>Greetings Program.

>Many cycles have passed since The Creator; Kevin Flynn and CLU 2.0 were reintegrated, destroying them both and, along with them, the portal to the outside world. During that time, the Grid has fallen into chaos. The Primary Function of each program within the Grid has ceased to operate correctly, resulting in a population-wide attainment of something previously known only to Users and ISO's.

>Free Will.

>Due to this new occurrence, many programs have risen up against each other, each side rallying behind either Flynn or CLU's ideals. The two most prominent programs of these sides are:

>Vakko; A System Monitor and Leader of the United Grid Alliance. He fights for the memory of Flynn and everything that he stood for. Vakko was also the driving force behind the resurgence of the 'Tron Lives' movement.

>Abura; A program who functioned under Dyson's command, fast becoming the Ex-Security Program's protege. After his Master's sudden disappearance, coinciding with CLU's destruction, Abura acted fast to maintain order within CLU's ranks. Using his new-found Free Will, he placed himself where CLU once stood, vowing to accomplish his plan of perfecting the Outside Word.

>Tron City is no more. Early fighting between both factions wrought destruction upon it within a few cycles, leaving only corrupted data particles that once formed the foundations of the city. Since then many new cities have been constructed or expanded. The largest of which is Argon City, which now encompasses most of the Grid, save for the area where Tron City was built. [Referred to only as 'The Corruption']. It serves as the main hub for Programs and remains a neutral city despite areas of the city being claimed by each faction.

>The destruction of The Portal and The Creator also resulted the ability to reproduce. This is simply due to the entire system adjusting to the fact that Users can no longer enter the Grid and thus, there was no longer a way of creating Programs. To accompany for this, the system devised a means of production, whereby two designated Programs, one male and one female, would provide a part of their source code to a Central Program Bank. The CPB would then proceed to test which two pieces of code, taken from many millions of male and female Programs, would fit together with the most optimum results. Once a significant match was found, the CPB would resolve [Rez] the newly formed source-code into a new, function-free Program.

>You are a new Program. You have no Primary Function other than to experience Free Will. You can do or be whatever you want to be. However, you must bear in mind that the current events happening within the system are something that will affect you and could possibly detract you from your Free Will. The CPB has downloaded all necessary data to do with the current events into your personal memory. It has also secretly provided you with a hidden function, one you are not even aware of yourself. To protect the System at all costs.

Ladies & Gentlemen, welcome to...

Nothing really, except for maybe a lore-ish kinda question. Do you have a circuit/outfit color-code in mind? Not really important, but, meh.

And you too, GG!

Soooooooper interested.

I'll shoot questions as they come but for now the only one I have is: Any word on Tron himself?

Edit:
Now that I think about it, if all programs experience this "free will" then their base code should be wiped right? Otherwise they'd want to do what they were programmed to do ergo Tron would want to protect the system. However since every program has free will, so should he and so in other words... Tron doesn't exist O.o

Okay so I edited my last post but I don't know if it registered my edit... So I'll just put it in a new post:

What I said was:

Otherwise they'd want to do what they were originally programmed to do ergo Tron would want to protect the system. However since every program has freewill, so should Tron. In other words... No, I think due to the introduction of Free Will, Programs should be able to choose their own colour-schemes, rather than be a certain colour depending on their allegiances. The UGA and CLU's remnants will generally tend to stick to the original colours of White and Orange, respectively, however.

Okay, so I'll go ahead an explain what Free Will means in this RP. Think of it as a patch, whereby the original functions of every Program has been altered from 'Absolutely have to perform, without question' to 'A suggested task based on a Program's coding prior to the patch'. Now a Program can decide whether they want to follow this suggestion or whether they'd prefer to do something else entirely. Fortunately for you guys, you were created with the patch already embedded into your own source code, which means that you won't receive any suggestion on what to do, you are free to do whatever you like.

In regards to Tron, even despite falling into the Sea of Simulation at the end of Legacy, he would have gained Free Will as well. In fact, it was Tron/Rinzler that introduced the idea that Programs could have Free Will in the first place. When CLU reprogrammed Tron, he essentially just added additional coding to Tron's Function. This, however, would never be able to remain permanent since it clashed with his original Source Code, which was made apparent upon being ordered to kill Flynn. Instead of becoming corrupted, however, Tron's original code overrode CLU's new code, eventually re-writing himself to an earlier state. (Similar to a System Restore for Windows)

The System, which became an autonomous entity after the Reintegration Event, saw what Tron's Source Code had done and went about writing a patch that would allow other programs to do the same.

As far as what role Tron will play in the RP, I can't say. Simply because I don't yet know what I want him to do, or if I want him to do anything at all. He may just be better off being this historical figure that inspires others.
