Omg. Even though I'm the creator you know what I only just now realized? Eve can fix mental damage and chemical imbalance. If she's so inclined if course and has the time to spare but yeah. Secret super medic, maybe even our own Fixit Felix
@AlternateMan Bro you don't have to not make a Discord, if it is more convenient for other people they can do it. If anybody needs to communicate with me they can PM me or just let me know about stuff on the OOC, sorry about the inane chitchat btw I'll dial it back quite a bit.
Same here. You guys can use it if you want. I'll just not be because I dislike instant messanger apps in general and discord in particular.
Why can't you use Discord?
It's not that we can't but we don't want to. At least I don't want to. There are several reasons for this including but not limited to the fact that it's discord (enough said), that it's an extra layer of complexity that I have to check and deal with and that it keeps the OOC part dead as everyone migrates there. At least that was the case back when skype was a thing.
Yeah. I have the app on my phone, it's convenient. Imo ooc is more for important things while something like discord is for fun chatter that feels misplaced or may not even be relevant to ooc. Again, to be clear just my opinions here. It also seems to me like RPs with a discord last longer than those without, but that could just be coincidence.
Either way my motto is generally to each their own
Ok, here is what I cooked up as a prototype. Sorry it took this long but the holidays and family took precedence. I still don't have a name but that always comes last to me. So don't worry.
Long story short (before I post the big text) I took a look at the team and we have one sniper, three melee girls one of which is more tanky, a short-mid range shooter and what appears to be a healer. So I figure I can slot my character into the distraction/AOE/support role. Stuff like deploying smoke, blowing enemies up, setting things on fire, blowing enemies up, fixing things, blowing things up, intellectually understanding the robot menace and blowing it up etc. but also like if the team needs someone to help with analyzing the situation as almost everyone shied away from INT.
Name: [must think of one] Age: 20 Gender: female Appearance: A girl of medium height and not terribly athletic in build with long golden brown hair typically tied off in a bun. Both in combat and out she prefers wearing long sleeves, a skirt that reaches just up to her knee and socks that reach up as far as her thighs as well as gloves all made out of a decently fireproof material. When asked why she'll only remark that you only need to set your self on fire that many times before you switch from cotton.
In combat this combination is augmented by an utility belt with a holster on one sides and stuff, mostly bombs hanging off the other as well as a small backpack where she keeps all the bottled fun. Also ballistic goggles because getting burning shrapnel in the eyes is not fun the first time round.
Personality: Growing up sheltered without many friends or any siblings and with parents who were often absent she hasn't really developed very good social skills. This along with her at times single minded obsession with her work leaves her looking like she is distant and uncaring. And her somewhat morbid sense of humor doesn't help unless you are into that sort of thing.
This of course is not true. Her relative isolation as a child means she does in fact want to care for others and will, if given the opportunity develop an almost sisterly bond with her comrades. Unfortunately for everyone involved she is not likely to know how to express her emotions. And even if she did she wouldn't think that she should. What would after all be the point of doing so?
On a more personal note she is excited about science, magic and explosives and will talk about them for hours if you ask but that's about it and take every opportunity to examine devices or similar that peak her interest. So if anyone has an interest in anything related like weapons, magic, the nature of the machine threat or just seeing the world burn she can relate to that. Also knitting.   Backstory: She grew up as the children of scientists working for the government. Growing up her parents newer talked much about their work and worked to keep her sheltered from both it and the war. As much as anyone can be on the later at least. They also tried to keep her speed powers hidden. Unfortunately whilst you can keep a girl out of war you can't get war out of a girl.
As a small child she already enjoyed playing with explosives. Firecrackers of course were the start, also fire and fireworks when and if she could get her hands on them which was fortunately for everyone rare. At first this seemed like just an innocent if odd hobby for a child to have. But as the years moved on her interests too grew and expanded. And soon what little friends she had abandoned her fearful perhaps of her growing obsession with destruction or perhaps simply unwilling to follow her into the inevitable trouble that came with piling increasingly stacks of them together.
In an effort to keep her out of serious trouble her parents introduced her to science whilst in elementary school. Unfortunately this had the opposite effect. For whilst she took to the subject of science and magic with gusto if they intended this to be a path to a peaceful life of government work and unethical experiments far away from the front lines nothing could be further from what they got.
Still for a while it seemed to be paying off. For one thing she didn't become a domestic terrorist or pyromaniac, she didn't end up in prison, and year after year she graduated top of her class. And after she graduated highschool her parents already had a job lined up for her in their lab.
What followed was a period of boring calm. She worked with her parents for about two years. But a life of technomagicall research and unethical experiments just wasn't for her. There was simply too much paperwork and too little excitement in it. So one day she took the plunge and volunteered for the Sunderer force using her long hidden speed powers as an excuse.
These days she can be found in her quarters mixing up new and exciting prototypes and on the battlefield zipping about like a madwoman plying with her homemade toys. For once in her life feeling like she found her place. For once, feeling truly alive.
Powers: - Can run really, really fast.
- Knows enough about technology and magic to serve as the teams technical side as well as cook up weird and wonderful explosives ranging from bombs, magnetic bombs, shaped charges, bombs that freeze, melt, rain fire etc. on stuff. If there is a job to do there is a way to do it whilst blowing something up. [GM approval required I take it.]   Equipment: - Magnetic boots of her own design that let her climb metal walls (or giant robots).
- Bombs in both the explosive and specialized variety. Think smoke bombs and general utility stuff like that to support the team.
- A machine pistol firing wolfram flachettes. Good at going through armor but short ranged and doing limited damage.
- A radio earpiece that lets her communicate with the rest of the team.
- Occasionally carries various types of grenade launcher. But only if the mission calls for it as they aren't her thing. Bombs just aren't as fun if you aren't up close and personal when they blow up.
Also feel free to reject me if you feel she does not fit in. I tried my best but am worried that I missed the mark severely.
