The issue is the scythe, though. Those were a bit... Different in regards to how to obtain them. Some sorta weird sidequest that happened around week 2 or something that was initiated by the two higher-ups there.

Well, it was kinda obvious you were a Vindictus player. I had a group of friends that would 4man it. I think after I got held up by schoolwork, they got to Season 2 and stopped because they were unable to clear any of the raids thereafter lol.

But uh idk. I mean, I played Mabi for ages and dumped money into it because goddamn I loved the game (Still do, but haven't played in ages) and League because fancy cosmetics... But 's about it.

On the note of a Cash Shop, though, how the heck would you buy ANYTHING if you're locked in a game? Like, steal your life AND your credit card if/when you get out? What kind of business model is that?

Plus, how in the heck are you actually going to buy stuff with real life money if you can't even get access to a credit card? You can't exactly move your body around.

I didn't even know what was meant by a money shop. I just thought it was a bigger merchant.

When it comes to games, I buy it if it can't be obtained through normal gameplay. Like... If I can get it by grinding, I'll usually opt not to. There are a few exceptions, though.

But yeah, I'm all for efficiency, though. Also, wouldn't a cash shop clearly set apart the betas and ostracize them to hell and back from everyone else? I'm pretty damn sure that Kayaba wants to see a world where people aren't at each other's throats over fancy hats, especially on the first few floors.

It's less escalating and more rapid-fire debating over the idea of a cash shop, don't worry too much, man.

But yeah, I'd think that being able to tailor clothing is a MUCH better idea than a cash shop. That way, you generate a miniature economy within the game and give more roles to players not wanting to be on the frontlines, thereby sustaining those who do and wanna look fancy while doing so. I'd think it's a healthy idea.

A Wide Shop, in my mind is a store that can be opened through the GUI menu, (Bought with IGN-money not RL money) and buy potions, but you can't buy them when in a dungeon or when being attacked. But! You can buy in the wide-store when you are in a 'safe zone' .-.

I dunno. That kind of shoots the idea of a player-based economy that ended up developing in the foot pretty damn hard.

(It also enables some pretty sequence-breaking things in my head so I vote no to that as well).

I mean, Kayaba seemed to want to make the world of Aincrad as close to a low fantasy world as possible, and that's kind of breaking it in my eyes.
