Sebastian

"She's at some old base, Avalon or some such nonsense, that the Underground movement has taken over as their own. It's not like I could very well bring her here, she has no way of fighting effectively. While my care for her life is low, it doesn't mean I'd throw it away by bringing her here." Sebastian repined as he watched the Aya's mutt come close to his body, looking as if he was about to tear his throat out. And yet, the beast stopped, for whatever reason Sebastian couldn't understand. So he'd live a while longer before he went to hell, or into nothingness if their was no such thing as an afterlife.

Turning to look around, he saw the saw strange stardust that Aya had seen rising from a body next to him. Curious, he stretched his hand into it, and he'd feel similar emotions as Aya had. He'd feel the pain, so agonizing that it made him want to wretch, the sorrow that came with knowing that you were going to die, and the acceptance that came after it. Wriggling his fingers, he couldn't help but chuckle a little. "You really have a marvelous ability, Lynn, truly magnificent. Truly enviable, the ability to feel one's soul as they pass on. Truly an interesting experience. . . that is all I've deer wanted, for life to be interesting and fun. Just so happens that my definitions of fun differ from the norm, from what people find acceptable."

Sebastian gave another look at Jake, still quite puzzled by the dog's actions. "Do you have any idea why your pet didn't rip my throat out? There is nothing to stop him, he had every right, and yet he stopped himself from taking his rightly earned vengeance. I'd call it stupidity, but then I'd be looking the gift horse in the mouth. . . .I guess by questioning it, I already am, aren't I?"

The Walk of God - Part 4

Mu's final endeavor before leaving appeared to be quite futile as the vector coming out behind Patel subsided upon meeting up with its creator. As a matter of fact, the transparent vectors had all vanished the instant Patel's previous target started to flesh for some strange reason. All of a sudden, a beam of energy was shot, but the starting flash was enough for Patel's abnormal way of sensing things to react.

"..."

An armored body of a security guard a meter away from Patel would be grabbed after the quick whisper and whipped in the middle of the beam's trajectory. Patel only proceeded that way because it could only guess by the feel of the armor that it was meant to resist, effectively deflecting the beam while leaving the majority of the body burned.

Then came Light who had regenerated from everything. Solf could finally recognize the individual known as the Reformists' trump card, the living cartoon that didn't fear death for a second. Lancaster and Camille had warned the entire team of her potential, and even though Patel's mind would be too damaged to make effective use of the intel, it knew she was the number one threat. Even though Patel continued a perfectly linear walk without a single interruption, it kept its focus on Light rather than anything else. It noticed a new tool being used, a bottle filled with liquid. In Solf's simple mind, it would be weapon, meaning it would represent a danger. It would make that deduction even with a small candycane.

"...Ru ..."

A stronger sound came out of Patel's being, this one barely echoing but ringing strongly in the ears of those in the room (and the rooms nearby with the walls are torn apart). The second later, a portal opened up in front of it, catching it somewhat by surprise, as it was ready to explode with the many factors verified by Light for a good combustion. However, in reaction to Patel upping its game with the sight of Light's threatening body language, it had easily caught the bottle as it would explode with one of its invisible hand (because the vile wasn't organic) and had the vector purposely enlarged to keep the thing contained. Some of the gas had been released as even Patel wouldn't be able to instantly contain an explosion, but it would be easily blown away with fan-like movements from other vectors.

All those without the vision of Mu or Aya would only see a large ball of brown gas that would quickly fade to white floating just above Patel's being. All the while it marched forward, enlarging the corridors as it breezed through them with its invisible vectors. This would cause some of the foundation to lose stability and multiple tremors being felt in higher levels. The ball of gas would be suddenly hurled at the direction of the medical ward where the most injured of combatants were still being evacuated but the endless chaos made the progress much slower. If no one were to do anything, everyone in the area would get a nice dosage of Light-made gas in their face.

Aya felt his words wash over her as he pondered.

"Not everyone's a monster like you," she answered him in an empty voice. That didn't mean people weren't capable of monstrous things, though. Aya thought back to the man she'd killed not too long ago. She thought of all the new graves that would need to be dug because of her weakness. But now wasn't the time to be feeling sorry for herself, not when there was still something she could do.

"Where's Avalon?" she asked. Aya didn't know if it was too late to pull Cassandra back from whatever road Sebastian had started on, but she had to try. Didn't she?

Ariadne sat absent-mindedly as she watched a wave of blood splash bystander and began to corrode away flesh and clothes. Unwavering, she glanced toward her query, the redhead who was now taken by Aya into the spiritual plane, leaving his unoccupied body behind. Ariadne approached, stepping over the wallowing bodies of those that were still burning. Guilty...

She walked past a young, black-haired girl who had just managed to zoom into view and was now attempting to heal the Owlman before glaring at Ariadne as she walked past. Ariadne did not return the glare but remained focused on her task at hand. Guilty...

Ariadne did not even halt her progress to see if the dog, Jake, would go through it or not. She didn't care one way or the other, but she wanted the job done. She felt nothing as the dog backed away, refusing to finish a life. Ariadne stepped around Jake as she continued her approach. Guilty...

Finally she reached redhead's body. She walked around to his side, looked down upon him, and casted her own judgment upon him. You, I deem most guilty, Murderer of Many. May their deaths haunt you in your next life. Without another moment's pause, she lifted her foot and planned to bring it down hard on the man's face until that still face caved in.

---Meanwhile---

Ann had just caught up and watched in horror as people melted away in that acidic goo. Her hands covered her mouth as she witnessed that Owlman was among then and quickly flew over to him. That was her fault... Owlman wasn't supposed to get hurt! Nobody was to get hurt, other than that bad man with the red hair... Ann wanted to do something but she... just couldn't think of anything to do so she watched something she considered her friend die. It wasn't the first and probably wasn't going to be the last...

Right as Ann prepared to weep over the Owlman's passing, that young girl suddenly appeared and attempted to help Owlman. "But she's supposed to be bad, too..." Ann said to herself in what was supposed to be a lonely void, now visited by Aya and Sebastian. Whatever the girl did, she deemed it enough and turned to watch Ariadne.

Ann kept a watchful eye out on her sister and the girl but also watched Aya and Sebastian talk among themselves. The spirits of the dead were passing and Ann could see their full spiritual body float out from there corpse and vanish from sight, probably not wanting to be disturbed right now. Aya and the redhead must have been witnessing something else as they reached out and reacted to something they touched.

They had obviously known each other from a previous encounter as Ann eavesdropped from a distant. Something about a woman being hostage but Ann hardly had any notion of what it meant.

Camille Mahroug - Wow You Suck

Camille cocked a brow as her supposed new target royally left the little girl hanging. It was the second time in less than five minutes. At least she wasn't resisting too much, Ariadne seemed rather docile enough for Camille to feel a little too confident about the situation. Sure she had super strength, but that wasn't anything special. Of course Camille didn't take the time to evaluate the possibilities that there could be more to it than that.

As Ariadne made her stroll toward a beaten Sebastian. Wait, a beaten Sebastian?! Camille couldn't believe her eyes. In conflict between bursting into laughter and trembling in uncertainty due to the utter quickness of his defeat. She just had to take out her smartphone and grab a quick pic of the situation as there would never be another occasion like this in her lifetime. A dog in hesitation to kill standing right on a cocky redhead who got owned by a young girl in a few seconds. Once the picture taken, she selected a few of her contacts to message the picture to. They would be:

Isabella, Isaac, Vince, Sebastian's own phone, Jaden and the Reformist hotline.

Wow he sucks so much. Make a meme out of this.

P.S: I have a gift for you Isaac!
Camille TheBestUndergroundAgentEver

But before she could send her colorful and internet savvy text, the corner of her eye caught Ariadne getting a little too close to the redhead's body with the same cold demeanor she had before. Camille peered over her general direction to check out what the heck was going on. The dog seemed more keen on keeping him down than biting his face off, he would have done it before if it was his intention, but the blonde... As she lifted her foot, the underground agent understood quite well her intentions. She wasn't going to leave her new patient alone until she was sure he'd survive, but at the same time it would be unethical to just let her colleague die without at least trying something.

"HEEEEEYYYYYYYYY! Just wait OOOONE MINUTE!"

She shouted in hopes to get her attention, at least for a brief second. After all she was just as much of an antagonist in this raid as Sebastian was in the end, so it wasn't too much of a stretch to assume anything she'd do would cause a reaction. Upon captivating a small crowd, she'd attempt to talk something out.

"Like, pourquoi? I mean, I know he sucks for getting owned so quick and you suck for aiming so badly buuuuuuttttttttt... He's out cold girl, and you ain't seeing me saving his behind. So my foot, your butt, if you go around stealing toute la gloire! Let the winner choose~"

She said with a malicious chuckle. She wasn't trying TOO hard though. She honestly had no defense for that pig fucker other than it wouldn't be in her general interest to leave an "ally" to die. But she wouldn't risk her or her new buddy's life for someone who pretty much asked to get hit in every general direction. As punishment for losing this way, however, she wouldn't intervene if Aya were to execute him.

"Awesome... That also makes explosives useless. Yayy..." Light said as this intruder pretty much used its c'thulu powers to negate almost everything coming at it, while holding her gas in a ball while walking towards the medical bay. "Well... Mustard gas isn't going to mix well with sick people. I'm going to have to try with this thing." She said to herself, jumping into a hole to appear in front of the thing that was apparently focusing on her.

Doing what she was going to do, she punched and yanked out a nearby wire out of a wall, zapping herself and causing sparks to go everywhere. The thrown ball of gas was caught in this little show, causing a nasty explosion in the area. Light shook off the black ash from herself from the explosion, ready for whatever this thing was going to do next. She wasn't even sure how her Reality Shift would affect the thing, or if it would affect it fast enough as is.

Sebastian

As Adriane approached his unmoving body, Sebastian turned to Aya with a smile on his face as he got up and held his hand out to her. "True, I'm a monster, a remorseless killer and I loved every second of every murder I've commited. . . and if you want to know where Cassandra is, you'll have to dive into this monster's soul and find it. But you'll have to hurry, time's running out for me, and you won't get much from me dead."

As he spoke, his eyes burning bright and full of manic glee, he looked like the devil himself offering Aya a deal. "So then, Lynn, if Cassandra is worth that much to you, just take my hand and all you desire to know will be yours." By the time he was done speaking Ardriane was right next to his body. If Aya didn't hurry, her chance of finding would be lost forever.

Aya stared down at the proffered hand, not trusting Sebastian for a moment. Whatever he thought she could do, even if she could do it… honestly, she was afraid. But she looked over at Ariadne standing over his body ready to kill, and she knew he was right. This was no time to be afraid. Not when her fear of doing what she needed to had taken so many lives already. Who was she to be afraid when she'd already wasted her chance to make things right? Even if it was too late already…

Turning back to face Sebastian, she looked him in the eye and took his hand. He'd told her to search – to look into the monster's soul, but… how was she supposed to do that? She'd never even attempted such a thing. But she just kept staring up at him, never braking her gaze. Taking a breath, she tried to reach out with her senses and search.

And then suddenly it became clear. Like flexing a muscle she didn't even know she had, she finally really looked at Sebastian. He wasn't in full color as Aya'd thought – he was made of starlight, just like everything else. Tiny pinpricks of light made up his body, bunched so close together he seemed truly solid.

This is my realm she thought to herself in a daze, as if only just realizing it. You are mine. Give me what I want.

And he did.

In the next moment Sebastian's hand turned blindingly hot, as if he really was made up of stars. It burned at Aya, but her hand was trapped, unable to let go of his. She staggered, mouth agape but unable to make any sound as the lights that made up Sebastian's hand began to break apart and flow into her arm. She felt she'd pass out from the onslaught of something powerful and alien and dark entering her. Flashes of memories spun through her head and she almost screamed from the pressure of it all when she latched onto one thing: Cassandra. Images of the girl shot through her mind, but only for a moment before they were overwhelmed by the rest. Emotions jolted through her one after the other – murderous glee, rage, but then one managed to stay longer than the rest. Finally the burning began to dull as an almost soothing feeling of acceptance washed over her, hardened with an edge of mischief.

Aya looked up and saw him fade away in a shining mist, the glint in his eyes the last thing to go. Sebastian was gone.

Pain was spreading from Cedric's broken arm, but the 20-year old grit his teeth before placing the now-evacuated control room on lockdown. He knew he couldn't beat this Meta, he knew that he would die here, but not before using all of his 'genius' to buy time for the evacuation. Seeing that the spherical drones were useless, Cedric ordered them to converge on his position...where he would begin yanking out their batteries and plugging them into a socket in his Power Armor, supercharging it.

Pointing his Uni-Beam again at Patel while (hopefully) he/she was busy trashing one of the walls or doors, Cedric let loose another beam of energy that would be directed at the thing's heart. Then, at the same time, he would order more drones into the roof and the airfield, to help coordinate the evacuation.

--------

Healing Spore, meanwhile, was on the roof, and felt great tremors.

Constantine Ramiel King had heard of the attack on the IH HQ, but Gia was trying to mind-rape him in revenge for trying to wake her, and so he can't do anything to help.

No... No. wait. Wait. "Wait!" Ann shouted in her ghostly world at Ariadne who was about ready to squash a man's head. She had been ignoring the little girl's nonchalant pleas but for Ann she stopped with her foot hovering over the head of Sebastian. It gave off the impression that Camille's pleas had actually worked but in reality, it was Ann who stopped her.

Ariadne glanced over at Ann, who was coincidentally standing by Camille. Ann breathed a sign of relief and pointed down at the burning bodies. "The acid, Ariadne. It might..." Ann hovered in a little closer to the motionless body of the Owlman and everything around him and studied the effects of that red goo she saw splash everyone and anything in the vicinity. It looked like blood and something clicked in Ann's head that whatever was inside that man's head, might burn away at her sister, which was completely unnecessary right now. Before Ann could specify why, she looked up at Aya and Sebastian as their dialogue continued.

Aya... was going to absorb the man? That would mean Ariadne did not have to risk herself. Feeling relieved, Ann turned back to Ariadne to tell her the good news, just as Aya was absorbing Sebastian in a brilliant glare. "It's okay... I don't think he'll be a problem." She said in a relief. Ariadne complied and lifted her and turned to face the little girl, who would probably be surprised that her bargain appeared to convincing.

The Walk of God - Part 5

Patel's walk had always been undisturbed, no matter the circumstance, hence its divine connotation. Even the notorious Light appeared to have trouble keeping up with the creature's stroll, which wasn't too surprising. As for Cedric, he wouldn't give up for one second. Despite having an all around area of sight, Patel didn't entirely focus on the weaker leader, but whenever that cannon would flash and movement would occur, it was ready. As Wessex reacted quickly with another beam of energy, evidently stronger, one of the many vectors placed passively (just like when it was spying on the base) had simply "pulled" on one of the mechanisms integrated in the hallways, causing an energy wall exactly like the ones that cut Patel off earlier to block the beam's way and prevent access to the hallway.

Meanwhile Light was preparing another nasty attack. Patel's eyes had begun to glow once more, or at least they were visible for some reason. Perhaps was it leaning forward a little? It glared deep into Light's being and concluded that she was the only true threat here. While she tried to mess around with the electronics, Solf had already tampered with it itself, causing another one of the energy force fields to appear a couple of meters in front of Patel as it was expecting some kind of electrical attack from the toon. This would cause the arm holding the mass of gas to dissolve, making the gas release all over the place, something it had forgot, but it would at least be at the other side of the field. Additionally it would also sponge the explosion that naturally ensued the release of sparks.

The result would be lots of smoke, which wouldn't be too exciting.

"........"

The invisible hands would be replaced with the transparent, more visible ones. One would hurl forward through the shattered energy wall that suffered too much damage from the explosion. Patel took advantage of the smoke to have the palm hit Light and send her charging at the large, reinforced door at the end of the hall. The second hand would be immediately behind Patel, aiming at Cedric in hopes to catch his entire body. It wasn't going to kill him, yet. Not util it would cross the door it had sent Light hurling toward. That door would lead to the main control room of the base, Solf Patel's main objective.

Camille Mahroug - Super Star

A drop of sweat formed on Camille's temple as she had suddenly accumulated a little bit of stress from the moment. It was indeed intense, was Ariadne going to seriously kill Sebastian while he was down? She really didn't expect her speech to work, but is she saw it, it mysteriously had a halting effect on the blonde hellbent on crushing the redhead's... head. The cold female fixated Camille, and in return the underground executive felt a somewhat chilling sensation. She wasn't scared or anything, it was simply the ghostly apparition next to her that she couldn't see that had that side effect (right?). It was barely noticeable, but it gave her random goosebumps.

Keeping a childish grin on her face, she really couldn't stand this wait. In just a blink of an eye she could just crush the psychopath's head ad voila. Game over. But in the end, she didn't. Did Camille's words really get to her? That kind of question, Camille would disregard and simple consider it an achievement.

"You chose well, little girl! Oui oui, I knew my new shoes would be terrifying if they ended up right up your booty!"

Arms crossed while still holding her umbrella, she entered an exaggerated state of confidence and superiority as she felt like she had saved the day from her interim colleague's inevitable fate. After a brief chuckle of complete smugness, she turned her head to face Owlman. Most of the acid didn't burn anymore and the rest would either wear off or coagulate in response to her rejuvenation. He was probably going to make it out alive, but just in case she pressed 'send' on her previously made text to inform everyone of her situation and prompt a possible escape plan. She turned back to face the crowd of metas, finally noticing Aya's body in a similar state as Sebby's. Was it some suicide technique maybe? As if Camille would know.

"Ahem. Now that everything is nice 'n' dandy... BLONDIE!"

She randomly shouted as she pointed her index finger toward the young girl in the dress, taking an over-the-top pose as she gave her a creepy and menacing look at the brutal twin. If one looked closely, they could almost see a stat shining in eye of her eyes, proof of the intensity of the message she wanted to give.

"I want YOU in my Underground team! ... ImeanwearethewinningteamandIkindasavedyourfriend soooooooooooooooooooooo..."

There was nothing more to say. Everything was set on the table. She made a silly reference. How could anyone react normally to this? The remainder of the sentence would be said quickly and with a weaker tone, as if it were some kind of fine print she tried to conceal from a colorful commercial.

Aya was burning. She was setting fire from the inside out, and could feel her bones splinter and crackle as her muscles, blood, and skin were consumed by flames. She was freezing solid and her blood was trapped in her veins, futilely trying to get to her pounding heart, but only left Aya cold and shaking, unable to move. Memories, thoughts, emotions, Sebastian pounded through her head and reverberated down her spine. There was so much. There was too much.

The stars snuffed out around her and Aya snapped open her eyes to find herself in her body. She was shaking uncontrollably and her mouth gaped open and closed like a fish's as she tried to take in as much air as she could, but each breath was painful. She was already so full like her body would burst just trying to contain her altered soul. The stench of blood hung heavy in the air and Aya was horrified to find herself comforted by it.

Somehow she managed to push herself up into a sitting position. Lifting her trembling hands up to her face, Aya stared. The hands were small and feminine and covered in blood. She recognized the odd freckle here or there, the shape of the fingers, but the skin was so pale. Aya dragged a hand towards her chest only to find it heaving up and down at an alarmingly fast rate. Her heart pounded underneath her ribcage. Finding familiar dark hair falling over her shoulders, she grabbed at it like it was a lifeline. It was sticky with blood and hanging in clumps but she was certain it was hers.

God, she just wanted her dad. But she'd killed the abusive bastard years ago.

Nonononono her father had been caring and full of light. Aya loved him.

She then realized she was crying, tears falling fast and heavy from her eyes and down her face. They dropped onto her clothes, ruined by bloodstains. Some distant, more coherent part of her mind recognized she was hyperventilating.

Cedric barely managed to dodge the ethereal arm, straining his Power Armor's systems and accidentally slamming himself into a wall when he did so. He knew that the end was near, that all his life, all that he had worked for was endangered. He now knew this; that even an incomplete victory, or a defeat where something was salvaged, was valuable, valuable because for both sides of a war, complete victories were...difficult.

"Trying...'squeak'...to...'squeak'...open...'squeak'...a...'squeak'...blast...'squeak'...door...'squeak'...with...'squeak'...me...'squeak'...Wont...'squeak'...work." Light said as she was being repeatedly slammed on the main control room door which had been locked due to the security system being active, letting out a squeak as if she was a toy each time she was slammed on the door, antagonizing Patel between each slam at his stupidity. while she was talking, she attempted to grab something out of her pocket space, eventually dropping a few cartoonish looking bombs at her feet by accident as she felt around for one of her holes to throw on the door.

At least this time this creature was holding onto her with something tangible, so if it kept up with what it was doing, it would soon be workign on cartoon physics, and things acted weird when under the negative influence of cartoon physics.

Ariadne pooled in her anger a bit longer while Ann looked to be contemplating something. This left Ariadne to stew upon thoughts of stomping in the head of some arrogant little girl for a little while longer. Her fists clenched tightly, Ariadne glowered towards the little black-haired girl as she finished her babbling with an offer to join her...

--

It was kind of an odd situation. Worry was creeping into Ann's head as she began to get the impression that she, alone, was the only voice for "their side" of the conflict, the Reformists as they often referred themselves as. Ann and Ariadne had only been there a week, and while it was a good experience, Ann didn't believe picking sides was right. What were they even fighting over? Why kill a bunch of people? It seemed senseless to Ann but she was sure it was well beyond her right now. When the little girl asked, or rather demanded, that Ariadne join her "Underground Team", it threw just more stuff into Ann's mind. She didn't want to pick sides! It was nice to enjoy the comforts of what the Reformists gave her and Ariadne, but there was the thought of it requiring Ann and Ariadne to fight... people. She didn't want that. Especially since her feelings of guilt had subsided from those who had perished from some blood acidity splash.

Ann took a deep breath. She just needed to get the both of them out here and even though the little girl was a very poor intimidator, Ann had a feeling looks could be deceptive. Just look at her sister. "Um..." Ann piped into the mortal plane with a distorted whisper, right into the little girl's ear. "I don't want to join your Underground Team... Could you just go, please?" Ann asked politely so that Camille could hear. Her face was barely visible if Camille tried to find the source of the disembodied voice. Ann looked apprehensive, perhaps even scared but she wasn't the one to worry about really.

The Walk of God - Part 6

Nothing was disturbing the beast anymore, Wessex had barely dodged the last attack and Light was taking it hard against the reinforced door. Patel noticed quickly that smashing the immortal girl would lead to nothing, hence the transparent vector branching out into three other vectors and plunging their fingers on the steel walls surrounding the door. Though just as hard, they would be easier to fissure and bend, thus with another Light smash on the door, it would knock the whole piece of metal through the control room.

Simultaneously to the creatures attempt to break the final defenses of the control room, the transparent hat missed Wessex had done the same as the first arm, a new vector branched out of the first one's wrist and caught Wessex in his dodging action. The vector would bind his healthy arm against his body as he'd levitate next to the monster, helpless.

The creature entered the room, half broken by the huge door crashing on its many computers. As it entered, it scraped the floor of explosive hazards left by Light as their flagrant appearance made it clear that they could be dangerous. Patel was nearing the central computer, the one Cedric would use to coordinate pretty much anything in case of a crisis. In a few steps, Patel's mission would end.

Camille Mahroug - Deception

"Haha, I knew you'd listen to m- Wait what?"

She couldn't believe it, nor really conceive the idea that she'd be rejected so quickly after pulling off such great bargaining skills. She cocked her brow in disbelief, thinking is was some kind of joke. Plus she was asking her to LEAVE, after all she had done. The blonde did more damage than Camille, so why would she be the one to go away? She switched her pointing hand with her umbrella, the spiked end aiming at the blonde. The dog's growling didn't go unnoticed, but it seemed to have calmed down when Aya had awoken, which left Camille in a state of ease.

But then she'd notice the voice was not coming from the girl but from right next to her own person. What was this? It felt like Patel was whispering something but this was a feminine and coherent speech. Camille wasn't scared of course, considering her affiliations, but her state of ease vanished instantly.

"'Ey I dunno what powers you're using now, but I'm giving you a gift. Between asthma girl here and the base that's about to be..."

She paused for a moment and turned her head at the destruction Patel had brought on the building without even trying to completely annihilate it. It was scary, as she knew the time was near and she'd have to run for it when the monster's mission would be over. Her head would face Ann's approximate position, taking a wild guess as to where that strange power would manifest itself.

"... As you can see we're better at defending our own that these clowns. Beats ending up on the streets, huh?"

She gave as final reply to convince the girl. She looked a bit more serious, her anxiousness would be more visible as her uncertainty rose. Ghosts were never her thing, but the fact that she didn't even know what this was made her stress.

Aya jumped when she heard a soft sound rip her from her thoughts. Her eyes shot up, wide and panicked, to find Jake next to her, paw reaching out.

"Jake," she managed to croak out. His muzzle was drenched in blood. Aya remembered sealing it shut and piercing his mouth with spikes and a wave of guilt crashed over her. What on earth had she done? Shaking hands slowly reached out for him, floating around him, unsure. But before she could touch him, Aya snatched her hands back to her chest.

She was still breathing too much, her head growing fuzzy and her chest pounding. Her eyes darted around, taking in the forgotten scene. The ground was covered in a pool of blood and half-dissolved bodies. Standing in the center of it all was Ariadne, and that young Underground girl. Camille. How had Aya ever forgotten her name? She hated that brat. The girl was saying something, but Aya couldn't focus enough to listen to her. Instead, her eyes drifted downward to the body laying still beneath Ariadne.

Sebastian looked like he was sleeping drenched in blood and all Aya could think was that she'd never seen him look more peaceful. Her mind flashed back to the astral plane and what she'd done there. His last smile, his eyes, the feeling of his hand in hers before she…

Aya was confused, but that was the only thing she was certain of. Foreign memories warred with her own as she tried to make sense of everything.

"I don't know what I did," she murmured, eyes still locked on Sebastian's empty body.

Olivia Delacroix

After letting loose arrow after arrow, each didn't seem to deter the man opposing her from turning the crowd back to the building. Growling softly, she considered switching to arrows that would tear him to shreds before Elijah interrupted her, blubbering on about liking her and how she ran his name down. He then proposed to take her away from the chaos of the Reformist HQ. It seemed that despite modernising and becoming more civilized, humans still clung onto ancient ideas - protect the seed, the heir. It felt weird knowing that despite only being there for just over a week, she was second in line to the Reformist leader role.

"We both know this isn't going to go easy, Eli." She murmured, her attention returning to the man who was still guiding the evacuees towards the building that was being torn to shreds from the inside-out. "You have two options here: you either stop him from turning these people back or drag me out of here kicking and screaming but do know that if you choose the latter, I will gut you at the first chance offered to me. I know I'm the second in command around here and I'm a target but I will not leave these people."

Her stance on the matter was firm and the look she gave him spoke lengths of her sincerity - what happened before was nothing compared to this. If he took her away and soaked her hands in more blood, she would end him. That was what she had to do; Elijah was a primal man that lived by the sword and the only way to catch his attention was to put him to the sword and offer him redemption.

Olivia was just about to criticise Elijah's timing on complimenting her enemy before she too focused down on him with her own senses instead of the ethereal senses that guided her aim. With perked ears and hazy eyes, she frowned and stopped shooting, her fingers no longer obeying the commands they were receiving. Then her mind began to act up - instead of the fires of rebellion that previously drove her, a gentle hum echoed in the back of her mind, placid and uncaring of the chaos; if he told her she was safe then she was safe. Breathing slowly, she felt her feet carrying her forwards to the man, his beauty and his gentle words awakening something more than desire within her.

Olivia kept walking for nearly a minute, edging closer to him before screams echoed behind her and drew her back to reality as the moon draws water. Coughing heavily, she closed her eyes and focused in on the suffering - it would break the spell placed on her. Eventually, his soft words faded from her mind and to be honest, Olivia was very pissed off. First Isabella Lancaster shot her, then Elijah Craigh burnt her hair and threatened her family before some shit head God Meta began killing the people she swore to protect yet this piece of shit thought that he could come and play with her mind. "I fucking hate LA!" With that, her bow materialised and she switched to piercing rounds.

((TL;DR - Olivia argues with Elijah, gets charmed then gets pissed off!))

Scarlett Evermore

It was Beauty that killed the Beast

Scarlett had been trailing Ruby for a number of days now yet she still couldn't silence the stifling air around her - there was something bad on the horizon but she didn't know what. Her answer came to her only two days later when news of the attack on the Reformist HQ suddenly exploded onto every media outlet in the world. Thankfully, she was in LA at the time so she could make it to the scene quickly enough. What she found was pure chaos as police and riot teams prevented anyone from getting to the Reformist HQ. Snipers had taken up positions on the surrounding buildings but none could tell the difference between friend and foe.

After charming a police officer, she slipped past the line and darted across the courtyard as quickly as her wardrobe choice would allow her. She passed Vince as well and although she would fancy going a few rounds with him, his words didn't have much of an affect - when you know the mind like she did and your powers circulated around manipulating people's desires, these things aren't very effective. Scarlett wasn't interested in fighting him, made clear by the fact that she rushed passed him and towards the building.

Elijah was there, standing on the steps and trying to pull a pretty brunette back. She looked like she mattered to him and although she felt a small pang of jealousy, she swept past him, her scarf covering her mouth from the smoke and debris.

He was mine once.

Blood covered the foyer that was previously bustling with life and energy. Bodies slumped against walls, indicators of the hopeless struggle they put up. Blaring alarms did little to rouse the dead or the dying as she pushed deeper into the building. It became less and less populated until eventually, the only sounds were the dark whispers of Patel and the clipping of her stilettos on the blood-stained marble.

Eventually, she rounded a corner and took note of Light, attempting to halt Patel which only proved to be a futile activity. Cedric was being held by one of those loose tendrils - it was likely that he was already dead but she knew that if Patel reached the control room, he would bring this place down around them. Breathing back the sudden terror that rose in her, willing her to run, she withdrew a small needle - she would pull Patel's consciousness against her own before using the shot to force her down into the dream state. It was risky as their consciousnesses could become permanently bound and she would be stuck with the abomination for the rest of her days.

Holding out her hand towards him, her eyes flicked closed as she focused down his consciousness. It was a surprisingly easy process as his mind seemed to be propagated around the entire area. The difficult bit proved to be latching onto this mind and pulling it against her own. "Come on, you bastard..." She murmured to no one in particular before finally, she felt his mind rearing against her own - they were tied now. Letting her eyes flick open, her mind was suddenly overcome by visions of death and destruction as she slipped back, her body falling weak.

The needle cluttered away from her and she had no choice but to drag them into her engineered dreamstate. Grounding her teeth, she fixed him with a final look as her vision exploded into a chaos of lights.

Suddenly, her vision crashed back, the sound of the waves breaking against the wall of rock bringing her to some form of reality. It was dark down there but the storm would hold Patel while she worked on him. "Hello!? What do you want?" She didn't even know if he was down there with her but she had to try.

((TL;DR - I choose you, Scarlett! *Cool Pokemon music* Scarlett uses weird dream powers on Patel))
