Miller already wanted to close the door and turn back, since there was no response and he didn't expect any. However, before he closed the door he heard Mithias voice through the radio. "Pilot, land right over there!" Miller ordered the pilot as he went to the pilots cockpit. The pilot slowly landed the helicopter close to the flare, having the side door open already, Miller waited for him to get in "What are you waiting for, get in!".

Mithias didn't hesitate. He ran to the helicopter and jumped in with the ease and grace given to his kind. The artificial lights of the cabin illuminated his pale skin and ragged clothes. His uniform had rips and tears in it, bloodstains, and a rather large hole on the side of his chest. he looked slightly gaunt, but his wounds had obviously healed. His weapons were covered in dried blood, vampire blood. He looked like hell.

The vampire leaned against the back of his seat and peered at Miller with his inhuman, golden eyes. His fangs were apparent in his hunger. "Do not fear me, Miller. I will not harm you. I am grateful for the lift."

Soon after Mithias got in the helicopter, the pilot took off and Miller closed the side door. Miller smiled as he heard Mithias words "I am glad to hear that, but I don't fear you. I mean I faught a lot vampires in my time in the army, you know? I also am used to work together with some, soo, would youmind giving me a short recap about what happened down there..". It won't take long until they would arrive at kilo-point, but Miller alteast wanted to hear a bit from what happened there.

Mithias nodded. "Of course. The oldblood vampire that led the attack on Kilo Point is called, Magnus. I found him and his followers hiding in a cave... the same one that is now surrounded in flames. He destroyed my fighter jet, and I was forced to face him on the ground. I drove my blade through his heart, but he did not die. Magnus, I discovered, had had his heart removed, and is keeping it elsewhere. This makes him very difficult to destroy. From then on, I could not match his speed and strength, and he broke me down. I expected to die, but he did not finish me. For whatever reason, he spared me. But, before he released me, he said that he had lost a friend to SOLDIER, and that he hated them for it. His desire to destroy SOLDIER is very strong. I believe he wishes to start a revolution, to subdue all of humanity." Mithias checked the supplies onboard for any drinkable blood. "Please excuse me." He found some. "Please bring me up to speed on what's been happening on your end." Mithias looked at Miller directly. "I understand Gabriel has made an appearance and has specific demands. What are our orders?"

Jack heard a small beeping. There was minor damage to the left engine. A minor glitch, some would say. A malfunction. However, Jack had designed every part of Terebithia, and personally overseen her creation and modification through all the long years. He knew every wire that traveled through her massive, humming body. He knew the shape of each of her bolt, and the unique hum of each of her engines. It was his daughter, his beautiful daughter. And his daughter did not malfunction.
The BioPILOT had already performed a search for the radioactivity generated by humans and vampires, and detected two Oldbloods below. One of them had the unique signature that only Gabriel's children had. Mithias. Jack nearly growled in anger as he realized the filthy beast had layed it's hands on his child, as all six of Terebithia's missile launchers were extended, their aim guided by their respective AI's. Several drones were ejected from the hangar, flying around to get visual confirmation, each piloted by the BioHIVE, ready to destroy the fly that would sting the beast that was Terebithia.

The drones came zooming around the curve of the engine to find Martin there, hanging from a small dent in the hull , just outside of the black scar on the massive engines. The BioHIVE temporarily waited to calculate it's next appropriate action, based on the presence of an unknown target. Had it been Mithias, as it had been led to assume, it would have immediately detained him and had SOLDIER deal with him. However, this Oldblood was not in the files for any member of SOLDIER or known vampires, and thus there was no clear course of action. As such, the BioHIVE decided to wait until a clearer course of action presented itself, relaying all information to Jake, and see what would happen then. "Please wait until I decide whether to kill you."

Miller carefully listened to Mithias "Hmm, he sure is a stubborn one. We should take Magnus out as soon as possible, before he is getting a real danger. While you were away another agent arrived Rhyss or whatever his name was-" Miller couldn't finish his sentence as he was interrupted by the pilot "Sir you should have a look at this!". Miller went over to the pilot and laughed as he looked where the pilot was pointing "This guy must be insane if he wants to fight that big junk of steel. Pilot bring us down somewhere over there.". The helicopter landed close to Kilo point on a field.

Mithias crawled forward with Miller to look at what the pilot was pointing at. There was a person, which had to have been a vampire, hanging from Terebithia. Mithias cocked an eyebrow. "What fool buffoon would..." he started to say, as he tried to see who it was. Then he sensed it, the mark, the cursed blood... He sighed heavily. It was his brother.

Outwardly, he frowned. Inwardly, he hoped Martin wouldn't die on the same night he was turned. The drones were swarming around him. "A fledgling vampire." He told Miller. "We needn't be concerned. We should focus on finding Magnus." Mithias sat back down. "I know of Rhyss, and I'll tell you he's a loose cannon. He's helped us in the past, but I do not trust him. Please tell me we've got something else to throw at Magnus and Gabriel, because you do realize, we are now at war with them both."

Among the 501 minds that lived inside the beast there was one that stood out. Maybe because it was the largest, maybe because it was the most angy, definely because it was directing that anger towards Martin. A shiver went down Martin's spine as the beast spoke to him:
"Please wait until I decide whether to kill you."
Pissed off the wrong monster. Happens.

Martin swung from to side while hanging from the exposed piece of hardware. He smiled and replied.
"I did not come to steal from you, O Smaug the Unassessably Wealthy. I merely wanted to gaze upon your magnificence. To see if you were as great as the old tales say. I did not believe them."

He jumped over to a small ledge so he could stand.

As the answer was not a logical one, the BioHIVE was at a loss as to how to respond. Doing a quick search of Terebithia's data banks, BioHIVE soon discovered that it was a quote from the book The Hobbit: There and Back Again. However, none of the data banks could tell it just how this particular quote applied to the situation, as all characters within it were fictional and thus irrelevant to the scene. Thus, BioHIVE came to the conclusion that it's own processing power or store of knowledge was insufficient to detect the meaning of this response.
In order to gleam it's meaning, BioHIVE informed it's superior, BioPILOT, of this odd and confusing reply. BioPILOT was more experienced with dealing with humans, and had been built to interface with them more often, instead of simply search and destroy, as BioHIVE had been. And, as BioHIVE had hoped, BioPILOT knew the answer to this mystery, which lay in the fact that he was referring to BioHIVE as Smaug. Apparently, he was using a quote from a book to illustrate a statement in a manner that BioHIVE found nothing less than confusing. It was utterly inefficient, compared to the simple act of stating one's meaning.
This entire exchange between AI's occured in what a human would precieve as 1.2 seconds, as information was exchanged and processed at the speed of light without need for verbal communication. And, at the end of it all, it led to BioHIVE's well-thought-out response. "You have been decided to be completely inefficient. Stop speaking in such a manner, or you will be eliminated." BioHIVE was sure the being would later be grateful to it that it had corrected such an obvious fault in it's thinking. That is, if BioHIVE didn't kill the creature before it could do such a thing.

Martin watched his reference buzz trough artificial minds up and down in a glimpse. The machine answered. Martin grinned while looking for a place with better cover. He readied himself to swing to another ledge. "Inefficient? I do however believe that my very specific goals are being met more directly and productively by using such a format. If this system of communication strains your systems I insincerely apologize. But to change speech algorithms would be inefficient as it would no doubt be less compatible to my mind than this format is to yours. Please bear with me and get an update. Or connect me to your closest humanoid mind. I feel It'd be a shame if negotiations fail due to the lacking of AI. Don't you?"

Martin calculated the distances to the machines and possible ledges to dangle from. The fall down would probably not fatal, although it would have been yesterday. He'd still not be running after a drop like that.
Martin tried to broadcast a thought, he assumed Gabriel would be able to hear it, and if the old blood down there had any mind reading abilities he could to. maybe.
"Gabriel! Hear me Gabriel! Please relay the message to Magnus that he should keep shooting. It is somewhat effective and I need the distraction."
Now all he had to do was hold out and have faith. He didn't feel comfortable with faith.

Mithias heard it, and Magnus probably did to. Did Martin really need a distraction that badly? ...probably yes, but if Magnus opened fire, he would reveal his location. Certainly one of them was dead meat. The helicopter had landed and the small SOLDIER team would be joining the fight. Mithias was still waiting on Miller to give him more information.

Survival for Martin or Magnus looked fairly grim. The ancient vampire was right. They shouldn't be here.

BioHIVE bristled at being called inefficient, instantly checking for later updates. There were none, and yet it had taken him far too long to decipher the meaning behind the quote from the book. Perhaps this was one of the few cases in which a human mind was better fit to the situation. As such, BioHIVE reported to Jack, and asked for guidance on the current situation. However, it's pride had been hurt, and it decided that it would quite enjoy killing this particular vampire.

Jack sighed, as BioHIVE reported. It was quite obviously a distraction technique, and that meant that the vampire had reinforcements. He relayed his orders to BioPILOT, and Terebtihia soon started ascending, climbing higher and higher. Even vampires wouldn't survive a 30-meter drop, or at least it would incapacitate him long enough for the drones to finish him off. Then he relayed his further orders to BioHIVE.

BioHIVE mentally sighed as finally orders arrived. The slowness of comminicating with humanoid lifeforms was always a pain, even father suffered from this. Of course, father would undoubtedly one day find a way around it, just as father found solutions for everything. BioHIVE then decided it was time to speak to the vampire. "You have been presented with 2 options. You will be forced into service with SOLDIER for 200 years for the transgression of property, harming of military equipment, and insulting of an official in service. Your second option....." The drones floating around Martin clicked, as long silver tubes extended from their sides, aimed at Martin. "Is to donate your body to sceince. Thank you for helping further out knowledge of vampire kind."

"Well, while you were out there and fighted Magnus, new equipement arrived." Miller said pointing to the base "Several new weapons and vehicles, we even got tanks. Maybe thats what you were looking for. And what goes for that guy up there, as far as I can judge the situation, he will probably die in a few seconds if he won't run away.". After finishing the sentence Miller made his way to the base, trying to gather some soldiers and other stuff.

Terebithia was rising, and Mithias knew it wasn't going to be safe for Martin to drop down. Outwardly, he tried not to show his thoughts. Miller had gone to gather some soldiers to man the new equipment and probably restock on ammo, etc. Mithias wasn't interested, however. As a vampire, he'd be far more effective on foot using blades, just as long as he didn't get caught in a blast. He'd be expected to go back out after specific vampire targets," man-to-man," so to speak. He did conceal his withdrawal of a few flashbombs, a gas grenade, a small ceramic bomb with a timer, and a high-power handgun. Such weapons might be needed against humans. Mithias went out to find Magnus, but not to destroy him as SOLDIER expected. As he headed out, he kept an eye upward to see what became of young Martin.

"It seems the dead hold no compassion for the dead, a miscalculation" Martin thought as loud as he could without actually speaking the words. If they could hear him, they weren't going to help him. "This story has been educational, but I don't find the ending fitting. It shouldn't come before the middle. So for now I'll be choosing door number three!" Martin dramatically pointed back at the engine. Nothing happened there. But martin started to whisper as he swayed side to side,
"'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe."

The minds returned to buzzing, of course they'd try to find this reference as well. But his one would be harder to understand.
Something told him they wouldn't shoot before they made the link. He'd have at least 1.2 seconds to JUMP!
Martin leapt for one of the floating creatures and swung forward drawing it out of balance. Their combined weight started to pull the thing down and they quickly lost altitude.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!"

Martin quickly flung himself forwards away from the flying deathtrap towards the sloped roof of the church.
With high speed he rode down the roof on his heelys before jumping for a lower building.
"Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He bounded of the roof into the ceiling window of the next building. Shards of broken glass flew everywhere but broke his fall a little more.
He disappeared into the house, it was children bedroom, the room was full of clutter and broken glass, on the bed sat a child, staring at Martin wide eyed.
"Do not speak of this day to any mortal my child." Martin said dramatically while turning to him, the burned gashes where his eyes used to be made an impression the child wouldn't soon forget. "You are the chosen child." Martin finished with a smile before running off into the hall, down the stairs and trough the kitchen door into a back alley. There he took a breath. He really could have used that distraction.

BioHIVE indeed tried to trace the quote, quickly arriving at Through the Looking Glass, or, more specifically, Jaberwock. However, as it realized this, the target was already descending down, using one of it's own drones as a form of transportation. While the other drones swarmed down after him, indignant at this distraction, the vampire jumped off of the drones into a nearby building. At this point, new orders were given, and the drones surrounded the house, blocking off all exits.
At the same time, BioPILOT gave instructions to BioSOLDIER 1, who then calibrated the course necessary for the destruction of Martin. Having already been prepared to fire, the turret simply needed to move slightly before launching three rockets, which struck the house in quick succession. A pillar of flame shot up from the ground, enveloping the house and anyone in it, fed by the rockets. When it finally died down, there was nothing left by a crater, and, if Martin was lucky, a few bits from which he could regenerate.

Martin was barely outside when a drone came hovering in his direction. He dove behind a garbage can. The drone stopped in front of the house. Martin took the sword on his back and crept closer to strike. That's when the house was pelted with rockets and turned into a blazing inferno. Never-mind then.
Martin bolted out of the alleyway and ran across the long boulevard. calculating the direction of the rockets martin took a guess at where the louncher was stationed on the flying fortress. He knew which buildings would give him cover. He had to keep moving. And find help.

BioSOLDIER 3 smirked at BioSOLDIER 1 as BioPILOT informed them that their target was still alive. BioPILOT solidly countered by stating it's orders had been to blow up the house, and thus technically it had not failed. Indeed, the house was very much blown up. BioSOLDIER 3 sighed, as he watched the two fight. BioSOLDIER 3 was always trying to prove he was the best, ever since Jack had updated him first, and believed himself to be superior.
In order to prove itself, BioSOLDIER programs it's rockets, firing them in a net pattern all over the outpost. The rockets swivel in midair, and shoot towards the actual locations, striking from above as to ignore the cover of the houses. The rockets struck near Martin. The first was aimed at his location, an attempt to neutralize him immediately. The next 8 would arrive moments after the first in a circular pattern, causing a total destruction circle more than 30 meters in diamete, programmed to spread the explosive force equally. A mouse trap of rockets.
In order to ensure that BioSOLDIER 3's attack plan succeeded, or to capture the vampire if it escaped, BioHIVE ringed the area in it's own drones, each set to detect the radiation given off by the OldBlood, Were Martin to attempt to escape the blast radius, BioHIVE would grab him. He caired less about being the one to take him down than getting the job done, as he, unlike the SOLDIER AI's, was unique, and therefore naturally superior.
While the trap closed around Martin, BioPILOT quite sternly lectured BioSOLDIER 3, who had acted without orders. Any resistance was futile, as BioPILOT harshly reprimanded the rebellious AI, much to the amusement of BioSOLDIER 1, and, to a lesser extent, BioSOLDIER 2 and 4.

Martin followed the digital discussions that ran trough the air. Artificial emotions rushed like lifeless lightning. Quite a comical concept.
There were patterns in the air, mathematical plans and directions. There was clearly no way of escape from here. But Martin had changed his mind about escape, as he often had changed his mind, and often will again. "The first one to land is for me, the others are for future me's. So live I must be more creative than a machine, how hard can that be?" He whispered to himself.
Martin decided that it was time to try and test his vampiric strengths. He tore a hole in the wall he had his back to and pulled out a brick, balanced it in his hand and timed it perfectly. He focused on all the information around him, whirling like a tempest of facts and thoughts. He pinpointed the first rocket and only the rocket. He threw the brick and immediately dove to the left. The brick soared trough the air and glanced off the rocket, slightly changing it's trajectory. The missile disappeared into the hole in the wall. Perfect shot!
Less than a moment later a powerful blast could be heard, followed by several more. Martin knew the other explosions would fill the streets in a few seconds from now so he followed the rocket and dove into the hole.
He ran trough the demolished room. He barely had time to investigate all the broken guns and ammunition that had been stockpiled there. Now violently demolished. He pushed on knowing that a single wall wouldn't save him. He burst trough the next door and moved into another large room full of weapons and other equipment. A well ordered jungle of metal and powder. The amount of barrels holding holy water made Martin slightly nervous.

Outside behind him came the thunderous roar of a carpet bombing, followed by the collapse of several buildings, including the back part of this building.

BioSOLDIER 3 raged at seeing his perfectly planned trap ruined, and was about to fire another barrage when it recieved the digital equivelant of a stern look from BioPILOT, who was sick of the prideful AI's antics. Instead, it would leave the matter to the much more responsible BioHIVE, who had recently reported that it had the matter in hand, and would deal with the matter using 'psychological warfare.' While the idea of the clumsy AI attempting to do anything involving human thinking was a worrying one indeed, BioPILOT gave the AI a shot at taking down the OldBlood. It wasn't like it was getting out of range of the BioSOLDIERs anytime soon.
The drones from before placed themselves at multiple locations throughout the building, as a single drone sped towards Martin's exact location. It stopped in front of him, but instead of firing the odd silver cilyndrical weapon it possessed, it spoke. "I am going to use your value for your life to force you to halt. This entire building is filled with explosive materials." If the drone had been capable of smiling, it would have, as it realized it had triumphed where all others had failed, one more proving that it was superior than the other AIs, with the possible exception of BioPILOT. "It would take 5-6 seconds for you to exit the building. The explosion would travel at a speed of 360 km/h. Including an ignition period of 0.2 seconds, you would be killed at the 3d second. No nearby targets can be destroyed to prevent ignition."
