[OOC] Escaping Union City

[Shoe Thief]

Union City, The last hope for Survivors of this plague to get off the mainland. Step one, get to Union, Step Two, get to the stadium, Step Three, Let the Military and H.E.R.C. escort you to safety from their.

Union has Fallen, The Stadium is overrun, The only way out is gone, The roads are blocked, there are no boats, there are no planes, there are no Helicopters. For anyone left inside, your only way out is to walk. What was once a safe Haven from the dead, is now just a meat grinder for anyone who stumbles onto it. The longer you stay, the more likely you are to get killed... or worse.

Your job as the United States 101st was to defend Union stadium, After it fell and all of its population came to kill you, you are stuck on foot. You must learn to survive in climates that no basic training prepared you for. Your only chance is to trust you brothers in arms, But even then, who can you trust? Are they in it for themselves? Do they trust you? So what if all you need to worry about is that they are alive long enough for you to get out alive.

Your current job is now to get out alive. Shouldn't be too hard, you have air support, you have trucks, tanks, you even have some boats just in case. Hell even if somehow all that goes wrong you have an army, and the Civs will help you right? Then you have those H.E.R.C. guys! SO odd must be in your favor, just have to know how to use them. Well now all of that is gone, All forms of transportation is gone, The boats were destroyed, the roads are blocked so thick that walking would be a pain, The Civs are pissed at you for not holding Union City, and H.E.R.C. is going to do everything possible to make sure the infection does not leave the city.

If you have not already guessed, this game is based just after the online game, The Last Stand: Union City. Great online game, this RP will also make much more sense if you play it. You don't have to and it should work out, but it would fill any gaps I have missed.

In this RP you will be one of the US Soldiers who were assigned to help protect the refugees of Union City in its stadium. Though after its fall there are still people inside the City. Your command structure is gone, The stadium is gone, Everyone is gone!... Except your team, a handfull of the 101st Airborn have survived, now they must fight to get out of the city alive, and get back to there families in hopes that they are still alive.

These soldiers will have many conflicts across the way:
-The Undead:
*They will try to Gut you
*They will try to eat you
*They may gut you or eat you
*They may bite you
-Lack of supplies, This will include:
*Bullets
*Medicine
*Firearms (But then again it's Union City)
-People:
*Civilians (Both Friendly and Bandits)
*And H.E.R.C. (Homeland Environmental Risk Control)
-Each other:
*Rationing issues
*Disagreements on choices/actions
*Traitors within
*You may have to decide what to do with someone that is a risk to your team mates

Sorry if the description is a bit long, or repetitive, It was written in like three different parts. Now this RP is going to end one of Three ways, One, We all die, Two, Someone Makes it out alive! Or three, it ends because everyone got inactive. SO if this gets going, Lets hope one and Two, I don't care because I am a fan of story, Good endings or bad.

Characters:
Prepare to put your characters through hell, By this I mean expect that there is a high chance that your characters will not survive. Not sure how long this RP will last, but once we either all die, or someone escapes, the RP will end. What too consider is, if your character is over powered in a situation that can not be reasonable, I will do everything in my power to give that character a painful death. Now if the situations calls for it then by all means! Go super bad ass! Though this will probably mean someone is going to die still.

1: My word is Final, If there is an issue I am more then willing to listen too it and attempt to find the best way to figure it out.

2: Don't be a jerk in the OOC, Though I will encourage it IC. But if you have an issue with someone we can be civil and sort it out.

3: Please put your post in the appropriate sections, OOC in OOC, IC in IC, And please keep just character sheets in the character section.

4: Characters. If I think you put your character in a situation where they could not realistically make it out alive, I will let you know that your character may have to be killed off, if you can make a valid argument otherwise feel free, but if I am still saying your character is going to have to die be ready.
(Note, I will not be planning on doing this much, but if your character goes in with a pocket knife against a horde of undead, expect the message)

Name: Gregor Uvich but everybody calls him "Spooky Uvi" or "Spooky", which he hates.

Rank: ??

Appearance: Average height, average build, brown hair which he slicks back, eyes are blue but he always wears shades. Dresses casual so he can vanish in a crowd.

Personality: People have one of two reactions, either they are like "Crap! Spooky, have you been here the whole time?" or they get creeped out by the fact he knows way too much about guns, technology and warfare. Plus he's evasive if you ask too many questions.

Weapon: Assault Rifle, 9mm Sidearm, Combat Knife, Extending Baton and he's a Black Belt in Jeet-Kun-Do

Gear: Compass, Detailed map containing streets, sewers, power lines and troop positioning (well lol as detailed as possible) 10 grenades, 5 MRE's, a Laptop or Tablet and a box of semi stale gum drops.

Backstory: He always was and always will be a hacker, its what he does. He believes in the freedom of information and exercises that right a little too often. He got caught while digging for some very classified documents and they said "Two options, life in prison or enlistment?". Then top brass thought tossing him to the dogs was even better punishment, why? all he did was find the generals lude conversation with his secretary and post it on twitter.

Name: Adrian Chesikov

Physical Appearance: Medium size build, however he is slightly muscular. He has a small beard, brown eyes, and a scar above his left eyebrow extending to his top eyelid.

Age: 26

Personality: Adrian is the strong silent type, he is smart, but as well he doesn't often apply his knowledge to every possible situation.

Weapon(s): Adrian prefers Russian rifles, the US issued AKM, a military variation of the Russian's AK

He also caries a combat knife, nothing special.

Gear: He has small map, some parts of it are damaged, stained and burned. It's obviously a comodity, he has a canteen from the military. He also keeps an old grenade with him, found in his fathers attic as a young teen. It may work it may not.

Backstory: if it wasn't already kinda obvious Adrian is Russian, but only half. He never knew his father, he saw him at a young age around 5 and never again, oerhaps the war got him. He'll never truely know, for it is unknown. His mother took care of him most of the time, sometimes she would work for days at a time and need Adrian to be taken care of, so she would drop him off at a care facility but when he was older. She could no longer keep track of things, and he was still too young to love alone, she had to send him to an orphanage. She visited every couple days. But the visits became less frequent. And soon they ceased forever, he assumed the city took his mother. Harsh place they lived before he moved.

Other: neat little fact, I played this role in GMOD for a long long time, he was the leader of a rebellion I created to combat the police that were breaking rules, instead of complaining to the missing admin. I just hired a ton of criminals and gun smugglers, we built a base in the sewers. And we raided the police station occasionally:)

Age: 31.

Physical Appearance: Average height, fit and muscular, gray hair, plane brown eyes, always dressed in uniform at work.

Personality: A kind caring person. Always kind and humble to others. But vicious and determined when the situation calls for it. Peoples reactions are always happy ones and warm greetings when seeing him.

Weapons: A machete,a 9mm handgun, his personal 45 caliber magnum revolver, and a crimson hunting knife.

Gear: shoulder,knee and elbow pads. And motorbike helm, a map of union city, radio , 1 smoke grenade and 1 tear gas grenade. And a first aid kit.

Back Story: John was raised and lived his entire life in union city. With a father in the police force and a mother working in a daycare and a younger sister. He loved union city and he liked what his father did, he was a hero to John. But at the age of 19 a group of gangsters murdered his father on the field as he was unraveling their mob secret location. Since then John swore to do something good for the city so he became a US soldier.

Age: 38

Physical Appearance: Think of scotty on the new star treck films, just with stronger arms. He has black hair and has a make shift eye patch to stop infecton from his accident. Tall and with rough hands he is a man who has seen action. A white man with a gourd and chiselled face his stands out as the jar of mayonage in a sea of taned man. Tall and well dressed he moves with a vigour and obvious enthusiasm not often found in old pilots

Personality: He comes across as a psychopathy, the guy that scream "YEEE HAHHH!" as hordes come over the hill. He's harmless though and everyone knows it. As crazy as he is he is a nice guy known by all the airborne troops. Smart and quick to react is is great in a scrape regardless of what happens. He is never without his side kick "Rusty" (Another char) as they seem to have a bond without words.

Weapon(s): MP5 and a M9 Beret as that what was in the heli at the time

Gear: (This would include grenades, compasses, things like that.) He has a First-aid kit thats missing some components, He has a watch and helmet. He also has a half burned map of the rough area and a short-wave radio. Not sure f this is great but carry a pet that he names smoky, smokey the rat on the account that he found him on the burning remains of a plane crash alive and well amongst smoke.

Backstory: (Prior to entering Union City) Mr Davidson, a strange man. I cant write alot about him as I am not sure if he will even be accepted but here goes. He is not in the army, quite simple. He is a member of the air-force and works as a pilot, he flies the choppers that get soldiers in and out of stitches. When this whole problem started he was never supposed to be there, he was meant to be in Washington at a march and helping with security. Knowing that no politician in there right mind would move the vast amount of army currently defending them to save the other city's he asked for a transfer, now lets remember he isn't a some grunt, he has seen problems and is known by almost every NCO or CO in his battalion so he was moved... moved to help take civs from the stadium and to some safe place. Nothing is simple though is it? While carrying Rusty and some VIP's some bandits fired up at them, by this stage the army had gone to shite, they had moved from the whole city to tiny concentrated areas, the kids must had got a stinger missile or else they were accurate. The plane was hit and it spun hitting a building and scraping down the road making a huge noise. Some of the VIP's were thrown from the heli and were zombo chow, others just ran. It was Just dead meat and Rusty. At it alone. (Basicly I plan for you to meet me and we all work together)

Other: The name dead-meat was a joke from years back when he went down in the middle of enemy land and had to work his way back to base. When he came back they were shocked he was alive and named him dead meat on the account he was VERY much alive. That is why he is insane, why would you be sane when you know your living on borrowed time and should be dead

Physical Appearance: Small and strong. Short dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. White (paler) skinned with a tattoo of an old mercenary group he was in on his right shoulder facing outward.

Personality: Morbid sense of humor, sadistic pleasures, very quiet and psychotic.

Weapon(s): Glock (.45)

Gear: Military Uniform with a Red Cross on the back, and one smaller one on his left shoulder. The uniform comes fully equipped with a battle best, a bpv or second chance vest, and knee and elbow pads. He has a radio for long and short range communication. The largest item he carries however is his medical bag. It contains everything he needs to perform on the spot surgery (just to the point of stabilizing the injured and helping in prolonging his life.)

Backstory: Malthael was apart of a large military group known as Umbrella. A group based off the infamous Umbrella Corp from numerous modern day movies and video games. There were two hundred strong and had a number of sister groups. Malthael was the leading medic in Alpha team before he was promoted to the team leader of alpha and shortly promoted to the second in command of delta. After a short term in Africa, they had lost their leader and Malthael was once again promoted before receiving a job offering in the United States Air Force as one of the pararescue special forces members. They were the best of the best and he was eventually promoted to captain. He was the leader of the Medical Command Branch of Union City. His men are either dead, missing, or one of the undead.

Other: Malthael is a Psychopath who has a sympathy for life but never had a problem taking it from the living. He killed over three hundred people throughout his lifetime and saved triple the number he killed. His past is unknown prior to joining the Umbrella group.

Name: Tobias Castle

Age: 24

Personality: He's really sarcastic and blunt but overall a pretty nice guy. He does have a hard time turning his sarcasm off and with answering personal questions where as he'll just answer sarcastically, or outright avoid the question.

Weapon(s): Knights Armament SR-25, Jericho 941, Tactical knife

Gear: a crowbar, a lighter, a pair of binoculars, and a signal flare.

Backstory: Not much to tell really. He was born and raised in Union City and lived there up until he joined the army. He was your typical troubled youth constantly getting into fights and occasional thefts are only the tip of the iceberg. The only thing he ever tells people is that he got over his little wild streak and joined the army because it was the only thing he could think of. Surprised him when actually found he was actually good at it, eventually becoming a sniper. Clearly something happened that changed his ways as well as something that triggered his original behavior in the first place but he speaks about neither. Long story short he's not exactly happy about coming back home especially with the current circumstances.

Approved but be ready, also just so we have specifics Your rifle is going to end up being a M4A1 carbine (Or M4 for short), It's a common rifle in both the Army and the Marines. And it is more or less a average bad ass assault rifle.

Approved but I do want to point out that AKs are not really used by the US military. But in this case we are dealing with Union city with the shit ton supply of firearms. So your weapon will be approved but expect a lack of available ammo.

@Remipa Awesome One would assume AK ammo would be scarse, and I'm not sure on UNION CITIES ammunition ordeal, but there is a commonly purchased rifle that uses the same ammo as an AKM or an AK47, it is called an SKS


It is a pretty fun rifle to shoot actually, it has barely any recoil and it's semi automatic, if you rig it to be automatic or use your belt loop to fire it automatically (cheating) then the recoil is still almost non existent, BUT enough about an SKS. the thing is, the ammo for an AK, isn't just as rare as an AK. since other rifles LIKE the SKS, use it. The ammo should be a little more common. But it all depends if you want to take it into account, after all it is not my RP, just trying to defend an option.
