Overall, pretty good. It might be just me, but the image seems broken. I would recommend listing out the weaknesses with bullets, and I'd encourage you to add two more things that he's good at, just so he doesn't start super disadvantaged. The most notable thing is the Power section, since rather than have a power he has a companion, who has the powers. If you like, we could rework things just a little. You could keep track of his Pokemon separately, not with their own sheets of course, but just in a little list either in or after the Inventory section with their moves and weaknesses. For Bede's Power, we could lean into how things work in the Pokemon games themselves, so that he isn't totally disadvantaged just by being a normal guy.

How about a Power called Pokemon Trainer, which means two things: as long as he has a Pokemon out and fighting on his behalf, and damage taken by Bede will be dealt to his Pokemon instead. And if his Pokemon's health is depleted, it will always faint instead of dying, and be returned to his Pokeball, which would have to be destroyed while the Pokemon is fainted to kill it. This is just spitballing, but I think it would be fair given how things work in Pokemon.

Changed the picture. Is it showing up now?

I wasn’t sure what to include with the things he’s good at since the games focus so much on battling? Maybe I could include raising and caring for Pokémon?

I’m going to add the Pokémon Trainer power. I figured as he levels up he would gain additional Pokemon, or the Pokémon he has get stronger and evolves and stuff.

Do they accept Pokedollars in the World of Light?

He could probably trade in pokedollars for gold, or whatever other currency is trading in the area he is in. Or some places might accept more "modern" currency like that. Also just as a suggestion while I'm here in the OOC tab, probably could expand something like "caring for Pokemon" into "caring for animals." After all maybe he could expand into yokai, or tamagotchi, or tem tems, or any other such creature. Sky's the limit!

CS edited. I just put strategic as the third strength. Don’t know how helpful that will be.

My biggest stump to jump over is wether Asterisks would constitute as a power or a specialty because they are interchangeable. Elvis just had more experience as a Black Mage at the start of Bravely Default II. Asterisks are Jobs and each job has proficiencies and abilities, and like Elvis I probably don't need to currently 'sweat the details' but ya know it's good to ask.

If a character has multiple asterisks/jobs, you could spend a level upgrade to add a new one, or develop an existing one further.

All the changes seem good. Being strategic can definitely help when it comes to the crazy situations that our group ends up in sometimes; anything to control the chaos!

@Lugubrious Hm, thank you that sounds good. I'll say he starts as a Black Mage and has access to Freelancer like all the characters in BD II do. In his possession he has Lady Emma's book as well which uses Asterisks to see their past memories and such. Would that be alright as it is his whole goal still to figure out the book. Thus find other Asterisks..Even here in the World of Light.

That should be fine as a character sort of thing, since it doesn't seem like it offers any super big advantage.

Now that your guy's in the Characters tab, we can talk about an entry point. I usually do it in PMs, but since we've got several prospective joiners, I can give you the low-down right here:

In our in-game 'yesterday', everyone had a pretty busy day. In the early hours of the morning Blue Team took out the Orphan of Kos, escaped back to Limsa Lominscuttle Town, and essentially took the rest of the day off in a nice beach episode. Meanwhile Yellow Team spent the afternoon climbing Split Mountain, flying back down, and fighting the Red Eye boss. As 'today' begins, most of Blue Team is meeting inside Alcamoth, the floating futuristic citadel that's the home base for the campaign to defeat Galeem. Yellow Team ended up spending the night in (or just outside) Gerudo Town in the Sandswept Sky. We've also got White Team currently embroiled in events on Dragonspine in the Frozen Highlands, but I wouldn't say that's a valid entry point right now. So the choices are:
  • Bede has been in a town or other settlement near Alcamoth, and met one of the mercenary teams exploring the world. Maybe he was looking for a way out, but those under Galeem's Influence tend to stagnate. He might have been curious and questioned the mercenaries, or requested their help, but the end result would be that he became interested in joining them and ended up back in Alcamoth, where he would be freed of Galeem's influence and then able to join Blue Team as they have a morning meeting in Mercenary HQ
  • Bede happened to be in the Sandswept Sky, and is either staying in Kara Kara Bazaar at the oasis outside Gerudo Town, or ended up there just this morning. From that point he'd probably take note of Yellow Team, and maybe eavesdrop on their conversation in the saloon, thereby learning of the train station in Gerudo Town that could take him anywhere in the World of Light, prompting him to tag along
  • Bede could be inside Nyakuza Metro, the giant indoor station that serves as the hub for the aforementioned trains, and Yellow Team will meet him when they arrive.

Personally, I think either of the latter two options would be a bit cleaner-cut, and if you picked the last one you wouldn't even need to think up a reason for him to be in the desert. Lots of people use the metro to get places, after all.

Aight just a heads up. I've a lot of other stuff on my plate so I'll need to finish my sheet at another point in time. But life is what it is, just letting you know.

A very solid application, and welcome to World of Light! I'm glad to have you around. I can't find anything amiss with your sheet, so let me just say it's good to see Roxas on board. Go ahead and put the sheet in the Characters tab, and we can start to put together an introduction. Here's a few points to get you started:

  • There is a map in the Characters tab, as well as some other resources to help you get familiar with the World of Light if you like, but feel free to ask any questions!
  • Right now, there is an unusual abundance of places you could have Roxas show up, because at the moment about half the roster is using a continent-wide, space-warping train system called the Metro in order to find a spot close to Alcamoth, our team's home base. The options are as follows:
    • Aviary Biodome - a giant, somewhat alien ecosystem housed in an enormous biodome up in the arctic. There are lots of exotic creatures there, many dangerous, but not much civilization beyond the main base / tour center. Probably not the most sensible choice
    • Radlandia - A quirky coastal town in the Deep Blue Seaside, set in a part of the countryside that's a bit on the weirder/trippier side, with all sorts of strange people and phenomena. A decent choice
    • Queen's Station - a crossroads between a couple different underground biomes in a subterranean region. Also probably not the most sensible choice
    • Twilight Town - the next destination for the three-person team currently in Haven, as well as the closest stop to Alcamoth, making it the Metro contingent's actual goal, so it's bound to be the reunification point for both halves of the roster

We've also got people currently in Alcamoth, as well as in Dragonspine, but I'd rather avoid those choices for the time being
  • The World of Light has existed for about two months prior to the actual start of the RP, and we've gone through six IC days since then. This means that when you put Roxas somewhere, it could pay to think about where he's been and what he's been doing in that time. That said, if you choose Twilight Town, that's basically figured out for you

That's all I can think of for now. Hope it's not too intimidating, but either way, I'm here to help!

I'd say Twilight Town is the obvious choice to go with, so let's do that. Is it the KH Twilight Town or is it the Twilight Town from Paper Mario TTYD?

Sweet! It'll be the Kingdom Hearts one, although like everywhere it'll have some elements from other games mixed in. Maybe even ones from this other Paper Mario Twilight Town, who knows. If you're familiar enough with the area to be confident in making your own OP, then by all means. You could even sprinkle some other game elements around if you like, since everyone gets chances for creative liberty now and again. Or, I'd be happy to collab with you on an opening post, helping with the setting and other background characters.

I think a collab would be best. While I'm super familiar with Kingdom Hearts (and most of the stuff in Smash in general) there are some additions I'm definitely not as familiar with.

Fun fact: I was so dangerously close to applying with Goro Majima but decided against it because I'm not quite as familiar with Yakuza and also I'm not sure I would have been able to do that character justice, frankly. xD
