Tagged; @PhoebeCarlisle - Theo, @smarty0114 - Finn, @TheDarkTemplar - Cole, Patrons at the bar.

Cole came trudging back into the bar- answered the questions and paid his tab, "I'll make sure Lacie knows." he reassured, placing the money into the register with a ding, "You heading out to-" he continued but cut himself off as Cole disappeared. Finn had taken the drink and asked a thought provoking question, but left before Seth could answer, he just shrugged. With a sigh he turned his gaze towards the girl, "That's my secret, I don't drink." he continued, "Or rather, I can't drink, I just burn right through it." stopping himself before going indepth into his gift. "Cole, huh, never too sure but probably to save more or something."

DMA Base, Upstate New York
July 16, 2029
12:00pm

Mallory Woods, Director of the DMA's New York branch, strolled through the hall with her secretary, a young and very patriotic woman, close behind. Mallory glanced back at her secretary to find her writing furiously on her clipboard all the important events and due dates in her schedule. "Jean, have you scheduled my five o'clock already?", Mallory took another glance back to see a puzzled look on her secretary's face. Jean quickly responded after checking, "Of course ma'am, you entire day's schedule has been set up"

"Cancel my five. I've decided to visit R&D, see what they are working on", Mallory said as she arrived at a door and entered the conference room. "But the mayor-", Jean was cut off as Mallory had already left her outside in the hall "...I guess he can wait then".

Inside the conference room, Mallory was seated at the end of the table with eight others. At the opposite end of the room was a screen which at the moment was off but would be used later on in the conference. "Ah, Ms. Woods, I believe we can begin now", said a member of the board. The screen flicked on and displayed aerial views as well as head mounted camera views of the National Guard. The videos showed the masses of Gifted running for their lives and being shot down while some escaping out into the city. Another board member spoke, "As you can see from the drone cameras multiple metahumans were able to escape the park. Thankfully that same night the joint task force was able to execute a good amount of them. Our numbers project that only 5% of the original group has still eluded our searches". Various members of the board clapped in congratulations, this had been their most successful operation since Haven and if they were to completely eliminate the Rally group their publicity would skyrocket.

Mallory did not clap however, she sat there in silence watching the video feeds making sure to see everything and anything of importance. "5% is still a considerable number, ladies and gentlmen, large enough that they pose a threat to the city if organized but too small to perform a massive search on that would scare the public. Thankfully I have the perfect solution. My Wardens, I'll deploy a team with my best Warden with them. They are small enough to perform the search without raising too much public attention but they will be extremely efficient", Mallory waited for the boards response and as she expected their reactions were mixed. Hunters were fine, Gifted-Hunters were okay, but Mallory's Wardens were something else entirely. Those creatures were not simply mindless killing machines. The early versions maybe but the newer and more refined versions were tactical, powerful, determined, and far more deadly. One board member spoke up, "Mallory with all due respect the Wardens are-"

"The Wardens are the ones to send in when the problem is more complicated than a shootout in the park. These metahumans, they've escaped a massive slaughter of their kind meaning they either can fight back or they are very good at evading us. They've escaped the following search of the city, confirming the later of the two possibilities. They have by now blended back into the human populous and finding them by way of door to door house searches is too risky. Knock on a few doors and the ones hiding next door will get an earl warning not to mention the people don't trust the DMA as it is. To do a massive and extensive search would lower the public opinion of us further. We need the Wardens, they can do what our other assets can't, and they can do it quickly. So unless there are any questions, I'd best be going. I have an old friend to visit".

Mallory exited the conference room to find Jean loyally waiting just outside the door. "So how'd it go?", Jean asked eagerly waiting to hear what would be done. "I'm sending out a Warden with a hunter team. A quiet search is to be done of the entire island", Mallory replied before pulling out her phone and calling the Housing Department of the facility. "Dorian? Where is Malcolm? Doesn't matter, prep Pariah for deployment", on the other end of the call a man replied with an unsure response, "Uuuuuh I don't know if that's a good idea, you know how she gets when she listens to music"

"Tell her it's me you'll be fine"

"Alright then...", over the phone the sound of a door opening and Dorian's feet could be heard as he slowly made his way to wherever Pariah was in her holding chamber. When Dorian finally arrived at Pariah's location his voice could be heard, "Uuh Paria-ACK AHH!". Whatever Pariah had done to Dorian it was obstructing his airways and making it hard for him to speak. He barely uttered out the words, "It's...Mallory..". Pariah immediately let Dorian go and his feet could be heard sprinting out of the room before she spoke, "I was listening to music..."

"I know but fortunately I have something you'll enjoy more than that. You're going into the field, Manhattan"

"Metas on a riot?"

"Didn't I have them install a tv in your room?"

Pariah looked over to the busted tv that laid on the floor. "There's nothing good on"

"Well you missed quite a show yesterday. Turn on the tv, you'll see"

"...can't"

"I see, you realize we pay for those? Doesn't matter get yourself ready, your being put on a team. Your mission is to hunt down and eliminate as many metahumans as you can. Do it quietly, as always, and remember to play nice"

"What are you, my mom?"

"Sweetheart, I practically raised you!"

"Yeah, later mom", whether Pariah hung up the phone or broke it was unknown. Mallory put hers back in her pocket and headed over to the vehicle depot, she'd have to give Pariah something before she left.

Once at the depot Mallory stood by the designated APC tapping her foot as she waited. A few minutes after and Pariah came through the door to the depot with her usual field outfit on. Her SWC-Volt was slung over her shoulder and her mask rested atop her head. Pariah stood before Mallory with a look that showed she meant business, "What? Want a hug before I go?".

"No just need to give you this. One of our agents, Maxwell Declairmont, just gave us a lead on a possible High-Priority Target. Our analysts did their work and concluded it is a Cole Harland. We've been looking for him or some time now, it's likely that he's with others so be ready to face multiple hostiles. Eliminate any and all associates. With his history we don't want to make a martyr of him", Mallory handed Pariah a file filled with everything the DMA had on Cole along with the profiles of Pariah's squadmates.

"So John'll be on this one? Alright, but this Maxwell. I don't know him. Sure you want us working together?"

"Maxwell is a very skilled individual and his work is what got us the lead on Cole, besides you didn't know John and now look you two are the best of friends"

"Maybe in his eyes.."

"Well you have everything in order so I'll let you go"

"What not gunna stay? Might be some time before the others get here? Besides you can fill me in on what I missed"

Mallory knew what this was. Despite Pariah's unwillingness to admit it she had grown attached to Mallory in a strange way. Mallory after all did oversee Pariah's training since she was brought into the Warden Program so in a way she was an adopted mother to Pariah...an adopted mother who put her daughter through cruel and brutal trials but when you are given limited human interaction you'd become attached to the few individuals you see. "Sure, why not. If it helps you better understand the situation.."

Finn Lockhart
Technically, Finn Lockhart did not own an apartment. When Finn had joined the Conclave and been assigned to work with Jessica, they'd put him in the same apartment as her, a three bedroom that they paid for. Most people who worked with the Conclave lived in one of the havens that they had set up, however, Jessica had been able to garner a deal. So for all intents an purposes, when Finn woke up, it was in his room of his and Jessica's apartment. Up until yesterday, the two had shared the place with Mary, another girl in the Conclave. However, Mary was now dead.

Finn rolled out of bed, wearing boxers and a Pink Floyd shirt that he'd bought somewhere and made his way into the kitchen, rubbing the sleep from his multicolored eyes. Jessica was already there, staring at the toaster with the typical disdain she had in the morning. "You missed lovely Steven Callahan's announcement Sleeping Beauty," she said as he took a seat at small, circular table, one of the few pieces of furniture in the small area where the pair lived. "What could that man possibly have to say at a time like this? Hasn't he done all of his gloating?" Finn inquired. "He claims that of the Rally participants, only 5% are still up and kicking. They're sending out the Wardens to take the rest out," Jessica replied, snatching the waffle that flew out of the toaster and taking a bite, not bothering with syrup. "Gotta love the Wardens. On a less positive note, how much trouble are we in?" he asked. "Oh with our little friend from Lacie's? No idea. Even if he was D.M.A all he has to go on is the lies I told him. He only knows my first name, and who's to say he believes it. Plus, there were bigger fish to fry in that bar. Hopefully I distracted him enough that he never saw Cole but I doubt we're in any serious trouble."

Finn knew what she mean when she mentioned Cole. The Gifted in question was pretty well known throughout the Gifted and D.M.A. circles. He'd spent time in both the Conclave and the M.R.F. and had taken out plenty of D.M.A. agents. He and Jessica had saved plenty of Gifted but they weren't anywhere near that level of notoriety. With his fears somewhat diminished, though he still had the anxious feeling that was a great perk of being hunted every second of the day, Finn began to make himself breakfast, with the nagging feeling that something big would happen today.

Eva woke up with a start as a ray of sunlight struck her body.

Within a moment, she had rolled off the couch, onto the floor. The light was no real threat to her, of course; the crack between the curtains didn't let in even close to enough to disable her abilities. Nonetheless, she hated it. Better to avoid the light as much as she could!

She sat up on the floor, yawning, her stomach whining in protest of her neglect. Eva pushed herself to her feet, adjusting the curtain so that it purged the light from the room. Better have something to eat. She couldn't afford to stay in this house much longer - someone would stop by to check for sure. It would be prudent to leave tonight. She would wait until the sun had set, then use some of the money she had stolen to stay in a hotel for a few days.

Eva rummaged through one of the cabinets in the kitchen, looking for something to eat. The old lady didn't seem to have a whole lot of food left. She must have died before she could do the grocery shopping. As a result, Eva's only choice for breakfast was Frosted Flakes. She was so sick of Frosted Flakes!

The hotel will have something better, she assured herself as she poured a bowl of the cereal and a glass of water, then returned to the couch. As she sat, she flicked the TV back on. The news was still covering last night's massacre, naturally. Eva scowled between bites. The reporter claimed some of the Gifted who had attended the gathering had escaped. That meant there was bound to be someone looking for them. Anyone making suspicious movements was likely to be noticed, and normally, just about everything Eva did was suspicious. It wouldn't be safe for her to be traveling by foot all alone after dark. And that meant one thing.

A miserable day in the sun.

Cia had gotten up rather early that morning. She was actually at an orphanage where she often helped gifted children. She often even protected them from any authorities. Many of the children wore contacts to cover up their strangely colored eyes. Cia herself could not wear contacts due to her lack of arms, instead she commonly wore sunglasses.

Many of the children had taken it upon themselves to help Cia prepare breakfast for the others. Many of the children had been abandoned and felt helpless, having someone that they needed to help really helped them to not feel so helpless as they had a chance to help someone else. Cia herself could only do so much cooking with her feet before it become unsanitary. But she was good enough to direct her helpers in what to get done.

About 30 minutes later they had finished making the omelets for everyone in the orphanage and sat down to eat. A few of the other children had cut Cia's food up for her. Cia then put her face into plate and ate. Some of the children giggled and Cia started to make dog noises and made them laugh even louder. She did what she could to help around the Orphanage as well as keep the children safe when needed.

(Anyone else can be at the orphanage if they want)

A song played in Cole's room as he handed a glass of wine to Lauren. She smiled before raising a brow and asking, "Really? Jim Croce?". Cole shrugged his shoulders causing her to laugh and change the song. "You know I'm not good with this sort of stuff. Besides, don't girls like those kinds of songs?". At this point Cole and Lauren had their arms around each other as they danced to the new song.

"Well I'm not like most girls"

"Ain't that the truth"

"And that's what you love about me. Admit it, this is much easier than a candlelight dinner by the lake"

"You got me there", Cole kissed her and for a moment things were perfect until he woke up. Looking at the clock it was 12:17, "Just a dream..." a look of sheer disappointment came over his face before he got up and out of bed. After getting ready Cole went to his car, after washing the blood out the car had the distinct smell of copper and chemicals to it. A small price to pay for helping the ex-DMA but he'd live. He drove to Lacie's and upon arriving he sat down in his usual spot and waited for Car-tali to arrive.

Car¬-Tali woke up feeling better than the day before. “Hopefully today should be better, maybe I’ll actually save people.” He thought to himself. Last night after he left the bar Car-Tali managed to get a hotel with the few dollars he stole from a DMA agent and freshen up after the rally incident. Car-Tali had severely hoped that the DMA had some sliver of decency and could give people a fighting chance. He didn’t know if that was the former person talking or himself but it didn’t matter. Car-Tali knew there had to be good people left who can end this madness.

Car-Tali brewed some coffee and turned on the TV for the first time in days. He saw the news spin justifying what the DMA had just done.
“This is why I don’t watch TV. Every day more are killed. People just fear what they don’t understand. Something needs to change or the world is about to get a lot smaller.” A knock at the door had caused Car-Tali to spill his coffee. “Great just great, not even five minutes in my new clothes and theirs coffee on it”. Car-Tali looked through the peephole to see the cleaning lady. “I will just be a moment”. the lady had seemed agitated at this statement.“well hurry up my break is in a few minutes.” Car-Tali was confused since it was early in the morning, nevertheless he was in a rush as well. So he got his bag, drank the rest of his coffee and left for the bar.

Tagged; @TheDarkTemplar - Cole,

Seth's apartment wasn't bad- wasn't too big or the like, but it was roomy enough to call home, at-least for a temporary home. Sure the floorboards creaked, and sure the paint was practically tearing off but it was something, it was better than living on the streets. As soon as light pierced through the window and onto Seth's face, his eyes opened- he had trained himself to sleep lightly so as to keep safe from the DMA.

Sitting upright and with a short yawn, he slowly ruffled his hair and with half-closed eyes he glanced at the ornate clock hanging against the wall. 11:00, I slept longer than normal, huh Getting up he slowly walked to the toiler and took a quick shower. Upon finishing up he swiftly put on clothes- a jacket with some companies logo and black pants. It was simple but it was something. He then traveled to his kitchen, set up a quick meal of eggs and bread. Sunny side up as he liked it. He also put on coffee, clicking his tongue at the broken coffee machine.

Glancing left and right, he took the premade coffee and stirred using his gift, his hand blurring due to the speed of his stirring I will never get used to this, but it has its uses he thought to himself- a grin forming on his face. Witht he spoon clinking against the plate as he ate, he grabbed the remote and flicked on the television- it talked about how 5% escaped to which Seth sighed and switched the channel. He also would skip training today as he could skip a training once a day in a week.

He had decided to get to the bar- check up on a few things. Locking the door behind him, he passed by an alleyway like usual, not many people passed by so Seth decided to shortly test his gift. With a deep sigh to have more air- he ran through the alleyway and crossed it within seconds. While the alleyway wasn't too large, it was notable that it was crossed in seconds, for some reason he also heard the crackle of lightning, which he dismissed as all in his head. His sneakers had suddenly caught on fire and Seth quickly doused the flame. Faster, I'm faster than yesterday he thought before walking in the direction of the bar.

After a short walk he arrived at the bar- he entered through the back. Seth saw Cole sitting by himself on his normal spot, "Yo boss-man, what's up." he called out to the unsuspecting Cole. He walked up and sat across him, "So who you waiting for, and what's the status on 'them'?"

Finn Lockhart
@Inertia@TheDarkTemplar
Finn Lockhart spent a little too much time at a bar for a sixteen year old. He didn't drink so he really only went for the conversation. Although today he went more so for the news. He figured someone there would've picked up on something useful. So after he had eaten, Jessica dropped him off outside of Lacie's, on her way to a Conclave assignment. He swept his hand through his hair and walked in, smiling as the bell above the door jangled in the quiet of the bar. He noticed Seth and Cole were over at Cole's normal spot. "Gentleman," Finn greeted as he strode over to the older Gifted. Finn had known the two for a while now, seeing as how he and Cole were regulars at the bar, and Seth worked there.

For this reason, Finn's generally cold exterior was down, replaced by the much more welcoming version of himself. These two different versions of Finn had been a necessary side effect of everything Finn had experienced in the past few years. After running away, Finn lost the one person who he'd actually been able to trust completely. It wasn't like he hadn't had friends but none of them compared to the relationship he and his sister had had. He had been unable to think straight for a while and it had almost gotten him killed. In order to keep himself safe, he had to keep most people out, refusing to be hurt again if they died, or he had to leave. So far, he was still alive.

Jessica Thompson
@Cuccoruler
Jessica Thompson wasn't mad about having to go work at an orphanage. She was just slightly peaved. Okay she was pissed. Jessica didn't do kids. They were sticky and gross and Jessica hated those things. She liked organized and well put together. So no, kids were not her thing. But the Conclave had said that she should go help the place out, let the kid's know that they had a life ready for them at the Conclave, should they choose to take it. It was for that reason that Jessica was pulling up to an orphanage in her black BMW, an older car from before the Genocide had started.

Jessica walked up to the door and went on in, not bothering to knock. They'd mentioned that she should go talk to a girl named Cia, who Jessica was pretty sure was a regular at Lacie's. She was bumped aside by two kids, about thirteen, running through the hall. She recoiled, and screwed up her face. After brushing herself off she made her way to the kitchen, where she found who she assumed was Cia. Well she was pretty positive. Jessica wasn't aware of many armless, Gifted girls, that worked for this particular orphanage. The blonde knocked three times on the wall, signaling her arrival. "Ummm are you Cia? I'm Jessica from the Conclave. Maybe they told you about me? I'm here to lend you a hand," she said before cringing internally at the accidental pun she had just made.

Theo had stayed in the bar over night since she had no where else to go, so she slept in a corner on the floor. It was so cold and she was shaking, not just from the cold but because she was having a nightmare. she was lieing on a hospital bed and there were these men in masks with big thick needles, they didn't give her pain relief she was just strapped in with tight metal bands, so tight that they left cuts on her wrists and ankles. Everytime she winced they would smack her and tell her not to make a sound or any movement and they would jab her again and again. Some days they would even torture her by cutting her wrists and putting liquid on it to see how she would act. She woke up screaming and sweat covered her face, when she saw where she was she calmed down. Her tummy growled she was so hungry.

She didn't want to be rude and ask for food, so she just went without. She got up even though it was still difficult to move since the strain of her leg. She walked over to the counter and sat down with Cole, hoping he wouldn't mind some company. She asked how there sleep was, for conversation. Since she didn't have any tv she didn't know about the news...

Before he could answer Seth, Cole noticed the kid from last night walk in. What's more he came over to their table. Cole never got the chance to talk with the kid as he never had a need to before but he figured now would be as good a time as any. "Hey..Finn right? Anyways, take a seat you're going to want to hear this", Cole looked back towards Seth before continuing, "Last night was the initial search, the DMA was just finding as many as they could before the rest got to really good hiding spots. You all saw the news i suppose? The real hunt begins today, the DMA is sending Wardens and you know how they are. They took out 5% of the rally group so they know who they are looking for. We aren't their targets but we will be if they find us so for a while don't use your powers unless you absolutely have to".

Cole got up from his booth to look out the window to the bar. Car-tali hadn't arrived yet so he had time to fill these guys in on the situation. "Besides the Wardens, we have another problem. Last night, that guy I brought in. He's ex-DMA. Before you say anything I didn't tell him this place was a Conclave base or anything like that. In fact I know more about him than he does of me. I don't know if he's really a defector or not but until we can confirm it, watch yourself around him. He's supposed to meet me here today so now we figure out what to do with him". Cole hadn't noticed till he looked back at the table where he had been sitting but there was a girl there. A girl he had never seen before. Cole's veins ran black as he asked,"Seth...who is she?"

As soon as he had woken up from his slumber in the bar, he immediately went outside, just wandering because he didn't have anywhere to go, nowhere to stay, and nothing interesting to do. He could have either sat around and loitered by the bar, but no, he had to explore Manhattan. What an idiotic move, he thought, especially because he didn't even have any contacts. So, the only way he could slightly conceal his multi-colored eyes was to look down, but it made him look much more like an idiot.

Well, his day's going horribly. He's got no home to return to ( He ran away, right? ), and his "Gifted" status could be revealed easily.

Suddenly, he snapped out of it. He should be staying at the bar- it was ten times safer than... Well, pretty much everywhere. So, he walked back to the bar. ( < This part is newly added )

As he asked the question- Finn entered the bar too, his demeanor lighter than it was yesterday. "Yo Finn- what brings you here?" he asked, waving his left arm towards Finn. He turned his head towards Seth only to snap his head at the screaming figure- Theo. She sounded like she awoke from a nightmare, "Don't turn on your gift, don't want anyone noticing." he said, Seth's hands gesturing to lower it "Well, I don't exactly know her name, I forgot to ask, but she is a gifted. I found her with a broken leg and brought her here, didn't know she would sleep here though." he continued, "You could have asked if you wanted to stay at my house, girl."

She looked towards to Cole and Seth and said "My names Theo, sorry about the screaming, just a nightmare", she said slightly embarrassed. "I didn't want to take up any space in your room in your house, and besides the floor is perfectly fine", she smiled. She was feeling faint with the lack of food for days and things started spinning around and she whispered seths name quitely before she passed out. She felt so cold yet so sweaty at the same time. It wasn't good and she couldn't move. She could hear voices but she couldn't see anything. She was getting extremely worried and hope she wasn't such a annoyance to everybody here. Some of them already thought of her as weird but she didn't blame them.

Cia turned to see a woman enter the orphanage and breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh thank goodness, I need alot of help and thank you for coming." Cia said as she walked up to the woman. Cia not being able to use her powers for fear of being found out today made things alot harder for her. "I need you to help me get some contacts on them, there is a box of them in that medical box over there." Cia added pointed her head towards a white box on the wall.

"I need to try and handle Gregory right now he really can't control his abilities well and it's gonna be alot of trouble to get him to control it." Cia added as she headed off towards Gregory, he was a kid about 15 who had the ability to create acidic spit, right now he couldn't stop drooling it and it was causing quite a problem as it was starting to damage the floor. "Oh and if you know anyone else who can help please get them here, it's gonna be busy with the DMA most likely coming after this place today." Cia added as she started to try and help Gregory understand how to control his abilities.

John was walking along on the sidewalk, his right eye was bandaged and appeared to be swollen, and he was carrying a box full of chocolate bars. He had spent the previous day using his gift to track down a few Gifted, and was eventually lead to an orphanage. Today - he had put on a bandage to cover his eye, using some meat from a hamburger to make it look swollen, and had gone to buy some chocolate bars for the kids at the orphanage. Kids like chocolate right? Never mind that, it doesn't matter, I just need to get them to trust me...at least enough to tell me their powers...then I can just take away the ones with lethal gifts...that's all I care about...

He approached the front door to the orphanage, took a deep breath, and rang the doorbell. He then heard distant screaming and a few gunshots as he waited, cringing with each crisp "pop". This world has gone to hell...I'm just trying to get by... He thought, looking off to where he heard the gunshots come from. John then felt a surge of information rush into his mind, and his body began to shake as if he had felt a chill. There were a bunch of kids all sitting at a table, and there were a bunch of presents and there was a cake in front of a young girl, with brown hair and green eyes...her parents stood to either side behind her chair as they all sang happy birthday. Her father was wearing an officer's outfit, with a D.M.A. badge. The little girl then blew out her candles, and everyone cheered...but then, one of the other kids screamed and pointed at the little girl...her left eye had suddenly turned from green to bright pink. Her parents looked in disbelief, then suddenly the father grabbed her and pulled her into another room as the mother began to cry "Not my baby!"...and then..."BANG"

The vision ended suddenly, and John held his hand up to his head and cringed. To anyone else, he would appear to be reliving a nightmare.

In the light of day, even Eva's backpack was heavy, and she barely owned anything.

Although she was passing quiet, pleasant looking houses, she could already hear the zooming of passing cars in the distance. It wasn't much farther now. As soon as she reached the bus stop, her ordeal would be over. Just a little bit longer!

It was lucky that the only other people around were the homeowners tending to their yards and the occasional passing jogger, because if anyone looked too closely at Eva, they were bound to laugh at her expense. Even she couldn't deny how pathetic she was in the daylight. She had only walked a few blocks, and she was already running out of breath! Her cheeks burned beneath the sun despite the fact that the day was a mild one. Why the hell did she have to end up with a "gift" that made her weaker in most environments?

There was no use in bemoaning her bad luck, no use in contemplating the sunburn she was practically guaranteed to get. She had been forced to go without her hoodie for the duration of the journey; it would have looked way too suspicious on such a nice day.

At length, she arrived at her destination and took a seat in what little shade the small roof covering her seat had to offer. She was tempted to rub at her left eye to try to relieve the irritation being caused by the contact within, but that could cause way more trouble than it was worth. Better to just wait patient for the bus. It should stop really close to the hotel she was planning to spend the next few days in.

With a sigh, Eva slumped down in her seat, allowing her heavy limbs a well deserved rest.

Car-Tali as he was walking to the bar he contemplated the consequences of allowing himself to get involved with people. They probably did save his life yesterday and did what would take him a couple of days to do. Besides Car-Tali had no leads, no contacts or friends, maybe it was time for him to make some.
Something had also crossed Car-Tali’s mind. If they find out what he was or worse what he did in the past then it could be all over, truth be told he could be killed on the spot. He had only started to regain pieces of his mind and discern what the truth was. The DMA had done a good job at breaking him and molding him into a perfect solider, now it was time to put himself back together.
It’s not the first time he has been in mortal danger and certainly not the last but he had to make this work.
Car-Tali had arrived in front of the bar. He thought to himself that he needed a plan of action if it all goes sour. He still had the flint, striker and tinder in his pocket , Car-tali thought that if the conversation didn’t go his way he could just say he needed to use the bathroom create a fire and use the smoke in the bathroom to cover the escape.
“OK, first I’m going to have to apologize to Cole for my demeanor and then correctly introduce myself. Then we talk...just like I have done many times before.” He took a deep breath and entered the building.

"Oh for fucks sake, can someone get her out of here?", Cole said in response to Theo passing out. Not a moment later after saying that did he notice Car-tali enter the bar. "Good you're here. Take a seat", he gestured to the now vacant table seat. "Gentlemen, this is Car-tali, the ex-DMA I spoke about. Now, last night so said you weren't on best of terms with the MRF and the DMA. Why?".

DMA Blacksite, Manhattan

DMA Agent Erin Noore sat before a series of monitors as she kept watch over the site and her yet to arrive partners. Some showed the security footage throughout and around the building while others displayed the security cameras near potential mark locations and were accompanied by audio recordings. The most impressive was the 4k resolution of the central monitor which had the digital files of multiple high priority targets, a direct comm link to DMA HQ upstate, and lastly Netflix. All this information was simultaneously being monitored by Agent Noore...more or less. Of course when the elevator dinged upon reaching her floor she didn't notice. It wasn't until smoke began to cloud her vision did she look to find it's origin. Once she realized it was Pariah, Noore scrambled to get out of her seat and switch off Netflix from her screen. "Agent Noore, Intelligence Analyst", Noore stood at attention but it did little to impress Pariah who cringed upon seeing how much of a greenhorn Noore was. "Save it. What have you found?", Pariah asked bluntly as she dragged a chair over to the monitors.

"Well, the security camera's overlooking the blacksite doesn't show any activity. If it did any unidentified personnel entering the field of view would trigger an alarm. No word from HQ but that's because they want something from us first, I'll tell them you've arrived once you see this..", Noore pressed a button and one of the multiple security cams were brought up. It showed what looked to be an orphanage but the inside could not be seen only the street view. Pariah raised a brow before asking, "What am I looking at?".

"Dammit hold on, I turned off the audio recordings", Noore laughed awkwardly before pressing a key and immediately the audio was restored. "Ummm are you Cia? I'm Jessica from the Conclave. Maybe they told you about me? I'm here to lend you a hand", a female voice spoke and her words caused Pariah to once again raise her brow but this time due to her being impressed. "Not bad we have a mark. You an I.D. on those names?", Pariah asked as she stared into the screen.

"Nothing yet, whoever that Cia is she isn't working at the orphanage through legitimate means. As for Jessica, nothing in our archives for known Conclave members mentions her. If I had a photo of her it would make things a lot easier"

"I could get you a photo, hell I could get you the girl herself if you want"

"Are you insane?! That's a whole orphanage of metas!"

"I have a plan, I'm not going in guns blazing"

"Hey if you're bringing her back then take the capture kit. We can't compromise the site"

"No shit, Sherlock. Go back to watching your movies. I'll be back soon", Pariah took the elevator down to the garage. A black SUV was parked there along with a few APCs and other vehicles. In the trunk of the nearest AOC was a black duffel bag. Pariah picked it up and carried it into the SUV. Once in the driver's seat she turned the ignition and drove out once the garage doors opened.

Upon arrival to the orphanage, Pariah hid the duffle bag in the back seat and stowed her SWC-Volt in there as well. "Noore, I'm here. See anything?", Pariah asked into her earpiece and with a mouthful of popcorn Noore replied, "Yea, I shee yu. Nuthin sho far".

"Are you fuckin serious?!", Pariah sighed in frustration before exiting the car. She walked to the front door but to her surprise she wasn't alone. "John, the hell are you doing here"
