Thanks for clicking! If you enjoy fantasy, horror, and RPs with occult themes, I hope you'll find something here that catches your eye.

You don't need my life story, but here's the important stuff:

• 30+ years old. You don't need to know exactly how old, so we'll leave it at 30-something.
• "Lazy advanced" writer. Long, in-depth posts are great, and you'll definitely get them with me, but on average I tend to produce about three or four paragraphs unless inspiration strikes or the situation calls for more.
• Slow poster. I can usually get a post out once a week or two, more if you're lucky and/or what we're writing isn't too intensive, less if life is getting in the way.
• Depressed as shit. This affects my ability to post on a regular schedule and occasionally also the quality of my writing. I won't dump any of my emotional bullshit on you, but there will be times you'll need to be patient with me.

I'm usually pretty flexible about things in my RPs but everything in this section is non-negotiable.

• FxAny. Male, female, non-binary—who gives a shit? Let's write! Unless you're hoping there might be romance, in which case I'm looking for a FxM pairing, with you writing the male character and me writing the female character.
• Be willing to play secondary characters. Our main characters have friends, acquaintances, associates, etc., and I'd appreciate it if I wasn't stuck writing all of them.
• Expect to do some planning. Not a lot, but definitely some. I just like to have an idea of where things are going, so our characters have something to work towards rather than have them roam aimlessly until we think of something for them to do.
• Reply regularly-ish. Once a week is more than fine. If you feel inclined to reply quickly, I won't stop you, but I can't promise I could manage more than once a week on my end. Just let me know what to expect if you're an infrequent poster or if you're going to be away for a while, so I'm not left hanging.
• Be active OOC. Communication is important. I'm not looking for us to be best friends or anything, but if I'm trying to plot something or ask for clarity about something you've written and don't get a response, especially if I have to ask a few times, I'm probably going to want to drop things.
• Flexible post length is a must. I generally try aim for at least three paragraphs (and would appreciate the same in return), but there's not much point in padding out two sentences of light dialogue with five paragraphs of fluff. Sometimes less is more.
• Plot before romance and smut. I'll write them, but unless otherwise stated, I don't want the RP revolving around them, especially the latter. I'm also pretty terrible at writing lewd shit and prefer to fade to black in most instances. More on this below.
• Be 18+. I'm not comfortable writing about adult things with someone who isn't yet an adult themselves.
• PMs only. Even if smut doesn't come up, graphic descriptions of substance abuse and/or ultraviolence might, and I'm not sure what the Guild's policy is around RPing those things publicly.

Regarding smut

I'm open to writing smut, but I'm not exactly comfortable writing it. I don't write it very often, and when I do, I tend to focus on the mental/emotional aspects rather than the physical/sexual ones. I'm also not a fan of "quick start" smut, so expect it to be more of a slow-burn thing. If our characters are going to do anything NSFW early on, fading to black is preferred. Fair warning, I'm pretty vanilla, so it's unlikely I'll be into whatever kinks you have. We can discuss limits and such via PMs.

Deal Breakers

We all have our deal-breakers, and these are mine. Please do not ask to RP anything on this list. I will not respond to your message, even if you also ask to RP something I am interested in:

✘ Family-centred RPs. Or anything else that involves looking after children.
✘ Slice of life RPs. Having some slice of life elements is fine, but I'm not interested in exploring the monotony of everyday life.
✘ Highschool/college/university RPs. I'd consider making an exception to a college or university setting if our characters are faculty rather than students, but I still don't want it to be the focal point of the RP.
✘ Futuristic RPs. I like my sci-fi old timey and steam-powered, none of this new-fangled poppycock.
✘ Romance/smut involving furries/beast races. Human or human-adjacent only, please.
✘ Incest or bestiality. Get therapy.

A couple of shortlists of settings and genres I'm interested in RPing. These aren't meant to be comprehensive lists or RP ideas; they're just here to give you a general sense of what I'm looking for in a story should you want to suggest your own ideas.

Settings

• Medieval. I'm a sucker for stereotypical Eurocentric Medieval-era inspired worlds.
• Renaissance. Haven't really had a chance to explore this kind of setting, but I've been thinking it might lend itself well to occult or cosmic horror.
• Victorian. Here's some cocaine for the ghosts in your blood.
• Modern. It has been quite some time since I've been interested in writing anything in a modern setting, and you're unlikely to talk me into it. Sorry.

— DISCLAIMER —

I am very shit at real-world history, and as such, prefer original settings rather than basing things IRL. I do enough homework so that what I'm writing isn't wildly out of place, but if you're expecting any kind of in-depth historical accuracy from me, you're gonna have a bad time.

Genres & Subgenres

• High/Middle/Low. Personal preference is high, but I'm not picky.
• Classic/Epic. Kill the princess, save the dragon.
• Sword and sorcery. Fuck honour and duty, it's all about the money.
• Dark. Life sucks, and there's nothing you can do about it.
• Urban. Hickory dickory dock, the gnome pulls out a Glock.
• Gaslamp. Magical Victorian era.

• Occult. Demon worship.
• Cosmic/Lovecraftian. Spicy demon worship.

• Steampunk. Top hats, bustle skirts, plague doctors, and clangy metal bits. How aesthetic.
• Clockpunk. A world full of Da Vinci-esque machines and inventions.
• Arcanepunk. Cyberpunk, but make it magic.

These are just something to build on rather than anything solid. The roles to pick from are really more like vague guidelines, so don't feel like you're 100% locked into the descriptions.

I'm pretty confident almost all of these ideas could work in most settings and in a range of genres, but I'll list the ones I would like to write most and highlight any heavy preferences.

The highlighted roles are the ones I'm looking for someone to play. If both roles are highlighted, go ahead and pick whichever appeals to you more.

Anything with an asterisk* is a background character, and we can discuss how to handle them during planning.

And anything [blank] means I'm not looking for anything in particular. Surprise me.

No smut-driven plots here! Just good, old fashioned violence, substance abuse, grave robbery, kidnapping, and demon worship.

Fateful Strangers || Open

After a violent encounter with the native fauna, a mage (me) and a [blank] (you) agree it would be safest if they travelled together to the capital where each seeks an audience with the Court Mage*.

I have a few ideas in mind for this, but feel free to make suggestions, too! In all the scenarios below, things would start with one of our characters being attacked by a beast and the other coming to the rescue. Shortly after that, they'd travel to the city for their audience with the Court Mage. Or maybe it isn't shortly after, and we make their trip there a bit of a journey in and of itself.

Our characters arrive and have their meetings with the Court Mage, who agrees to help with their requests if they perform a favour for them first—likely something fairly dangerous that would set our characters on a journey to slay a beast or bring back some rare item, or both.

Our characters meet the Court Mage and learn that they are the source of our characters' problems. Unsurprisingly, the Court Mage unwilling to help and possibly even turns hostile/violent towards them in response. Tired from their journey and unprepared for another battle so soon (and possibly even wounded), our characters would flee to safety and try to figure out a way to stop them.

The Court Mage agrees to help our characters in exchange for a rare or magical item from a place rumoured to be the lair of a foul creature—a task more akin to a suicide mission than a quest. When they return, they learn the deed they committed was not as noble as they were led to believe and seek to exact their revenge for being used to further the Court Mage's agenda.

What's Yours is Mine || Open

A treasure hunter (me) and a [blank] (you) cross paths whilst searching ruins for an artifact. Each claims the object is rightfully theirs and refuses to acquiesce. With an unwelcome guest* in close pursuit of the [blank], sights set on the item for their own nefarious intentions, the [blank] convinces the treasure hunter to travel with them until they can come to an agreement about what to do next.

Depending on what our characters are looking for, we could either make this one long journey that would have them trying to hide/protect the artifact until they do whatever it is they intend to do with it, or we could go for something a bit more light-hearted and episodic and have them go searching for other things to make some coin, too. We could also combine the ideas, with our characters picking up grave robbing grand theft treasure hunting jobs while they get the artifact wherever they decide it needs to go.

I didn't have any ideas in mind about what the item should be specifically, except that it would be magic and also that it would make sense that it's not just our characters and the "unwanted guest" who want it for themselves, but we can iron those details out in the planning phase.

Scholarly Endeavours || Closed

An occult researcher (me) hires a paranormal investigator (you) to help her investigate and purify some catacombs after an expedition goes awry. When they arrive at the excavation site, they find the magic seal at the entrance barely intact and the mangled corpses of some of the researcher's colleagues within.

While there would be a good dose of action and horror in this RP, there would also be a heavy focus on some pretty weird, esoteric shit. If you're not too keen on reading and writing about the interweaving threads of extraplanar realms and the barriers between overlapping worlds being broken and breached, you probably won't have a lot of fun with this.

Bad Blood || Open

Two highly adversarial demon/monster slayers are hired to eliminate a beast*, which ends with their quarry escaping and the slayers blaming each other for the slip-up. With more than their paycheque at stake, they agree to try to cooperate for long enough to follow the trail of dead bodies and hellspawn in the hopes they might be able to finish the job.

This is very much a "reluctant partners" kind of RP. Our characters would not like each other. Definitely not to begin with, at least. They might learn to tolerate each other with time. They might even eventually become friends. Initially, though? Definitely not. These are people who have stolen contracts from each other and have actively and intentionally sabotaged each other's work in the past. The only thing stopping them from turning against each other completely would be the knowledge that neither of them would be able to deal with the monster/demon themselves. We can discuss the reasons for and extent of their mutual hatred via PM.

Whether the creature they've been tasked with killing is earthly or more diabolical in nature is open for discussion, but I'm leaning more towards it being a demon if you're leaving the choice up to me.

A Common Enemy || Closed

A witch (me) seeks out a monster hunter (you) to help her track and kill a demon* after her coven* summons and loses control of it. Despite the witch's attempts to hide her association with the coven, the monster hunter quickly uncovers the truth and suspects she has been lying about the extent of her involvement in the ritual and begins to question her motives and whether she should pay for it with her life.

There's a lot we can do with this, but off the top of my head, I imagine our characters would (willingly or otherwise) try to track down the rest of the coven after dealing with the demon, most likely with other monsters and obstacles along the way.

I'm open to character death being the eventual outcome of this RP, although we would need to discuss it first.

Μπες μέσα, μαλάκα! Πάμε για μια οδύσσεια! || Open

Setting || Ancient Greece ||}

Bored of their quiet, idyllic lives and inspired by the stories they heard growing up, two childhood friends pack up and set off around the world in search of adventure and treasure.

This doesn't have to be set in IRL ancient Greece. In fact, I would prefer if we didn't and instead throw together a world loosely based around the Classical Greek period. The lore would obviously be very heavily influenced by Greek mythology, albeit with some poetic licence. The prevalence of magic is open for discussion, although I think I'm more partial to the idea of our characters having relatively limited magical capabilities, perhaps aided by the use of enchanted/mythical items they find along the way.

Things would begin with our characters making preparations with their hired crew to set sail and saying goodbye to their families before setting out after an ancient treasure on a sunken ship. The wreck itself is rumoured to have sunk in a few different locations due to several regional variations of the legend they're chasing. While they might not find what they initially set out for, each of these locations would pose challenges and threats to our characters, and they'd likely get caught up in a range of shenanigans along the way.

I don't expect you to be able to speak/read Greek, but it certainly wouldn't hurt if you did. If I do happen to sprinkle any in, I'll make sure to include a translation for you, but some things don't translate well over to English.

On The Run || Open

A bounty hunter (you) is hired by a petty noble couple* to find and bring home their daughter (me), who ran away after learning of her arranged marriage. The bounty hunter gladly accepts, assuming the job will be easy, only to learn there are others* searching for her and that she may be more trouble than she's worth.

This is a fairly new idea, so I haven't put as much thought into it as other ideas here. I'm thinking there would be other bounty hunters that were either hired by her family after they grow impatient with your character or hired by the family she's been arranged to marry into (or both) also looking for the runaway.

The character I intend on playing is kind of a shitbag, so if substance (ab)use and emotional manipulation isn't your thing, this might not be the RP for you.

Kind of questionable just how NSFW these really are, considering my reluctance to write lewd content. Nonetheless, the plots here focus on either romance or smut in some capacity.

If Villain Bad, Why Sexy? || Open

I have a couple of ideas to get us started listed below, but the basic premise is that our hero is constantly failing to apprehend our villain because their "feelings" keep getting in the way. That's pretty much it. I never said it was a well thought out or detailed idea.

In all seriousness, though, the main focus of this RP is the relationship between the hero and the villain, their relationships with their friends/associates, and how those evolve as the story progresses, especially on the hero's side of things.

For clarity and consistency, the hero role will be on the left and the villain will be on the right. I'm cool with playing a hero or a villain, as I have character ideas for both, so feel free to pick whatever you want. My only request is that if you choose the villain, please don't make them cartoonishly evil. A little bit of murder and necromancy? That's ok; we can turn a blind eye to that. Wanting to undo reality and solidify your place as God? Kind of hard to ignore. Kicked a puppy? What kind of monster are you?

Mage x Mage

This RP would follow our characters over the course of their careers, beginning before either of them has gained any real notability or notoriety. To start off with, they would both be nearing the end of their apprenticeships, either under the same sorcerer* or under their own sorcerers* who work closely with each other. For whatever reason, Mage A betrays Mage B, leaving them disgraced and looking for a new mentor. After that, it would likely be a long while before they saw each other again, probably after they've completed their apprenticeships.

Whether or not Mage B knows they've been betrayed by Mage A is open for discussion, although I suspect they might eventually find out, even if it is years down the line. At that point, however, there would likely be bigger issues to concern themselves with, as Mage A would have progressed far beyond petty sabotage to terrorising peasants for shits and giggles (which I assume will likely be the catalyst for them crossing paths again, but I'd like to hear any ideas you have, too, of course).

Knight x Sorcerer

Closed.

Our characters work under the employ of some kind of noble*—the knight as a bodyguard or some other kind of security, and the sorcerer a newly appointed advisor. The knight distrusts the mage, suspecting they might be planning to sabotage the noble in order to usurp their position, either for themselves or someone else from the guild that sent them.

I suspect the mage will eventually succeed in their attempts to depose the noble, leaving the knight scrambling to rectify the situation. In the meantime, however, this would revolve more around their attempts to thwart whatever schemes the mage is brewing up and the mage redirecting the knight's efforts elsewhere.

I'm also open to reversing things and having the sorcerer be good and the knight evil, but I'd prefer it if I wrote the mage in that specific scenario.
