Gahh the army of the Potamic is marching north, maybe McClellan will have far more success in the Northern theater fighting a conventional European style army which is what his army was prepared and drilled to fight. Meanwhile Grant steam rolls through the south like he did in the later years of the war. Not only does the Union have the cause of fighting to preserve the union but now has fighting a foreign aggressor which will cause the public suppourt for the war to skyrocket. Well played Byrd Man.

If it's the Civil War era already, the vast majority of those slaves were born into it.

I think it is 12 months (one year), or at least that what is stated in the OP of the OOC tab. The first turn was "shorter" than the rest because it started in April rather than January.
