THE RISE OF OMEGA

23 April, 2095. 21:39.

"Haha, that's right Jennifer. Great scoop on the babyboom that's going on here in New Tokyo. And now back to our sport journalist; Lacron Junior. Lacron, take it away." The television screen flickers to a white male standing on a sportfield, just outside New Tokyo. "Well Thomas, you know what they say right. Even though the ball is round, it still goes--" When out of nowhere, Thomas gets cut off and the screen turns to black. After ten seconds, the screen turns back on and it seems that it shows Mahogany Building, the most important government building.

Three people are standing on the top of that building, one of which is holding a camera. The other two are standing in front of it. One of the two is Alexander Tsao, the mayor of New Tokyo, who's being held hostage by the second man. Alexander Tsao is a small and chubby man, with black hair that's combed over and a small (almost pig like) face. The glasses that he's wearing are broken and it seems like his lip and nose are both bleeding. The man next to him smirks as he turns to the camera. The man is big, 2 meters for sure, and wears a vest with what seems to be C4. In his hands he has two detonators. He clears his throat. "Greetings ladies and gentlemen. If you can see this, that means that my brothers and sisters took over NTS and are now live broadcasting this. My name is-- well, they call me Kostrat. But my real name is Guanyin. And you, Omega, screwed with the wrong group, my friend!" He shows the two detonators to the camera. On one of the detonators he holds his thumb. "As you can see, I'm strapped with C4 and in my hand I have two detonators. The one I'm pressing down right now will make the C4 explode, if I remove my thumb from it. The other one will make the C4 explode if I press it. So Omega you better listen!" He takes a second to in- and exhale. "You promised, but you didn't deliver. And now we've got your friend" He says. His voice is low, with a middle eastern accent. "So, it's very simple. We give you five minutes to deliver and if you fail, we'll take your friend's life. But if you succeed, and let's hope you do, Mister Tsao can walk fre--" Suddenly, Kostrat stopped mid sentence. A bullet pierced through his head, taking him out in one shot. Kostrat fell to the ground, automatically removing his thumb from the detonator and activating the C4. The C4 went off and the whole top of the building became engulfed in fire. After that, the camera lost connection. While that happened, the police moved out and arrived at the NTS. A firefight broke out and multiple Guanyins who had taken over the NTS got killed in the action. This whole story spread like wildfire as it reached every corner of New Tokyo in a matter of minutes. But not everyone is pleased to hear about this...

Erebus flickered into existence in a dark alleyway, only a few feet away from a New First National armored car, continueing to make its way down the street none the wiser that its cargo was now significantly lighter. His hands rested on the shoulder of his two associates, he didn't know there names, he like it better that way. In there hands they held duffel bags full of hard drives, loaded with the Coin data of some rich old bastard who was probably too old fashioned or paranoid to trust transferring such vast wealth digitally.

"Go" Erebus ordered, his voice low and distorted by his mask "Drop the coins where we agreed and you'll get you're clean payments in a week, try to to take any and I will find you" he slowly grew a writhing mass of tentacles from the darkness behind him as he spoke, ensuring that his warning would hit home.

The other two gave a curt nod and ran off down the alley, Erebus stood and watched them as they departed, a smiling of satisfaction spreading beneath his helmet.

[wip] Somewhere in new Tokyo, in one of the many giga skyscrapers, in short a large living area hosting over thousands of people with fire department, shops and so on all in the same building, was one particular room. It would be stated that a certain Shzui Lynn would life in there and that it was a nice loft, standing a bit in contradiction to the normally poor and runned down rooms but nothing too unuasual. Many people tended to have a rather fancy room in a run down area thanks to the high taxes in those areas who are said to be secure but depending on what shortly happened, New Tokyo can hardly be called secure.
But we are drifting off are we?
While the loft wouldn't be that uncommon, that what would lay behind that door was indeed uncommon. While a small gangway would lead to another door behind that one a huge room in complete white would nearly blind those who would dare to enter it. A white bed to the far end of the room, a single white leather chair, a holo conductor, a silver shelf with several cages and chemical glass wares, some filled and some not, and then finally in the middle of the room a surgeon table with all the equipment a hospital could dream of.
That was not all, if one could look behind the blinding white of the floor and walls one would recognize many weird lines going across the floor and so stating some floor and wall cases for many things.
Now the only living thing inside this strange gigantic room would be a white dresses man, a white trench coat, a white fedora and a white surgeon mask topped with white leather boots and gloves. It was creepy, not in a evil way but more of the seril looking white. Everything in this room looked too polished, too clean too well fit.

Anyways, this white dressed figure was sitting on the couch watching into the holo conductor and so seemingly watching the news when the sudden interruption came.

While not diverting his eyes from the holografic show, he mumbles to himself.
"start image inducer, search police register, international register and all camera material of the last 24 hoers"
He made a small pause then continued.
"Search for Omega in previous stated crime files, filter out greek mythology and complete with companies, clubs and gangs~"
The white figure stood up and headed for the door.
"Send me a 10minute chek up via deciphered tech-frame on my organic technomatric storing system"
He left the white room , leaving a humming holo-conductor which suddenly shows a loading bar. What he did was investigation on his own level and well, even in such a surveiled country like this, he made sure that he would be mostly undetected.
He made a partially tech virus who allowed multiple hosts to download parts of the information he wanted to gather, not a whole lot but only a bit. It made the gathering slower but it was worth it.
So where did the white figure head to? Well investigation is mostly made where it actually happened or there where the culprit is hidden~

"Now I said to him, if you don't change your ways I'll kill your cat. Then I hit him in the face with a baseball bat," A man said to a pidgeon.
His eyes were a dark pink with black hair and a blue strip of hair running down over his left eye, with a nice black shirt, a blue jacket, and dark jean pants. He was sitting alone in a park with only the birds to keep him company. When out of no where a giant ball of fire came hurtling down at him, creating a massive explosion. Leaving nothing, but a giant searing crater where the man had once been. Along with several charred bodies all around it, after several long hours there was movement down in the center of the crater several chunks of flesh were being pushed together forming a spine and back first, then several ribs. Slowly it worked it's way into forming leg bones, and muscle. As the heart, lungs, and other nice necessary organs began to form, and or repair themselves. The spine shined of metal, and more of it began to spread out till standing in the crater was none other then Void.

"HOLY SHIT! I hurt all over, what the hell just happened? And where the hell am I," Void said looking around.
The bug eyes of his helmet glowing as it scanned the area, and told him where he was.
"Okay... I'm in a searing hole, in Toe-key-oh Ja-pan... Hmm sounds familiar, though it really doesn't make much sense why I'm in the searing hole," He said setting a hand to his chin in thought.
He simply stood there for a good half an hour before he shrugged, and made his way out. He scanned the area seeing all the dead bodies, and the seared earth.
"What the hell happened here," He asked dumbstruck.
He then got a list of possible reasons what happened flashing in his vision that was being projected by his helmet.
"Oh..... I should probably leave, before the police get here," He said.

He soon thrust his hands out twisting it it like he were opening a door. a small swirling mass of energy slowly began to form, and spread out till it was big enough for him to walk through. He entered his small warehouse store room, and took a seat on a chair made entirely of C4, as the portal quickly shut behind him. His armor quickly retreating back though stayed on his chest, and legs as the nanites altered the appearance to look like pants, and a black shirt.
"Ugh some times, it sucks being me," He said pulling out a beer from the cooler right by his chair.
He knew he couldn't get drunk as the nanites processed everything, but that wasn't about to stop him from trying.
"A toast to good friends," he said to a wall filled with nothing but a vast plethora of stuffed animals.
He then grumbled slightly before drinking his beer down, in complete silence.

The quiet and cold evening air accompanied the dull night sky much like a design on a child's blanket. The humble, poor families in the city huddled together for comfort and the buildings all looked long and gray, looming over the lonely streets in which a single dark, cloaked figure walked. The figure was as silent as the sky and as black as the deepest reaches of space. Not a single word came out, the only sound present in the streets being that of her soft footsteps. For minutes, it was all the same. The cloaked figure walked down the streets until she reached a big, heavily deteriorated building. The walls were dirty and some windows were busted.

The figure stopped in front of the building and read the small billboard above the entrance, 'Sunshine's Orphanage'

She stretched her left arm and with a flick of her hand an old, worn violin slowly materialized right into position. She held it down with her jaw and flicked her right hand, this time being a bow which materialized. her fingers dancer for a short moment on the fingerboard, and then she started. Moving the bow up and down slowly, she started playing a slow, sad tune. Minutes passed, and finally she heard the sound of the Orphanage's front door unlocking.

As the door opened, the form of a small girl, holding a teddy bear close to her chest, revealed itself. The girl looked up at the cloaked figure and frowned for a moment, before relaxing her expression and letting tears streak down her face and onto her small, dirty pink pajamas.

Seeing the tears, the figure stopped playing and let the violin disappear into thin air. The figure stretched an extremely pale and bony hand towards the girl, who for a moment hesitated, but after hugging her teddy bear closer to her chest, put her hand in the figure's. Calmly, the figure led the girl away, into the cold, dark streets, tightly holding the sad girl's hand.

"Come on, almost there." Emily was on the edge of her seat, the world a far away memory as she stared intently at the game on the screen in front of her. "Just gotta-" She jerked right. "Then a quick-" She jerked left. "And..." The screen in front of her erupted in a fiery explosive, 8-bit music played a quick medley to let her know it had come out victorious over her. "What the gosh-dang! That's so unfair, I won and you know it." She fell back into to her chair, slumping away in defeat.

A man appeared in the doorway; he was older, balding and had the type of posture that said, "Just a few more years of this shit." He tossed a file across the room, which flopped lazily into Emily's lap before left its secret begin to slip out. "We've got a armored car-robbery reported on 21st street, looks like it might be another weirdo like you, seeing as the was no point of entry. We want you to check it out." His voice was gravelly and definitive, a mix of a past in smoking and the simple fact that he didn't care enough to add any flourish to his words.

"Gaaaaaah, but that suuuuuuuuucks." Emily whined out, shifting in her share as leaning backwards over the armrest so she could look the man in the eyes. She made it a point to reiterate how little she liked this job as often as possible, maybe one day they would cave and give her the perks she wanted without all these obligations tied in with them.

The man sighed, bringing his thumb and index fingers up to massage his temples. "Look, if you don't like it, feel free to take it up with the Chief."

Emily cringed, causing the man to smile, he new he had just won. "Eh, whatever." Emily pulled her self together in the chair, then launched up to her feet, the folder in hand. "Just remember this means I've reached my weekly Hero-ing quota, I'm off the clock all weekend." She was trying to justify her surrender, take back a little of the ground she had just lost, but reciting how the system works was clearly an ineffective way of doing it. The man rolled his eyes as Emily walked past. Just a few more years of this shit.
21st Street was a pretty and well-lit area of the street, the drivers were no fools and had clearly avoided sketchier roads, yet apparently that forethought had been in vain. According to the information she was given, the investigators had suspicion of a teleporter, citing the unbroken locks and untouched security panels, as well as the fact that there were no signs of forced entry. This would be a tough nut to crack, especially without any of the impressive forensic tools the force had at its disposal. All the officers and scientists had examined the scene thoroughly and had headed home for the night, if she was lucky some of that information would be disseminated down to her. She wouldn't hold her breath. With no real leads and all the witnesses gone, Emily, or Lumineer as she was known while on duty, decided to sweep a few alleys, readying her taser just in case.

"You have the right to shut the fuck up!"

Bones cracked as Restu's foot shattered the chin of a man. This man was a wanted kidnapper, who managed to so far take at least three children. Restu and her gang had been on the look out for him and managed to track him to one of his vans. He tried to flee, even pulled out a gun to shoot them all down, but the blood trickling down his hand showed that he failed in that regard. Restu had just caught up with him and delivered a solid kick to his face, breaking his jaw and knocking him to the ground. Tee rest of her gang caught up and quickly tied up the man with zip ties and rope. "Take him to a police box and see if they can get him to talk. Let's go back to the van and see if we can pick up any clues." Restu and two of her gangsters went to the man's unassuming green van. The back of it was empty, likely because they caught him just as he was in the process of nabbing another child. They found other junk such as fast food bags, tickets, letters, and other trash. A lot of stuff that didn't really give them much of anything to work off, and the letters themselves were junk mail. The only thing that they had that could possibly led them anywhere was a burn phone. But it hasn't been even activated yet/ "Let's see if we can figure out something from this."

Restu had her gang go out and find someone who could use to burn phone to find a source. Restu in the meantime went on a patrol not too far out; one of her boys mentioned something about a car robbery or something, government vehicle or some such. Apparently a lot of money was stolen, and Restu wondered if she'd get a good reward if she managed to nab the criminal responsible. Soon she arrived to 21st Street, the location were the heist happened. Looked like the police already investigated the area, leaving nothing for Restu to pick up. But she didn't falter, and looked around. She went into the alleyways and searched to see if there would be any sort of evidence of the robbers, but as she searched, she detected another presence. Unsure of what it was, she vanished and watched to see who her guest was.

Lucilia stood up, her rifle hanging by the straps on her shoulders. he kept her hair out of her face as she watched the smoke rising from the building. She handed the rifle off to one of the officers with her as she put a cigarette into her mouth. Another officer reached out to lit her cig as she wordlessly left the rooftop. Reaching to the bottom floor, the entire station was in an uproar, though that wasn't entirely new. The station was always in chaos trying to deal with all the threats and crimes going on in the city. Sometimes Lucilia liked to go out and do a bit of hard work herself, like taking out some loud mouth terrorist and an useless government figurehead. She had been planning weeks trying to figure out how to get rid of Alexander without any link towards her, but that terrorist set things up quite nicely. Not only did he managed to take the mayor without her involvement at all, he even set up a good means to kill him that kept her hands cleaned. Most importantly, the terrorist even ousted a culprit to who shot him; this Omega fellow. Sure the truth of the matter was that she was the one who pulled the trigger, but no would would believe that the New Tokyo Police would have been able to act so quickly and brutally. Well, some might, but it would have been more likely that a certain trigger-happy hero took the shot without their permission, which would have likely happen anyways. And least of all would anyone believe that it was the Chief of Police who held the gun when it killed the mayor.

Lucilia returned to her office, which was much more quiet than the chaos brewing outside. More paperwork was stacked on her desk, with her various "Interns" dealing with it. She didn't have to life a finger to run the force; all she needed to do was tell one of her chief officers what she wanted, and they knew how to get it done. She could have probably cleaned up the city of all it's criminals if she wasn't profiting from them. Plus it gave her some good publicity when she kept those super-powered freaks meaningful to society. Otherwise they'd be super powered freaks that everyone would want dead, which would be a pain to actually go through with.

Lucilia went to her chair and reclined in it, resting her feet upon a briefcase containing some recent "files" from some crimebosses in the city. She took out her .40-75 revolver and began to clean it, much to the worry of her inters trying not to attract her attention, and subsequent anger or boredom.

All the profanities around the world in every language have probably slipped from this woman’s vulgar mouth as she ran, half panting half cursing, down the alley away from the NTS station, away from the sounds of gunshots and screams. A few more steps and profanities and she was heaving like a fish out of water, head tilted up towards the dark sky as she forced her burning legs to continue sprinting until she was wobbling. She kept this up for a good while before she kneed the side of a dumpster, promptly causing her to spin on one foot and crash down onto the paved ground. Her body was limp, too exhausted to curl up and cradle her stinging knee or stand back up and continue running. She was too exhausted and out of breath to mutter even one last profanity, though she did try to for few moments.

When she had calmed down and wasn’t straining for breath, she stood back up and examined herself over. Her black, baggy cargo pants had some small tears on the thighs, though the pouches were fine. She adjusted the webbing straps over her leather jacket and zipped it up. A final glance over her brown combat boots and tactical belt left her satisfied with what she managed to escape with. She raised both of her arms to look at the two Uzis firmly held by her trembling hands. Was it excitement? Fear? No, it was exertion after her sprint, a struggle to make sure she didn’t drop them. She double-checked her equipment again to make sure, but alas, there were no holsters.

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

I was shot.

Her eyes slowly opened, blankly staring into the sky as if unable to comprehend her own words.

I- no, he was shot.

She shook her head, before her face contorted into a cruel snarl.

Guanyin was shot. Guanyin… was shot. I was shot. Guanyin was… I was shot! I, I’ll-!

She chuckled halfheartedly, and then continued to giggle until it escalated into a venomous snickering before finally ending as a cruel and hysterical laughter.

Interesting!” she mused when her laughing fit subsided. “So he thinks he can get away with that, huh?! I’ll kill him! I’ll fucking murder him! No, I’ll do much worse! Just you wait, Omega!

She started moving forward, teetering left and right as she shuffled through the alley.

I’ll make sure to break you! Not for Kostrat… Not for Yvonne… Not even for our deal! I… I don’t care anymore about that anymore. Guanyin doesn’t care anymore.

She paused, feeling the sore pain shiver up her limbs to her spine. She licked her lips in anticipation.

We just want to hurt you. I just want to hurt you sooooo~ bad!

She started giggling again, but forced herself to swallow hard to stop. For now, she needed some place to lay low while the heat burns out its fuse. A quick glance around only revealed the walls of apartments that lined the alley, a fire escape, and a duo of dumpsters. She clicked her tongue in annoyance before continuing on her way, deciding that stalking the alleys was safer than invading someone’s house and silencing them.

Hopefully, the police force in New Tokyo isn’t too tenacious…

Erebus watched from the roof of one of New Tokyo's many high rises as the last of the the officers and investigators trickled out of the alley, they hadn't found anything, they never did, he made damn well sure of that. It was foolish to return to the scene of the crime, Erebus knew that, but he took too much joy in watching them comb over the scene again and again, looking for any clue, any crumb of information; and, he was quick to remind himself, on the off chance that they ever did find something it was better he be there to deal with it immediately.

A man walking by on the street below happened to glance up, funny little people thought to look up, even in a city as vertical as this, and and gave Erebus a quick wave. Erebus acknowledged him with a nod as the man below went along his way, Erebus had never understood the powered criminals who went about in big flashy costumes, so much easier to pass unnoticed in his motorcycle leathers.

Erebus stood there a moment taking in the site of the city skyline in the hot night air, he turned to leave as movement near the alley drew his gaze downwards once more. A young woman walked into the alley, she didn't look like police but she was examining the scene more closely than your average passerby would. With mild interest Erebus watched her conduct her search, poking through the alley, until she suddenly hid herself among the shadows.

Another young woman who looked about the same age as the first, though not likely a friend from her reaction, started conducting her own search. With a start Erebus realized he recognized this newcomer, One of the governments new sponsored heroes, he remembered seeing her on tv at some point, but couldn't recall what her name was, only that her powers had something to do with light manipulation.

"Well, looks like things are finally getting interesting" Erebus said to no one but himself, though out loud nonetheless.Stepping back into the shadow of the roof top exit Erebus vanished, appearing fractions of a second later behind the woman he recognized as a hero.

"Hello" he said, his voice stretched and metallic thanks to his helmet "are you looking for something?"

"Hello," A voice spouted from behind Emily. She jumped. A quick pivot put her face-to-face with the origin of the cold, metallic greeting. A man had snuck up behind her in the alley at some point, and the now alert young heroine took in as much as she could about the apparent ninja. He was taller than her, not surprising, around 6 foot if she had to guess. He was thin, and clad in dark colors from head to toe. He had clothing covering most of his body, including a biker helmet on his head and gloves on his hands, but from the slivers of skin she could make out, the man was caucasian. He was armored, the black jacket padded with some kind of reinforcement. "Are you looking for something?" And he was suspicious.

Following through with her startled jump, she gave an exaggerated sigh of relief, it was better if she didn't look like she suspected anything. "Sheesh, you scared me. Don't you know not to sneak up on people like that?" She straightened out her posture and stood upright. "As a matter of fact I am, maybe you can help me. But would you mind losing the helmet first, it is kind of creeping me out?"

Erebus laughed, a cold unnatural sound when filtered.

"No I'm afraid the helmet will have to stay, I assure you I have" he glanced around the alley and took a few idles steps "Though if you let me know what it is you're looking for I'd be more than happy to help, though I feel I should let you know there were some police hanging around here earlier, could be something dangerous"

Void finished his can of beer, just in time for a small computer to begin buzzing. He walked over his large dirty stained green rug, to an old damaged teachers desk where a high tech computer sat. He took a look seeing it was a notice of a meeting going down with the head of the Dokuro clan, and his two enforcers. He smirked as he pulled up a file on Choji Namakura the left hand of Mr.Dokuro. He'd been keeping tabs on Choji for quite some time, as the Dokuro clan was in his weekly file of gangs he had to take down. The Dokuro clan had quite the impressive reputation for human, and drug trafficking. Void intended to put a stop to it today, as he didn't feel like this planet should live in so much filth. He began to prepare the weapons he'd bring with him, along with update a file on his power usage recently. It wasn't often that the police really bothered with Void, as he did his assigned jobs, and filed his reports. So he was allowed to do pretty much anything needed to get the job done, so long as things didn't escalate into mass bedlam in the streets. He soon looked at the traffic cameras, after triangulating Choji's position. He'd snuck into Namakuri's own home, and injected tracking nanites into Choji.

Void's plan was a simple one find the meeting place, and kick the ass of everyone inside. Then hand them over to the police for his wad of cash, as he had to make a living somehow. He had to eat somehow seeing as the nanites required a good amount of proteins to repair Void's body. The last time he'd gone without food while doing missions he looked like freddy krueger, Void shuddered at the thought of that happening again. He soon finished his preparations, and concealed his weapons. Using the parking lot security cameras, he watched as Choji entered a sushi bar with an anime skull with heart eyes, and a fish in it's mouth.
"Huh, Sushi? Sounds good for dinner," He said as he accessed the camera's inside the building.
He examined all the men in the room, and smiled seeing the security was rather sparse. As this just meant his job as going to be all the quicker. He walked to the center of his ware house, and bent down he began to form a portal above the table where Mr. Dokuro, and his two enforcers sat. They were talking something about honor Mr. Dokuro looked rather mad, but none of it really mattered to Void.
Seeing as he jumped down in the middle of their conversation shouting," BANZAI!"

Tuna rolls went flying up into the air, and soy sauce splashed on Mr.Dokuro's face. Void made it worse by kicking the food into the enforcers face, and then shot two of the guards before they could draw their weapons. Then turned to the two enforcers, and jumped down from the table before telling them to come at him. He engaged them in close quarters combat, it was a rather good work out. He got shot several times, and he broke the arm of Choji as he came in to punch Void in the face. He was soon shot in the chin by Mr.Dokuro by a pistol his head bent back before he looked straight at the man, and wagged a finger at him. Before shooting the gun out of the man's hand. He then went back to taking care of the other enforcers, and tied them to each other with zipties. With pretty much everyone apprehended Void took a seat by Mr.Dokuro who was shivering like a leaf, the man for all his posturing was a rather large coward.
"Pass the unagi, and waitress get me some of those little spicy rolls with the tuna" Void said as he whipped some blood from his chin.
The waitress bowed her head before walking off as if she'd seen all this shit happen before. Void had a gun trained on Dokuro as he ate making sure not to take it off of him for a second. When he was done eating he payed for the meal with Dokuro's credit card, and zip tied him and left him in the corner.
"Sorry for the mess, and thanks for the meal. Sorry for having to tie you guys up too. Though I can't just let you let them get away now," He said to the wait staff who were also tied up.

He then left the room belching out, and began to stretch his suit shifting into something way less conspicuous. So as to make traveling the streets much easier, without getting attacked. He yawned out tiredly as he'd eaten his fill, and then some. He was gonna feel bloated for a while, he walked down the street whistling a small tune that was stuck in his head.

Heavy, slow breathing. The mechanical cogs and conduits span and sputtered as inside the dark, warm helmet the man's eyes tried to analyse the events. While terrorist attacks were new to Tokyo, there seemed to be much more to this tale than some petty Muslim extremist.

"Hmph. Omega. Whoever named themselves that really needs to find a bit less a cliche name."

The man sighed, standing up with his prosthetic and synthetic body. Taking a few trudges to the corner of his small room, he grabbed a pole with a cloaked arm and gloved hand, using it to yank down a ceiling panel. The figure took a few more steps up this staircase to what should be an empty loft, used for storage for unwanted things. But nothing in this small apartment block was what it looked like. Inside this loft were 4 dusty canisters, attached to the wall and large enough to contain a human being. A light flickered up on the left panel of the wall, waiting for something.

"Sicarius, activate."

Smiling, the figure took off his cloak, revealing a mutilated body. His left leg all mechanical, and his right leg fleshy up to the knee. His torso peppered with mechanical ribs and leathery shoulder pads, connecting his body to his both prosthetic arms. The pistons in his limbs were powerful, as he stood in a posture better than some healthy peoples'. However, his head was completely covered in metal and plastic. A WW2 gas mask gave him a menacing stare, as his eye sockets were tinted over. The breathing came from the respirator attached to his neck, pumping out terrible gas and taking in everything he needed. The cylinder he was staring at slowly opened sideways, revealing a high-tec suit of armour.

"We'll just have to see whether his name lives up to the man."

having walked for minutes with the young child, the figure slowly came to a stop in front of a humble apartment building. The building's lights were all off, not a very encouraging sign, but the child was getting tired of walking, and a tired child was not good enough for her. So, calmly, the figure turned towards the child and spoke in a soft, young tone.

"You may call me Mother, my daughter. I'll get us a place where you can rest your beautiful blue eyes, understood?" She told the girl and stroked her cheek with the back of her hand, before grabbing her hand and leading her to the building's front door.

"Okay, Mother. I'm Annie." The girl mentioned, receiving no acknowledgement from Mother whatsoever.

As soon as they had gotten in reach, Mother pressed the janitor's intercom button. "Excuse me, sir, my daughter and I need a place to sleep at for the night. Would you happen to have a spare room that we could borrow?" She asked nicely, making sure that she was facing the security camera as she did so. Her thick shadows, after all, covered her true appearance. After a minute of silence, a deep and rough voice was heard coming from the intercom.

"Come in."

And once the door slid open, they walked in, to meet a man aiming a shotgun right at them. Naturally, Annie hid herself behind Mother, and the cloaked woman merely tilted her head at the man, while she focused her cursed energy into the palms of her hands, just in case. The man, though, quickly stood down and nodded when she saw the cowering girl. "That girl of yours surely looks like she needs to relax for a while. Right this way, dear." He motioned to the girl, smiling.

Soon enough, they had settled down in a small room with a single equally small bed meant for one visitor. They had been given food and offered clothes, of course only Annie had taken the clothes, as it appeared that the kind man also had a young daughter. After tucking Annie in and hugging her good night, Mother headed for the desk in the room and, with a wave of her arm, made a worn out Grimoire appear onto it. She sat down on the desk chair and opened the book, going straight for the section she was interested in.

Henja walked out into the cold night air, and took a deep breath of fresh air. Or as fresh as one could get in a highly sophisticated city that half floated on water. He cracked his neck as he began to think on what he’d heard before jumping through the portal. It was really bothering him, as he didn’t really have anything else bouncing around his big empty head.

One of his Mr.Dokuro’s subordinates had said, “Why do we cower like dogs before that woman! Why should we pay off one woman we could simply kill. Especially a police officer with such dishonorable ways!”

“Be silent! That woman is of little consequence. Especially not when we have such a big prize ahead of us. Those fools in Azabu tower are so close to giving me the biggest payout for the year,” Mr.Dorkuro had said growling.

“hmm…. Azabu tower huh? Well no harm checking it out, seeing as it’s so close,” Void said shrugging.
He walked down the street after pressing the light to cross turned green. Making his way to one of the skyscraper’s in tokyo where the rich, and famous made their home. He walked up to the building walking inside, and began to take a look around. Though without much to go on he left, or more he was thrown out for bothering the residents. He crossed his arms, as he stood there thinking. Soon his gaze took him to be staring up at the building, as it really was quite glorious to look at. He soon took a seat at a bench as he leaned back letting his meal fully digest finally, as he watched, and listened to the nightlife around him.

Yoshimitsu sat behind a desk in a little family-owed gas station in the middle-class district of New Tokyo. This Yoshimitsu wasn't the real one, who was off doing some business relating to today's big explosion. Something something arming a rebellion something something it's a trap. Either way, this Yoshimitsu was here for a business deal with one of the local gang leaders. He wasn't some gangbanger who was merely a customer; this guy had some nifty robo suits that he was willing to put on the table. If Yoshimitsu could seal this deal, they could have Robo suits for thousands of people by the end of this week. If they reach a demand, Yoshimitsu and his organization could begin producing them along side their regular firearms and weaponry. Such was the way of the Arms Race.

Another Yoshimitsu, one who served as a street vendor, was wondering down the alleys near the location were today's explosion happened. He usually set up shop in one of the restaurants that were willing to house his business, but after that little stunt Yoshimitsu figured that it would be too dangerous to be linked to that mess. He honestly did not agree to such methods; publicized terrorism wasn't going to do much when the laws that should protect the city would do much worse. Though it at least worked in his benefit as well; that Mayor was about to lift various concealed carrying laws that would allow citizens to carry firearms. You'd think that this would be good for business, but Yoshimitsu was successful because he was one of the few people who would sell you a gun without all the unnecessary paper work. All the other "Legitimate" establishment wouldn't sell you one unless you had either a hunting permit (For rifles) or a concealed carrying permit (For pistols) as well as a bunch of other nonsense that made things harder for the normal man to be armed, like a five day waiting period. And that was just some of the "Basic" laws; Japan has much stricter regulations on weapons even after the whole Alpha thing. Lifting the law that required the concealed carrying permit meant that legitimate businesses would be able to sell to more people, meaning that less legitimate people like Yoshimistu would lose customers. It was a messy business, but it was necessary if Yoshimitsu wanted to say relevant.

As this Yoshimitsu continued to wonder through the alleyways, he turned the corner and was face-to-face with a ragged looking woman. She had two Tech 9 (Also called Uzi's) in her hands, and her breath was a mix of ragged and heavy. She had been on the run recently, and looks like she got caught in something as well. This strange woman looked like she was ready to fight, though Yoshimitsu wasn't interested in getting into one right now. He was, however, curious as to what the woman was doing here. "Rough day?"

Inside a penthouse apartment in one of New Tokyo's many skyscrapers, lived a rich businessman and his wife. They had the perfect lifestyle. With an unlimited source of income with which they could buy anything, even people, life was like a walk in the park for them. Even the husband's cheating didn't faze the wife. After all, if she didn't have him, she wouldn't be able to buy designer clothes every day. And Nightshade knew all of that because she'd been watching them for days.

Right now, both of them would be out for hours, which was perfect for her to be slinking around the place, looking for one particular item. The apartment was full of valuables. She couldn't understand how the man could afford some of the things when the rest of them perished outside. Resisting the urge to nick something just to spite them, Nightshade looked on. Her instructions had been clear. Steal the chip, only the chip, with no casualties, and you will be rewarded handsomely. She smiled as she found the safe which she was sure held the item. Instead of wasting her time cracking it, she took off her glove and swept her blade across her palm, barely flinching as a generous amount of blood oozed out of the wound. She placed her palm on the cool surface and watched as the acid began to work its wonders. It was at this crucial moment that the front door opened and the occupants of the apartment came back.

"The mayor's dead! I can't believe this!" Nightshade heard a man's voice exclaim. Cursing inwardly, she looked around the room for exits. Her acid still hadn't finished eating through the metal and she needed time. Come on, damn it... she urged silently.
"Yes, it will be. Damned terrorists!" she heard the man again. His footsteps sounded like they were coming closer and Nightshade ducked under the bed just as he stepped inside and turned on the light. He was a short, bald man with thinning brown hair wearing a business suit. He was speaking into a phone as he walked into the bedroom. "I don't know how I'm going to get my next shipment...what the hell?" he breathed when he saw the gaping hole in his safe. He couldn't utter another word though as the thief under his bed had rolled out and was holding a knife to his throat. "Say another word and that'll be the last thing out of your mouth," she murmured as she took his phone out of hands and hung up the call. "Open the safe and take out the microchip. Nice and slow." The man obeyed and brought out a small box. On being urged by her, he opened it and showed her a small chip sitting innocently inside it. She smiled and snatched it out of his hands.

"It's been a pleasure robbing you. Have a nice day," she said, before knocking him unconscious and letting him fall to a heap on the floor. She then climbed out of the window and quickly made her escape.

The suit shone beautifully, like a gem out of an ordinary mine. Something that no one should think exists, not in this ragged place. Shinobi grabbed a long, black jumpsuit out of a nearby chest of drawers, putting it on and zipping the back. It was a tight fit, but it had to be for the "biosuit" to work properly. It was the reason he was the way he was, this majestic piece of machinery. If the people of New Tokyo, or even the world, knew about their potential then the man would be in chains in a day. It wasn't too hard to keep these hidden; reverse psychology. Why would a weapon-ised, disabled and radiated man live in such a dirty, filthy and built-up area?
The suit fit perfectly, just like it usually does. It was hand-tailored to him and only him, made to adjust to his many disabilities and prosthetic limbs. His spine snapped, using an ingenious technique to bypass it and still be able to use his legs. This suit, Sicarius, was made to be the fastest and nimblest exoskeleton in the world. The gang that commanded his every move and engineered these awesome suits were a mystery to him, but before they were seperated, he was told of his goal. Begin a revolution. Restore the peoples' power. Show the world that the media is taunting us, the government dictating us, and how they are wrong. That was his mission. And why would he disobey the people who not only saved his life, but improved it?

After 5 minutes of clipping and reinforcing every individual plate and piece onto his body, Shinobi felt strong and powerful again. The power he had lost in the horrible nuclear accident felt like it was back. He felt like he could jump across the skyscrapers. And as he opened the rooftop door, Shinobi saw his goal; the Mahogany Tower. A strange little accident-of-a-skyscraper, engineered by the Germans to serve as a civil place of politics and diplomacy. But this was Japan, and after that war, no such thing was going to return. Unless Karagin got his way. It was easily half a mile away, but it wasn't far. No, not in the Sicarius suit. Tensing his muscles, Shinobi dashed from the door on the rooftop to the edge. The pistons and mechanics inside him and the suit working in overdrive, he was about to pull almost an inhuman feet. The energy was transmitted, and leaping, he soared across the sky. The skyscraper beneath his feet was gone, and instead replaced by another about 30 metres away. He rolled before picking up even more speed, reaching 20mph, scaling across another skyscraper at incredible speeds.
Inside his helmet, Shinobi's eyes flickered over a dizzy HUD.

"25mph, keep it tight, man. Keep it tight."

Jumping again, this time the skyscraper he aimed for was higher than he could reach. Instead he did something that most people would think was a bit dangerous; smashing through a glass window into a populated office. No matter, though the man. Who would stand in the way of a 6''8 "robot" approaching 40 mph? He was right. Everybody just screamed and stared in awe as he sprinted from one side of the office block to the other, destroyed the glass window and landing on a less elevated skyscraper. After scaling a few more towering buildings, the building came into proper view. Construction workers and the lot were evacuating, afraid the building would soon collapse after the explosion. It seemed Shinobi was going to take the chance. However, the Mahogany building was far taller than any other surrounding skyscraper, to show its power and dominance over the lesser people. It seemed that plan failed, though. Now it was crumbling.

A crane was situated just perfectly where they were unloading new bricks and glass panels to a new floor. It was almost too convenient.Although Shinobi could jump high, he couldn't jump 200 metres in the air. Instead when he leaped, a grappling hook extended from his arm, reaching the tip of the crane just as he leaped. The silvery metal-clad man swung around the side of the building, gaining height fast. Not letting go of his grappling hook, he darted across the vertical wall with his spiky soles, going completely behind the building and the crane. With the grappling hook pushed to its limits, he leaped off the wall of the building, still holding onto the hook. Feeling the wind rush past his neck was exhilarating, like he was flying. Incredible. The rope stretched as he arced with the rope, causing the downwards energy he was falling at to channel right back into upwards momentum, sending him rocketing to the top floor.

Like a feather, his feet touched the solid ground (for now) of the Mahogany Tower. And there laid the crater, with two mutilated bodies and a camera waiting to be examined.

The white dressed man left his apartment and headed straight to an opposing window, with a quick glance on a watch he wears on right arm he would simply jump out of it. With a slight thumb and only a second later he could be seen how he landed on one of the many hover trains running through the city. The trains themselves were made out of many different wagons running on a small steel line, nearly hovering (hence the name), each heading on one main-line to many other places inside New Tokyo.
Surgeon had his left hand tightly gripped in the uneven surface of the wagon he landed on. The cybernetic arm was now infiltrating the systems of the wagon and sended all information it had directly to Surgeon. It was empty and originally intended to Burokuro, one of the many financial districts inside new Tokyo. Well this little wagon would now he hacked and so taking a slightly different route close to the Mahogani tower. As the wagon took the route close to it, the system of the wagon warned him that ths route was now closed thanks to the NTPD. Surgeon allowed to take the wagon to take another as he then pushed himself off, right in time he passed the line of the Mahogani tower and his left arm snatched towads it. His left hand clenched onto the line which was originally meant to guide the hover wagons and his cybernetic hand imitated the form of those of the wagons and overdrived the systems at the same time, within seconds the man was at the Mahogani tower and then hurled himself onto the line.

A single white figure standing onto a hover line, well that was something people woudn´t see that often but that was also the reason why they did not matter to chek, furthermore too many views were centred on the still smoking building.
"Replay the news material, check with surrounding and calculate entrance of bullet and so show angle on which it entered"
Within a second the bionic eyes done their work and would project a full emiter of view and angles and furthermore a full list of weapons which could even disturb the track of a bullet but even consider them, the whole diagrams and over-lapsing calculations were showing one spot and depending on how easy it was to enter and to leave it was certain that this was the shooting spot. It was non-suprisingly the New Tokyo Police department.
Surgeon jumped off the hover line into a near alley and made his way to the building which he think the shooter has shot from. Using his left arm he hauled himself quickly ontop of the police department using a kind of x-ray scan to keep himself from unwated views from inside the building.
After some minutes of climbing he finally reached the top, a normal human would have been dead and if not deadly exhausted for Surgeon only a small drop of sweat was running down his right arm like a badass.

The sensors in his eyes were showing him where the culprit behind the shot was presumably standing or rather kneeing.
" Differ wave length of light and filters stray of gun powder" A small infra red light were shortly emitted from his eyes as then suddenly small particles on the ground were emitting a bright yellow, what surgeon did was simple, he emitted a wave length which brought the nitrogen inside the gun powder to decrease and so to to jump into another energetic level but since that would be unstable it´s emitting the now "thrown" out energy as heat and light and this light here was proving that a gun has been fired.
Surgeon got to his knees and changed the wavelength to all kinds since he found another interesting thing, smoke~ or rather nicotine filled smoke, who ever was up here had a cigarette after or before he did his work.
Surgeon gathered what was left from the smoke or rather the traces of nicotine and placed the sample inside his white mantle, what he wanted to do was to analyse the amount of nicotine and it´s pureness and so trying to find a brand fitting to it, it was a pure luck shot but maybe the person here had an extra fabulous taste.
Still something was off and Surgeon already was seeing the head of the police or someone in this ranks as a potentional culprit, if he could have found out the location of the sniper, why couldn´t they or rather didn´t want to. Or rather why did nobody noticed the gunshot while it was shot from the department ITSELF.

Surgeon was asking himself many things and so nearly missed the call of his home computer who sended him the information he demanded on Guanyin.
Surgeon often heard the name in the past and it´s unlikely that this person is still the same, he has often been declared dead but this is the first time he has seen a Guanyin taking such dramatic efforts.
The information stated that either Guanyin is a cult-like organization of fanatical terrorists, Guanyin is a superpowered entity like that can take control of many different bodies or Guanyin is a superpowered entity that can reincarnate herself into different bodies.
It was weird, some somewhat more less hidden political files even state that Guanyin´s are saying and acting very alike when taking hostage, that would rather lead to the conclusion that this so called Guanyin is a strong entity since the patterns of people it´s not the same. It does not care what it controls, it just needs hosts and so also the possibility of being a reincarnation is less likely.
Surgeon has already seen many mutants and even some with reincarnation abilities and maybe out of emotional reasons or sheer habit those always choose hosts which are alike.
Further information state that Guanyin was eventually even active before the war~ and that it´s active in all kind of companies and branches and so in hold of firearms, prototypes and so on, it nearly was random but somewhere Surgeon would find a red string connecting them all, the string was just hidden by the sudden flash of information storming his brain.
THAT awakened Surgeon´s interest in such a way that he wanted to know what´s behind those Guanyins, what are they, who is the person behind them and...if he could dissect them.
If this was a mutation, and Surgeon hoped it was since any other bio engineered and simple crafted mind control device would be quickly hacked by him and so getting bored or he would look at it and his mutation would tell him how exactly it works. But a mutation? That´s different, a mutation needs to be discovered, it needs to be isolated and then it could be reproduced. Such a great succeed would boost his career and redeem his evil deeds in his past~ He once tried it with his own self but well~ cloning himself isn´t nearly that much fun, it was even sad to see that many clones didn´t even reached his level of intellect what a shame, he had to dispose them~ He gased them because when a german can do ONE thing it is gasing someone~

Either way, a sudden dark urge was quickly overwhelming surgeon from inside as he made his way through the city~ Out of sheer dark and lustful excitment the voice of Surgeon was gaining a sudden deep tune and a german accent and he whispered to the unknown entity in a unsivereal meaning that there is a possibility that he could hear, could feel what will await him.

"Ohh~ i am getting you Guanyin. Du bist das Fleisch~ und ich bin der Jäger, also lasst die Hatz beginnen."

And in all his wrapped up thoughts he ignored the sensors who were tracking suspicious energy signs and movements ontop of the Mahogani tower, energy signs which are a bit too close to some previous experiments Surgeon worked on. His common sense was tingling~
