Sasha smiled and reached up to give Karn a pat, shifting her hair so he didn't get any in his eyes or mouth, "Ah, sure a drink sounds good" She said, looking up at the sky, as it continued to darken, "We have the curfew to remember, so maybe somewhere close to the hotel?", looking to the others to see what they thought.
Michael
Michael squirmed and blushed when Prince ruffled his hair and pecked his cheek. and nodded, but still wished he could just help Gabriel. "And sometimes the bird falls to their death" He said softly, "Which is what I'm afraid will happen to gabriel" He gave a sigh, and nodded again. "Alright, I want to try and find Zephyr too, congratulate him on the battle" He still felt bad about missing the battle, and hope Zephyr wouldn't mind about it. He had seen the win, but...it wasn't the same
Master Jamie

"hm. Maybe we can paint him white for a day" It wouldn't fool anyone for long, but it would give them some time. "If you find someone who is willing to help, then go with them. Dragon Fang is always willing to help us, but I suggest you don't take any of the high level magics or well known members of Dragon Fang, who will be missed and noticed" Jamie said, "If you need anything, you can ask for it, and we will get it"
Jamie looked to Lucas, "if Mithera is happy to take you, then that's fine. But Dragon Fang has been a valuable ally and reliably friends"
Mayt and Jarvis's Round up Finished
Jarvis gave a sigh, and said "Is there anywhere close to it that we can teleport to and cut the distance and time?" he asked, not expecting a reasonable answer, but he just wanted this over with. It had been a long day, and it didn't need to be any longer.
The thief shrugged, stopping for a moment, and looking back at Jarvis. "The train might be, like, thirty minutes closer. Besides that I can't think of anything besides a few oddly shaped rocks that I use as landmarks."
Jarvis gave a sigh, and motioned for the thief to continue, wishing they had access to a vehicle now. "lets go." he said, continue to walk, nudging the theif into motion, hoping that everything would be alright.
The thief shrugged and nodded, and soon enough they were on their way, Mayt motioning for him and Jarvis to hang just a bit back so they can talk without being heard, but keep the guy in sight at all times. "Well, this individual seems believable enough. How far are we going to trust him?"
Jarvis gave a heavy sigh, and said "Far enough to get us where we need. Not as far as letting him get away, or letting him go with us when we round the rest up" He said, watching the thief not willing to let him out of his sight.
"Alright, got it." He smirked a bit, and jogged to catch up with the thief and began talking with him about his past. Before the thieving and such. Not too much was to be gained from this, but it passed the time, and Jarvis was free to join.
Hours later, they would come a to a rock outcropping, and the Thief would stop, holding his hand up. "The hideout is just around this rock and a good sixty feet. They're probably mostly asleep right now."
Jarvis gave anod, and looked toward where the thief said they would be. Taking out a lacrima, Jarvis said "you can either be imprisoned in the lacrima, or shut your mouth and stay here, and not do anything if you know what's good for you" he said to the theif "got it?"
The thief nodded, and sat down without a word, leaning backwards against the rocks and closing his eyes, letting Mayt and Jarvis go on without him. Mayt nodded, and headed around the rock without so much as a second's hesitation, making a be-line for the cave that was supposedly the hideout. Jarvis would likely be able to catch the shadows of a few people running back in to wake everyone up.
Jarvis moved smoothly, seeing the figures running about, and at once, he activated a lacrima, shadows snaking out to grab the watchers, as he followed after Mayt, another lacrima in his hands, ready to activate it, soon catching up with Mayt, he hissed out "Don't go in without a plan, damn it! You're worse then Jamie!"
Mayt turned around, holding his hands out as shouts of surprise echoed through the cave. "I did have a plan, it involved giving them a chance to surrender before I kick their asses," he grinned and turned back around, continuing to walk. Soon enough, the band of thieves had assembled at the mouth of their little hideout, and he stepped towards them, and spoke with a loud voice.
"Alright! I am Mayt Derrin Marris, S-Class Wizard of Phoenix Wing. I have come here to deliver an ultimatum that I think is far more lenient than what most anyone else would give." A couple gave skeptical looks, and most were brandishing weapons, but they believed him enough to not attack. "I promise amnesty to every single one of you who surrenders and have some kind of magic, provided they join a light guild. Those of you who don't have magic, I can't really do as much, but I can try to get you off with a little as possible. Those of you who are thieving for your families, I'll try to find some jobs they can do to stay fed and clothed. The last part goes whether or not you surrender, but the trying to get you a short sentence is not something I can do if you attack me. So, that's your choice. Surrender, get off with a probably shorter sentence, your families get provided for, and you don't get your ass kicked. Or get you ass kicked, your families get provided for, and you get a longer sentence." He grinned, crossing his arms, and discussion went through the ranks of the thieves, most of them looking fairly unsure. Mayt was sure one or two would still take their chances, but not many of them. What he was offering was a pretty damn good deal, or at least, he thought so.
Jarvis rubbed his hands over his face, weary and definitely thinking something was wrong here. Moot that Jarvis had spent much time with Mayt before, but something just seemed off, but he let Mayt take the led, wincing as he went off about giving them a chance. It wasn't up to them, but beyond that, Mayr couldn't make the decision without at least talking with him or Jamie. Sighing, it was too late to do anything so Jarvis would just have to make it work.
He stepped up beside Mayt, but didn't say anything watching them, and generally trying to look intimidating as he stared
The thieves looked unsure about Mayt's proposal, espescially with Jarvis standing right there as he was. One was brave enough to speak up. "And how do we know you'll do all you say you'll do." Mayt shrugged, and put his hands into his pockets.
"You don't, and I don't, but I'm going to do my best to do what I said. If I don't, well, my reputation's kind of shot, isn't it? So if I fail to deliver, at the very least everyone else will know not to trust me, neh? But as it stands, Johnny Law doesn't know your all faces, so I do have some wiggle room I can work in. Though, I'm not letting anyone who's committed murder off free under any circumstances, so keep that in mind while you all make your decisions. Preferably by dawn, since the police will be coming around at some point after that. So, you have my proposal, what's your counter one?" He smiled, and glanced over at Jarvis. The thieves clearly were split about the idea, some wanting to go and give themselves in and others wanting to try and beat Mayt up and get out. "Oh, I forgot to introduce my friend. This is Jarvis. He's basically Master Jamie's right hand man." The opposition would almost go silent, and Mayt would smile a little more, taking his hand out of his pocket and resting it on his sword, anticipating someone to try to run or someone to attack them.
Jarvis took that as his cue to step him, moving forward he said, "believe me when I say I would rather take you all down, but it will be quicker to settle this and have you all go free. My members words are true-Phoenix Wing will make sure all he has offered is upheld, of course if you do somehting to make us take that back, well...that's your own fault. You can chose now, or forfeit your choice and we will bring you in" He said, watching them all, anticipating a wrong move by any of them
After a long moment, one individual started to run, but was grabbed by a couple others and dragged back into line. Apparently a few people realized that they weren't going to get out of this by running or fighting. There was a bit more deliberation before, "Fine. We'll turn ourselves in," there was a soft underdone to his voice that suggested bad things if Mayt didn't hold up his end of his deal.
"Wonderful, grab whatever you want or need to take with." He'd turn as the thieves would start back into the cave. "Jarvis, think you can do any kind of mass teleportation thing? I think eighteen hours of walking would be a bit much, and I need a bit of sleep anyway."
Jarvis flinched as if to react when the guy started to run before being grabbed and stopped. He gave a sigh, and closed his eyes a moment, nodding at Mayts question about teleporting. "I can do that" he said taking out a large lacrima, and holding it out, glad to have this mess sorted out and wondering if everything else would be sorted just as easilt
Mayt nodded, and smiles before turning back to the group of thieves, clasping his hands. He'd then get them to separate out into families, followed by each group, which were mostly ones and twos, with one of seven, getting questioned thoroughly about their other family. After about the third person, Mayt would make Jarvis get him a Lacrima that he could record sound with before going back to question the rest. He'd find out everyone's Family name, how big of an immediate family, if they were supporting them, and so on and so forth. Overall, he'd find that very few of them were thieving just for the sake of being thieves.
Once he was done questioning everyone, he'd head back over to Jarvis, and the whole process would have taken most of an hour. "I don't think I'm going to get to see the games, so lat's take this lot to the authorities and drop me off at a hotel and I'll start helping their families out tomorrow. Or at least, helping the one's that'll let me help them." He turned and motioned that it would be okay for them to mingle again. "Dunno about the ones that aren't here right now though, so I can't help them sadly. But besides that, I think we're all good."
When Mayt had been chosen as an S class mage, Jarvis had been unsure, but hadn't said anything about Jamie's decision. Now..."You're a fine mage, Mayt." He checkd that Mayt had a communication lacrima and a teleportation lacrima, "The ones that aren't here...well they can either take the hint, or end up jailed" he said, looking back.
Mayt smirked a bit, and turned halfway back to the thieves. "Thanks, and let's get these guys to the nearest town and... Actually, I can afford to stop in crocus. Say hi to everyone, and gets a good night's sleep before I start my epic quest to get people jobs." He'd smirk, and give everyone a thumbs up, walking towards them.
Jarvis nodded, "Alright then, lets go" He said, more then happy now to use a teleportation lacrima just to get it over quick enough, and he took a mass one out, sending them all back to the nearest town in moments.
Once Jarvis teleported everyone to town, the police station was swamped with the thieves. Either having Mayt turn them in because they thought they could get off, and some turning themselves in. By the time Mayt was finished there it was well past midnight, and he looked exhausted. "Alright, if it's not too much trouble, I do want to say hi to everyone in Crocus and get a nice long sleep in." He stretched and yawned, smiling, and he'd look at the police station. "See? Not everyone who breaks the law is a bad person. Some just don't have a better choice... Also, you must be tired as hell Jarvis. You've been up since, what, yesterday morning? Is Jamie so reckless that you're used to not getting sleep?" The last part was clearly half joking, half pointing out he knew the two relied on each other quite heavily.
Jarvis wearily nodded, taking out another lacrima, wondering why it was always when he got a stock of them that things seemed to happen. He didn't dwell too much on that, instead saying "I've been up for longer before, and no doubt I'll be up longer still" Jarvis said, wanting to check that Amelia was alright, and that nothing else had happened since he had left. Somewhere along the line his anger had abated, and he supposed he should speak with Jamje as well. Without another word, Jarvis teleported them to crocus and the guild hotek
Mayt nodded, yawning and stretching some. "Alright, well." He said, taking off his glove over his guild mark. "Make sure you do get some sleep eventually though please." Mayt would say to Jarvis before going up and getting the key to his new room and coming back, looking about the main room. "What time is it?"
"late" Jarvis replied, after speaking with the manager, making sure there were no more problems. Despite one member being carried in, and other issues, nothing seemed too bad. For whochJarvis was greatful. "go and try to get some sleep. Everything's fine here, and dawn isn't too far off. No doubt Jamie will be banging on everyone's doors in a few hours@
Mayt smiled softly, and nodded at Jarvis's comment. "Alright, I guess I'll head off to bed. Sleep well Jarvis." he smiled at the older mage, and headed up the stairs to his room fairly quickly, though he'd try not to wake up everyone. When he got to his room, he'd unlock and open the door silently, closing it the same way. It would take him a moment to remove his belt and set it on the floor next to the bed, but he didn't worry about his clothes besides brushing some dirt and such off before climbing into the bed and lying on his back. By the time he got to sleep, the throw pillows had ended up on the floor, and his arm was resting against the edge of the bed in such a manner it would be easy for him to reach down and grab his sword.
