As Violet feels her powers drain out of her, she becomes weaker. Hr legs shake slightly, but she remains standing. It feels as if a part of her has been taken from her. A huge part. She draws out her viAL and waves her hand over it. The shadows continues to spin and she frowns. She didn't actually think he took them. He asks for questions and she asks, "When will we get those back?"

Jami frowned as Bear went limp beside her. She kept her mouth shut, hoping the class would be over soon so Bear could come back. Scratch that, she needed to have enough energy to bring him back. She slouched down, hoping that if Mammoth was going to pick students to fight each other or something along those lines that she wouldn't get picked.

Jin got to class just in time to hear the tail end of Mimic's speech. She felt her power simply drain away, like water spilling on the ground. A high tinny ringing started in her ears, and she started to sweat even more. "...oh, that didn't feel good. Lemme just..." She tried to sit gracefully, but nearly fell over. "Oh, this is not nice." Numerous and creative curses were muttered as she tried to sit up straight. She felt like she'd been hit by a truck. Or the flu. Or a truck full of flu infected rats...

"Well that's new, no one has ever sensed the Rift in me before", he said to her still invisible. Anyone who was capable of doing that would be a problem in the future...then again if she knew about the Rift then she might be able to teach him something new about his powers. Well it looks like those jobs to get here is paying off.  Before he could continue something was wrong. He was forced out of his Rift Form and back to normal..that didn't feel right at all. Like whatever was in that vial was taken out of him. That's when it hit him what Mammoth had just said, no powers for fair fights. This felt so weird, he could fight but never relied on it. His powers were his weapons. He shook off the feeling, "I'm here to get stronger, this is the way" he thought to himself. Bringing his attention back to the now he answered Shadow, "Name's Thief" he answered calmly. She didn't want to give her real name but that was fine to him. For all he cared he'd be fine with knowing them only my aliases. "Shadow eh? Nice, control shadows right? Not bad maybe we can pull a job one day. I mean if you've got the skill for it", he said with a mocking tone. For what was coming next a little competition would be fun.

Jihord He watched her carefully, concerned, before kneeling next to her chair "Don't be scared." he murmered, lightly touching his fingers to her temple, his frosty skin cooling her flaming head "You're burning." he said softly, concern heavy in his voice "Does this happen, ever?"

James noticed that the others were showing signs of losing their powers. He was sure the same had happened to him but it wasn't something he normally felt. It was an active ability he had rather than an passive one. Depending on what they would be doing this could show his lack of skill.

She wasn't too great at being touched by strangers, especially when she didn't feel great. And yet, both Jihord and Leon had helped her immediately... "Well, I've never been without my power. Ever. Even when I'm drained, it's still there. I just feel..." She frowned, and searched for the words to describe it. "Like something important is gone."

In a strange way, Terry was relieved when the powers were deactivated. He wasn’t relaxed though. He was sure that some of these kids possessed powers that were greater than his were. However, since the powers had been neutralized, he felt he now had a chance to do better in this class. He suspected though with all the training he had been through there were still people who could fight better than he could. Terry felt ready to learn because, after all, he loved fighting and was sure that Mammoth and perhaps even his fellow students could teach him something that he didn’t know. He was eager at the chance to learn to be a better fighter. He knew his body was good but it could be better. As Terry stood among the other people in the class, he began to study them again wondering how the class would proceed. He had no questions and was ready to begin.

Jack was wondering at the sound, when suddenly it felt like he'd hit a brick wall. The whole world just seemed so... Slow. He felt... Slow. Jack doesn't like slow. He actually started feeling nervous, like he was having withdraws, and he fainted for a second as the last bit was used up, almost falling on Violet before catching himself on her shoulder. His stomach went south, and his head was pounding. He leaned on her, breathing heavily and reorienting himself.

Violet catches Jack, gripping his arm to keep him from falling over. "Are you alright?" she asks, keeping a hand on his shoulder to make sure that he doesn't pass out on her. He is breathing heavily and she looks at him worriedly. "Man, I didn't think that this would have that bad of an affect on you. You seem like you would be the one person who could handle this." He leans on her and she stumbles slightly under his weight. She isn't exactly the strongest person in the world...

Jack takes a few seconds to recover, then stands straight again, smiling a bit. "Thanks Vi, I'm fine. It just hit me.. Fast, I guess. No pun intended." He would wipe his face before rolling his neck and getting ready. "I can handle it." He would reassure her.

Violet nods, not reassured whatsoever, before turning back to the Rift. "I do control shadows and that's the reason why I could sense you. I have a knack for sensing shadows near me. That's how I track people and are able to steal their shadows for my vial." She holds up the small vial on the end of the chain. She grins at him. "Make sure to watch yours, _Thief_, or you may lose it." She winks at him before facing Jack again.

After a few more moments, Jack's face would regain its color, and he would start to look healthy again. His breathing would slow, and he would stand straighter. He would look pretty much normal again. "See? Nothing to worry about." He would say, a big smile on his face again. "At least the vertigo wore off, felt like I was spinning."

Ryan grinned as he observed all the powerless students. " Oh come on, do you all rely on your powers that much? This makes me glad I don't have powers." He said with mischief as he cracked his knuckles. " Alright teach, what's our first lesson?" He said as he straightened his suit slightly.

> Jin went very still when Jihord approached her, fighting the urge not to flinch away. She wasn't too great at being touched by strangers, especially when she didn't feel great. And yet, both Jihord and Leon had helped her immediately... "Well, I've never been without my power. Ever. Even when I'm drained, it's still there. I just feel..." She frowned, and searched for the words to describe it. "Like something important is gone." Jihord He frowned a bit "Do you need food, or rest?" he grunted quietly, making sure that, for her sake, no-one could observe his assistance.

"Crap, crap, crap, crap!" Dimitri muttered under his breath as he jogged towards his classroom. When he'd arrived, much like the other students, he'd attended the assembly, gone through the proper procedure of setting up his schedule, and located his room. Unfortunately that had been as far as he'd gotten with productivity as after locating his room he proceeded to take his time ensuring that he looked presentable. When living outside, he'd hardly given much thought to his appearance save for ensuring none of his parts rusted and keeping dirt out of his speakers, however being around so many neatly dressed students managed to make him a bit more conscious of his looks. The fact that he was more machine than man meant nothing, but he'd be goddamned if he looked like mudbot3000. Dimitri had sat down and proceeded to pick out dirt, twigs, and various types of lint from his body before wiping down his prosthetics until they gleamed, and in the process lost track of time. It was only that he looked at the pocket watch he'd lifted from a guy three weeks ago that he realized that he was late and caused him to scramble to class. Upon finding his class, Dimitri pressed his ear to the door to see what was going on inside. The sounds were muffled, but he believed he could make out the sounds of people talking within, "Oh good, I think they're talking. At least that means i'll be in a class with people rather than just soulless machines." he mused to himself as he smiled and wrapped his knuckles on the door. While he awaited permission to enter, Dimitri put on a smile, it had been a while since he'd attended a school, so he might as well try to make a good first impression to ensure the year went smoothly.

Mammoth smirked to himself as he watched the wave of reaction roll over the students as they noticed their powers be jammed up. He looked over to the girl who was the first to ask the question he expected. **"Well whenever I think you all earned it back, which should be by the end of class. Besides you need to learn to get use to not have your powers. You never know when they are going to crap out on you."** He said with a laugh before he heard the knocks on the door. He pushed a button and the doors swung open revealing the android. **"Well look who decided to join the class. Get in line bolt butt!"** He said in his booming voice before turning to the rest of the class, a wicked grin coming to his face. **"Now class who is up to a good old fashion obstacle course?"**

As the doors swung open to reveal the behemoth of a co-headmaster known as mammoth and the class, Dimitri could help but let his smile falter a bit. The deep rumbling voice of the man certainly didn't help matters as he barked an order to Dimitri, who did as instructed without question. "*Alright, could've started a bit smoother, but at least he hasn't said i'm in trouble yet. Maybe if I do well he'll ignore the fact that i'm late*", Dimitri mused to himself as he fell in with the others. Once Mammoth mentioned an obstacle course, Dimitri's expression became that of amusement and surprise "**The more things change, the more they stay the same. I guess it's true even when it comes to school.**" he muttered with a tinge of mirth in his tone. Although he made a point not to show it Dimitri was fairly confident that he would at least succeed in making it through the course with a passing grade. After all, while he was still capable of getting fatigued, his lack of organic muscles meant that he could endure a bit more movement without running into issues like cramps, though over heating in his brain was still something he had to be wary of.

Jin muttered under her breath. "I need my powers back." She smiled a bit, though. "I just need a minute... and some carbs." She patted her pockets, looking for something to snack on. Even without her powers, she seemed to run through a meal so quickly that she needed to keep food on her all the time. Unfortunately, when she came up empty, she realized that she'd left her peanut butter crackers in her suitcase. "Crap. This isn't good." She could feel herself starting to recover, but her stomach let out a warning groan like a rusty hinge.

Violet smiles, looking at Mammoth. She absolutely adored obstacle courses. She is very athletic to begin with, even without her powers, and it is such a good way to prove it through and obstacle course. She looks over at Jack and smiles. She thinks that both of them will do well, considering they were both showing off a few moments ago on who athletic they were. She faces forward and waits for Mammoth to reveal the course.
