Sam liked the way his opponent was thinking. Not only did she call forward what he thought was her strongest and most experienced pokemon, she also threw out a pokemon that should do some massive damage against his Metagross, if he wasn't a steel type. Sam started thinking. This is not going to be easy. I can do some massive damage against Heracross if I play this right, but that Lucario has no weakness I can use. Looks like it comes down to skill. Luckily for me, I have a lot of it. "Okay, guys, this show is about to begin! Honedge, do Iron Defense, then do Aerial Ace on Heracross." But instead of Honedge, Metagross made the first move. He picked up Honedge with his left arm, unsheated him on Metagross's right side, and made his blade face the incoming Heracross. After that, Honedge's blade started to shine for a second, signaling that the Iron Defense had taken it's effect, and Metagross charged Honedge into the incoming Heracross, using him like he was a real sword. With an astonishing stab, the Honedge started to pierce the air, alerting others that he was executing his Aerial Ace. This is going to hurt...

Li wandered on board the ship she had been riding. It was a boring boat ride, and Li just looked out at the sea, observing the clam waves. She wasn't really a water person but it was a beautiful sight. Li uncapped her water bottle and took a gulp, berthing ing the calm breeze. She was finally free from her parent's overbearing control. Though she couldn't escape her thoughts on people betraying her. She could only trust her Pokemon. They wouldn't let her down.

<Snipped quote by manapool1> Abel nodded, mostly sure that he understood what the man was talking about. "Interesting how much in common two strangers can have. Personally I am more drawn to dark type pokemon, but both have bad reputations." Taking a gulp of water, Abel looked at the man with curiosity. "Hakobo you said? I'll be sure to remember it, that is if you can promise me another battle someday. One between our strongest pokemon partners." Abel grinned, a fire alight in his eyes.
Though his mask remained blank, inside he was just as eager. It was a dream of his to have a rival, and now he had one who has the guts to challenge a freind he had been training since late childhood. His weezing, while not known for being relatively strong pokemon, was tricky and poweful compaired to most. There training on epionage had left it with lingering poison abilities and many moves used to blind a foe momentarily. Sitting down, Hakobo attempted to drink his own drink, but as he clanked the mask it all returned to him, and the hope of looking sly was taken away. "I would love to show you the power of a pure poison type, and to see that of which the darkness holds? I assume it must be strong after all!" He spoke in a baffled manor, staring at the now free oddish, who began to steal his drink to the trainers dismay.

"Not really. Was just curious," Ross responded as he watched as the girl's Pokemon run off into a nearby forest with slight interest, "Are they going to be safe out there? I've been hearing rumors about Sinnoh lately. Like Pokemon snatchers, y'know, the usual in this day and age?"
"Hmm? Oh, no. They would be fine. Maybe not Mareep, but I'm sure the other two would handle any threats. It's a normal occurrence," Arc answered. "If, say, there'd be something they couldn't handle, then I'd be sure to feel it. Well, they'd be back any time now. Lecta just went to get them," she continued. She smiled seeing her Pokemon in the distance, the two energetic pokemon looking disappointed, trotting behind the Electabuzz that had an aura of a leader. "See? Now then, I'd like to go to the professor's lab. Are you joining us?"

Giovanni and Rafaella Blackheart

Giovanni rested in the bench. He was petting Yami and looking at the sun. "I wonder what lies ahead, Yami... We just got the Pokédex and we didn't even started to walk. At the very least, it's pleasuring that none of the others had bugged me...", he said. Soon, he got up and Yami started to float around him again. Giovanni grabbed his suitcase and was ready to leave, when...

"Big Bro!!!", a voice said while tightly hugging him. Giovanni thought he was being ignored and he thought that no one were thinking on him. But he reminded that someone was looking for him: Rafaella, his only sister, who was dropping tears of joy. "Big Bro... I... I'm so happy... *sniff*. I... I finally reached you. After all those days, I found you... my beloved Big Bro...!!", she said, crying. Giovanni turned to her, petted her head and smiled. "I'm sorry for leaving you behind, Rafaella... my dear little sister... you suffered so much...", he said. She looked at him, filled with tears in her eyes, refusing to let go. Giovanni gave Rafaella a kiss in her forehead, which made the girl burst. "Don't cry. We're together now, remember? Like in the old days...", he said. "I know... I know... but I can't help myself... this is something I desired so much... and now...", she spoke, as her brother cleaned her eyes. "Then don't waste it into tears. Smile.", he said.

Jadaria Brookes

Having been cooped up on a boat all day, Jade decided she and her group needed a little exercise. Being the stubborn type, Charizard thumped around lazily after his unusually happy trainer, groaning at her persistence. That was until she decided to play a prank on him. Finding a bucket of water, Jade splashed it onto the pokemon's face, not waiting for a reaction before she started running. Stunned for a moment, Leo shook his head and took after Jade, planning to hang her in the air by her toes. Jade zig-zagged around the street, body shaking with laughter as she dodged the creature's attempts to capture her. She was rather successful at it too, but that was before her other pokemon joined in. Jade crashed to the ground in a fit of laughter as Silv wrapped her body around her legs and Mia nibbled at her outstretched fingers. "Oh come on, it was just a little joke. Lighten up." She grinned as Leo picked her up by the ankles and hung her upside down, her hair hanging freely in the air between her limp arms. Her grin quickly vanished as Leo's eyes flashed, using his other arm to poke at her stomach and sides. "NOOO!" She hissed, squirming under the relentless tickle attack. To most walking by it would have been an extremely bizarre sight, having a brutish dragon tickle his trainer as payback. Leo only seemed to chuckle in response as Jade threw insults and threats in his direction, swinging her arms around despite having nothing around to grab onto.

Abel Marks

"The strongest." Abel nodded competitively, chuckling at the sight of the Oddish stealing the man's drink. Sipping at his own, Abel almost spat out his drink at the scene outside the window. Completely baffled by the display, he watched as a pretty young woman ran full speed away from a full grown Charizard. He had known the species to be rowdy and difficult but he had never seen one attack its own trainer before. Abel almost jumped out of his seat to help her when he realized that she was screaming but instead laughing, also spotting several other pokemon riding on the back of the monstrous pokemon. "Well you don't see that every day now do you?" He laughed, finding it difficult to take his eyes off of the energetic girl. "Think that she'll be alright?"

Watching with sceranity, the masked man merely nodded. It was good to see trainers like the way she was. Those who do not tame wild beast but rather befreind them. He was sure she was a battle trainer but atleast she rejoced with her pokemon! Looking down to his own belt of pokeballs it occured to him. Had he been nice enough to them? The muk was always happy, and his oddish was fine enough to steal his meal, and his weezing was the best freind he had. Ut the others.... the others were dangerous and brutal, and as honed as they were, it was not companionship, but a company of mercenaries with them. "Like a warrior and his bride, the charzard is willing to hide his powerful aggressions taught to him in feral moments of conflict, and instead rejoice in a cheerful day. A rare occurance but a soothing ine for me" hakobo spoke blatantly.

Jadaria Brookes

Jade lay flat on the ground, her breathing heavy from the assault. Silv sat above her head, attempting to cool the trainer down. Shooing the creature away, she pushed herself up into a sitting position to glare at the Charizard laying belly down on the pavement. "Jerk." She grinned and nudged the pokemon's nose, ignoring the constant feeling of eyes on her back. Most proabably weren't used to seeing Charizards, let alone trainers that would allow a Charizard to walk around freely. A sad looked crossed her face as she rubbed Leo's muzzle, a heavy sigh escaping the girl's lungs.

Abel Marks

Abel watched the strange trainer's interactions with the group of pokemon, a hint of annoyance flashing behind his eyes. "Behavior like that isn't typical with trainers and pokemon. The way she moves around them and they around her... If I had to guess, I'd say she was a Ranger." The word 'ranger' came out with a harsher tone than he had intended, quickly trying to cover his mistake by gulping down the rest of drink. His eyes bore into the table as he fought the urge to look out the window, willing the woman to disappear swiftly.

Hakobo easily caught the tention. Between seeing it in his friends eyes and in his words, no doubt he had a passonate for the pokemon rangers. Chuckling under his breath the man stood up. Whi!e they were glaring he had managed to swoop the food into his mouth unnoticed. "I see. And why do you seem to be so enraged of this fact. I for one would like fo say hello, and if my oddish was not as afraid of fore types as she is, I would have done so"

Abel shook his head, staring down at his folded hands. "Enraged seems too strong of a word, I'm just mildly irritated. It's nothing against her personally but the Rangers as an organization. They walk around all high and mighty as if they're better than everyone else for letting their Pokemon roam free and do as they please. They think they're sooo much smarter than us Pokemon Trainers, it just drives me insane." Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he released the air in a sigh and replaced his grimace with an apologetic smile. "Excuse me, I guess that was rather rude of me to talk about a person I have never met."

Haboko stared blankly, do to his mask. Once upon a time, when he was still a spy and was making deals in espionage and lies, pokemon rangers were the most irksome of people. Constantly harassing him, has he not grown lanky and dawned his knew outfit, they would most likely attempt to cuff him to this very day. But now he was a new man. Hakobo had managed to better himself, his vile and cruel fighting style turning to a tricky and odd one. He no longer wanted to harm others for his own gain, but, rather, make up for himself. This sounded more just than it was and had been. Standing up, allowing the oddish to spin to the ground, stuck his his leafs holding upside down, Hakobo looked out the window. He wanted to have this hatred leave his new friend. It was vexing to see a buddy stuck in a rage over a mere human enjoying themselves. "I bet she is nicer than you give off. Let's go meet her, shall we? I am sure that you two may become friends, maybe even..... more"

Abel looked at Haboko with an embarrassed blush, eyes wide with confusion. "Wh-what are you talking about? Me? Friends with someone like her, no way." He shook his head furiously, grabbing for his drink only to find he had finished off the glass already. A look of despair crossed his face, eyes glancing out the window at the bizarre woman. "You're going anyway, aren't you?" Abel sighed and stood with the masked man, grimacing all the while. "Might as well go to make sure you don't get your head bitten off by the Charizard out there." He sighed in defeat, placing money down on the table to pay for their meal. "After you."

Satisfied that even an impromtu compromise could draw his freind with him, Hakobo thanks him for paying before walking out. The day was bright, the air was sweet and as he swaggered to the young girl, he began to hold back his romantic style, in fear of the fire breathing monster near by. "Hello you lass, that sure is a hefty and powerful specimen there. May I how you have managed to keep it so appy?" He blathered in a mercless blunder?

Jadaria noticed the boy's approach out of the corner of her eye, keeping her hand on Leo's nose to keep him from attacking the strangers. "I don't really do anything, Mr.?" She raised an eyebrow in question, eyes shifting between the creepy man and the boy standing slightly behind him.

"Abel." The trainer replied curtly, stuffing his hands into his pockets uncomfortably.

"Ah, well as I said, I don't really do much. I watch over them and let them be themselves, and in return they watch over me and help out." Jade looked around at each of her Pokémon companions, a small smile spreading over her face. Noting Leo's intense stare, Jade returned her gaze to the masked man, her gaze still questioning. "Sorry, who did you say you were again? I feel like maybe we've met somewhere before." There was something about him that tickled her memory, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Eager that the young lady would so soon calmly interact with his new amigo, hakobo was taken aghast by the intimidation of her pokemons powerful leer. It's mustering of a drilling force only from a simple stare was pure and uncanny to him coming from a less sophisticated pokemon, thus thing was tough, in every way. But worst, the girl asked a question he longed would not slide to him. An apparent panic swayed over him in janky, odd movements to remain composed. "Me, well, uh, um, let's see..... ever hear of big foot.... I mean it's herashio" he excitedly blurted in a slur of confusion and fear. Behind him, the tiny oddish hid from the goliath creature before them, shivering and fearfully watching over the apex predator.

The ranger and the trainer stared at Haboko with raised eyebrows, Leo's stare continuing to pierce the man's very existence. "O-okay..." Jade finally responded, using Leo to pull herself up to a standing position. "Didn't mean to freak you out, you seemed kind of familiar. But I guess not, I would distinctly remember a mask like that." She shrugged, swatting Leo's nose with a scolding look. "Behave." She hissed before returning her attention to the boys. "So was my partnership with Leo the only reason you came over here, or...?" She asked, Abel rolling his eyes in the background. "Geez, what's your problem?" She frowned, planting her hands on her hips.

Abel shook his head, holding his hands up in mock innocence. "Nothing, I don't have a problem." Jade's frown deepened into a glare.

"Obviously you do have a problem, rolling your eyes back there like some kind of Ace Trainer snob." Abel was slightly surprised at the girl's ability to pick out his trainer status, but pushed that feeling away quickly. Just a lucky guess. He thought to himself grumpily.

"Obviously you're the one with the problem, picking a fight with an "Ace Trainer snob" when I've already told you that I don't have a problem." He growled back, meeting her glare with a glare of his own. The stare off was so intense one could almost see the sparks flying through the air.

With his panic stirring only more from the charizard happening to penetrate the mask with his leer. It was only lucky that the ranger swatted it away. After a moment with his oddish were together they recuperated that he turned to see yet another conflict. Sighing as this all had done south of what he wished to happen, The lanky, masked man gripped his small comrade and together with a synchronized shake of there heads, the crows beaked man chucked to small pokemon near them. Instantly, it attempted it's charm ability on both of them. In the background, the masked man had his fingers crossed in hopes this would help. Additionally the sweet sent ability was at hand. Had he known they would fight, Hakobo would have stayed far away. Still, in a way it was romantic to him. The two bickered like a married couple. "Awww, look at that, love at first sight" He slurred at the two, tilting his head slightly.

As if on cue Jade and Abel turned to face Haboko, the most viscous of glares plastered to their faces. "Who are you calling in love?" They yelled in unison, their voices catching the attention of the other resulting in a continuation of their previous stare off. It was the most violent staring competition the world had ever seen, even Leo had to sit back and watch the spectacle that was his beloved trainer. Making a sound that closely resembled a laugh, Leo stomped his foot in amusement, his large tail thrashing from side to side in his excitement. The sound was enough to draw the attention of the furious trainers, both turning to watch the Charizard's display of happiness with curious gazes. Suddenly Jade started laughing as well, a light chiming sound the contrasted well with the rumble of the dragon's. Even Abel had to take a step back and chuckle at himself.

Hakobo lets out a releived sigh as the dragon who he once feared to break his cover would soon rat him out to the female trainer had managed to turn things around and save him from a merciless death. Confused on what had happened, the masked man began to laugh as well, but it was clear he was not authentically doing so. His oddish joined him but ran to it's train, who held it to his chest. "You may want to go back into your pokeball...it's getting spooky up here...." He whimpered as he placed his pokemon in it's rightful home.

"Sorry about that. I'm just so used to people picking on us for being Rangers. It's true that we have a different view on coexisting with pokémon, but I try not to push it down people's throats. I'm not always successful, especially when it comes to the overly obsessed trainers. Again, sorry if I offended you." Jade said once she had caught her breath again. "I don't remember meeting either of you on the boat, did you arrive to this town ahead of me?" She asked, racking her brain for any memory of the pair. The ace trainer she was positive she didn't see, otherwise their fight might have started much sooner than it had. The masked man, however, still seemed extremely familiar... A nagging feeling she couldn't quite shake.

"I arrived around the same time as the boat did, but I was already on the island. I walked from the next town over in hopes of finding some new opponents to learn from." Abel responded, turning to Haboko with a raised eyebrow. "I can't quite speak for my friend here though, I picked him out from the street." He added, picking up on how the man avoided giving his name. Abel thought it interesting, but figured he would follow the guy's lead incase some trouble arose from the mention of the name.
