Well, the main issue with that would stem from the fact that apparently the Del Guarde aren't recognized as the police.

“If that's not the case, and we have some kind of… ‘organization’ claiming they’re one of us. Well,” She grinned under her shades. “That's highly illegal. Perhaps I'll have someone investigate Yellow Brick…”

So kinda awkward to ask the police for help, I bet. Good thing the Blue Bloods are corrupt enough for that. ;3

So are we playing this as an RP, or a board game?

Feeling like I'm cruising to an early out.

Like Lana said, collaboration is the name of the game. Forming alliances, breaking them, etc. I think Del Guarde being surrounded by mafias makes it a good starting point to reach out to others and get some people on their side. Also, pushing North towards the industrial districts is what I assume some/most will do on that side of the map. Some adversity is a good chance for Del Guarde to flex their muscles too. And not like an attempt to claim a district will result in a capture anyway, if something happens you can always force them out.

Don't feel like you're being targeted specifically. It's just the nature of the story, definitely still is more roleplay than board game. And even if something were to happen and you lose all your territory (very unlikely especially this early), Estylwen already mentioned being able to keep your character in the story and possibly retake a territory.

Also just checking in to the thread, since I was offline for a few days. I've reached out to a couple of people and like ERode mentioned, we did a short thing.

By the way, as far this goes, I think this is with the assumption Del Guarde is a mafia or other gang claiming to be police. If Glyde came clean to the Commissioner, I doubt there would be any issues there lol.

Whether or not I can push out invasions hinges on how much rust I can shake off of my T1 skills. I haven't done a proper battle in nearly seven years.

That's fair. I've never done arena myself so we'll see what happens!

Aaand RAHHHH IT'S WAR TIME.

That being said, if you'd just surrender Merryland, Little Bird, Matthias certainly has friendlier plans for Glyde and his not-gang. ;3

Never sacrifice all your Personnel for a three-turn invasion-immunity.

Some tea and cookies ought to get his mind back on track.

How does he eat it...

He places it where his mouth usually is and can vaguely taste it. Just like how he can see without eyeballs and hear without eardrums, Matthias can still 'sense' things that he ought not to. He just can't actually eat or drink it.

Or you can hold off and give me a turn or two.

I'll appreciate having time to get my feet under myself

I have given you as much of an advantage as possible, Little Bird. You are welcome to sacrifice your Personnel and subvert the attack.

Speaking of which, @LanaStorm and @Qia can collab or do a little post-by-post back and forth regarding the spies now in Highfair. :>

And ERode and Little Bird can coordinate on how they want to handle the invasion into Merryland.

If you don’t want to jump into collab fights right away, Little Bird, I don’t mind doing something like we both PMing Est our general strategies for attacking/defending, and then letting Est decide who gets the W.

If this an RP, then I'm allowed a say in how the results pan out.

As it stands, I'm not ready to cede territory, or otherwise test the waters of how combat determines a victor. Given time to fortify so as not to get struck off the map in five turns, that is like to change.

A scenario that allows me to maintain my present board state is preferrable to me for now.

Everyone else is in the same boat. If I give you immunity flippantly, then I give everyone immunity. And that defeats the purpose of the role-play. If you lose all your territory, I will give you more. You can't actually lose.

You're also the military. You're technically the strongest faction, as your own people surround the city. You could hit the panic button, and call the big boys in (which I would play).
