Angelo groaned loudly as he struggled even harder to get free feeling like he was twisting his own bones to resist their shape from Angelica's shadow possession but Angelo didn't want to do this, this was his chance to prove himself to everyone not be the pawn of the enemy so Angelo had to do something before he does something he will regret Angelo tried to make a bolt and shoot it backward in the hopes of getting the girl but it missed so Angelo had to think of something else. Angelo realized he was being controlled by a shadow so if he was light then their wouldn't be a shadow to hang onto. Angelo forced his body to comply even a little so he could say " lightning magic-zues-" then she covered his mouth again to stop him from saying it which meant that he was right! if their was no shadow their was no possession so he signaled for Jamie to help him move his hand or anything so he could say his spell...

[Damian] Damian timed his counter attack perfectly, sliding under the attacks and ramming his shoulder into the girl, knocking her back and away from where she'd started, switching to the Ares Blades and then summoning a Blade Shield to catch one of her attacks as she countered upon recovery. "Yes, very well then. How does it make you feel knowing you've torn apart innocent guilds just to feed your own greed?" He summons a piercing blade as he slashes horizontally, one of his few spells that had to be dodged. "We will bring down your corrupt government, rest assured. And I will beat you." Following up the piercing blade, he sends out a triple blade strike, sending out a second and third piercing blade, to keep her moving, and then dropping a sword blade from above in an attempt to surprise her. [James] "So you think, dark one." Moving forward, James began to prove how fluid and skilled he could be, even with a sword and shield. He moved in quickly, slicing from the right horizontally, but had the blow blocked. Spinning back away, the shield found it's mark with the right side of Angelica's body knocking her off balance enough for the light magic sheathed blade to leave another cut on her arm, this one feeling as though the arm had had a chunk of meat torn from it. Her counter, an attempt to use his shadow against him, was countered with a use of Holy Might, which also gave his blows more oomph. Rolling forward and standing inside Angelica's guard, James head butted her then caught her head as it went back and slammed his knee into it. As she stumbled away, if a tad involuntarily, he blasted her with another Divine Light, which put her on her knees after colliding with a wall. "Surrender dark one, you can't hope to beat us."

Karn's ears perked as he smelled another feline and his emerald eyes looked around the room. He managed to spot the black figure, recognizing it as Kali, whom hissed and meowed viciously. His fur fluffed, fluffy tail lashing side to side as he crouched when the black cat jumped onto the table with him. As Kali lunged, Karn quickly rolled onto his back and kicked the black feline, flinging her over him and off of the table. A cat would be fine and would just land on their feet, so Karn quickly climbed into the man's lap, curling in a crouched ball. Ears flattened with fur fluffed, giving a meow at his attacker. This was a predicament. He hadn't expected to be found by the black feline and be outright attacked. She just seemed like a regular cat and he could handle her easily if he changed, but that would blow his cover and make this mysterious man possibly nervous and think Karn was trying to ambush him or something.

Mayt sighed as the woman threatened them, and turned to face her. "Funny, I didn't think we were doing anything wrong." He drew his sword almost casually, holding it diagonally across his chest as he approached the council mage. "We were just hoping to get some information t help another one of our guild-mates, and you just come along and start yelling at us. I personally don't appreciate it at all." He focused the heat he always kept around him to the edge of his sword again, but was careful, anticipating she'd throw another one of her attacks, and hoping he was right in assuming it was just focused heat with no force. "It's what someone with something to hide would do honestly."

Lazarus clenched his fists in surprise when everyone came crashing in. He watched the events unfold, and Master Jamie was wrapped in shadow. Jamie called out his and Sasha's names. Whether the master wanted them to run or not, he didnt know. His eyes narrowed. "Do not fear master..." He paused for effect. "We will defeat these two." He was referring to the twins. "Easy? Ha! You know... you shouldn't underestimate the man who is about to put you on your ass." He cracked his knuckles, and removed his white jacket. He wouldn't give them the chance to do anything first. "Regulus impact!" He held his palm out, firing a beam of light magic towards the chest of Ted. He grew his wings and acrobatically jumped upwards, grasping Sasha, bring her into the air too. "Now Sasha!!! We will defend Phoenix wing!" If she looked, his expression was filled with fury. He looked like a man who would die for the cause.

Maddox surveyed the scene. James had jumped in to battle Angelica, Jamie had begun trying to break Angelo out of the spell, and Lazarus and Sasha began fighting the twin Council Members that arrived. With a sigh, his angry expression reverted to his standard serious one. "I'm not needed here," he said, loud enough to ensure that everyone heard him. "I'll just keep anyone else from interfering." He looked over at Sayuri and motioned for her to follow him. Though he could easily get through the battlefield without a scratch by teleporting, Maddox instead began walking toward the Council building. Once Sayuri would've caught up with him, he began walking around the fights, almost as if they didn't even exist. "We will meet the other, approaching Council Members," Maddox explained to Sayuri, still looking ahead rather than around at the fights.

Carrie just maintained her expression, and maintianed her constant barrage of defense attacks. "How does it feel? How does it feel, knowing that you will lose here? Knowing that you cannot succeed against those that are more powerful then you? How does it feel?" Light flashed again, more powerful then before, and the crack thundered, again and again, destroying any attack, and aiming towards Damian, towards Mayt. "Your master has challenged the Council, foolishly. And you shall pay for that" carrie's voice rose above the thunder, the noise, and she stepped forward. ---- It would seem that Angelica didn't feel the pain from the cuts, didn't even notice them. As she fell to her knees, she waited. Waited. "I don't have to hope, when I know I will win" she pulled Angelo to her, "I know your weakness, you and your whole guild. You won't destroy a fellow member. Pity, as this fool is under my control" the shadows swirled, as she rose, seeming to cover the room, as if aiming to swallow everything within. "Angelo! Break free! Look within yourself! Damn it, she doesn't get to do this!" Jamie yelled, refusing to attack, to make any move to reah Angelo. Glancing towards Maddox he said "get the book!" ---- The twins laughed, almost in sync. The wind picked up, thrashing, like a storm, and water spun in a spiral, using the wind. The two worked in sync, a slight movement, a blink of the eye, a slight hitch in breathing, they knew it all, and they faught effectively together. Sasha lowered her eye lids against the wind, watching what was happening. The way they worked together, it was almost...psychic. But a water mage. She could work with that. "Ice make: bird Bombers!" They formed, her fat, round, ice birds falling towards the twosome, and she knew that they probably wouldn't land, but she didn't need them to, as she shouted at Lazarus to let her go. When he did, she fell towards the water, which froze as soon as she reached it, and she moved down the froEn spiral easily, as her bird Bombers landed. The wind picked up, if that was possible, and it was all sasha could do to maintain her balance. "Ice make! Tiger impact!" It formed, and fell down like a hammer, but sasha knew it didn't hit. She blew out a breath, "ice make! Dragon slide!" The dragon formed, it's mouth opinion, as more water formed. --- Kali pounced towards the Orange cat, claws out. She knew she had to stop anyone getting the book, and this shape shifter was in her way.

Lazarus nodded and let her go, before darting leftt and right as fast as he could before landing in front of Tim. "Where do you think you're going?" His glowing white fist was aimed into Tim's gut with a lot of power, even though it had left Lazarus open. It was worth getting in an early hit. After all, he still had back up plans.

The water formed, a shield against the attack, rushing hard, fueled by the wind from His brother. Timothy just smiled, and then flung out both hands, the water, a tidal wave, lashed towards Lazarus. Sasha wasn't fast enough to freeze if, and then didn't risk it, not knowing where Lazarus was.

Mayt rolled his shoulders. "And what do I have to do with Master Jamie challenging the Council, certainly isn't my fault, I had no idea what he would do, and so I'd appreciate it if you'd leave us be. But seeing as that's unlikely to happen, I guess I'll just have to do my best to shut you up for a bit." He took a step back, sheathing his sword, before running at her full speed, doing his best to try to grab her, anywhere, and draw heat out of her body. Mayt knew this could either kill her, or just knock her out, and he was fine with both outcomes.

[James] "I don't need to go through Angelo to get to you." He rolled over his fellow guild member after ramming his shield edge into his gut, making him double over. "Sorry about that." Landing in front of Angelica, he sweeps her legs out from under her and slams the pommel of his sword into her gut, trying to break her concentration more than actually hurt her. He flipped away from the counter, a combination of forced lightning bolt from Angelo and some kind of shadowy strike from Angelica. *Nothings working...I need something stronger. Smite could work but it's something I save for other occasions...* Still, he couldn't give up and threw a Divine Right on Lazarus, increasing his light magic's potency and a Unforgiving Wrath on Sasha, improving her ice magic's potency as well. They weren't from his normal repertoire though, and were spells he'd only recently found in another book he'd found perusing the library in Magnolia. Standing up, he placed his shield in front of him, waiting. [Damian] "Mighty confident, aren't you? That's alright, makes knocking you down a couple pegs more fun." He stood his ground and switched to his Hercules Blades. He'd done a little bit of testing with some of Sasha's spells when he wasn't on jobs over the last few months and none of them had stopped any of the swings. Based on that knowledge, even Carrie's fancy light and sound show couldn't stop them. Still, this was intense.

Karn quickly lept off the man's lap so the stranger didn't have to be in the crossfire of claws. Quickly turning, the orange feline reached up his forepaws and clung his claws to the black cats shoulders, fangs digging into the scruff fur before throwing Kali off the man's lap. Spitting and hissing, his back legs kicked a bit at the belly fur before flinging himself away. His back arched and his fur fluffed and bristling. Tail lashing from side to side as his ears pinned back, letting out a hiss of warning to the other feline to stop. It wasn't the first time he'd fought a cat in his cat form. After all, he had lived as one for a entire month. Preferably, he would rather not fight, but he had at least try and get the book. He may have no choice at this point but to change and ask the man for the book.

His strike didn't really have much of an effect on Tim. Lazarus widened his eyes, as he was suddenly hit by a wave if some sort. He was swept away and carried to the back of the room, where he lay crumpled by the magic, soaking wet. He cracked his neck. Fuck... that was some magic power. He was truly honest with himself deep inside. Him and Sasha weren't advanced enough to take on council wizards just yet like this. Maybe it was time to use... it. He forced himself up and cracked his shoulders, before changing forms. "Satan's grip." Horns grew from his head and his skin turned dark. His hands were filled with dark energy. "Sasha. We must defeat these two as quickly as possible." He smirked. "Keep doing what you're doing, but how about instead of partnering up with an Angel, you partner up with a god." He pushed his chest out and ripped off his shirt, now only in his sopping wet tank top. He could do this. Aiming at Tim, he would now go for it. "You bastards... stay away from our guild! And stay outta my way!" He took a stance and took a deep breath. "Belowing roar... of the light god!" He fired the light energy from his mouth straight at Tim. It was true. Lazarus was a god slayer. An uncontrollable one at best, but it explains all the years in accumulance he was missing from Phoenix wing. "Lets see you take on the power of a god!" He roared. "Sasha. Lets blow these guys away..." He looked furious, he eyes glowing.

Carrie watched as Mayt came towards her. She blinked, once, twice, and then moved, so as not to be in Mayt's way, aiming an attack at him as she moved. She wasn't afraid of fighting both at once, nor was she afraid of losing. The Shy, timid girl was gone. "I grow weary of this" Her attacks intensified and now she aimed to hurt, to defeat the two guild wizards. The light attacks formed around her, defending her, as she moved towards Damian, figuring him for the more dangerous of the two. ----- Angelica took the attacks, withstanding them. Waiting for the attacks to cease, watching James as he stood with his shield waiting. She sighed, and stepped forward, her shadows moving, working, almost dancing around James. She smiled, deadly, as the shadows seemed to create a claw around James, not touching yet. "My puppet, you really need to step up your game. Go on, attack your guild master" She said, the shadows around Angelo tightening, as she held up a hand, and closed it, the shadows around James closing in. ---- "Oh, this one thinks he's all that, doesn't he?" Ted said to Tim, letting the wind Pick up, a whirlwind of wind forming, twisting, aiming towards Lazarus, and the water spiral, again towards Lazarus. Sasha moved smoothly, leaping from the frozen water spiral she was on to the water, and once more as she neared it, it froze. She slid down it, towards the twin that had created it. "Ice make: hawk arrow" it formed, directly in front of her, and towards Tim. She maintained her balance on the ice against the wind, as the attack landed on Tim, sending him flying. The whirlwind of wind loomed on Lazarus

lazarus bent his knees, still in satan's grip form. He lept into the air and used his demonic wings to carry him straight into the whirlwind. "Belowing roar of the light god!" He dispersed the whirlwind with ease and darted forward. Sasha had knocked Tim over. That was his best bet. He clenched his fist and shot straight for Tim. "Nice work Sasha!" He sped forward readying to punch. "Fist of the light god!" He moved at an incredible speed as per usual, but this time, aimed for the jaw of Tim. He landed after making the punch, taking a step back.

Sayuri watches the fighting slightly conflicted. Suddenly Maddox calls her to follow. She pauses before following, *'Please, no one die. As much as I hate Angelica she was once a kind woman... Don't die... Any of you,'* she turns and hurries after Maddox. She listens to Maddox then does a mental head count as she follows him, "Let's see Angelica, Tim and Ted. I can almost garentee Carrie would go to the library. Garne is away at the moment which means we shouldn't worry about him... At the moment. Which would leave Spencer and... My dad..." she looks around then remembers something, "Maddox, Damien and Mayt are in the library right?" then a thought struck her causing her to turn and move in another direction, "I know another place where the book might be! Follow me!"

NO!" Angelo yelled seeing the shadows tighten around master Jamie and Angelo yelled "lightning magic: zues armor!" Angelo yelled and the armor formed which made the shadow around him disappear which let him free then he turned around and she grabbed the girls throat and smashing her body to the ground "this is for controlling me" Angelo paused to hit her hard the ground again "this is for almost choking me" and once more to the ground "and this is for forcing me to attack my master!" And with that Angelo thew the girl to a wall and he threw two bolts at her

Karn hissed as the black cat pounced him again, using all her might to dig her claws into him. Paws outstretched as she pounced, his forepaws pushed against her as he roll to his side. Blacklegs rapidly kicking at hers to prevent further damage. Though he did felt sharp claws rake his belly and left shoulder. Causing blood to lightly seep out. A sudden pain twisted his chest, his throat feeling wet but clogged, causing him to choke and gag. Growling in frustration, he twisted himself as he kicked the other feline away. Coughing a little. *Not now.* Deciding to break his image, not really wanting to hurt the other feline. He crouched, like he was going to pounce. Waiting for the feline's lunge, at that moment he changed into his human form, left hand firmly grabbing the back of her neck, while the others clasped the four paws tightly together. Although he was gentle, he was firm enough so the feline couldn't escape. **"Sorry girl. I don't really want to fight a pretty thing like you."** He said gently with a smile. Mentally check himself over to make sure he was alright for now. Satsified, he looked to the man as he stood up a bit nervously but gave a friendly smile. Like a child caught in the cookie jar by their mother. **"Um, hello sir. So sorry to disrupt your reading like that."** He said softly.

_Abandoning this room is risky,_ Maddox thought to himself after Jamie commanded him to retrieve the book. _If the other council members arrive they may be overpowered through sheer numbers. Then again..._ His red eyes settled on Jarvis, making sure to maintain eye contact. "Keep guard, good sir," Maddox shouted to Jarvis, giving him a wave to make sure he got the message. With that he caught up to Sayuri. "Tell me where it is," he told her, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Be detailed as possible."
