Personality:
Shadow, as she goes by, is a very serious person when it comes to her in the actual crowd. She is a very intimidating person to meet on the street. She has a very short temper, but she hides it very well. She normally shuts her eyes when she’s angry and vents up her anger inside of her, thinking of how to get revenge on the person who upset her. She tends to crack her knuckles when she’s about to punch someone. She can be quite caring though, and she is loyal to those who are loyal to her. She respects people who are better than her and tears down those she knows are not, but try to act like it.
Now, as for her thief persona, it’s a little different. She is very sarcastic in both states, but it seems to be amplified when she’s pulling a heist. She takes on the essence of Spider Man, you could almost say, but without the good guy part. She tends to try to make people notice her in her heist, because she doesn’t care, because as soon as the heist is over, she knows how to blend in with the common crowd. She loves making fools out of those who think they are better than her, especially men. She hates slobs and weak people, though, and she is not afraid to voice her opinions about it.
Bio:
Shadow grew up in an orphanage, not knowing her parents or even if she had a family. She was the youngest of the children in the orphanage for the longest time, before more eventually filtered in. She was happy there, or at least tried to make herself be happy there. A lot of the kids made fun of her for being different, for being so serious and silent all the time. She shook these remarks off, but deep down, they stung her. They stung her so much in fact, that she began stealing from the other children to make them pay.
It started out small at first. She would take bits of jewelry, small family heirlooms, whatever she could fit in her pockets from the rooms of her roommates. Then it began going onto a much grandeur scale. She became a kleptomaniac. She began sneaking out at night, dressing in old fashioned garb to hide her identity, and breaking into jewelry stores, small stores that were just starting up, and others with the lock picks she had fashioned out of old bobby pins. She was never caught, and that’s when she started to get cocky.
She was fifteen when she ran away from the orphanage and bought an apartment with all of the stolen goods she sold off on the black market. She set up her headquarters there and began doing bigger heists: banks, wealthy homes, even museums. But her cockiness caught up with her. She began bragging about her heists to a fellow thief, even stating the place that she was going to hit next. When she went there, at sixteen, she found a whole slew of cops waiting for her. They had every entrance to the museum covered. She stayed out of sight, trying to figure out how to get in, when she realized that there was a section of the air duct they could not block.
She managed to get in, grab a few pieces, before the alarm suddenly went off. She dodged around corners, running from the police, but two caught up with her before she reached her exit. She knew she had to do something fast, and the next moment was all a blur to her. What she knew next is that both cops were on the ground, bleeding, and there was a gun in her hand. She dropped the gun in fear, but quickly made her escape, and did what she did best: disappeared. This quickly caught the attention of the local news station, and of the Embrace themselves. This is how she was found.
Other:
What she is wearing is what she wears when she is thieving, and most likely what she will wear on missions. She normally wears a black hoodie and jeans with knee high black boots.
