he didn't want to stain his hands longer than he had to with a human weapon.

Death by their own weapon, a fitting end for them. He thought to himself.

Taking a few breaths to collect himself and gather his focus, he proceeded to traverse the second floor, telekinetically hurling doors off their hinges to get a look inside of the room with his telekinetic barrier raised long enough to confirm the rooms were indeed clear. Making sure no human would be left alive, aswell as keeping a look over his shoulder. Not knowing if Heidi could prevent those on the first floor from getting up to the second.

Then until he finally was before what seemed to be an office of some kind, he did the same as he had done to the previous doors, he hurled it off it's hinges and then with a raised barrier, made his presence known to whomever was in the room.

"I've come for the girl Una, her friends want her back. Release her or I shall release you from your wretched excuse of a vessel. Either you step down, or I will put you down..." Ayel said in a serious tone of voice, his gaze fierce and his right hand gesturing just how someone would quench a handheld flame.

Sluagh

Location: Avalon

Interactions: Nathan; Nik @webboysurf; Drake @Marrok; Cleo @Damo021 & Aya[@c3p-oh]

The sluagh turned to Aya and grinned maliciously. It didn’t look like it was too badly hurt as it stalked across the floor to Aya. Tossing chairs and tables out of the way as if it was all just styrofoam props on movie set. The look in its eyes was the look of a sentient creature that was on a mission. It’s gray skin rippled and shone like an oil slick. The grin full of sharp teeth eyes that were intent on Aya as it moved across the club far faster than should have been possible.

Tell me where you heard that word and where she is and you might live a bit longer, little one.” The voice was deep and gravely like a landslide roar. It inhaled and licked it’s lips as if it smelled something delicious.

Aya had never felt so small in her life. Not when her mother left, or her father died, or Kainoa --

The Sluagh loomed over her, all scythe-teeth and wicked-eyed. Aya was small. Fragile. Weak. She didn't belong here -- not among mutants and monsters. The ruined wreck of the club was all around her, evidence of a fight that she had no right to be a part of. She was shaking. She couldn't stop shaking. She couldn't move. She could only stare up at the Sluagh as it eyed her like a snake would a mouse.

Its voice wrapped around her, stopping her breath, squeezing her throat.

She had to think. She had to... but her mind was frozen with fear, the after effects of the last time she'd used her powers still weighing her down like lead. Her mind still ached, her body still didn't fit right. Her power --

Her power. This monster... it wasn't one of Uná's normal illusions, not really. She'd been talking about... about a fairy court or something. Maybe if... And even if it was an illusion it still might work, right? If not... she was going to die. Aya was going to die here, in this ruined club murdered by a monster. She...

Maybe she deserved it. Aya forced herself to stagger forward a step.

"N..." Her voice came out tiny and broken. Aya swallowed around the cold lump of fear in her throat. "Nocturne," she managed to whisper. She glanced at Nik to be sure that he'd heard her. But she didn't dare look away from the Slaugh for more than half a stuttered heartbeat. Another step forward. Her legs touched against Drake's back, where he was kneeled between her and a table he'd hoped to use as a shield. They hadn't spoken much. Not since the library when she'd come face to face with another monster. But she missed him and his easy friendship. She hadn't realized quite how much until now. Her legs pressed against his back, the cloth of his shirt acting as a barrier between them. The ability to touch someone else, to lean against them, seemed like something rare and precious.

The Sluagh towered above them, smiling down. "I'll show you." Then Aya's trembling hand reached out to touch the Sluagh's grey arm. The moment she made contact, Aya activated her power, hoping to rip the Sluagh from the mortal plane.

~ Morning/Evening my lovelies... This is your lovely narrator speaking...

As a side note I'd like to mention that the Sluagh disappears as Aya activates her power. Aya collapses on the floor. That is all...for now insert evil laughter here...

Drake went to reach, went to grab for Aya's hand to push it out of the way, but his reaction was too slow. Before fingers could make it to her arm, she had touched the creature. In an instant, the situation had changed completely. The beast was gone and Aya collapsed. Drake dropped the table and all of the fires immediately extinguished as he moved himself to Aya, looking down upon her with concern and confusion.

"What happened," he asked, his voice small and likely out of everyone's earshot. She appeared to be breathing. That much was good. He finally forced himself to look up, his eyes settling on Nik. "What the fuck happened?!" He shouted, his voice a little more manic now. He glanced at Cleo as if she might have the answer he sought, but it was not forthcoming. His adrenaline was climbing again, moving the see-saw of intoxication in the opposite direction. His mostly red eyes glimmered, flashing the rage being caged behind the windows to his soul. He looked back down to Aya and carefully picked her up, letting his hands turtle into his long sleeves to avoid direct contact. He knew the risks firsthand.

"Nocturne," he said sternly, repeating the name Aya had uttered before the incident. His mind was still foggy, but Aya put herself in harm's way to buy them an opening, to point them in the right direction. Drake aimed to make sure that wasn't in vain. I'll scorch them all, he thought, his temper beginning to take over. There will be a boiling trail of blood in my wake. He began walking toward one of Avalon's exits. "Who's got wheels?"

Jasper wasn’t entirely sure what happened, and had to flick back through the security footage just to figure out that ‘Aya’ had tricked the monster and used her power on it. What happened to her though was entirely a mystery for the girl who only knew computers. Ocean-coloured eyes glowed dully, the light fading as she turned her attention back to the pyrokinetic as he shouted at another boy she vaguely recognized. She’d had to brush up on who these people were later tonight it seemed.

“Oh hey. I got one of those.”

She practically jumped from excitement. Should she be afraid of the man radiating heat? Probably. Was she? Heck no! Jasper was an adrenaline junkie; put her in danger and she was more likely to do it again rather than run. Turning on her heel, she waved for the others to follow, sparks dancing off her onto the ground and between her fingers. How exciting

As she stepped out of the club, the Tesla skidded to a stop at the curb, all the doors swinging open. The young woman had walked passed Drake by then, planning on just climbing into the drivers seat of the hatchback. Her back still to him, she wasn’t sure he’d care, but she looked over her shoulder at him anyway. Dark hair falling back out of her jacket as she moved, ocean-blue-green watching him unblinking.

“Do me a solid and don’t touch anything. Don’t want to crash before we get to Una, eh?”

He probably wouldn't know her, neither would the others, and she was fully prepared for hostile responses. She welcomed it, her lack of fear evident in the little half-smirk on her lips.

Kaylee Everose

Location: Avalon

Interaction: Coleman St John @Pilatus; Elijah; Nathan & Nik@webboysurf

Mentions: Cleo @Damo021 & Aya @c3p-0h

Kaylee touched Cole on the back as she got off the bike spotting Elijah in the crowd. Kaylee cut Elijah a look that would make anyone cringe and he appropriately gave her the satisfaction to know that the look was working.

Making her way over to Elijah she pointed at the door of the club behind him. Most of the people had vacated the premise already. Kaylee knew that she need to get the kids out of there and as she got to Elijah held out her hand knowing the punk had drove here. “I’m not in the mood to hear it. Inside now unless you have some pertinent information that needs to be said.”

“Nocturne. I heard Aya say that before she reached out and grabbed the thing and collapsed. And I don’t have the keys Nathan does he wasn’t drinking.”

Kaylee nodded as she walked past him and into Avalon. Or would have but Drake came out with Aya in his arms and was that Jasper Phoenix? Yes it was had a car pull up and they got in. Looking at the both of them Kaylee raised an eyebrow. “Right. Who’s car is this? I’m going inside to round the rest of you up and when I get back out you’d better still be here. If not you will wish you had.”

Nathan had a blood sword out and was gripping it tightly. Nik was on his rear on the ground. Looking around quickly she saw Cleo in a pile of rubble limp. She had two students that were unconscious and others that looked like they were roughed up and one missing. Wait where was Heidi?

Excellent. Ashford was going to have her hide. His prodigy was missing and one of the most brilliant minds in the country was also missing. This night was looking worse and worse by the second.

Kaylee looked at Nathan. “Put it up Nathan and go get Cleo. Toss me the keys to Elijah’s car. Someone fill me in.”

The sound of gunfire could be heard through the walls. Muffled thumps and groans filled the air, making Lex's ears perk, pulling his attention away from Uná and making the hairs on his arms stand on end. There was an electricity, an excitement that began coming over him. "They're here."

Lex gripped one of his two pistols, the other still secure in its holster, while fetching his phone with his free hand and dialing a few numbers. He pushed the device to the side of his face and held it where with his shoulder while his hands worked at the gun, dropping the magazine to get a bullet count before sliding it back in and chambering the first round. "Hey, we've got a breach," he said plainly to whoever was on the other end. "Send the cavalry." There wasn't much discussion from the other person. Lex just quickly disconnected the call and pocketed the phone. He looked back to Uná once more. "Judgement Day. Am I going to get shot in the front by whoever the hell is being loud out there, or am I going to get stabbed in the back by the woman whose life I saved?" He didn't wait for the answer. He simply turned around, putting her behind him, and faced the entry door to the office. His anticipation continued to surge as his grip on the firearm tightened.

Just then, the door was violently ejected from the room itself with a loud crack, the hinges splintering off and flying across the way. Lex found himself staring at a fair haired slender man. The air around him seemed to be moving in an odd, yet subtle way like looking through a mirage. "I just fixed that fucking door..." he mumbled under his breath.

"I've come for the girl Uná," the stranger declared. "Her friends want her back. Release her or I shall release you from your wretched excuse of a vessel. Either you step down, or I will put you down..."

"Do you know where you are? What you're even doing here?" Lex was tempted to shoot first and ask questions later, but he just saw the man pull a door off without touching it. Tact over force for this guy. "She's no prisoner, but you are an intrud-" He paused a moment. The thought of intruders made it click. That voice. This was the guy. The guy that invaded his mind earlier. A slow grin formed on Lex's face. "'I am one of you, you not alone. We are the chosen ones.' That was you." Lex holstered his gun and flicked the tip of his nose with his thumb before extending a hand out to the conference table surrounded by chairs. "We should talk."

Cleo D'Nile

Location: Avalon.
Interacting With: Drake @Marrok; Nik @webboysurf
Mention:

A yelp had escaped her lips when the Sluagh grabbed a hold of her young blonde it seemed at the time her drunken idea was a bloody good one, hit a leg ligament and it would fall on the floor, of course just all the horror movies she had watched behind the pillow fort she creates, her idea didn’t work and now she was in it grasp.

Before Cleo could really do anything else to try and free herself or be eaten, well in her mind be eaten, the Sluagh did nothing like that and in fact launched her away, threw her with pretty excessive force, or at least it felt like it as her world was just spinning around and around as everything was a blur during the flight and just missing Drake in the process.

Soon enough Cleo came to a crashing halt, probably smashing into some of the tables and chair before the wall itself which made her eyes shot wide open in shock as if she wanted to say something but nothing would escape her lips, just bucket ton of pain and little to next movement from herself from the impact. Things started to go black from that point onwards as the blonde lost consciousness lying in a pile of rubble as her body lay limp and defenceless from anything that was happening around her while the sight of blood trickled out of her mouth.

The Harley’s engine ticked over slowly as Kaylee got off. Cole remained seated looking over the carnage outside of the club listening to the uneven swing and pop of the exhaust as she proceeded to lay into Elijah. There was no hiding it any longer. Everything she did was always with purpose and intent. She placed her hand firmly on his back as she got off for a reason. He knew she could feel his thoughts. His skin felt like it was practically smoldering under his jacket as they turned in at Avalon. Elijah looked at him curiously from over Kaylee’s shoulder, though quickly turned his head as a car approached. Cole wasn’t close enough to hear the conversation, but the answer was already in his mind. Nocturne.

“I’m going to get Una.” He said coldly looking back at Kaylee as she attempted to gather up the rabble of students that came out of the club. A lap of flame snapped around the rear tire and dissipated in a cloud of white smoke that flowed from the squealing protest of painful contact across asphalt. He was gone in the howling rpm break of a single gear change leaving only the sound of unburned fuel detonating against hot steel echoing through the street.

The air was dark ahead. Street lamps flickered and died as he approached picking up more speed with each millisecond, much faster than he had driven with Kaylee onboard. The time wasn’t far off. He could only hold it back temporarily until the rage was so undeniable and absolute that it broke over him like a meteor strike. A justice so perfected and final that it was elemental in its purpose, ancient and beyond mortal persuasion or delay. Red and white light danced and blurred together around him as he burst through a patch of heavy traffic around an intersection. A car horn blasted a warning, quickly followed by a siren, but the sound strained to catch up with him. He could feel his heart beating painfully inside his chest, convulsing in rhythm with the unearthly symphony of thunder that was poured out into the night.

Nocturne was not far away. He had never been there, but like always he knew where he was going. Flames sparked and curled hatefully around the front tire as a mach cone blinked in screaming red and orange around him exploding through his senses. As the flames came up amidst the deafening chorus of wind and machine so did the same visions that he saw each time, less than fraction of second for each: A woman’s face, sawgrass swaying in the breeze, a city by the water, children playing, the sound of their laughter, a baby crying. Every time he saw them it was the worst, most hollow feeling he could imagine, multiplied a thousand times, like his soul was emptied out and burned into the aether. His grip twisted and pulled against the handlebars unnaturally as a terrible call went out across myriads of realities, seen and unseen, known and unknown.

-----------

The lights at Nocturne began to buzz and flicker slightly in the midst of Lex and Ayel’s conversation followed closely by a static hum over the dormant sound system. A feedback spike sounded and static cracked into the ears of the two men until a song started over the speakers and quickly skipped into another, then another before finally settling on one more that droned out slowly with broken reception as if it were tuned to a station barely within range. The song continued on, broken, but steady until the characteristic sound of a Harley Davidson could be heard approaching.

Heidi Williams

Location: Nocturne.

As Ayel went upstairs, Heidi turned and went downstairs, exiting the stairwell and taking her bearings. She was not in the backstage area of the club proper. She made her way silently to the stage itself and peeked through the closed curtains. Yes, the actual club area was brimming with armed guards, and they were focusing their attention on the front door so all had their backs to her. If she needed to distract them when the time came for her friends to need some assistance, there was a lot of sound equipment on the stage that Heidi could utilise, that would distract the guards while leaving Heidi unaffected. However, she would have to time that right in such a case otherwise she could put her teammates at a disadvantage too. Besides, she had to search for Uná. That was priority over helping out her more-than-capable classmates.

Leaving the stage area, Heidi went back to searching the backstage corridors of the first floor. There were dressing rooms, and storage rooms, but none contained any sign of life. Every few seconds, Heidi would check all around her to make sure nobody was sneaking up on her. The ground floor was clear, and Heidi was about to return to the stairwell oblivious to the sounds of gunfire, when she noticed that the lights were flickering unnaturally. She couldn't hear the songs playing, or the sound of a bike in the distance, but one thing she did know that when the lights flicker, somebody sends somebody else to check the fusebox, just to make sure. Heidi's first thought was to hide. Then she reasoned that if she took out this one guard in isolation, that's one less guard her friends had to fight. On the other hand, it might raise the alarms if he was discovered. One the other, other hand, will things stay off-alert for that long with Ayel upstairs? She decided in the end to take him out.

She hid in a changing room and watched as, sure enough, a guard was heading to the breaker room, clearly relaxed as he thought that he was further away from danger now he was out of reach of the door. Despite having no combat training, Heidi ran some simulations in her head of what certain actions would likely result in. A great many of them resulted in her getting shot or captured. She picked one of the options that didn't result in that outcome, and snuck out, tailing the guard. When she was close enough, she simultaneously kicked his leading leg from under him, and reached up to clasp his mouth with her hand. While he was struggling, threatening to escape the much weaker little girl, she put all of her body weight into her arm while he was still unstable balance-wise, and sent his head slamming into the wall with a sickening slapping sound. He was out cold. Possible concussion but unlikely given the official statistics. Nobody was alerted. All in all, a success.

Now that she knew the ground floor was not where Uná was being kept, Heidi headed back to the stairwell.

Ayel Rozenfeldt

"Just like this door, you seem quite unhinged. This place? Nocturne. I am a hunter, and you are the hart of the operation. Jumping all the day to your deer den, thinking it will keep you safe from the purging fire raging outside." Ayel gave a slight smirk, as he gradually moved into the room, floating forwards slowly through the air. He attempted to circle his way around the room, to put one of the walls to his back to put himself in what he determined an advantageous position. Sight to both his target, the doorway with it's missing door and the window with sight down to the floor below.

"I think you do know what I am doing here. And we are talking, I just prefer standing. Or floating if that's more appropriate. If Una here is nay a prisoner, then you are surely not to stop her from accompanying me are you?" He was not intending on sitting down by the table with someone who'd could easily shoot him under the table or use other underhanded means of gaining an upper hand. He had to keep his eyes on the man's hands.

Ayel began to quickly try figure the man and his possible plan out. This man had picked up his telepathic message, meaning indeed that he was not human. Allthough he had humans working under him, well armed humans. Meaning either he or whom he served had alot of money, and enough intel to find these people. Even more so have them obey without question, knowing fully well what they've gotten themselves into. So they had little trouble opening fire on those of his ilk and even children.

Yet despite that, relying on humans rather than mutant allies told Ayel enough. It meant that he was most likely the only mutant working for this particular cause, as he fully knew that there were a ton of mutants albeit young heading to try rescue their comerade. The man, despite his fine clothing seems to not be the one pulling the strings, these fully grown men would have trouble following a man without any form of backup. Even more so if they know of what he was. The one pulling the strings were likely a human. A wealthy human. With connections in the underground.

The target. The girl Una was seemingly not taken because of a desire to claim only her, neither would all these humans be able to handle a group of young angry mutants. No, this was an attempt to drive someone in particular here. A young mutant? A teacher? There has to be a connection to this girl. Likely someone to where revenge were to be delivered. But for a revenge there had to be a wrongdoing. What was that wrongdoing? Something to the puppeteer, whom would have no trouble at all in taking a mutant under his wing? No. There had to be a stronger reason.

The blonde began to realize the possibility of the origin and plan of the pale man. He was no mutant, neither were he human. For what mutant would so willingly ally themselves with humans to attack their own kind in such a manner? No. He was possibly one of the disgusting results of humanitys great desire to claim stars that were never theirs to begin with. This man's hatred is likely for someone he never knew, or knew too much. His father. In a matter of looking at it most likely, this man curses his own existance and the blood in his veins, being a hound to the man who'd loosened his shackles. The puppeteer. The creator.

He or she would have to be found later. For now...

This pale skinned man.

"Your odd skin and appearance, ever questioned it? You... you were not born, you were in fact created. A clone. A weapon for humankind. Perhaps even a defect one, in their insane dream of progress they didn't care if they should, only that they've could. With memories that are not even your own. Your sole purpose in this world is following the path someone else have set you upon. Do you even know whom? Does it anger you? It should. But your anger is misplaced." Ayel said in a matter of fact kind of voice.

"A man without past nor future, at least if you are going to continue about that way. There will ultimately be nay bridges left for you to burn, and nay revenge nor truth which can ease your suffering. But even you desire the truth, don't you? Nay matter how grim it be."

He didn't know if he was right in his assumption, in the worst case the man could presume that Ayel was able to pry into the minds of others to take their precious hidden compartments and reveal them. The man did know that Ayel could indeed sent telepathic messages, being able to read minds was another talent. Not one which Ayel possessed himself, nor ever would be able to do. Sometimes perhaps you didn't have to, just chose the right approach and couple it with deception or truth. Depending on which you'd chose to believe in. If the man would break down, then Ayel would not only have rescued a fellow kin but found another weapon of humanity to turn against them.

Allthough he did realize that this situation had become much more dangerous than he had first thought, he had expected only foolish humans but had come into something which were not human. This man was surely dangerous and was not to be taken lightly, thus he had to do all in his power to turn the area to his advantage and the other conditions. The man knew he was capable of telepathy, but Ayel did not know a thing about the man's powers. They could be just about anything.

"As to whom I am. I am Beacon. I offered my body and soul to the cause of the oppressed, I'd hate to add yours to the offering, but if you'd try stop me leaving with Una, then I have little choice in the matter. Come here will you, Una?"

Ayel asked and at that point the static interuption came. Something was happening. Something was coming. No. Someone. Friend or foe? The telepath was prepared for the worst, Heidi was still downstairs and many of the men would soon enough likely make their way upstairs due to all the shooting or run back down to the sound of... a motorbike?

The sound of gunfire could be heard through the walls. Muffled thumps and groans filled the air, making Uná wince, pulling Frost’s attention away from her and making her stomach turn. "They're here." Frost stated with too much excitement.

Oh shit I’m in trouble…

Frost gripped one of his two pistols, the other still secure in its holster, while fetching his phone with his free hand and dialing. He held the phone to his ear with his shoulder while his hands worked at the gun, dropping the magazine to get a bullet count before sliding it back in and chambering the first round. "Hey, we've got a breach," he said plainly to whoever was on the other end. "Send the cavalry." There wasn't much discussion from the other person, or he didn’t wait for a response. He just quickly disconnected the call and pocketed the phone. He looked back to Uná once more. “Judgement Day. He simply turned around, putting her behind him, and faced the entry door to the office. His grip on the firearm tightened.

Rude!!! Uná glared at his back. I have no intention of killing anyone. I just hope that no one else gets hurt...

Just then, the door was violently ejected from the room itself with a loud crack, the hinges splintering off and flying across the way. Uná was staring at a fair haired slender man. The air around him seemed to be moving in an odd, yet subtle way like looking through a mirage. "I just fixed that fucking door..." Frost mumbled under his breath.

I don’t know this person!!! Uná stayed at Frost back. I have no intention of killing anyone. I just hope that no one else gets hurt...

"I've come for the girl Uná," the stranger declared. "Her friends want her back. Release her or I shall release you from your wretched excuse of a vessel. Either you step down, or I will put you down..."

What? Is this punked or something? Who talks like that? Wait he sounds like an 80’s movie...maybe he’s from the country? No cable? Maybe? Blast From The Past movie I guess could have happened to someone? Uná still didn’t trust this guy. I have no intention of going anywhere with anyone whom I don't know. Not that I really know Frost here...Ugh I want Nikolai.

"Do you know where you are? What you're even doing here?" Frost questioned the guy.

Tact over force. No surprise there. The dude just blew in the door. I’d make the same call.

"She's no prisoner, but you are an intrud-" Frost paused a moment. "'I am one of you, you not alone. We are the chosen ones.' That was you." Frost holstered his gun and flicked the tip of his nose with his thumb before extending a hand out to the conference table surrounded by chairs. "We should talk."

WHAT!?!?!? Oh hell no...this is bad all the way around. I’m not staying here nor am I leaving with that maniac!!! From here on out he is Blast Dude. Uná flashed a look over to Blast Dude as Frost said who he was. Then her eyes widened as she took in the information that Frost said that he heard the guy. What did I do to deserve all this?!? Was I Stalin in another life?

"Just like this door, you seem quite unhinged. This place? Nocturne. I am a hunter, and you are the hart of the operation. Jumping all the day to your deer den, thinking it will keep you safe from the purging fire raging outside." Blast Dude gave a slight smirk, as he gradually moved into the room, floating forwards slowly through the air. He attempted to circle his way around the room, puting one of the walls to his back.

Yeah unhinged, takes one to know one. Uná stayed face impassive as she took in the information that guy was letting drop. Now I have sift through prose to wonder what he is talking about? There is a bang head here sign in this place right? I need one. Uná looked around half listening.

"I think you do know what I am doing here…” Uná spaced and missed some of what was said at the sound of her name from Blast Dude she payed more attention. “Uná here is nay a prisoner, then you are surely not to stop her from accompanying me are you?"

Blast Dude knows my name, can talk to people in their minds… yeah this just got officially creeptastic...NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITH CREEPER!!!!

It should. But your anger is misplaced." Blast Dude said in a matter of fact kind of voice.

Arrogance much? I guess he’s never seen an albino. It’s like looking at my hair and saying I’m a witch. And to say he was created. Who does he think he is?!? There is no way that any of my friends would put up with anyone saying something like that to anyone.

"A man without past nor future, at least if you are going to continue about that way. There will ultimately be nay bridges left for you to burn, and nay revenge nor truth which can ease your suffering. But even you desire the truth, don't you? Nay matter how grim it be."

Between the two of them I want to go back and not leave... ever… Although Frost did have a point what if we are being manipulated… Uná’s mouth twisted for a moment and she took a step to the side more completely behind Frost.

"As to whom I am. I am Beacon. I offered my body and soul to the cause of the oppressed, I'd hate to add yours to the offering, but if you'd try stop me leaving with Uná, then I have little choice in the matter. Come here will you, Uná?"

Uná took a step to the side to be seen and crossed her arms. She heard something... a motorbike? Cole has a bike maybe it was him? It’s a really nice bike. I still need to get him to take me out on it. Just around the campus once. Oh no what if it was him? Could he take these two? What if he’s walking into a trap?!?!? STOP!! You don’t even know if it is him. Time to face the music…Throwing a fit might help stall so people can get here. Or possibly distract them so that Cole can me… maybe… Far fetched… I’m not hoping that really is Cole.

Uná looked Blast Dude, aka Beacon, in the eyes. “Not only no but Hell No. I have no idea who you are. No one I know is with you from what I can tell. I’ll take my chances here with Frost who by the way has a condition and is albino not a clone or created. He was born!! And it’s pretty flipping arrogant to come in here and call him defective and assume things about him!!! I can’t even begin to wonder where you got your information or do you just assume that everyone might be a clone? How’s that working for you? Dollars to donuts it hasn’t panned out yet. So the answer is an unequivocal no. I go nowhere with you.”

Uná turned toward Frost. “Don’t you get me started on how I’m staying here. You are the lesser of two evils right now Frost. I don’t want to talk to either of you right now.” She looked between the both of them. “You can leave me here and go before my friends get here and I will be fine. I have complete faith in Demo. He’ll find me.” Her eyes widened as she realized that announced preferential treatment and that might be a bad thing to put him in front of Frost.

Oh my god...what did I just do? Please don’t notice… Please don’t notice…

Nikolai "Demo" Markov & Nathan Caldwell

Location: Avalon

Interactions: Each other, Cleo @Damo021, Aya @c3p-0h, Kaylee Everose @Almalthia

Mention: None

Nik hopped up to his feet, hands still glowing on their own for a moment until his eyes locked on to his professor. The anger deep inside began to simmer as the energy receded almost into thin air. Nathan, on the other hand, took a deep breath himself and let the swords of blood turn liquid and drip to the ground. He reached into his pocket, tossing the keys of Elijah's car to the faculty member sheepishly as he was the DD for the night.

Nathan spent a few moments trying to muster up the words, while Nik quickly rushed outside after Drake and someone he didn't immediately recognize. Nathan sighed. "Well, what seems important is that Una was kidnapped, and we need to go get her. Now. Some place called Nocturne, apparently."

As Nik rushed outside, he went to catch up towards his roommate while keeping an eye on the newcomer. "Let's roll, D." He gave a thankful nod to the stranger. "I hope you're really trying to help. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." With the threat, Nik hopped into the car.

The sensory input was getting a little overwhelming for Lex. The haunting threat of an ever-advancing motor in the distance, the speakers being hijacked, blaring the soundtrack of a stranger. Ayel and Uná's words trading before him. The knowledge that more adversaries were on the way weighed further on his mind. He was losing control of the situation.

The accusation that he was a clone by this Beacon fellow was enough make Lex reassess how powerful this person really was. As he watched him hover across the room, he picked up on two things. Apprehension and uncertainty. That was comforting, anyway. Beacon didn't have a plan. He had grandeur. As Uná rejected his company, Lex ate up the situation like a warm, fluffy brownie. At the end, he heard her mention a 'Demo', a knight she was expecting to come to her rescue. That introduction should prove interesting as well. Lex's eyes bounced over to the clock on the wall, taking in the time for but a split second before recentering on Beacon.

"Like I said," Lex reiterated after Uná declared her preference for him over Ayel. "I was a little quick to describe you as an intruder. Perhaps I should more accurately describe you as an unexpected guest?" The motor sound from outside continued, distracting Lex for a moment, but he snapped back. "You talk to me about confused purpose, yet here you are tasked by children to 'save' a woman who doesn't need nor want saving." Lex made sure his eyes were boring directly into Beacon's as he spoke, his face unflinching, looking at the hovering mutant with a sense of caged, ravenous hunger behind a colorless mask of seriousness.

"You want to be the shepherd, but you have no flock. You want to be a big man in a world that has no idea who you are. That sort of feat takes money, resources, contacts, strategy... Lucky you. Those children with whom your mistakenly kowtowed to just introduced you to the man that can give you access to all of that. I was hoping to discuss it now, but it seems as though we are short of time. We're left with a blind decision, then. A potential leap of faith. The children who commanded you like a dog to come fetch my guest will likely be here soon. Along with whoever else seems to be looking to raise some hell. I've not harmed this young woman and, indeed, I helped keep her safe from whatever that monstrosity was at Avalon. I look at the mirror and I see a savior of benevolent intent. Like you. They look at me and baselessly see me as a malevolent abductor, a evil that needs to be squelched. Over nothing. Even if you did deliver this young woman back to them, how long until they look at you the same as they do me?"

It was inevitable. The truth used to be something that was solid fact. These days, the truth was subjective. Everyone loved to see heroes fall, rising stars crash, glory crash into misery. The moment Beacon assembled his flock of mutants with anti-human intent, he'd be the next target of wrath. Lex just hoped he was forward thinking enough to realize this truth.

"So your choices are simple. Remain on the children's leash and fell a good, albeit misunderstood mutant, one of the chosen. Or take the leash off. Be the shepherd and let me help you do it. But I'm of no use to you dead." Lex extended his hand out, offering a shake, a path for both of them to succeed in their endeavors.

Drake “D” Edwards

Interaction/Mentions: @c3p-0h@webboysurf@Damo021@ViolentViolet | Location: Avalon

“Do me a solid and don’t touch anything. Don’t want to crash before we get to Una, eh?” Drake looked to the woman with a raised eyebrow. He witnessed her summon forth a vehicle by pure will. Obviously she was a card carrying member of the mutant squad. What's more, she wanted to help. In the predicament they were in, any help was appreciated. As the doors flung open, seemingly by themselves, Drake carefully sat Aya into the front passenger's seat, his friend still unconscious due to her brave actions from before. He buckled her safety belt with the delicacy one employ in trying not to crack the shell of an egg. Satisfied, he looked at his newfound ally whose name he still didn't know.

"This is precious cargo. Get her there safely or we're going to have problems," Drake said. It wasn't issued as a threat, more as a matter of fact. He then shut the from passenger door and turned to his classmates. "If you're going, get in now," he announced, his tone authoritative and stern. He wanted to waste as little time as possible. "Especially you, Nik," he added, looking his roommate in the eyes. "My bike's up front. I'll follow you all there, but just make sure Aya safe during the ride." Nik was a good man. He knew there would be no argument from him. With that, Drake took off in a full sprint toward Veronica, his mechanical steed. As he leapt on her, he engaged the ignition and revved her up.

His skin was still hot. He wasn't on fire, but it took everything in him to keep that in check. His fatigue was going in and out. One moment, he was focused, the next he felt almost light headed. At this, the eleventh hour, he had no choice but to maintain. He had a destination, a goal. Now it was time to make it happen.

Ayel Rozenfeldt

Ayel shook his head slowly after hearing Una's answer to not only reject his aid, but strongly reject it due to her not knowing whom he was. She did however provide him with a name however for the pale skinned man. "Frost". A codename or perhaps just a nickname she'd given to him. Was the young man bestowed with the power over cold or ice?

The blonde man considered his options, whilst it may have been possible to forcefully attack 'Frost' and attempt to drag Una out of the place. What Ayel believed in, which was freedom, freedom of choice and right to decide your own fate. Even if some peoples wishes would come to clash against oneanother, the decision, the choice was to be respected. No matter what side of a struggle you would be in, if you were mutant or human. The girl would had to be taught a lesson, a hard lesson but a lesson nontheless. That actions does bear consequences, even little things.

Would the girl be destined to die in a shoot-out between mutants and humans and become a martyr, something which could be used to gather more under his call. Or were she to live with the knowledge of having indirectly led her friends to injury or death. Either way Ayel would end up winning, despite not feeling overly happy having to leave a chosen kin behind with a traitor.

In order to win the game, you must sometimes sacrifice some pieces in order to advance. If you think too long then you'll run out of time and you will be checked before you know it. Such folly. The girl is picky about who'd liberate her, this knight coming to her rescue... Demo.

Ayel raised both his hands as if he held unto two gouts of fire in them. "Then take your chances Una, in the path you've chosen for yourself, but also for your friends. Let us hope Heidi does not fall ill for it." The blonde said in a matter of fact manner of tone, as he eyed the pale man whom Una had aptly named Frost. Ayel made note of his wandering gaze towards something in the room. He was waiting for something, perhaps buying time for himself or someone? Something was off. He then began to rearrange his previous statements and call him an unexpected guest. Well, in that they could certainly agree.

"That you may do. Albeit you are a terrible host. I'd dismissed your servants by the way, they are now on permanent vacation." The blonde offered a slight scoff to Lex. Then the pale man had gone about to describe him as a shepherd but also as a hound of the young mutants which had first told him about Una. Ayel did deduce that the man was actually trying to recruit him for his nerfarious plans. Just how lost had this kin become? Trying to recruit the one which would do all in his power to save the world from the demons which be choking it.

"Nay. You are wrong. It is you whom be a shepherd and the sheep has already been butchered, and as we speak a pack of wolves are on the way. And if there are not enough sheep to swallow, then you'll be next. You try to offer me things which I do not need or already possess. Do not try putting me on the same level as lowly human trash, you whom walk with demons, a traitor be destined to be betrayed. Your offer is worthless. I cannot be bribed into corruption nor evil. My heart is a bastion. My mind is a fortress."

While Una did indeed seem to not be harmed in any manner from what Ayel could tell. There had to be a change in plans as Una had no intention of leaving with him, so he had to make use of this in the best way that he could.

"It was not because of the children's plea I went here, it was for the good of all. My choices are simple though, you are correct. However you are also dead wrong. You will be of use to me when you are dead. Rest assured. You'll even be of some use to me... alive. Now that things have turned this way. I shall bid my leave, we've shall likely not meet again, Frost." Ayel gave a slight chuckle followed by a grin, before he began to float towards the doorway in a manner to still keep sight of Lex and his destination. The blonde then fully raised his telekinetic barrier and propelled himself out of the room from the same way he came in. Would there be any humans caught in his path they would get to know the mistake of doing so.

So all he had to do now was to get out, possibly fetching Heidi along the way. If not then he'd had to do without her, whatever was going to now happen in the building was going to become bloody. And the girl Una would most surely be guiltridden for it all happening because of her, how would she react once she realizes just how easily it all could have been avoided had she'd left with Ayel. The blonde had made this his plan. No matter how the coming fight in the building would end, he alone would stand as the one to gain the most. Would Una die or be wounded, then the children's hatred for traitors and humankind would drive them away from their teachers and into Ayel's kind embrace. Would Heidi or any of the other which would arrive be harmed, then Una would surely come to see things his way. Whichever scenario. He would come out on top.

The blonde was aware that at any moment however, he could run into humans or have that Frost individual give chase. That or run into other people. For now he wanted to just get out and then he could watch it all play out.
