Name: Azariah Alexander
Species: Human
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Faction: Sith Empire
Rank: Apprentice
Appearance:
Last portrait, one year ago.
Flaws:
Azariah's ideology can be viewed as a sign of weakness by the more 'narrow minded' members of the sith and thus lead to conflict; In fact, this is one of the key tenants of it. Through struggle and conflict, as long as one survives one has the chance to grow stronger and more experienced from it. The fact that he views those who dedicate themselves to the torment and torture of the helpless and weak instead of seeking to push themselves as pathetic cowards doesn't help either.
He is also quite paranoid about the possibility of being poisoned and likewise dying to said poisoning.
Skills: One of the noble born of the Empire, Azariah quickly had to learn the lessons of diplomacy and politics in order to survive in a world were a smile could have a number of meanings, few of them positive for the one receiving it. He also learned the nature of poisons and how best the counter them. After he was discovered to be force sensitive and accepted into the Sith Academy Azariah seemed to find that the Niman form of lightsaber combat came somewhat naturally to him, enhanced greatly by the practices of Trakata and Dun Moch.
Force capabilities:
The basics- It is a dead sith who cannot learn the basics of the force.
Detoxify Poison- While a rare power for a force user so young to take, Azariah's upbringing (And the death of his older brother via assassination by poison) made him rather paranoid of suffering such a fate himself.
Force Empathy- Azariah has always seemed to have a knack for 'reading' people, having a fairly good idea of what mood they were in and what he needed to say in order to get them to do what he required of them.
Biography: Azariah doesn't know what his birth world was originally called, or even if he was born on a world at all; His parents were prone to traveling a lot between the various planets of the Empire for reasons of business and pleasure, so it's fully possible that he was born at a number of different places.
His parents were proud members of the Imperial nobility, well off patriots that were more then happy to advance their station just that little bit higher so that they could rub shoulders with the elite of the Empire. While it was true the relationship between Azariah's parents and their children was somewhat distant due to the requirements of their jobs taking up a great deal of their time, they did make the effort to be good parents and took the time to ensure that their children were given the lessons and tools needed to survive being apart of the noble elite.
Azariah was much closer to his elder brother Isador; nine years his senior, Isador Alexander was Azariah's role model growing up. Charming, witty, intelligent and with a knack for military tactics Isador was shaping up to have a very successful future as an officer in the Imperial Army. This bright future was cut short when during Isador's 16th birthday party he started to turn purple and coughing up black blood before dying. It was found that he had been poisoned and his drink had been the means of delivery, but who or why was never discovered despite the connections of his parents.
Shortly afterwards, Azariah's force sensitivity was discovered and he was shipped to Korriban to become a Sith. The training was harsh and many of the students that came before, after and around the same time as Azariah were killed but Azariah himself endured. Never earning the attention of a Sith lord to take him on and fast track him through the training, Azariah instead focused on learning everything he could from whatever source presented itself, be it the Overseers, the library, other students or relics and texts that he was occasionally sent into the tombs to recover.
Compared to the other Acolytes, Azariah was rather strange... Where other acolytes embraced their rages, hatreds and fears to empower themselves, Azariah always seemed rather calm and collected. Many believed that he didn't have it in him to rise and become an apprentice himself until a newly promoted Apprentice (Along with his goons) attempted to murder Azariah for being a 'Jedi like weakling'. Not only did Azariah fight him off expertly and kill both of his goons, but his counter taunts of how the Apprentice was a cowardly idiot who was to busy bulling those who couldn't fight back to actually seek any real power drove the apprentice into a blind rage.
Moments later, Azariah turned off his lightsaber during a saber lock. The apprentice, having over-committed himself in his desire to end Azariah, stumbled and over-extended himself without something to push back against. This gave Azariah the perfect chance to turn his lightsaber back on and behead the apprentice with a single slash. Azariah was given the fool apprentice's position shortly afterwards.
Personality and/or Motivation:
Knowledge is Power and should be both guarded and sort after with the utmost care. Azariah is a man that found his passion in the discovery and learning of knowledge and he pursues it above all else, the source of the knowledge not really as important as the knowledge itself. Much more calm and collected then the average Sith, Azariah likens himself to the eye of a storm; No matter how destructive the winds, the rain or the lightning, the eye of the storm is always calm. He finds abuses of power such as torturing the helpless to be the signs of useless cowards who aren't focusing enough to strengthen themselves.
Player’s long term goals: To gather one of the largest collections of force knowledge in the galaxy!
Relations:
Darth Nyiss- It is an arrogant and most likely soon to be dead Sith that openly disrespects a Darth. It is also a highly dangerous high stakes game to bring yourself to the attention of one. He has seem some of Darth Nyiss' history and heard some of the rumors, but other then pissing her off being a bad idea Azariah knows very little solid facts about Darth Nyiss.
Final Point - Secrets:
PM'ing them.
