[IC] The Experiment

Alice was deep in thought, gazing into her bowl like it held all the worlds answers so she didn't realize that a boy had approached her.

"M-my p-power?" she stuttered and cleared her throat, "Oh. My power. I can see everyone's aura like a colorful mist surrounding their bodies. You?" She couldn't believe that this conversation would qualify as her new "normal" conversation.

Sven nodded as he looked at her, he wondered what his was like, hopfully a good one he didn't want to offend or have her see through his strange persona he put up. In an idea to reply Sven looked down at his gloves. The possibitiy of him taking them off seemed idiotic but it was better to show the power than talking. "I have power of disease, Its a strange one isn't it" the boy said smiling as he grabbed another bowl and begining to eat. "so... auras n' steerf thacht ceew, whert like see cerrlers and sterf" the boy said as he finally managed to swallow the food after talking.

Alexis walked out of her room not a wink of sleep that night but why sleep when naps are available at anytime she needed to sleep. It wasn't like a guard was going to intentionally grab her blazing arm just to wake her up.

And anyway she had much more interesting things to do like experimenting with what she could do. Looking around the cafeteria she sat in a random seat, somehow ending up a chair away from the new girl. Alexis smile was the same as the flame was now instead of just on her hand it was covering her hand to her elbow. They were asking about powers and the girls was a bit strange since they were going to be fighters. Well the rest of them were she was going to set a building on fire and see if she could survive. The only problem was the smoke fire caused. But a ventilation mask could be found.

"Umm yeah, I guess it's pretty cool." Alice smiled at the boys attempt at speaking a coherent sentence with his mouth full and looked over to a girl with flames creeping their way up her arm that just sat down a chair away.

"Um, not to point out the obvious, but you're on fire." Alice informed her, "So I'm assuming that's your power?"

" fire can smell your fear from here." She said giving of her creepy normal smile the fire moving back down her arm leaving no burn marks. " but your assumption is right, but not all of us will let you know that easily. " She smiled before the flame sent a few sparks flying as it ate up the paper in her hand reducing it in seconds.

"Oooookay, good to know. Thanks." Alice smiled hesitantly and sat back to admire the colors around the people of the cafeteria. Most seemed relatively harmless, but several burned bright and slightly menacing, like the girl a chair down.

"So um, my name is Alice, and you guys are?" she asked.

Sven scooted away from the woman carring his bowl with him, fire wasn't something he enjoyed, the infection in his body only made it worse, as he liked to believe. Now closer to the aura reader he whispered towards her. "I don't think you need to read auras to tell she's a bit nuts" he said before stuffing his face and giving a scared glare towards there best pyro.

Alice smiled at the boy "I think you're definitely right," she polished off the rest of her cereal and glanced back at Fire Girl. "She seems quite... burn happy." Alice whispered back to the boy next to her.

" names alexis, nice to meet you too" she could tell those to were afraid of what she could do though in real-time she wouldn't hurt a human that wasn't hurting her.

Turning the fire to her food she burnt that as much as possible before the flame went out, she hadn't heard much commotion from the other two so she decided it was best to eat. Burnt tasted well a bit worse than what her partner had made the day before. She was contemplating just trying what she was thinking or waiting till she could have more room.

The guards lead the teens to the gym. Vlad is standing in the middle of the room. Roxy stands angrily beside him. She is dressed in her usually black leathers. She has been told before breakfast to arrive in the gym easily.

Sven walked with the gaurds he was sure the gym would be harder than before, and a large learning curve. He felt be bit nervous around the new girl but he keep his composure easily. He had met many a harlot not that he called her so, but he was better than to be seduced, and he knew well that should be the least of his worries. Still he was a teenager and it got the best of him. Shaking his head as he looked to the girl in leather his mind was put back into it's it's normal place.

Alice walked down the halls with the guards and other teens, fidgeting with anxiousness, as she didn't know what would happen in the gym. As they reached the doors that must've led to the gym, she followed them through to see a man and woman standing side by side together. The woman, rather, a teen around her age, looked mad, and her aura reflected it to Alice's eyes only. She continued to mess with the bracelets circling her wrist, starting to get a bad feeling about what was going to happen next.

Slade followed after the others at his usual sloth like pace, his face blank and his hands in his pockets. He had skipped eating breakfast and elected to just sit and wait to be called to the gym. As he walked he noted the new arrival with a side glance before he entered the gym and took the same seat he did the day before.

"Good I see our newest arrival is here." Vlad said with a grin. "Come up here Alice. I want to introduce you to everyone."

Alexis walked into the gym and sat in her usual spotlight floor the flame still covering her lower arm. It would go all the way but she couldn't get the sleeve of her outfit any higher than what she had already. It looked like this new girl Alice was going to be fun glad seemed happy with her.

Why me? Why me? Why me? Alice was panicky on the inside, but managed to keep a straight face as she walked up to join the man whom she assumed was Vlad, and turned around to face the teens around her. She looked down at the floor, only glancing up occasionally through her eyelashes and bright hair.

"Yesterday everyone showed the group a talent. Show the group something that you can do without your ability."Vlad instructed. He pulled Roxy with him to the back of the room. He caressed the angry girl's arm.

A half asian girl with an emotionless expression was led into the gym, She huffed as she looked at the strangers around the gym. She crossed her arms, giving a now bored expression.
