Hooo boy, that got lllloong, but I feel accomplished now.

Hope no one minds the fact Iva routinely appears as different things to Mortals, hence why mortals have trouble actually depicting the god.

Also, to be clear. That 'Mark' is basically just an identifier that Iva puts on things that is theirs.

I laughed out loud when reading @Duoya's post. I laughed as I thought of how much Gammaton is going to ruin Hayim's day. Because I read @thewizardguy's post, and came up with a brilliant solution Somler's predicament.

In Islam (and probably the other Abrahamic faiths) there is the concept of the veil of the unseen, which means that human experience is limited to the physical, while the metaphysical remains hidden behind the veil. Though humans can have knowledge of the unseen, humans can never experience or verify it (except after the Day of Judgment). The unseen includes God Himself, details about the afterlife like Heaven and Hell, the Angels, etc.

One way to create a world in which both @Rune_Alchemist's Iva'Krorh and Somler can live in relative harmony is to keep the realm of the gods distinct from the realm of men, so that metaphysical mystery will always remain, yet leaving humans free to uncover the mysteries of the physical world. This necessitates a world in which the dead never go back, and gods do not interact directly with humans. My plan now is to team up with @Dealdric's Dirka to create 'religion', guided by her sorcerers so that humans can interact with the gods through intermediaries (shamans or priests), a force that stands as the line between the physical and the metaphysical.

Such an arrangement would, of course rain on Hayim's parade, since Hayim already commits several things that would be taboo under such a system:

1. He visits the TRIBES on a BIMONTHLY basis.
2. He's already told the tribes information about the other gods.
3. He performs miracles on the regular.
4. He takes people to Akhuz on a whim, thank goodness this tribe has some form of self-regulation, but the same might not be said about other tribes.
5. He lets people LEAVE Akhuz. At least this one turned to ash.

I'm laughing to myself maniacally at how much I have to be a royal dick and attempt to trample on the hopes and dreams of the smol hermit crab flower. But I will try to create a win-win situation.

Never mind, I got a post up anyways. May not be as long as some of the others, but its a start. The scene could take place in any forest the others are in, so if you want to meet with him and you're in a forest environment, by all means be my guest. Left its location vague for this purpose.

So instead of opening a can of worms, I present to you~

Also, Gammaton always uses respectful terms of address for his fellow gods, calling his brethren 'Lords' and his...sisthren(?) "Ladies". He reserves the title of "The Honorable One" for Iva'Krorh because @Rune_Alchemist has indicated a preference for their character remaining somewhat gender-neutral or gender-ambiguous, so I didn't want to use a gendered term of address. It doesn't mean Gammaton thinks any less of the others.

Dirka acts like Hayim's big sister in her mind. She probably won't be too happy to see Hayim cry.

Plus, religion controlled by a crazy B____? Does Gammation have a loose screw as well?

Law has a hard road ahead of him.

Bringing Honey to White Dawn, huh? Well, that's going to certainly get Iva's attention.

You know, Iva probably wouldn't mind a separation from the divine and mortal realms. It would make it so that humans who sought them out had another obstacle to overcome, and thus, learn how to defeat/deal with.

Heeey, I updated Iva's CS page a bit. Nothing really new, just expanding on some things regarding White Dawn and such. Figured you'd want to know in case I fudged something up somewhere.

An interesting idea. Make Sommler the god of the 'Veil', rather than the mysteries of the physical universe. That might well work, actually.

I was always wondering whether Sommler would end up part of a system or as a genocidal force of destruction. If Gammaton gets his way, system might actually work out. Although Sommler isn't very fond of Gammaton, so it might be hard to convince him.

It's her mages Gammaton is gunning for, since the best way to convince humans of gods, especially if the gods are hidden behind a veil, is with magic. Of course, certain compromises would need to be made.

That's where @A Lowly Wretch's Oao comes in. To create the metaphysical veil would require that which obscures vision as well as that which escapes comprehension. I believe Sommler and Oao are on good terms? And I don't doubt Gammaton can recruit Oao by exploiting her insecurities; make her feel special and important, etc.

@Stern Algorithm I keep wondering, what would Gammaton even attempt with Ragnagedon.

The main weakness of the veil is captured by the phrase, "out of sight, out of mind". With gods no longer present, humans lose faith over time and need reminders, sometimes harsh reminders. @Lmpkio Both dragons of destruction serve as good watchdogs, huehuehue.
