The Doctrine of Combat Supremacy is so boss that most of you figured it out without me having to hold your hand. I get it though, it's nice to hold hands sometimes.

Paranoia (Old)

STYLE: Paranoia

Samuel forgoes his human form and adopts a demonic appearance that stands a couple of feet taller than him, lightly alters the sound of his voice, and subtly distorts the light around him. Nothing resembling skin can be seen, as anywhere his clothes wouldn't obscure is pitch-black. He may even just be the clothes pulled together by magic of some sort, though he still experiences pain and the like.

SPECIAL: Hallucinate - When he is not in their line of sight and is aware of them, Samuel's voice has a very faint echo and sounds as though it is coming from a person's own mind, though instinctively they still know where it is coming from. Visual confirmation or his obliviousness to your presence removes this effect.

Delusion (New)

STYLE: Delusion

Samuel forgoes his human form and adopts a demonic appearance that now stands at the same height as him, moderately alters the sound of his voice, and noticeably distorts the light around him. Compared to his prior appearance, he is also less lithe, and his form seems to assimilate the clothing he's wearing into it instead of being influenced by it.

PHYSICAL: D
ARCANE: C
CHAOS: D
SPECIAL: Dying Light - Samuel benefits from an increased resistance to both Darkness and Light melodies by a single rank, but only in dim or darker lighting, such as at night or while obscured in a shadow.

LEITMOTIF: Creeping Anxiety

Light around his form dims ever so slightly, just enough to be noticeable.

GRADE: Bronze
SPECIAL: Proximity to Samuel in his Esper form causes one to feel as though something is amiss, even when there is not. It can be ignored rather easily and does not affect coherent thought.

Leitmotif (Merged)

LEITMOTIF: Creeping Anxiety

Though he may speak kind words and sometimes perform kind deeds, there exists a sense of impending doom that follows him, not unlike a shadow.

GRADE: Bronze
SPECIAL: Hallucinate - While transformed, Samuel's voice seemingly comes from within the mind of those that could reasonably hear it, accompanied by a legion of demonic echoes, and people cannot help but feel hypervigilant around him.

Mika is just a regular teenage girl, but there seems to be something magical in the cookies she makes. Or maybe this is just a mother talking up their child's cooking. Regardless, the effects it bestows on Su are very real.

Despite the name, it's really just a bunch of fairly normal items you would expect a member of SWAT to be packing.

SPECIAL: The clip light has a black light function, allowing it to show blood stains, urine, etc that have been cleaned up. This can also reveal hidden messages and the like that someone might have left for a black light to find.

Trixy can hook a sister up with some interesting drugs. They can get you high, make you feel light headed, AND are well suited for combat.

Hiding in plain site is important for Maverick Espers. As much as Tetrad likes to stand out, Luna knows enough to keep her head down when she's out of the esper state.

SPECIAL: Luna's disguise comes with a face covering, wig, colored contacts, and a makeup kit. She is considered to have identity protection even out of the esper state. People who are familiar with Luna may recognize her from attributes that are not related to her appearance, such as her voice, handwriting, specific gestures, etc.

A small blood gem created by Lada. Shatters upon use. A creeping crimson vein-esque pattern forms upon Jacqueline’s esper form, both her body and her armour.

BACKUP MELODY: [Silver Self][Stabilize][Heal][Delay][Reflect]
SPECIAL: There is power in blood. The MP cap limit of the melody raises by 10. This backup can also draw upon nearby human blood (injured enemy, fresh body) the very moment it is used to empower the melody, granting it a rank-up.

PR: Unchivalrous

Some extra stuff that hardly fits the ‘knightly’ theme, but then again, Jacqueline isn’t one to sweat the details. Survival is survival.

GRADE: Bronze
GEAR: Pistol, Molotov
SPECIAL: The gun is metal-silver and engraved, the Molotov is in an elegant dark gray glass bottle and produces haunting white flames.

@SilverPaw Talked to Erode about it. While 10 MP isn't too significant, it feels a little weird to have a special do a bunch of different things at silver. However, you could make the melody cast with a [Bronse Self] and then use either [Enhance] to power up the [Heal] or [Reflect] note. Alternatively, [Powerful] could be used to make the entire Backup stronger with a slightly longer windup. Otherwise the parameters for activating the rank up bonus are fine and you can slap it on your CS.

A Ping Pong ball gifted to him by his boss, Fritzi, in recognition of his failed attempts at beating her in the sport. The absurd tenacity it inspires when hitting friendlies clearly sets it apart from its mundane brethren.

BACKUP MELODY: [Bronze Projectile][Bounce][Piercing][If Ally][Or][If Self][Stabilize] = 80
SPECIAL: Empowered - The Ping Pong Ball glows a certain color when charged, and leaves a bit of that color on anything it hits. It probably washes out. It is red when it has expended its power.

PR: Umbral Contingencies

An assortment of practical equipment, mainly carried in the potential event Samuel cannot remain transformed, yet hasn't lost consciousness. It includes armor to protect his fragile body, a pair of handcuffs to restrain an individual, some basic medical supplies, and a concealable baton for use in self defense.

@The World@Ponn@FamishedPants@SilverPaw@ERode@Majoras End There's only one more collab going that I'm aware of, so I'm gunna make this announcement now.

We're at the end of this first part of the RP. Once the Walmart collab goes up, I'll start writing a final post and cap off the current going-ons in Pax Septimus. Part 2 will start later. I wish I had a more concrete date, but I've been pretty busy lately and that won't let up as soon as the holidays end. Erode has also been busy and starting part 2 right away does not seem like it's in anyone's best interest.

I will be working on the RP while we're not playing it though. It all looks good, but for part two the support glamors are going to get treated differently than your standard ones. They're sort of weak and situational for something that takes your operation upgrade. I'm going to work on something that lets them get upgraded during downtime, as support glamors lend themselves to being upgraded incrementally. You will likely need to change up your character sheets for this change, but I'll have more details once part 2 rolls around. Because of this, I'll just tackle your new powers once part 2's interest check is up.

That probably would have been an okay post if I wasn't writing it on Christmas, but here we are.

Thanks again everyone. You'll be the first to know when I decide to fire up Symphony On High, the unofficial name Symphony of Espers part 2. I mean, it'll probably just get turned into an acronym. Wait! That's not true, it would be an initialism. I know when people type out SoE they don't pronounce it "soy," even if that's pretty meme. But yea, pretty sure Symphony On High is just going to get called SoH or "sow" by everyone. Damn kids these days can't type out anything longer than five letters. I blame their smart phones and their texting. Back in my day we used telephones for talking. You couldn't take them with you, but they never ran out of batteries!
