Quick question before I engage in combat, are the Wesson pilots Ace/Royalty rank when they are described as 'highly skilled'? I'm not sure if I am to treat them as grunts or a notable fighting force with Phantom easily going up against 3 of them XD

If the former, I'll be happy to leave them behind and head straight for the objectives. If it's the latter, I will provide assistance to the vanguard team (aka Phantom, Himiko, Tiger(?) and me)

Himiko isn't part of the vanguard, she's support. She would easily be destroyed in frontline combat as her agility doesn't permit her to dodge while her weapons aren't meant for close range fights

Ah that means the frontlines would usually be Phantom, Tiger and Bahl, with ranged supports generally be Dire Wolf and Himiko?

I guess so and @LHG100, Edo didn't cut off the arms, he simply made deep cuts into it. Think of it as he went as deep as bone but only cut around it meaning in theory Wesson 3 could still use them, but with a considerable amount of pain.

Also, what is Dire Wolf exactly in position? It has both huge ass cannon and jaws/pistons that wrecks stuff if it can reach it.

I'm pretty sure he mentioned it being primarily a ranged sniper support - with a tendency to be far in the rear popping targets. Those crazy jaws are actually less utilized from what I understand.

Wesson platoon are elite mooks, not actual bosses. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EliteMooks, read that up a little.

Basically, they're definitely better then mooks but not badass enough to be considered 'aces'
