"Oh alright, see ya." Max was a bit blindsided by James sudden exhaustion. Though after hearing the days events he could see why. It must've taken a lot out of him to fix up a broken spine, to help heal a hulled wound, and to spend time searching for him and Sunshine. He looked at Harry with a embarrassed smile as he fiddled his thumbs. It was nice to know some people cared about him. "Are you doing alright now? Not just the injury but...I'm sorry for disappearing. I know James says that this power can be exciting when I learn to weild it but until then...I made so many of you worry for Sunshine." His smile faded a bit, thinking about all the trouble he put the Underground through the past few days. He wasnt even fully sure how long they had been gone, how far away they traveled.

Harry made his way to Max's side, taking the place James had previously occupied and placing his arm around Max's shoulders. "We were worried about you too kid. I know it didn't seem like it, and honestly that's not right, but having lost Sunshine twice just made it feel as though they only cared for her. But thats not true." He gave Max a tight squeeze before standing back up to stretch. "Alright, well I'm going to go join them if you want to come. There's a lot to discuss and plan before Veil gets back. We need options and fast. But if you feel like you're need to keep your distance a bit then that's fine." With that Harry made his way out of the room, seeing James talking to Casper and making his way towards Waverly.

Max followed shortly after. Leaving the room and taking a look around the Mutant Underground. A lot of places where still covered in rubble, rooms and pathways closed off from debris that hadnt been touched yet. James and the others had worked so hard to get this place to where it was now, and Max wanted to help in the ways that he could. He stood back, facing the rooms and he began to chant. His hands started to coalesce familiar strands of magic that mimicked a galaxy. Small stars swirling around them as his eyes started to glow like they had done before with Sunshine. For a moment everything seemed still, then a burst of energy flowed out and wrapped itself around the rubble and debris and clung to them as the slowly ate away and disappeared. The floors and rooms were spotless and shiny, Max having no idea that he had missed his mark and sent it off to S.H.E.I.L.D.

Harry approached Waverly, holding a finger up as a marker that he was about to step into the conversation. "Sorry to interrupt this reunion but I just wanted to steal Waverly for a moment. Wanted to...pick her brain if you will." He offered them a polite smile before turning to Waverly without so much as waiting for an answer. "I saw that blast you pulled back there, and I was actually wondering if-" His sentence stopped as he watched blasts of energy flowing from Max and all he could think was Oh no. He knew he told him to help his own way but...this seemed dangerous. There was no time to protest as as soon as he wanted to, the place was cleaned up. He blinked once, then twice, before deciding to continue on with Waverly. "My apologies, as I was saying. I was hoping you could attempt to emit a massive sonic blast into the earth or air, in an attempt to cover the whole DC area for me to try and locate the bomb. Granted I've no idea what I'm looking for but anything is worth a try no?"

The glow of his eyes began to fade, swirls of magic still emanating from his hands as he approached one of the newly emptied rooms. He waved his hand in a vertical motion, conjuring up a doorknob and staring at it both annoyed and puzzled. Deciding to scrap the door idea he took both hands and pressed forward on the wall, creating a long hallway with a door at the end. There was a satisfying smile on his face until he opened it to reveal a brick wall. Max sighed as he shut the door, allowing his magic to flow through the doorknob and around the frame as he attempted to recreate the Hellfire Clubs training room. When he felt his magic click, Max opened the door to an amused, yet angry, looking Doctor Strange. A slight chuckle of nervousness left him as his magic dropped. "Nice to see you Doctor Strange. Haven't set the world on fire though I think I made a wrong turn at Albuquerque."

Andy didn't know what a Morlock was. It just made her think of WoW, but those were Murlocs. Did Veil mean the creatures from 'The Time Machine'? Andy shivered a bit, sliding off of Stareyes. "Thanks anyway I guess." She shrugged. Now all she could imagine as she climbed down into the sewer was the gaunt faces of the Morlocks from the 2002 version of the movie. Those were way scarier than the 1960 version. She remembered the pit of water full of bones and was relieved that it was rats they had to contend with instead of cannibals. She had never read the book so she didn't know how different the creatures were from the book, but as a B movie aficionado, she loved the movie (especially the 1960 version which was significantly less scary). That movie had the classic problem a lot of movies from that time did and there was just so much talking, but the special effects were so bad it was hilarious.

At least they had something resembling light powers with whatever it was that Havoc did. And Stareyes had her laser eyes. They probably would do okay against Morlocks in that case. She crinkled her nose. It smelled gross and she was surrounded by rats. Andy was tempted to let a bit of electricity go off. It would kill some of the rats and probably piss off the rest, oh and of course water was conductive. So with the others getting into the sewer, she might hurt them so she didn't want to do that.

"Well from the sounds of it you don't actually care. You say that you have to live with seeing that in your mind but you also don't seem to care and are perfectly fine with that image!" Sapphire snapped at her in response, not even really caring if she might be going a bit over board with yelling at Glimpse, but at the moment there was no way she could care any less with regards to that. Glimpse was a stuck up bitch who didn't seem to care about anyone but herself and everyone else was beneath her just because she had connections like the rest of them. They probably would be better off without her, but sadly she didn't get a vote in whether or not Glimpse stuck around, she only could really voice her opinion on it.

Following after Veil, she went down the ladder into the sewers, not really caring about what was potentially waiting at the bottom. However she felt the movements of the rats and shrugged slightly. "You know what's sad? I've actually wandered around in worse surroundings," she couldn't help but comment. With all of the hell she'd been through in her life, she'd ended up in some pretty bad places, so walking through the sewers, wading through rats, that was absolutely nothing compared to places she had been before.

"I get it Rookie, I figured that one out already," he said towards her with a shrug, that was all he really could say about it. He wasn't sure what else to say to Sunshine, so he more or less fell silent but his attention turned towards his brother and he couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly. As far as he could tell, Casper was more or less a walking disaster, and based on how he tended to act, he wouldn't be surprised if he actually was crazy and just manipulated people into somehow thinking that he wasn't.

"Casper, just because you've been tested doesn't mean that you aren't crazy," Jack responded with a slight laugh, "Not every test is right, mistakes happen and based on our family tree I'd say you probably are, or at least eventually will be, even if you haven't officially tested as being insane," he said to him. There wasn't much else he could say to Casper, given the fact that he was being dragged away partially by his boyfriend.

Zari was only half paying attention to the conversation around her, until that is that Waverly decided to address her, with regards to... Ghosts? That made no sense at all, then her mind wandered to how the Valkyrie were portrayed in Midgardian mythology and it suddenly made sense. "That's not how the Valkyrie work at all! You have me confused with others, cause in the real world the Valkyrie are more or less warriors, an elite force that work for the All-Father," she said simply, part of her sentence sounded almost like she was reading it from a text book in a way.

There was a slight beeping sound as Mr. Eyeball floated over and almost looked like he was looking at her expectantly. She let out a bit of a sigh, "Other reason I know all of this, and how I am a Valkyrie, is because I'm half-Asgardian. My father is of Asgard, my mother is a mutant who was born on Earth. So surprise," she said to her with a bit of a shrug. Then again, if people paid any attention to what she had been saying whenever talking about who she was or her family, then it wouldn't be that much of a surprise. "Also how I ended up with Glowstick! An enchanted sword that can turn into a flashlight... Actually had it so that it could turn into a flashlight so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb... It's great!" Now she was starting to somewhat ramble again.

Veil

Location: Morlock Tunnels
Skills: Invisible Energy Manipulation, Leadership
Veil didn't want to have this conversation now. She wanted to get everyone home safely before thinking about the damage and what their options were. She needed time to clear her head and approach this rationally, that way no one would make any rash choices. The Morlock tunnels weren't a guarantee that they were going to get out of this safely - S.H.I.E.L.D. could still easily catch them all and thrown them in the Raft. "Right now, I don't think we have much of a choice," Veil told Glimpse honestly. "You're easily identified. You killed someone in front of S.H.I.E.L.D. Your best chance - and our best chance - is to go separate ways," she admitted.

She sighed, not liking at all what she had just said, but there was no good way to convey this information. Glimpse was going to be made into a terrorist and put up there with Magneto. She was going to be hunted down. She had killed someone, yes, but it hadn't been just anywhere - it had been blocks from the White House. It wouldn't be hard for people to spin it as an act of aggression against the President. If they caught Glimpse, they wouldn't just lock her up... They'd make an example of her. They'd execute her as a terrorist. "I'm sorry, Luna," Veil said softly. "But you need to run... Start a new life. Go underground. Get as far from the United States as you can."

Veil felt her phone buzz in her pocket and she took it out. Her face fell when she read the message. Nothing was going their way lately it seemed. The M-Pox cures had been a small victory. She rubbed her face, trying to avoid the urge to hyperventilate and cry. The X-Men were busy fighting Magneto, she was surprised that they had managed to get into contact with one of them to begin with. They were on their own with this. And if they failed, all of the deaths would be on her conscience.

Copy that. Keep trying them. Q mentioned they were fighting M. Veil texted back, using shorthand as Quicksilver and Magneto were too long to type out. They had less than ten hours to get the X-Men to either surrender to a maniac or to find this bomb. They had time. Veil breathed in through her nose and out through her mouth. They had time. Ten hours. Ten hours to save Washington D.C.

"Veil, what is it?" Havok asked her, suspicious. He didn't seem particularly happy about Glimpse being told to run.

"One crisis at a time, Havok," Veil said, leading the way forward through the tunnels.

Case in point, S.H.I.E.L.D. had definitely heard all of the yelling and fighting, and currently were going down the ladder as fast as they could to catch up with all of them! Even though Veil had them all invisible, it wouldn't be hard for an agent to shoot them all in such an enclosed space.

Sunshine & Casper

Location: Mutant Underground: Entranceway
Skills: Mediumship
Sunshine honestly didn't really care about the ghost she had seen on the trip with Max. Weird things happened with Max all of the time. No, if there was something she was upset about when it came to a soul of the dead, it was what had happened to Magik. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she glanced at Casper, wondering if he had even tried to conjure her up. But at the same time, she didn't want Casper messing around with Magik. He'd probably find some way to screw it all up and kill her twice or something. "If we're going to ask her to do something, how about she brings Magik back to life?" Sunshine challenged. "I don't care about the ghost in the spooky island. For all I know it was Max's conscience come to life and trying to kill him."

Ben nodded encouragingly, assuming that James was going to pull Casper aside so they could talk through some sort of plan to save everyone with. "Atta boy," Ben praised, smiling.

Casper, meanwhile, read the situation completely differently. Arm around the waist? Check. Invited up to the room? Check. Something else that he forgot but would certainly remember to add to his checklist of things that come before sexy time? Check. Casper grinned and gave James a slightly sloppy kiss on the cheek. "Of course, whatever the doctor orders," he replied cheekily. He had thought that James would've been too tired for sexy time but Casper wasn't going to protest. He was always up for sexy time.

Casper rolled his eyes at his brother though. "Hey, I'm not the one that had a breakdown and kidnapped someone," he pointed out, before sticking his tongue out at Jack. They had always been a pair, just like him and James or him and Ben. He couldn't really remember a time in his life without his little brother being there. And as his big brother, it was Casper's job to annoy him and remind him who was older at all costs.

Of course, Sunshine took Jack's comment about family psychosis a little differently. "Do you think I'm crazy then? Or will be crazy?" she asked Jack pointedly. "After all, I get what, half my blood from you?" She'd never taken a science class or anything like that, so she didn't understand how genetics and inheritance worked at all. She didn't even really know what an X-gene was, despite being a mutant.
Meanwhile, upstairs at the end of the new hallway Max had created, Doctor Strange was looking at Max with an expression that was somehow a perfect mixture of annoyance, impatience, pride, exasperation, and amusement. "Of all my students, you are the most unconventional, Mr. Grey. Now, please tell me what is so important that I needed to take a short break in the midst of exorcising Chthon out of Wanda Maximoff?" Doctor Strange asked bluntly. "And do be quick about it, unless you are eager to live in another false reality, albeit one with more hellfire and brimstone than tea parties and cucumber sandwiches."

Callie Johnson

Location: On the Road Again
Skills: N/A

Callie looked down at her phone as Veil replied back and nodded slightly as she slipped her phone back into her pocket, right now the group seemed to be more or less focused on a dumb ghost on some mystery island out in the middle of nowhere. Zari explained more about her, it sounded interesting, but right now they had a huge bomb that they needed to actually worry about right now as she walked over towards everyone else. "Waverly, as much as I would like to get to know more about Zari's past we have a terrigen bomb to worry about right now." Callie said turning to look at Zari.

"See if you can use your powers on any tech there is find out where Professor X is. Spam call Professor X if you have to, or any other phones that are in the room, we need to call him as soon as possible." Callie said, they needed to get a head start on this. The others right now seemed to want to go off to their rooms right now to, she shook her head slightly looking at Harry. "Get James, Max and Casper back down here. We need to be ready when Veil comes back." Callie didnt want to waste anytime and needed to be ready as soon as possible in case they had to be the ones to go out and find and disarm the terrigen bomb.

Kristina looked towards Veil and then Glimpse for a moment biting her bottom lip slightly sure Glimpse did end up killing someone right in front of some SHIELD agents. It didnt look good at all really and since they were close to the White House it looked even worse for her, she didnt want to see anything bad happen to anyone. She continued to follow Veil down through the sewers as she paused for a moment she could hear SHIELD agents climbing down the ladder.

"I know someone in SHIELD she's my older sister, I could try and text her or something see if she can pull some strings maybe." Kristina whispered to Veil, she wasnt sure how well it would go they were in the sewers right now and if they were caught it really wouldnt turn out to well for anyone at all.

James Kingston

Location: Entranceway -> Casper and James’ room
Skills: N/A

James snuck a kiss out of Casper and then waved goodbye to everyone after Casper finished ribbing Jack. He was glad they got everything figured out with Jack; Casper would have been devastated if anything happened to his little brother. He hummed as he led Casper upstairs, unwilling to let go of his hold on his boyfriend, and guided them to their shared bedroom. He took the opportunity to indulge a little more in Casper’s kisses before he pulled away and stared at Casper seriously.

“So this might kinda be dramatic and shit but I almost lost you today and I was so fucking scared. I was there, trying so god damned hard to shut that hole but I couldn’t and who knows if you would have been okay by the time I could if Callie hadn’t helped. I was fucking terrified, Casper.” James wasn’t proud of how his voice cracked at the thought but he kept going. He wasn’t really a words guy; he was way more comfortable with hugs and kisses and other physical ways of communicating it but it was important and it should be said. “And I was just thinking about how much worse it’s going to get. I mean fuck, there’s a bomb somewhere out there that’ll make this whole area unlivable and we’re probably going to go deal with it because why not send the least qualified people to do it. But while I was thinking about that, I realized I’ve never actually told you that I love you. And yeah, this is cheesy as shit, danger and all that fun stuff making me think about this, but I just really wanted to make sure I told you that I love you.” His adoration was written all over his face as he looked at Casper like he was the sun in the sky.

“And while I’m on the cheesy romance train, I really think maybe this is why you’re the first relationship I’ve really put effort into. You’re perfect to me. I love hearing you talk, I love it when you smile and that little half one you make when you’re about to tease someone, and all the other things that make you, you. And I really hope I make you as happy as you make me.” James carded his hands through Casper’s hair and loop them around his neck, absolutely lovestruck by the man in front of him.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Sewers -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

If Sapphire still believed that Luna was a heartless bitch, then there was nothing the telepath could do to convince her otherwise and besides that, it wasn’t Luna’s responsibility of how other people viewed her. Whatever had happened in Sapphire’s past that caused her to see Luna as the enemy was her issue to figure out as the entire time Luna had been here, attitude or not, she had been trying to help the Underground and she had cared. She had made friends and was starting to feel like she was doing good. Up until this point.
Luna looked at Veil and nodded. She could see Veil’s pain in dismissing her and the struggle but Luna would have left regardless. They didn’t need to be in this fight or the problems she brought to their doorstep.
”I appreciate that Veil and I swear to you that I will do everything I can to keep this from landing on you,” she said seriously. Luna turned her head at the sound of voices behind her and she frowned, following quickly behind the others. They were invisible but they would make noise in an echoing chamber regardless.
The beauty of being in sewers suddenly dawned on Luna when they passed a split in the tunnel they were walking, then another and another. Luna paused, looking behind her and then at Veil again. Well, if she was going to be hunted, may as well start now.
”Veil, I’m going to split off here. Lead as many of them away from you as I can but can you pass a message to James for me? Tell him thank you and that I’ll do what I can to break the psychic link. And thank you, for taking a risk on me. Cheers,” she nodded her head to Veil before she ran back a few feet from the group until she reached the first split in the tunnel she noticed and turned to the sound of voices.
”Bloody hell you wankers are slow! You’re going to have to move faster if you want to catch me!” she yelled. She waited until she could see them before she started running down the tunnel, away from Veil and the Underground.

Waverley winced a little bit when Sunshine mentioned Magik. It wasn't a subject she wanted to touch with a ten foot pole. Not because she felt awkward or uncomfortable about it, but because she knew that it was a conversational path that wouldn't lean anywhere good. Waverley would bring Magik back for Sunshine if she could, Erg too. But she knew she couldn't, and, even with the wide array of oddities Waverley had witnessed since stepping into the world of the Mutant Underground, she still wasn't convinced that resurrection was an option.

"Right then, I guess we'll go ahead and leave the paranormal investigation to the Bill Murr-" Waverley began to reply to Sunshine's disinterest in the ghost, before trailing off as she caught sight of a familiar thin figure step into her vision. Her eyes flicked to him: Max. She was usually able to mostly ignore the boy when he lazed about their headquarters, but the way he walked now held...purpose. It sent a chill up her spine and caused her to go stiff. She followed him with her eyes, watching as he approached a mess of rubble that was scattered about the Underground. She watched as he stopped, his hands glowing with arcane energy, her body rigid in preparation to stop him on the off chance this was some nefarious scheme. She was so focused on him that she practically leapt out of her skin when the voice of Echo spoke up beside her.

"Shit dude, you can't sneak up on people like that," Waverley exclaimed despite the fact that Echo had done everything in his power to slip seamlessly into their conversation. She let out a huff and shot one more glance over at Max, finding that the only evil deed he was doing was cleaning. She turned her attention back to Echo, not stepping away from Sunshine and Zarina, but lowering her voice when she spoke in case they wanted to continue talking without her. "Wow, that sounds like...a lot. Um...I could try? That's a lot of space to cover, and it'd be super hard to feel everything the soundwaves bounced against. Especially since I don't even know what the bomb feels like. It'd be like trying to find Waldo without ever being told what Waldo looks like."

Max was surprised to hear Doctor Strange call him one of his students. The words catching in his throat with a bit of pride as he read the expressions on Strange's face, becoming tongue-tied. There was a grin that began to eat away at the corner of his lips that he fought to choke down as he didn't want to waste anymore of Doctor Strange's time. "Oh, uh, no Doctor Strange, uh Master, um, Sorry for the interruption but thank you for the book. I'll leave you be now/" Max quickly closed the door behind him, resting his back against the dark wooden door as his breathing quickened while he tried to catch his breath. "He called me his student. Oh my god He called me his student." Excitement bubbled up inside of him as he recalled the feeling of pride he swore he noticed in Strange's face and tone. He wanted to run to his room and begin to read the book on demons, see what this Chthon was, but then he remembered how it was in a mixed language and his shoulders slightly deflated. He closed his eyes, conviction inside of him as he wanted to try and make Doctor Strange proud. Max turned to face the dark wooden door as he opened his eyes and the magic began to swirl more intensely than ever. The powers swirled about his entire body as it began to coalesce into a small orb between his hands and he shot it forward through the closed door. There was a massive eruption as his powers expanded and flowed throughout the Undergrounds building, sweeping through those within the building, stopping short at the walls and never leaving the inside of the compound.

Max could feel his magic working behind the door, strands of magic weaving betwixt each other as they formed the room within his mind into reality. Nervousness filled him to the brim as his hand trembled, the swirls of magic still bending and weaving around him as he reached for the door handle and clicked it open. Inside he saw everything he wanted. A state of the art training room, replicating the one he was able to use back at the Hellfire Club but with a cosmetic change. The walls were all dark wood, mirroring the aesthetic of dark academia which he assumed was what Strange's compound looked like. The walls could open and reveal weapons to use and practice, targeting lasers that would drop down from the ceiling, pop out of the walls and floors, working much in the way of laser tag so that James wouldn't be working overtime. There was a large crystal chandelier in the center that could project holograms of enemies, buildings, or anything that could help them to create realistic fights and simulations. It was in ever sense of the word...perfect. Pride was certainly what he was now feeling as tears began to well up inside of him.

Almost instinctually the magic that spiraled around him and began to create a new outfit for him. As if to tell him that he truly was a student of Doctor Strange, and to be proud of the work that he had just done here. The clothes was a mixture of what he saw Strange wear as well as what Max imagined a student might wear. Changing the color to his go to yellow, similar to his coat he had worn back when he first joined the Mutant Underground. Max wiped the tears that were clinging to his lashes, making his way back out towards the room that he had created the hallway in. He tried to test his luck once more, wanting to create new furnishings for the Mutant Underground, unfortunately all he managed was one set consisting of comforters, sheets, and pillow cases. The magic that had been around him finally fizzled and swept away. "Well...that figures."

Harry had mainly been focusing on what Waverly would say or how she would react. Trying not to listen in to the conversations that were happening around him. That is until Sunshine had mentioned bringing people back from the dead. Instantly he froze up, his eyes growing slightly as he recalled the day he met Max. The day he offered to resurrect Waverly's mom. It was such a thin line to cross, such a powerful thing to even ask of someone. No one knew how that would play out or what the consequences would be of bringing back someone from the dead. Would they recall their time there? Would they even still be the same? Do they have memories of their death? Most importantly how do they choose who gets to live and who stays dead? He could still hear Max's screams and the look of pain when he found out about his friends passing. He could see the pain in Waverly's eyes clearly in his mind. It wasn't until Waverly got startled and then Callie spoke up that he was able to snap back out of his mind and into the conversation being had. "Yeah...right. That might actually be a better idea. I can't exactly use my powers in that way sadly. Never focused on those waves, its simpler for me to use the other end of the spectrum. Changing things into the Rays you see me use in the field."

He placed a confident hand on Waverly's shoulder as he offered her a reassuring smile. "Im certain if anyone can find what we need in these radio waves it'll be you. Best of luck, really wish that I was able to help more." He let his arm fall to his side as he was about to head towards Max to grab him by Callie's request when suddenly waves of black, pink, blue, and purple particles began to wash over him. Specks of white peppering the air as if a galaxy has just been expanded across him and he immediately felt concern for what just may of happened. Harry didn't like to think of people as fuck ups, but he knew based on stories Max's reputation. If this was any indicator of something bad then it would be really bad based on the size of the blast. "Alright well I think that's my cue to go and grab Max for our planning stage." He ran towards the room that he saw him walk into, seeing nothing having been blown up or on fire. If anything he was confused as to why he was holding a bedset in his arms. [color=E610B8}"Hey kid, we were about to hold a meeting to come up with a plan but uh...what were you doing just now? When did you change clothes?"[/color]

Max looked at Harry a bit startled by the sudden entrance. "Oh, I was just making a training room for us like what I'd mentioned before. Sorry for the spectacle it took a lot of magic to create it and it had to have room to grow as needed." Max placed the sheets onto the floor, giving Harry a twirl as the long strips of fabric flew up and danced around him with the motion. "Like it? I just paid Doctor Strange a visit and he said I was one of his students so I figured wearing the garb was a bit needed. They're surprisingly comfortable." Harry just nodded, glad to see that Max was on their side as the memories came back of what he had done when they first met. "Right, well lets go ahead with the meeting first and then maybe after you can show us this room you built. Im actually real excited to see it."

Andy didn't know what to think of Glimpse leaving. She understood why. But she barely knew her and didn't have much feeling on the situation. What she did know was the group had suffered some losses recently and losing someone else, even though it wasn't to death, had to be a hard blow. She also hadn't decided if she would stay with the group. Andy wasn't the type to stay in one place too long. She didn't want to overstay her welcome, or more importantly become attached to someone and watch them get burned to death. She had had enough of that.

She stayed quiet in Veil's invisibility bubble. The SHIELD agents were coming and the group was in a tight bind. They had to get out of the sewers fast. She looked up at Veil waiting for directions. Nervousness tingling her limbs as she felt the fight or flight reflex struggle to decide. Only prey froze for too long. She thought of a deer caught in the headlights of a vehicle and knew their group was in much the same predicament.

Sapphire was still more or less glaring at Glimpse, since she still did not like her at all. Then again, Glimpse had never given her a reason to not hate her. The one person that she did feel bad for in this entire situation was Veil, since she kind of was being put in a bad position with regards to what to do about Glimpse. Since the one thing she did know was that sometimes her friend didn't really like turning people away unless she absolutely had to. She had given her own opinions on what to do, since personally Sapphire didn't see a way for Glimpse to stick around with them after that, at least not for a while anyway.

She could tell that the words that came out of Veil's mouth weren't easy for her to say, but she figured that since Glimpse wouldn't listen to everyone else hopefully she'd just go along with Veil's words. Thankfully there wasn't much of an argument with regards to Glimpse leaving. Sapphire did feel a bit bad about Glimpse having to take off and be on the run for probably the rest of her life or something, but she didn't say anything to her as she left and her attention turned back to their problem. She was curious about what it was that Veil was having to deal with now, but considering the fact that the SHIELD agents were starting to get a little too close for comfort, she was keeping quiet and just following along after her.

Skills: Technopathy

Zari looked over at Callie and actually looked incredibly annoyed. "My powers are not some glorified phone for you to use to make phone calls with whenever you want to!" she snapped at her instantly. That was not something she tended to use her powers for, making freaking phone calls, seriously the nerve of some people. If they couldn't get this Professor X person to answer the phone by normal means, how the hell was she supposed to be able to by using her powers? Plus that had to be one of the dumbest and most annoying ways to potentially use her powers.

Jack rolled his eyes slightly at his brother when he left, before looking at Sunshine to answer her question. "Some mental illnesses can be hereditary, just depends on what it is, but odds are you'll be fine, and no, I don't think you are crazy," he said to her, not sure what else to say about. Though his attention was pulled away slightly from Zari's outburst, and he wasn't all too sure what to say in response to what she had just snapped about. There was too much drama that surrounded the Underground, that much was obvious, and sometimes he wondered if the world they lived in was just a soap opera for someone else or whatever.

"I don't have to do anything!" she added, before she whirled around a stormed a little ways away from where everyone else was now gathered, Mr. Eyeball was more or less just floating along after her as she went away. The nerve of some people. Hell, why was someone wanting her to pull phone duty when she probably could hack into sensors or something and probably help locate, oh maybe the actual explosive. But no. People wanted her to just sit there trying to call someone who was probably different in this reality then in her home one. Some people are total idiots.

When Callie said that they needed to get James and Casper back into the room, he couldn't help but shake his head slightly, since from what he could tell based on how they had gone off, walking in on them at the moment would be a bad idea. "Not sure if my brother in all honesty would be helpful for this situation, but not sure if going up there and maybe interrupting those two would be a good idea, you would have been better off catching them before they left... Not exactly now after they have already gone." he said to her.

She was off by herself now and sitting on the ground. Mr. Eyeball was just floating by her, beeping at her a bit. "You are not helping at all Mr. Eyeball..." she grumbled a bit as the robot started poking her a bit.

"01011001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01101111 01110110 01100101 01110010 01110010 01100101 01100001 01100011 01110100 01100101 01100100 00100000 01100001 00100000 01101100 01101001 01110100 01110100 01101100 01100101..." the eye beeped at her.

"No I didn't!"

"01011001 01100101 01110011 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01100100 01101001 01100100 00101100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01100100 01101001 01100100 01101110 00100111 01110100 00100000 01101110 01100101 01100101 01100100 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01110011 01101110 01100001 01110000 00100000 01100001 01110100 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 01101101 00100000 01101100 01101001 01101011 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100001 01110100 00101110 00100000."

"I didn't overreact! I just want people to stop it or whatever, stop treating me like I can't do anything or try to have me do something that is insanely stupid and actually help. That is not helping since they had tried calling him before hand and didn't get anyone to really answer!"

"01011010 01100001 01110010 01101001 00101110 00101110 00101110..."

Veil

Location: Morlock Tunnels
Skills: Invisible Energy Manipulation, Leadership
Veil couldn't help but be surprised at how surprisingly well connected Kristina was. Did Kristina's sister know that she was a mutant? Was her sister one as well? S.H.I.E.L.D. agents tended to be neutral towards mutants at best in Veil's experience. So many of them had been part of O.M.E.N. before it disbanded and it wasn't easy for them to unlearn so much hatred and prejudice. She bit her lip slightly, thinking through the pros and cons of having Kristina try. "If you trust her, then sure - just don't incriminate yourself or anyone else," Veil instructed. Her heart ached as Glimpse said goodbye and just like that, the speedster was gone. All that was left of her really were the echoes of her words taunting the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Unbeknownst to Veil, only half of them had gone after Glimpse. The other half were still hot on the heels of the Mutant Underground. While Veil had them all cloaked, it didn't stop the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents from firing bullets. They were using silencers so Veil didn't hear them in time to throw up a force field. One bullet hit Havok in the shoulder. Another grazed Sapphire's cheek. Veil was missed entirely. One grazed Andy's neck. And the last shot hit Kristina in the chest, fatally wounding her. They needed to get her medical attention ASAP or she'd bleed to death. They had seconds, maybe minutes, at best.

Veil threw up a force field, protecting them from any further attacks. Havok caught Kristina before she fell to the ground, her blood soaking through her shirt rapidly. "Sapphire, do something!" Havok shouted. They didn't have a teleporter on hand - but they had a doctor. They didn't have James there to heal her. More bullets were coming at them, bouncing off of Veil's force field - but each impact drained her powers a little more. She wouldn't be able to keep this up forever.

"Kid, take my phone from my pocket and call the number saved as Spark Plug. Tell her to have Warlock get here ASAP and bring Caduceus," Veil instructed Andy. She didn't dare turn her concentration from the shield just to make a phone call. She also wasn't about to use anyone's real name in front of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Her invisibility and force fields didn't prevent sound from traveling after all.

Sunshine

Location: Mutant Underground: Entranceway
Skills:
Sunshine frowned, not really understanding what Spark Plug was saying. She didn't even really know what terrigen was. Sure, she knew about M-Pox and all, but she didn't know that she had pulled terrigen crystals out of Max earlier that day. "What do you mean, a bomb?" Sunshine asked. She couldn't help but be a little irritated that this hadn't really been brought up sooner - or maybe it had been and she had just been a little bit distracted. An idea then occurred to her, since from context clues it seemed that the X-Men weren't answering their calls. She didn't like her idea. She didn't like it at all. But bombs were bad... bad enough to maybe do something crazy.

There was another group of mutants who might not like a bomb being blown up - assuming that they weren't the ones behind it. She let out a little growl of frustration, feeling like she was about to puke or something, but she had to mention the idea. "If they're not the ones behind it... Maybe we can ask Max's old friends to help. They probably don't want this terri-whatever bomb to go off either," she suggested. "Also, the PowerPuff Girl should see if she can find the thing, since it sounds like tech and I'm guessing that's her deal with the little robot things that follow her around."

James & Casper

Location: Casper and James’ room
Skills: Summoning: Ben

When James pulled away from the kisses, Casper had thought it was time to get undressed. He clearly had read things wrong though, when his boyfriend looked more upset and emotional than horny. Casper stared into James' brown eyes, memorizing the way they reflected the light. He put his arms around James, holding him tightly, trying to communicate to him that he was safe - that nothing bad was going to happen to them - that despite everything horrible and fucked up in the world, they were the one thing that could outlast anything.

Casper's own eyes were glistening and as James explained that he loved him, he couldn't help but cry. It wasn't that no one had ever told him that before - his maman had all the time - but knowing that James, sweet, special, perfect James could love a piece of sexy trash like him... "Babes, you complete me," Casper said, his voice shaky as he blinked back the tears, but they didn't stop. "You're the first relationship I've ever had that wasn't just because I was tired of couch surfing and wanted a real bed for a few weeks. You're beautiful and amazing and perfect - like Hercules in the Disney movie," Casper confessed, pressing a kiss to James' forehead. "We don't have to stay here. We can leave, take Jackie and everyone to New Orleans, Maman won't mind... I love you so much, and when I think about it, it's like my heart stops beating... And I know what that feels like, because I OD'd once and my heart stopped in the ambulance on the way to the hospital."

As soon as Casper's tears started, James felt his eyes watering. He couldn't help the laughter that escaped along side them and buried his face in Casper's shoulder. Only this man could make an OD story fit into something so heartfelt and genuine but that was another thing he loved about Casper. Running away from it all sounded amazing;getting everyone far away from the danger where they didn't have to worry about the Hellfire club or the X-Men and their insane demands or a fucking bomb was a dream come true. James wanted it so badly, so so badly, he could already imagine him and Casper in their own home with a little one running around and Jack and Sunshine and Max and everyone else cooing over their kid. But he couldn't right now.

"You can't imagine how badly I want that. How badly I'd love to whisk you and everyone away so nothing bad could happen." James whispered between giving Casper long, gentle kisses. "But I can't. You know these idiots won't run away from this. They'll go running straight into this mess with death on their heels and I would feel so guilty if I wasn't there with them. I have to help with this but after, I want to leave with you. We'll take whoever wants to come, I'll leave notes on how to maintain the place, and we start a new life. We make a home together, start a family together, grow old together, because you're it for me. Sound like a plan?"

Casper nodded - James was heroic and selfless. It was one of the things he loved about him. He was one of the few people he'd ever met with powers who really truly cared about whether others lived or died, human or mutant - he was more Captain America-y than Captain America. "I'll follow you to the front lines, babes - you know I will," Casper said, his voice cracking slightly. "Just promise me we'll come back in one piece. I... I lost Ben a long time ago and he became a complete and total nag as a ghost, I don't want that to happen to you too," Casper sniffled. "I don't want you to feel cold and be filled with holes."

"Hey!" Ben protested.

James' heartbroken a little when Casper's voice cracked. This man had been through so much and here James was, asking him to wait just a little longer. "I promise, babes. We'll make it back together and we'll live happily ever after." He hoped to God he could keep that promise but in that moment, he knew he'd do everything he could to keep Casper happy. Even if he had to pull himself together piece by piece, he'd do it for this man. "At least you don't have to worry about hole. Turns out I'm bulletproo--" A yawn cut James off and he relaxed into Casper's hold. Now that all his emotions were out for Casper to see, the need for sleep was catching up to him.

"Cuddle times?" James suggested with another yawn.

Casper cheered up slightly - not because of James' announcement that he was bulletproof, but more of the way he yawned like a kitten and then relaxed. As much as he liked to see James' muscles tensed, he preferred him like this - loose and relaxed. "If that's what the doctor orders, then cuddle times it is," Casper said, before picking up James. In what would be a surprise to no one, Casper's little noodle arms could barely pick up a medium sized dog, so a full grown man was a bit out of range. James slipped from his grip, only to be caught...

...by Ben! Ben was outlined in an eerie blue glow, the same eerie blue emanating from Casper's eyes. "Hey James," Ben said casually.

James yelped at the unexpected movement, scrambling to hold onto Casper even as his boyfriend wobbled with him. Casper had not attempted this and James, had he some warning, would have suggested against it but instead he shut his eyes and braced for the inevitable impact with the floor. He kept his eyes shut for a few moments but the pain never came so he slowly peaked one eye open, confused.

James jolted a little at the sight of Ben. Ben just showing up sometimes was still a foriegn experience, mostly because he’d only ever seen it happen once when Ben decided to slap the shit out of Casper. “Hey, man. Thanks for the save!” He laughed, righting himself and planting his feet firmly on the ground. “You two been practicing in secret or have you just figured out how to do it without Casper jumping out of his body?”

"Hey Ben, how about you put my boyfriend down, because I'm not in control of making you a real boy?" Casper suggested nervously. His arms were shaking, not from fear, but from stress. His eyes still had that strange blue glow to them as Ben easily set James down on the bed. Even in death, he was way stronger than Casper ever could have been. He didn't even have to cheat and use the tentacles to grab things.

"It's not me," Ben said, holding his hands up like proclaiming innocence.

"...Huh, maybe the old man was right," Casper thought for a moment, getting a bit of a hollow, chilly look on his face. "He always said I'd never scratched the surface of what I'm capable of... Anyways, Ben, go shoo, I want to snuggle and/or bone my boyfriend now."

"Seriously? You two need to go deal with the bomb - or at least warn everyone what's going to happen!"

"Neither of you are in control of this?" James asked after Ben plopped him on the bed. He sat up and waved Ben concerns off. "We had a whole team there who heard about it. No one will do anything until Veil returns anyways and I'm running on fumes after today. As it is right now, I'm not sure I can close a paper cut, much less a lost limb. Fuck, I couldn't even heal a bullet hole. If I'm going to be of any use, I have to get some rest dude." James sighed and gave Casper a worried

Based on what he saw in the van, it must be an instinctual response to Casper's emotions. Ben did appear helping James. Maybe because Casper was afraid of him falling, he manifested Ben to keep it from happening. "Are you able to shut it off? I don't want you popping out of your body and getting stuck again."

Ben sighed, before nodding. "Yeah, you do look like shit," he agreed. Every instinct in his body was telling him that it was time to rush off and save the day - but that was the problem with being dead. You couldn't change. You stayed exactly as you were when you were alive, even if it meant making the same mistakes over and over again, the very ones that got you killed.

"I don't think so?" Casper said, shrugging. "Maybe you're the one doing this, James? You're bullet proof, maybe you also can coax dead nags out of the void and into the real world too now," Casper suggested. "Or maybe it is me and I just never knew that I could do some cool shit because I've been too high usually to notice or too scared of ghosts, which is kinda funny given that my name is Casper, like Casper the friendly ghost, and my best friend is a ghost, so you'd think I wouldn't be scared of them but I swear most of them act like that girl from the Ring and freak me the fuck out...."

"Trust me, I feel like it too." James chuckled at Ben's blunt observation. If he looked even half the way he felt he did, he probably looked like death reheated a few times. "Honey, it's okay you're scared of ghosts. They're fuckonf creepy, no offense Ben you're chill, but how about you come over here and we just relax for a bit until you calm down? I don't think my bulletproofness has anything to do with your glowing eyes. I think it might just be a reaction you have when you're having a really strong feeling about something and you manifest Ben so he can help you out so if I'm right, I just got to distract you a little until it disappears and I can think of at least one good way we can get distracted." He held his hand out for Casper to join him.

"Wait, my eyes are glowing???" Casper exclaimed. "Please tell me they're not red. All the crazy evil people have glowing red eyes. Like I half expect Max's to start glowing red the next time he goes on a murder spree," Casper rambled. Ben was more or less standing to the side, rolling his eyes.

"They're blue, relax," Ben informed him.

"Oh... Good? Does it look cool? Or bad? Is it glowing glowing or are they just a weird shade? Does it look like I have pink eye, but blue?" he asked, before remembering what James had suggested and he sat down on the bed, before lying down and spooning James, holding him in his arms.

“They look cool babes, cooler than cool. Ice cold even.” James giggled, sighing appreciatively as Casper snuggled up behind him. He melted into the warmth behind him. He stifled a yawn and felt his eyes begin to droop. It’d been a long day and he was ready for it to be over soon. “Love you, Casper.” James whispered before dozing off, safe in his boyfriend’s arms.

"Ice, ice, baby," Casper mumbled into James' neck. "I love you more."

Callie Johnson

Location: On the Road Again
Skills: N/A

Callie looked at Zari for a moment as the girl suddenly turned on her and snapped, she closed her eyes slightly and let out a slight sigh as Zari stormed off somewhere else. "Just break up their love fest, it's not really a time to fuck like bunnies right now with a bomb out there somewhere." Callie said to Jack, she was more or less just focused on trying to find the bomb and make sure that every mutant in the DC area would be safe from the bomb.

"It happened while we were trying to find you and Max, but instead we bumped into someone else at the club which was a trap basically, saying if the X-men dont surrender he's going to detonate the bomb somewhere in DC." Callie answered Sunshine sighing slightly as she went and sat down. "Could you try and ask Zari to search for the bomb instead?" Callie asked Sunshine, she had a feeling that Zari didnt really want to deal with her again right now.

Kristina Smith

Location: Washington DC, Sewers
Skills: N/A

"I trust her completely." Kristina said softly to Veil, as she turned to watch Glimpse running off in the opposite direction as she started to pull out her phone and was pulling out her contacts. "She's also a mut-" Kris was cut off when she felt a searing pain going through her chest, she slowly looked down as she saw blood seeping through her shirt rather quickly and started to feel dizzy.

She lost her balance completely she was luckily caught by Havok before she hit the ground, she was still holding her phone in her hand still holding onto it as tightly as she could, while her other hand was pressed against the bullet wound to try and stop the bleeding. Everything started to sound a bit muffled to her and blurry as she did her best to try and keep herself focused.

Waverley's small, skeptic frown shifted into a soft smile as Echo placed a gentle hand upon her bony shoulder and offered his words of reassurance. She gave a small nod, muttering a quiet, "Thank you," before watching the young man slip away after Max. She turned her attention back toward Sunshine, Zarina, and now Callie just as the youngest among them spat with hostility in her voice at the oldest. Waverley furrowed her brow in concern, watching Zarina storm away, feeling a little sorry for the girl. She shifted her eyes to look at Callie, chewing down on her bottom lip a little in thought.

"Actually...maybe Sunshine could find it. It sounds kinda farfetched, but it might work. A bomb that releases disease-causing smoke...I mean, disease-causing smoke is kinda Sunshine's whole deal. It's worth a shot, if she's up for it," Waverley suggested giving a little shrug to Sunshine, as if to offer the idea to her to do with it what she will. She then looked back to Callie with a small smile. "I, for one, do not mind being the Underground's glorified phone. Kinda why I joined, actually. I'll see if I can connect to the Professor's phone," she volunteered cheerily, before quickly letting her eyes fall shut.

She allowed her mind to stretch out of her skull, g along the waves that she'd come to recognize as a sort of second language. She did her best to bring to mind the path the waves had taken when they first tried calling him, but having not committed them to memory, she got lost rather quickly. She returned to her starting point and tried a few more times, but it was only a matter of seconds before she lost any traces of it again. She let out a deep sigh, keeping her eyes closed even as she reached out tried to tap Callie, only to find she wasn't where she'd previously been standing.

"Uh, Callie? You still there? If you are, can you call him again? Having some waves to ride'll be easier than just winging it."

Echo

Location: Mutant UndergroundSkills: .

Max turned on his heel and followed out behind Echo until he reached the doorway. He stopped to think as an idea had rushed into his head. They were always running into danger and the training room was made to test one's skills and push them past their usual boundaries, so it stood to reason soon someone would get hurt. "Give me a moment I want to try something real quick" Max held his hands to his sides and then pushed forwards, attempting to have his magic reach the entirety of the room and turn it into a new infirmary. Stainless steel beds, sink for washing and sanitizing their hands, cabinets full of necessary chemicals and suppiles, and most importantly he focused on travel kits for the field. He thought about a nice vintage Swiss medics bag, full of supplies like magnetic tweezers for pulling out shrapnel, gauze for bleeding, tape, anything he could imagine.

His magic whirled out and only centered itself in the floor before him. The room remained barren but clean, and all he managed to create was a two Fisher Price Swiss Doctors bags. Max let out a nervous chuckle as he watched the items formed. Realizing it hadn't gone how he wanted. Echo interjected as he saw what was transpiring and tried to corral Max off the idea. "Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day and you can't fix this old building in an evening. Let's get back towards the meeting and we can work on this room after the fact ok?" Echo started to walk back towards Callie, only making it two steps in before he noticed he couldn't hear Max following. As he turned to see him, there was an intense concentration on his face, as if he was trying to prove something to someone.

Max rolled his shoulders and shook his arms in an attempt to loosen himself up. There was a quiet exhale that echoed in the empty room. He pushed his magic out again, focusing on changing the items within the bags, as well as the bags, into actual useful items. After a bit of struggling he managed to get a thermometer and syringe to change into their real counterparts. What they could do with that he had no idea, but it was a start. "Man I must be more worn out than I thought. I guess creating an entire new space that wasn't there before and outfitting it with gear is more straining than I gave it credit for." There was a slight hint of defeat to his voice. Like he didn't feel accomplished enough having done the one really good thing.

"Thats a lot of work I imagine. It's not easy doing what you just did, and anyone would be tired after having completed that." Granted Echo had no idea how true that was. He knew little to nothing about the mutants power or how extensive the exhaustion would be for the task. But if anything is said with confidence it can be believed. He began to walk once more, waving for Max to follow along. "Alright I mean it this time, we gotta go." It was hard watching someone fail when they try so hard. Seeing defeat in someone's eyes when they have the potential to be great. Max just needed a little push...but after the meeting.

Max let out a harsh sigh as he walked through the doorframe and mumbled under his breath. "Wanda could create an entire reality and she never got tired." He finally answered with with a whiny tone. "Fiiiine. Not like anyone wants me there anyway but I'll go." As soon as he crossed the threshold Max whipped around and tried one last time in a quick motion. A bag was finally formed, vintage leather, drop out front, beautiful straps, and...Jacks face? Oh his ears burned red with anger and embarrassment as he uttered a single word and flourished his hand lighting the bag ablaze. But the fire wasn't strong enough to burn away the face nor destroy the nag itself.

Echo wanted to remark on what Max had said about Wanda. He didn't know anything about her making a new reality besides what he'd heard. Having no memory of that world of having been apart of it. Though he supposed at the time he was already living his happiest life, so the change would've been minor. However before he had the change to speak up, Max had conjured a bag and then quickly lit it aflame. Panic seared through Echos mind as he raced towards the bag, waving his sleeves at it in an attempt to put out the fire. But the loose fabric only caught into the burning bag and lit his shirt along with it. Echo screamed out in panic as he spastically pulled off his shirt and threw it down as he watched the fabrics burn away. "My Prada..."

Sadly he would have to mourn the loss of such an item later. He ran towards the bag, placing his rollerblade clips on and gripping the bags handle. He skated in a large circle to gain momento and speed as he finally closed in and twirled in the center in the hopes the wind would rush out the fire. The force must've been to strong for thr vintage burned bag as the strap ripped at the hinge and flew directly towards Maxs face. Now Max was face to face with the Jack on the bag, the sound of leather thudding against his nose as it knocked him back and the bag fell to his feet.

Max immediately backed away as he rubbed on his face in pain. "What the hell?! The hurt"

"That could burn the whole building down and we're Underground! I was trying to put it out."

The world slowed down as it does sometimes when Andy was in a fight. Jamie was the one who had identified the secondary power for Andy. Explained what was happening. She was used to hand-to-hand combat, not guns. Not that she hadn't been shot at before. But bullets were so much faster. She moved, just slightly, just enough and the bullet grazed her. If she hadn't, she'd be dead.

Next to her Stareyes lacked the reflexes. She was on the ground. In the sewer. Bleeding out. Veil told Andy to grab her phone, which she did. She found the contact. That was easy enough. And pressed the call button. The phone rang. Then clicked as Spark Plug answered.

"Get Warlock and Cadacus to our location immediately." She said quickly. Her words almost running together. Stareyes was one of the people who joined at the same time as her. They'd only been with the group...less than twenty-four hours. Andy had seen one other die in almost the same way at the college. The bullet wound was in a slightly different place, but it was like that first meeting with the group was replaying. If Stareyes bled out restarting her heart wouldn't help any. If Andy even could. She had never tried to use her power to get someone's heart beating again.

Havok's words echoed in her ears, and despite the chaos around them, her ears were ringing and time seemed to almost slow down as her mind remembered a similar scenario to this one, except they hadn't been in the sewers or anything, no, they had been up above in an open university campus, and that bullet had hit someone in the neck. It had it Cayden, and she remembered the chaos that had happened then, and how she had failed to save his life, failed at it and he had died in her arms despite what she had tried to do. She had done everything that she could in the moment, and he had still ended up dying.

She wasn't sure if she could save Kris' life.

Trying to take a deep breath and remain as calm as possible, she instantly went over and tried to assess the damage, but everything in her brain was yelling at her that she couldn't do it. That she couldn't save anyone, and it would be obvious to just about everyone who knew her just by looking at her face that she was panicking and trying to remain calm but failing at it. Before Cayden's death, she had been more shut off, had an easier time remaining calm and figuring out the solutions, but now? "We shouldn't try moving her. At least not until that injury is dealt with somewhat... A-A-And even if those two end up on their way, the odds of them finding us down here is fairly slim... I don't know if I can do anything," she managed to say, only stuttering slightly as she spoke. They were running out of time, and if they didn't move, the SHIELD agents would catch up, and Kris would bleed out.

There was one thing that was kind of an attempt at a miracle. She wasn't sure if it would work, hell it only ever really seemed to work in the movies and that wasn't something that she'd like to base everything off of. This was insane, this was really really insane. Problem was... She didn't really have a choice. "I'm going to try something... Stareyes listen to me carefully, you are probably going to feel insanely cold, and not really be able to move... But we're out of options and we need to get you out of here, okay?" she said to her, before she stepped away and looked at Havok, "I need you to lay her on the ground and step back."

"Hey, you got this, superstar," Havok told her, before setting Kris down gently and stepping backwards.

That slight comment actually managed to get her to crack a smile slightly, it was there for a minute, and actually sort of calmed her slightly, it was more then a bit strange, but nevertheless she had something she was about to do that if it ended poorly it would likely end with Kris' death. "If you say so, but whatever you do, don't call me superstar ever again got it?" she said to him, before taking a bit of a deep breath as frost started emanating from her hands.

And she directed the frost directly at Kris.

The air would seemingly freeze, getting colder by the second as the wave of ice and cold engulfed Kris entirely. Sapphire wasn't even really paying much attention to what was going on around her. Eventually, the frost disappeared and Kris was now cryogenically frozen, at least Sapphire hoped she had accomplished that, given the fact that her mind was now completely out the window. There were little bits of ice that stuck to her fingertips as she lowered her hands and her nose started bleeding. "...I think that worked," she said in a bit of a sing song sort of voice before she stumbled and fell backwards, her head was spinning horribly as she ended up falling to the ground.

Location: the Mutant Underground
Skills: Technopathy

"Do I have to be the one to do it? You have no idea how many times I walked in on him growing up, kind of scars you for life if you ask me," he said instantly to Callie with a bit of an eye roll. Walking in on his brother was probably the last thing he wanted to do, ever. The fact that despite what he was saying, Callie didn't seem to get that was a bit annoying. If she wanted them back in the room so badly she could have gone up to their room and knocked on the door. But no, instead she's kind of just ordering people around a bit instead of trying to find better solutions, and she kind of just insulted the kid apparently, so he wasn't sure what to say.

"You know what, fine, but next time you get to be the one to do it," he said to Callie, clearly sounding a bit annoyed with her before he headed up to where Casper and James' room was. Taking a bit of a deep breath, Jack more or less pounded a bit on the door to get their attention, "Was told to get you both downstairs so how about you two stop whatever you are doing and get back to the main area," he said through the door, not opening it or anything to see if they were coming, nope he was not going to do that, and instead heading back to where everyone else was.

Zari was still off by herself, and now was more or less just sitting there bored. She didn't want to talk about some bomb, even though she probably could track it rather easily if she tried to. Nope, not since Callie more or less just wanted her to be a glorified cell phone or something. Her powers were stronger then that! Why would someone want to have her do something that a normal cell phone or other piece of technology could accomplish? It really was sort of insulting to her, but she glanced over at her floating eyeball friend and spoke, "Maybe I should go back home..." she muttered slightly.

"01011010 01100001 01110010 01101001 00101100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01100001 01110010 01100101 00100000 01100100 01101111 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101111 01100100 00101100 00100000 01100001 01101110 01100100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01101000 01100001 01110110 01100101 00100000 01100001 00100000 01101010 01101111 01100010 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01100100 01101111 00101110" came the Eyeball's response.

"I know... It's just... I miss home..." Zari responded to the eye, she was trying somewhat not to cry, since in all honesty she really wanted to go home, but knew that at the moment she couldn't. She had a job to do that she couldn't just walk away from. So she decided to try doing what it was she always did if she was away from home and felt home sick like this, sing a little song that she had always loved growing up that talked about the world tree. "Ask veit ek standa, heitir Yggdrasill, hár baðmr, ausinn, hvíta auri; þaðan koma döggvar, þærs í dala falla; stendr æ yfir grœnn, Urðar brunni," she sang somewhat softly to herself, just sort of poking at the ground by her feet.

Veil

Location: Morlock Tunnels
Skills: Invisible Energy Manipulation
Veil hadn't known what to expect when they took on this mission, but this certainly wasn't it. Stareyes was a human popsicle - and if they were lucky, she was still alive. Havok had dashed towards the ground, cradling Sapphire in his arms. Veil had only ever seen Havok so protective over on other person before - Polaris. Yet before Veil could even ask if Sapphire was okay, she felt a gigantic force crash up against her force field. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had used a rocket launcher. The impact against her force field sent Veil flying, as everyone became visible and unprotected against the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Veil hit her head against the wall of the sewer, her skull cracking and blood soaking through her hair. She blinked her eyes, groggy but aware. This was all going horribly wrong. It was like they had angered some fundamental force of nature. She should've never accepted this job. Everyone was going to die or worse, be captured, and she'd be the only one to blame. She had been the one to make the choice to take the cures from Quicksilver. She lifted her hand, trying to create a shield to protect the others, but she couldn't do it. Her shields kept flickering in and out of existence.

"Damn it, Veil!" Havok cried out. He gently set Sapphire down on the ground. Bullets were flying through the air, miraculously not hitting them. Havok didn't have time to think on a strategy. He didn't have time to consider the repercussions. He let loose one of his hula-hoops of death, the golden ring of energy slicing through the air, curving upwards and colliding with the ceiling above the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

It happened almost in slow motion. The ceiling of the sewer collapsed, crushing the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in rubble. Some cars from the street up above fell through the cracks, their anti-theft alarms blaring. The ceiling up above the Mutant Underground group was shaking, cracks beginning to form, but still in tact somehow.

And then, it collapsed all at once, burying everyone alive.

At the last second, Veil managed to throw up a force field, forming a bubble around the group. The rocks hit her force field and slid to the side, and that was the last glimpse they'd have of Veil, as they were separated from her.

"VEIL?!" Havok shouted, his voice echoing around him. They were trapped.

Sunshine

Location: Mutant Underground: Entranceway
Skills: People Reading
Sunshine raised an eyebrow at Spark Plug, not really understanding why she was being sent off to deal with Zari. She hardly knew her. But she wasn't going to argue the point, not when there was a massive bomb that could go off, although she still didn't know what terrigen was. She had to guess that it was poison. Maybe the humans could've helped them, but there was no way they'd believe them. Stupid flatscans. "Fine, but I still don't know what this bomb is," Sunshine reminded Spark Plug, before glancing around to see where Zari had gone off to.

She paused in her tracks though, as Waverley explained what the bomb was. It wasn't explosives. It was... disease? Her heart started pounding, realizing that what everyone was so afraid was... her. It was a bomb that could do everything she could. Were they all afraid of her? Mutants weren't supposed to be afraid of each other. They were supposed to be accepted. Did they know she wouldn't hurt them... well, not much anyways? "I don't even know how I'd do that," Sunshine admitted. "Like, I only control diseases that I cause, well except for--" but then she cut herself off. She didn't want to talk about what happened with Max.

Sunshine then abruptly went and walked over to Zari. She stared at the girl for a moment, seeing the look on her face that some of the kids in juvi had had. She was lonely and sad. Sunshine didn't want to play babysitter or therapist for her. She didn't like talking about feelings. "There's a bomb. People are going to get really sick. Can you help me find it?" Sunshine asked Zari bluntly. "...Are you sad or something?"

Casper Theriot

Location: Mutant Underground: James and Casper's room
Skills: Mediumship
The blue glow had finally faded from Casper's eyes, Ben returning to his usual invisible state. His heart beat had slowed down to a comfortable rhythm and he was snuggled up into his boyfriend, enjoying the quiet moment of peace. He had spent his entire life looking for things that were noisy and loud and bright and distracting, all in order to get away from the ghosts that haunted his every move. He had become addicted to everything and anything, never maintaining meaningful relationships out of fear or perhaps narcissism. But with James, everything was different. Things could be quiet and calm, without a pack of ghouls screaming for his attention.

He was about to drift off to sleep, only to hear a loud knock at the door. Casper sighed. His brother was such a prude sometimes! They weren't even having sex! They were taking a nap! Casper pulled himself away from James, sitting up in the bed so that way James wouldn't have his ears explode. "Come on, we're just taking a nap, I don't even have the condoms on standby, Jackie!" Casper shouted. "You know, a wise woman once said... My evening is in danger. And that's what's happening here, so I'm rescuing my evening!" Casper then added, referencing Honey from the Incredibles.

"Are you Honey, then?" Ben asked.

"Of course I'm Honey. I'm always Honey!"

Callie Johnson

Location: Mutant Underground -> Casper & James' Room.
Skills: N/A

Callie paused for a moment as she felt her phone going off, and looked down at the screen seeing that it was Veil calling and quickly answered it. She was expecting Veil's voice she wasnt expecting to hear Andy on the other end Andy asking for James and Max right away, she could hear gunshots on the other end going off. "Okay i'm on it, just stay on the line." Callie said, her eyes going wide as she heard what sounded like an explosion going off along with what sounded like a cave in. "If you can hear me stay on the line." Callie said as she quickly turned to Waverly, and handed the phone to her. "Keep talking to them, and if you can use your power and try and get the location, if you can't give it to Zari." Callie said, she didnt waste anytime at all as she quickly went towards.

Callie paused for a moment looking over at Zari and Sunshine. "The others are in trouble, I need you guys ready right now." Callie said as she headed up stairs and stopped for a moment staring at Max and Echo and it looked like they were screwing around with a leather bag with Jack's face on it. "If you guys are done trying to burn Jack's face, I need you Max to use your witchy powers to make a portal or something I have Waverly working on the location, the others they are in trouble right now." Callie said as she bolted down towards James' and Casper's room and opened the door staring at James and Casper for a moment. "James the others need you right away so hurry up and get down stairs expect some injuries to." Callie told them before heading back down stairs.

Kristina Smith

Location: Washington DC, Sewers
Skills: N/A

Kristina started to loose feeling in her limbs as she looked up at Sapphire letting her inspect the injury, she knew that this was really bad. She was feeling really cold and lightheaded to due to the blood loss, as Havok slowly started to lower her down onto the sewer floor she was to weak to move right now as well to.

Kris gave a slight nod to Sapphire, she wasnt sure what she was going to do to try and save her life, other than feeling the intense cold all around her. Kristina slowly closed her eyes as the air around her started to freeze, and encasing her in a block of ice created by Sapphire, as she was put into cryosleep completely unaware of the fighting going on around her between the Underground and the SHIELD agents.
