The reflector mage shook his head before meeting the eyes of the young dragonslayer. "Have you ever heard of the curse of the masters? Whenever there is a force that is deemed a threat to the kingdom of Fiore, the guild masters come together to form a curse. It takes a whole day to recite, each master with his or her own part."
Ander's eyes narrowed from behind his hood as he listened to the defeated mage.
"It is then placed within an arrow and placed in the hands of the head of the Jailer guild, a large undercover policing force in Fiore. The arrow is then shot at its target, putting them into a deathlike sleep. From there, the guildmasters hold annual court meetings for eight years to decide on weather the person is guilty or innocent. If guilty, they either execute the perpetrator in their slumber, or let the curse take its final toll on its victim at the end of eight years. If innocent, they can simply do a reverse curse by repeating the actions they used to make the curse, only with different words." The mage let it sink in for a second. "Our real guild leader fell to this curse, but we wanted to find a way to break it. There is a legend of way, but it is dangerous and it can also only be done once every hundred years or so. You must gather and sacrifice four main elemental dragonslayers to obtain enough magical energy to break the curse, unfortunately, it also requires the life of whomever uses that energy to break it. Those elements are fire, water, earth, and wind. We were here to bring down you two, giving us two dragonslayers in one go."
"And I'll consider that a confession." Ander said as he came back down from his perch above. "And on behalf of the Jailers and Fiore, you are hearby sentenced to death for the crime of attempting to disrupt a master curse, war crimes against Magnolia, and attempt to use forbidden arts." Ander raised his left arm and pointed his two fingers at the man.
"B-but wait! You can't do this! YOU'RE NO LONGER-" The mage started, but it was too late. Ander motioned his arm down and from the sky above, his crystal came screaming down, spearing him and completely passing through the man, killing him instantly.
The crystal slowly came back to Ander, the blood effortlessly dripped off of it and it was as clean as if it had never touched its prey. "I don't negotiate with murderous swine." He then turned and started to walk away. at a closer look, someone could see that the black lock emblem on his left arm had an "T" shaped burn scar over it.
