I'm certainly interested, as I haven't had the pleasure of participating in a Star Wars RP for some time. At a glance, the Sith look a little undermanned at the moment. Is that appraisal accurate? If so, I'll likely start on a Sith character right now, as I think I have a relatively engaging character concept.

In addition, I think I may also have a friend who's interested in this RP. If he's up to it, he'll likely drop in later with a Sith character.

@Katabasis: The Sith are indeed undermanned at the moment, and both you and your friend would be more than welcome to join.

@drallinix: I didn't mean for you to completely scrap it, if you didn't want to, but I appreciate your cooperation regardless.

we also have a metric ton of force users. I think me and Ennalais are the only ones with completed non jedi/sith characters

I may throw something along, but I'll see what other people do. Right now I am happy with who I have, though I may throw in some Naval guy for the Republic later.

And I apologize to any and all if I come across as a hardass, I just don't want to see someone, without a reasonable justification or background for it, be able to utterly destroy all other parties involved. Combat, while present, won't be the whole aspect of the RP.

It's your job to be a hardass as the GM, you gotta make sure the chars are best for what you have in mind. I'm just being a hard ass too as I'm Scottish and as such a bastard.

@Sep: Fair enough, I just try to moderate how much of a hardass I am, no sense blowing it out of proportion.

@vietmyke: I just finished doing that, actually. But thank you for the reminder.

I actually think that makes sense. It makes it look more like a rogue action if there is only one red blade wielding maniac. Or at least if you do end up alone it can be used as an explanation.

but he's kind of out of his league against 4 Jedi.... unless he has copious amounts of NPC goons

I doubt he'll be charging in against us head on, Sith tend to be more devious. Besides I recall two others mentioning applying as Sith.

But yeah he also has the advantage of "foul play". Sith don't play by the same rules as the Jedi.

Well he's a Sith copious amount of goons and traps are part of the job. Also Revan fought five Jedi Masters and one knight using battle meditation at once almost beating them all. I mean he is Revan so you know a little out of proportion but cut of the master and a hand full of knights would be about equal.

The main advantage Sith have is the fact that they do play dirty and as they draw power from their emotions lightsaber fights are where they are at their best. In fact if you look at every defeat off Sith in the movies and even the books it is always fuelled by emotion, so even for a short period of time to beat an agent of the dark side you must embrace it.

name: Creed Valerin
age: 20

gender: male

species: human-mandalorian

psychological: He is a hardened soldier who has been in combat for many years. This makes him calculating and defensive. He is extremely intelligent and an amazing tactician. He is not cold and aloof like most, and in all reality he enjoys being around others. He hates the republic for what happened to the mandalorian empire, and now works for the empire in hopes of bringing them down. However at the end of the day he is still just a mercenary, and not willing to die for their cause.

skills: trained since he was a boy he is a lethal soldier.
- sharpshooter- he is lethal with a range of firearms. He specializes in rifles, but can use heavy weapons and pistols as well.
- unarmed- He is extremely proficient in hand to hand combat. He can also use knives and vibroswords. His ultimate specialization in CQC is the vibrostaff.
- ordinance- He is an explosives expert able to set and defuse most bombs. This ranges from grenades and mines to high ordinance.
- combat tactics- Being raised in warzones made him able to navigate a battlefield extremely well. He knows where to go and how to do it.

equipment:
- KX80 repeating blaster rifle- an extremely rare rifle that is semi automatic.
-vibrostaff- a staff made from two four foot long vibroblades linked at the hilt. This has a two foot section of hilt with four feet of blade extending on either side. the blades are retractable allowing the hilt to be strapped across his back. The blades are treated with cortosis weave allowing him to go head up with saber users.
-explosives- he carries three incendiary grenades. These grenades can either be thrown or paced as mines. They explode in a twelve meter radius in a burst of extreme flame. These flames burn at temperatures high enough to melt droids, and last seven minutes. He also carries one high ordinance bomb. This has to be manually set and explodes in a thirty meter radius and can blow most structures to pieces. This takes an extended amount of time to set then move away from and detonate making it not particularly useful in combat.
-armor- Creed wears lightweight mandalorian armor. This features heat and cold insulation and duraplast plates. The chestpiece can stop plasters decently effectively, but it isn't impenetrable.

flaws:
- He enjoys fighting to much and will often jump the gun.
- He cant pilot starships due to him being colorblind.
- Over the years he has developed a habit of referring to his gun and staff as women, this creeps people out.

personal history:
His parents were lost in battle, and he was raised by his uncle instead. At seven he was given his first vibro knife and taught to sue it. He also underwent extensive marksmanship training. He was fed protein rations and forced to accompany his uncle into various combat zones. He would run ammo as well as perform other menial tasks. On top of these things he constantly sparred other children of mandalore in close quarters combat. Time and time again he was victorious only two others earning his respect and the right to be called his rivals. One was a boy named Crow the other was a girl named Kira.

Upon the age of thirteen he entered into the official dueling circle. The boy Crow joined him as did Kira. For two years they fought against one another and other opponents in the dueling circle. Eventually Crow who was two years older than him and Kira left the dueling arena and took the right of passage. He passed, but died not long after in a battle against a rival clan. Creed saw Kira die in the arena. She was brought down by an older male. Beaten to death in hand to hand combat, Creed could never forgive him. At the age of fifteen he challenged the man to combat with swords to the death. It was a long and hard fought battle earning him numerous scars. Finally in one swift stroke Creed beheaded the man with the vibro staff and earned victory.

At the age of sixteen he took the right of passage. This involved him surviving for a year in the jungles of mandalore with nothing but a vibrostaff and a blaster rifle. He wore no armor during this time, and accumulated many scars such as bites and claw marks. He passed and at eighteen he left mandalore with a company of mercenaries, He fought for various factions against various factions. Finally he took a contract with the empire and finds himself where he is now.

@drallinix: Alright, I'll approve him for now, but don't abuse his equipment and such in comparison for others. And be very careful with loyalties and actions, considering they might have grave consequences.

@LordZell: Starting off, considering they start in the employ of either side, no. And if they were not in their employ, they would have no real reason to care about the events going on.

two mando's on opposing sides could be quite interesting, one might be able to sway the other. Kast would likely be loathe to shoot at a fellow mandalorian.

I mean... he'd still shoot, because its the job, but he'd be less inclined to make sure the shot connected.

His mind-set is to deny all Apprentices in fear that he will get killed like what seems to happen a lot with the Sith :P so maybe not apprentice but some more people for my side is very welcome!
