There are eight of them there now, right? If five leave, plus the leader, all that would be left would be two. Though, I don't know that I would want to take the risk of trying to get the carriage through before they get back. I suppose all of us involved need to make a plan.

There are more in the cave, but they are ghouls who don't work well during the day. Think the pale guard, but much more feral. Not that Ssarak or crew know about them, but they're there. As for the away crew, the robed man is only going to take three with him, not including the big guy. So that'll leave four bandits in camp with four more heading south towards the bridge you all came from (That robed man at the bridge was named Zarak). There are three feral ghouls in the ravine with the other robed mage, and another three somewhere to the north who are out hunting. In total, there are potentially 15 opponents to fight, not that you have to all fight them at once, but that's the body count.

Hmm, well, we probably don't need to collab the IC discussion of how to approach it, though it might be more efficient to talk about it beforehand. How are things with Ryo? Do you think he will be able to join us?

I'm pretty sure he should, his schedule is suppose to be more open. I do know we talked just yesterday about Blood, said he was going to work on a post over the weekend. As for what you all want to do, it'll leave it up to you. My suggestion? Talk about it here in the OOC first.

I suppose we can discuss it here. Konan, Free, Ryo, do you have any suggestions? Waiting would reduce the numbers, but we only have so long before the Caravan Master goes off and commits suicide. Currently, it seems like most of the enemy are drunk, which could play in our favor. Finding a way to seize that opportunity might be best.

I thought Ryo had left Mei with Lyn? Or was she left else where and I wasn't told about it? >_>

I assumed all of the guards were taking part in the attack on the bandits. I suppose we'll have to ask him.

I just need to know who's watching Lyn was all as I'm sure no one will want to involve her in this. Namely as Free mentioned that was something that hurt Alaira a lot in the last battle.

I kind of assumed that everyone was taking part of the battle sans Lyn and the Caravan Master as well. I suppose we ought to have Ryo tell us, since he didn't tell me much about Mei. We mostly discussed the things I'm going to make Myrn fight.

I imagined that Meirin was going to be on the attack too, but I can have her stay with Lyn if you'd like. Maybe let her give it a shot at trying to console the caravan master and protect the cart if you have the bandits stumble onto them. And knowing you, that's exactly what's going to happen.

She could, though I imagine we might need everyone in the attack.

I don't know about everything else, but I do know that this situation is perfectly suited to Alaira. I propose 'Shock and Awe' as our strategy here. We scout around the camp, with the process like so.

First, Alaira identifies the mightiest or most important targets, and initiates the battle. With her batteries, she has a guaranteed kill on anything they have if she gets the first blow. We have her attack first in the flashiest, most explosive way possible. This will cause chaos among the bandits as they try to gifure out just what the fuck is happening.

The second that happens, the others join the battle, taking advantage of the confusion to more easily dispatch the surviving bandits. Then, the bandits are forced to decide which of the threats to engage. The crazy half elf in the middle, or all the others who are all attacking from different (preferably) directions. Alaira is a formidable warrior, she can survive as long as backup is dividing their attention. This also means that everyone that isn't Alaira is at less of a risk since they aren't in the middle of it all. This might appeal to the group's subconscious, as they aren't too fond of her right now.

I would propose a modification to this plan. It seems like most of the bandits are drunk, so now is a good time to attack, definitely. However, we know that some of the bandits are going to leave soon. So, we wait until the group is walking away, then have Alaira and Darius sneak as close as they can, then suddenly attack the few that are remaining. If there are any archers still. Ssarak can fly up and crush their faces. We would time this attack so that the others leaving can hear some commotion behind them and turn around. If we're fast enough on the initial attack, we can hide, then proceed with your plan, but on fewer enemies at once.

Alternatively, we can wait until the group that leaves is out of earshot, take out the ones in camp, then catch up to and attack the others with your plan.

Well, robed guy is probably a psychomancer, so I'd rather make sure he dies before he has a chance to ruin everything.

I'd also normally suggest killing the guys inside when the others have left so we can use their own fortifications against them, but I'm not sure we have time.

Unless you guys really suck, a battle of this size should go down in less than five minutes. Taking into consideration how long it takes to stab someone to death, and applying a bit of tabletop, I'd say that if you guys can take out the surface guards after the away crew leaves, you might have a few minutes to deal with the last few in the ravine before the away crew could arrive, assuming they could even tell something was going on. Otherwise they'd leave without ever knowing their HQ got sacked. Though depending on how you do it they may or may not be aware of your presence. It's not a deep ravine, barely large enough to hold the the ferals in cages while giving space forthe robed man a private room. Bandits sleep outside just so ya know.

With Meirin staying back at the caravan, we might have some more time, and he did say five hours to begin with.

The battle would go quickly, but the biggest time waster would be waiting for people to leave and come back.

You spent at least one just trying to find the place, and it'll take another hour if you're going to wait for the away crew to leave. I planned to have the hunting crew come back at the three hour mark, though I may also have something else in store for them depending on what Ryo is planning.

I'm confident we can take the whole camp. Wasting time is just asking for trouble. Besides, if we begin the fight by (metaphorically and literally) kicking them in the mouth so hard they're too worried about their broken jaw to properly fight back, things should go smoothly.

Ssarak could perhaps come in from a really high angle of attack. He could back off, get up high into the air while out of sight, then descend from above once everyone is distracted. While they're focused on the half-elf, they won't see him swooping down to deliver the a hammerhead to the biggest threat's skull.
