>I guess regarding Ultimate/Mega, Savers method might be simplest. At bare minimum, so far everyone seems to have some neurosis to overcome and then, if you decide to allow for ascended forms, those without obvious options/customs made can just do 'Burst Mode'. Yeah, that was me.

A young girl who happens to be the sister of the main hero, potential love interest to another of the heroes, possesses the most powerful virtue thing of any of the others and because of that the heroes and villains practically tear up a city trying find her and use her power. Oh, and a few years later creatures from a dark realm kidnap her and take her their world because she is the hope of their world. Tell me that doesn't sound like the most fan-ficcy self-insert thing you've ever heard.

Yeah, I would personally prefer to simply require them to come to terms with something that's physically or spiritually holding them back. Like for Henry, it could be his and Gaomon's relationship. Gaomon needs to realize that the two care about each other and want to protect each other. It's not just a one-sided deal. Henry needs to realize that Gaomon sacrifices a lot to keep him safe...and he needs to come to terms with how difficult he's making Gaomon's life, even if Gaomon doesn't admit it.

One of the main characters' younger brother, he's a bit of a crybaby who must be protected. The Big Bad sees him as the biggest threat and wants him eliminated. In the end, it's his power that allows them to overcome one of the biggest threats to the group and, without him, failure was inevitable. Years later, he ends up developing a darker take-no-shit side who punches out another Big Bad and can laugh off pain. He still has quite possibly the strongest partner, of course. Hey, look, I can do it too.

Kari is so much worse than that and you know it. The fact that she keeps being put on a pedestal every time the story focuses on her like she's some sort of messiah for the Digital World should be more than an indication of that. Oh, and characters fighting over her affection in Adventure 02 definitely isn't helping her case (looking at you, Davis/Daisuke).

I want Anna to have to confront apparitions of her parents in the digital world or Quartz where-ever it happens. Then something similar to that video happens. Then they turn into some digimon to defeat.

One of the main character's little sister. Cute, happy-go-lucky, gets one of the Devas to be her partner out of sheer adorableness, gets babied by all the other characters and can have her Digimon bypass right from rookie to ultimate. ... XD Sorry, I couldn't resist.

As someone who's dealt with that scenario, it ain't fighting for affection if you have to be told by someone else that these guys wanna date you. Though considering TK didn't seem interested in dating her either.....yeah, that was all Daisuke wanting a relationship. Or maybe the writers just mocking the shippers. Either way, not really a point against her, no moreso than the fact that TK's partner could fight a Mega without backup at Ultimate. Anyways, Pyro, that does sound like a pretty good way of invoking it. If Fellsing decides to go with that, I'll be quite content.

And really, between Kari and Yolei. . . I mean, I never really liked Davis. He had not nearly as much swag as Tai, Takato was much more enjoyable as a "main", . . . (Series Four pfft.) Marcus made punching digimon a thing. . . Can't comment on Xros though. Anyhow, In Davis' defense Kari was cuter at least in my opinion. Anyhow, I don't care so much cause Rika was my favorite :P

Sounds like your issue is more with Patamon than TK. *shrugs* Addendum: I mean, that's like saying you hate Wormmon because Ken was such a tool. It's not his fault his partner was a jerk. So it's not really TK's fault that Patamon was so OP, either.
