I'll have to think of this some more. Part of the concern I have is that, if and/or when the RPG becomes PVP, Villia would be able to simply shrink opponents who are PCs or screw with their powers. Even if it's not a factor, it might make battles simply one-sided.

Hold up. Yeah, while I like the idea of the nun lady... rape is not an acceptable topic in this RPG. Not because of my personal standards (though I'd still reject gratuitous rape backstories regardless) but mainly because of the site's standards. And other people's standards, since some people find it offensive.

Also, while I get that she's not one to kill everyone, but her powers even state that a slight whisper is powerful enough to inflict tons of pain. It doesn't exactly irk me as it probably should, but I'd probably edit up a bit to make her less of a person of mass destruction.

Basically depending on what the first event is that makes him have to use his Innocence on a new World, the abilities he has will stick with that Set until he leaves that World. If he's returning to a World he's been to before and he had Set 1 when he was there last, there is a chance depending on the first event upon returning that he will unlock Set 2 as it is the evolution of Set 1, however once he has Set 2 on a World, that will never change.

The reason for this is that there are a few powers Allen actually loses when he gains Set 2, for instance the ability for his left arm to transform in size and shape as a claw, as well as losing the ability to shoot Palings and have a laser-sword. Also, he'd be a little OP if he used Set 2 all the time, as the difference in the power of the skills in each set is exponential.

If the first event he uses his Innocence for involves an Akuma or other enemy that is a Level 3 or above, he will start with Set 2 in that World automatically, otherwise it depends on the individual situation. If the event is something like saving someone from falling off a cliff, he could use his left arm and start with Set 1, or he could save them with Clown Belt and start with Set 2.

Wow, it took me a while to type this up. But I've finally done it!

• Name: Ran Hoshigane

• Age: 22

• Gender: Female

• Appearance: "I'm a magical girl!"

• Method of Travel: Cassiopea- A pocket watch/magical device first invented by Chao Lingshen for use of circumventing a certain future. This particular one has been redesigned to travel dimensions and not time.

• Powers: Ran has the ability to access Akaverse (Negima, UQ Holder, and Love Hina) Western Magic, making her a Minister Magi. Her specific primary elements are Wind and Fire (elemental arrows, basic shield and bodily reinforcement spells, elemental self enhancement, flight, arcane blasts, and one or two higher tiered spells that allows her to do something like summon a twister or throw a huge fireball, synergistic dual element spell since Wind and Fire strengthens the end product) and she has some access to ki abilities as well, which complements her Magic Knight specialization. As a whole, her reserves are on the national average side of things, which means she can only throw out a few medium sized spells and maybe one big one before running out of power. And finally, she has the ability to "kanka" or mix together ki and magic to provide a super mode of sorts at the cost of using both energies far faster than one alone as well as severe physical and mental fatigue after the brief window of powering up is over with. Also her last and final ability is if she draws a certain magic circle and kisses someone, she can perform a Pactio and make them her Ministra Magi, a sort of empowered magical supporter that helps the Magister Magi out in combat. They use a portion of her magics to have heightened physical prowess as well as gain the ability to bring out a magical artifact that depends on their personality and abilities.

• Personality: Possessing a special exuberance seen in people half her age, Ran is a girl with lots of energy to spare. A person who enjoys being physical, she learns better by doing than by sitting around. Enthusiastic and peppy, she does her best to cheer people up and bring positive energy to wherever she goes. Though easily excitable and rarely ever shy, she has a stubborn side concerning ideals such as fair play, honesty, and morals. Though ditzy, she is quite a bit sharper than she lets on and makes good use of her rather active imagination to get creative in all matters.

• Starting World: Mid Childa

• Backstory: A somewhat average (if eccentric) college student that one day found a certain magic pocket watch, though one with different paramenters then expected. Taking up the thing then sent her on a world spanning trip as well as unlocking magical powers, leading to one really excited individual otaku woman jumping trying eagerly to learn magic and help out wherever she could. Nowadays, she's training her mettle in Mid Childan civilian Strike Art gyms/tournaments in order to gain experience.

They would throw wild parties and there were a few times where the guest both men and women would horrible and violating things to her and her parents laughed at her suffering.


That certainly seems to heavily imply it.

As I said, transmutation (what the shrinking falls under) is not something he's great at; he can't cast the spells as efficiently as others, meaning it will take more time, be more taxing, and wear off faster. As it is, the shrinking would only last long enough to neutralize one or two attacks.

His metamagic only works on powers that are explicitly magical. Generic super-powers or special abilities are unaffected by them. The only other characters that are susceptible to metamagic are ones that are actually casting spells.

No, you didn't directly state it, but it's beyond just being implied. Rape can be utilized in character backstory properly, and I know of a couple of good characters who have backstories which do properly use it off the top of my head. However, just throwing it in to make things darker or generically edgy is offensive and frankly disgusting. Handling the topic remotely well involves a lot more then just tossing it in because it's traumatic and you want to do traumatic things in your character's backstory. Does that seriously need to happen to her to have her have had a rough backstory? Nothing in her character indicates that it's a necessary part of what has created your character, unlike the good characters I know of who have it as part of their backstory.

It's not a topic you take lightly and just shove into things to make them dark and edgy.

... Also all she has to do to murder literally everyone in an area is talk loudly enough, so I can pretty much guarantee no GM would accept that even with that terrible backstory.

@Dead Cruiser: That's the thing, a good amount of characters, PC or not, are magical in the sense that they can cast spells. Also, shrinking them momentary... like, how is it happening? For one punch, they instantly shrink to the size of an ant? I should mention that I normally have a list of powers that wouldn't be acceptable in my RPGs due to how powerful they are. Among these is power nullification. Reason being is that it tends to take people out of the action easily (PCs) and undermines otherwise legit threats (NPCs). As I had stated, the other powers work well, magic spells and summoning, it's just I have issue with this one power.

@Lost Cause: I noticed your character's back in the fray, and with it, you are accepted. I will advise you to flesh it out a bit though, but other than that, you're good to go.

Just looking at so-far accepted characters, only one seems to cast spells.

Anyway, as I said before, countermagic isn't omnipotent; certain kinds of spells require certain counters. And any profocient mage would be able to work around his counters after one or two. Remember that he counters indiviual spells, not just mages as a whole.

It's a lot like... If someone is spamming fireballs in Street Fighter. A new player may get locked out by this, and deem that the fireballs are unfair, and that the other player is a cheater. An experienced player knows how to get past the spam and punish the other player.

Also, the shrink thing is sort of how yiu described it, but I think of enemies becoming toy-sized rather than ant-sized.
