>Greetings Program.
>Many cycles have passed since The Creator; Kevin Flynn and CLU 2.0 were reintegrated, destroying them both and, along with them, the portal to the outside world. During that time, the Grid has fallen into chaos. The Primary Function of each program within the Grid has ceased to operate correctly, resulting in a population-wide attainment of something previously known only to Users and ISO's.
>Free Will.
>Due to this new occurrence, many programs have risen up against each other, each side rallying behind either Flynn or CLU's ideals. The two most prominent programs of these sides are:
>Vakko; A System Monitor and Leader of the United Grid Alliance. He fights for the memory of Flynn and everything that he stood for. Vakko was also the driving force behind the resurgence of the 'Tron Lives' movement.
>Abura; A program who functioned under Dyson's command, fast becoming the Ex-Security Program's protege. After his Master's sudden disappearance, coinciding with CLU's destruction, Abura acted fast to maintain order within CLU's ranks. Using his new-found Free Will, he placed himself where CLU once stood, vowing to accomplish his plan of perfecting the Outside Word.
>Tron City is no more. Early fighting between both factions wrought destruction upon it within a few cycles, leaving only corrupted data particles that once formed the foundations of the city. Since then many new cities have been constructed or expanded. The largest of which is Argon City, which now encompasses most of the Grid, save for the area where Tron City was built. [Referred to only as 'The Corruption']. It serves as the main hub for Programs and remains a neutral city despite areas of the city being claimed by each faction.
>The destruction of The Portal and The Creator also resulted the ability to reproduce. This is simply due to the entire system adjusting to the fact that Users can no longer enter the Grid and thus, there was no longer a way of creating Programs. To accompany for this, the system devised a means of production, whereby two designated Programs, one male and one female, would provide a part of their source code to a Central Program Bank. The CPB would then proceed to test which two pieces of code, taken from many millions of male and female Programs, would fit together with the most optimum results. Once a significant match was found, the CPB would resolve [Rez] the newly formed source-code into a new, function-free Program.
>You are a new Program. You have no Primary Function other than to experience Free Will. You can do or be whatever you want to be. However, you must bear in mind that the current events happening within the system are something that will affect you and could possibly detract you from your Free Will. The CPB has downloaded all necessary data to do with the current events into your personal memory. It has also secretly provided you with a hidden function, one you are not even aware of yourself. To protect the System at all costs.
Ladies & Gentlemen, welcome to...
