Bah, who needs to be social? Everyone just needs to love and obey Sish.
Everyone.
Sish needs to make his presence known. Right now, Jedi already are starting to wonder if he's a bogeyman. :P
Legends: Yuuzhan Vong War. It just brings something new, and something terrifyingly threatening. This is a species not just wanting to control the Galaxy such as the Sith but they want to change it.
I've heard of them, though can't say I'm familiar with them. Define change btw, namely as that subject is a board term and mean from complete domination over the galaxy (as you've pointed out) to extermination. What were some of the things they were aiming to do or accomplish if they had succeeded?
Canon: AS most already here know I am a big fan of the Galactic Civil War and the current material being pumped out by Disney is super interesting. From the Comics following the Heroes of ANH and Darth Vader to books such as Battlefront: Twilight Company. My favourite has to be Lost Stars. It may be essentially a love story but it follows events in the Empire from before the Battle of Yavin right up to the Battle of Jakku.
What would be some of the things you would like to see them do a spin on? And *gasps* Sep reading a love story! For shame, you're going to ruin your image there though now I'm curious to know why this love story was readable to you? Also, could you detail a bit of the Galactic Civil War since I'm not familiar with and I enjoy hearing people explain about the lore because there's that fun enthusiasm in their writing that I enjoy.
What I think would be a good movie: I perosnally feel if Disney wants to keep doing this "main story" idea and spin offs they should go to the Old Republic for ideas. It adds a sense of threatening, if you go far enough back (Such as Kotor) anything can happen. People won't go into the cinema and go "Well such and such has to win because they're in Episode 1!" or something like that.
If Disney chooses to go with Revan I feel they'd probably spin it into a trilogy playing on Revans popularity and his clear story arcs. Such as Revanchism/Mandalorian wars, before his fall and leading of the Sith Empire and then his return to the light (or exile).

I recall that as Ellri and Echo are informing about that era slowly for our threesome pm rp.
Though I agree with the whole aspect of having pre-established characters, and doing things out of order. It makes it hard to create that tension since you already know who is going to live and who is going to die causing you to relax a bit too much as long as it's not your fave that dies. Also some plot aspects are already set in stone because of this which I find irritating.
I think it might be fun to see how they portray some of the Old Republic stuff though I worry they might go more for ratings than story, which tends to screw up a lot of the movies now a days. They went to try to give everyone something they will enjoy which is technically impossible. Though if they do a Revan series, what bits and pieces would you really like to see within it? Any key scenes or elements?
As this RP no doubt testifies, our favorite era is that of the Old Republic. In particular, eras where not everything is set in stone and where the Jedi have guts and the Sith are many.
As for movie potentials, we think movies set around the major events in the old republic legends. In no particular order:
Great Galactic War.
Revanchism.
Darth bane and Rule of Two
Mandalorian Wars
KOTOR (2)
Great Hyperspace War
Exile of the first Sith
Exar Kun & the Great Sith War.
Too many good options. Maybe stories borrowing from several of these at once, but not blindly following them.
I usually felt if you borrow from too many different sources, you risk a huge ass mess and things get tricky for the next guy to tie them all together. It made more sense to focus on one story than progress it, vaguely hinting to other lore when it became important rather than try to incorporate it fully or as a brief, important aspect within it.
I'm still present, just haven't been able to do anything with Fa since my last response.
I'll get the replies up this week, likely in a few days. If I don't, jiggle me on the OC and remind me. I'm waiting to get the Jedi to catch up or at least progressed more because we're already on night of the 3rd day and nearly heading into the 4th day, meaning the Jedi would again be 2 days behind again rather than a day.
*peeks in* Hallo folks. I was speaking with Ellri about joining the group last night, and I'm working on a sheet as I type. Thought I would drop in here to see how everyone is doing.
Anyways, the name's Bane.
Ah, you're the new rescuer interest? Nice to meet you and how do you do, my name's Fallen. *holds out hand and shakes* Welcome to Aftermath and happy the current length of the rp hasn't scared you off. We're a nice bunch, I promise.
My favorite Lore is actually fanon, namely the Zabrak as many people know already. I namely enjoy what people had done and built on based off of what they all liked about the various Zabrak Jedi, Sith, and other characters that have appeared over the course of the Lore. Though like a lot of fanon, I did tone down the original for balance. The only thing that irritates me is the fact the language lacks very little, if any, unity in how its created and makes adding more rather difficult since I can't figure out the rules. I'm considering rewriting a version for Aftermath Zabrak or my own use, rather than purely using what was already established namely as I get bored easily.
@Ellri I'll get around to the updates in the summary later this evening as I have some packing to do and food to make.
