It's not really a problem, but it's like this, you see:
In every pokemon game I've played, I've had a general idea of what was considered bad or good, and I generally let my experience handle the rest. It's not really anything to complain about, going in blind I mean, but I just don't like being wrong, basically, and I don't like not knowing where I'm going.
Don't worry, just do a quick skim-though of Gen 6 Pokemon and you can decide if you want one, if not don't even worry about those Pokemon unless someone has one; then a quick google search should tell you all you need to know about that pokemon! :)
I smell a collab post if your up to it, we can work on there tie-ins with each other and their backstory though exposition while having them interact in the lab!
Additionally, It would be great to have you go the more formal route just like Fantasia!
You can use that casual attire as his travel wear. :)
P.S I am astonished that most everyone mentioned my limo in their post! I'm in the limelight ayyyyeeeee! ;)
He came down from Grand City, so he is indeed in his travel wear. But agreed, this can be quite fun.
Personality: Alexis is a blunt teen who states what's on their mind, stalwart with their own beliefs. Along with that, they can be rather snarky if something doesn't at all makes sense which is rather contradictory since they performed in contests. If something does seem out of place to them, they won't be afraid to be snarky about the impending situation, all while pointing out flaws in peoples reasoning relentlessly. No matter how precarious the situation may be, the teen will try to state it softly while getting their point across. They also act very flirty around most people, mainly girls since the teen loves trying to make them flustered around them. This may come off as a mere agenda, Alexis does it all in good fun to flare people up some times to lift the spirits of those down in the dumps.
The teen is also very, very competitive child, trying their hardest to win at almost anything as Alexis can't imagine a themselves properly losing. They may just accuse their opponent of catching a lucky break, or some outrageous allegation. They don't take losing lightly. Even with the nastier side to the teen, they are one to cheer for others attempting to pursue what they want, even if it conflicts with their own. All in all, as long as a person treats Alexis as their equal, along with not being too ridiculous, they will earn and keep the teens respect. Along with being respectful, they are also very mischievous and rowdy, sometimes wanting to fight side by side with their partner pokemon. Along with being rowdy, Alexis can handle a punch as well as taking one so getting on their bad side is not recommended as Alexis can and will get violent if the teen deems it necessary, and will give hints to this escalating tone through threats.
History:
"What happened with my mom isn't really important Aunt Arie... just let time do it's thing and all will be healed... I'm sure of it."
Alexis was only a young boy when he was introduced into the show business, or rather pokemon contests. The bright lights, the sounds were always blaring in their ears as they watched from afar with their father on his days off as Alexis' mother dazzled the audience on stage. Eventually she decided to retire from the lively scene full of spectators, much to Alexis' confusion since they didn't exactly understand why at the time. All Alexis knew was their neighbor who always baby sat them when their mother was at a contest. Alexis had a rather deep bond with the young girl who was a few years older than the kid, making them almost inseparable siblings. Alexis enjoyed their company, and Terry, the next door neighbor, respected Alexis and often at times teased the kid. With the retirement of the kids mother, Alexis pondered on if they would see both Terry and their own mother at the same time, and almost became flustered at the fact, finding it to be abstract from the original idea painted at first. At any rate, with Alexis' mother announcing her leaving, she invited the young Alexis onto the stage, and giving a firm reminder to who the heir of her throne would be later in her life - Alexis. As the cheering amplified, the kid became mystified by the thought of a bellowing crowd of affectionate fans. One day, Alexis felt that obligation to stride up confidently and make it a sight no one could ever perish from their memory.
Mesmerized by the limelight, Alexis was eager to start the whole spiel, but the kid knew that one integral part of this whole straightforward plan was missing - a pokemon. Fortunate enough to have a mother who was excited to pass on the legacy presented a little Buneary to the soon-to-be contest star, delightfully surprising Alexis. Alexis tried to play with the pokemon, to which the kid named him Sasha, but the kid missed two things - not knowing how to care for a pokemon due to childlike innocence and mistaking their pokemon as a female. This created a rather solid rift which was difficult to conquer. Despite the mothers eagerness for attempting to get their child into the contest scene, she decided that the best course of action was to let Alexis acquire new-found information on how to truly care on their pokemon by themselves.
It was a rather arduous task, considering that they were both not clicking. Frustrated by results, Alexis attempted to violently pressure the little pokemon into liking them, however the one flaw in this plan was this - Sasha didn't enjoy being pushed around. So the rabbit pokemon swiftly fled from their abusive trainer who did not understand the integral parts in caring for a pokemon. Alexis did not react well to Sasha defecting from the ideas and dreams conjured up, so the kid pursued the Buneary, not daring to leave it alone. Through this trivial endeavor, Alexis was left stranded from home, without a friend to accompany the kid, or a mother and father to take them back home. Hesitant and afraid, Alexis traversed onward, unwavering in their decision... before wailing at the sheer loneliness and how this was all scary. The kid was lucky enough to come across a few pokemon who looked rather unsure of caring for Alexis, but decided to assist in the child's efforts. They helped nurse Alexis through the night, helping the child come to a newly detected revelation.
The kid eventually returned home, all thanks to the Linoones who assisted the child through the night. Alexis safely returned to the recesses of their family as they waved to the Linoones before embracing their mother. The tears between the two could not be contained as they were streaming down their faces much quicker than a person eating a slowpokes tail. Much to the child's surprise, Sasha was looking in dismay at Alexis. The buneary was seemingly depressed at the fact that they managed to survive the night, which possibly meant more torture on their part. Much to the pokemons shock, Alexis hugged him next, apologizing profusely for what was done to the poor Buneary. Though Sasha wasn't too quick to forgive, over time he came to respect their partner and eventually gave them a chance. This lead to an event in which they began sternly preparing themselves for the future which further strengthened the duos relationship, making them both almost inseparable partners. Their rebirth would begin now as a challenge of ideas would give birth to a whole new thought between the team.
And then came the eighth birthday, then ninth, then tenth.
The years passed by in a flash with the additional friends made in their life, along with the deepened bonds created with Sasha. However, one thing they couldn't shrug off over the years that flew by was a complete hollowness embedded within them. It's as if they forgot something really important to them in their life. Troubled by this, Alexis often spent their time pondering over what was missed, and their Buneary became bemused over why their training was slowing down and undertook a valiant effort to quell their partners troubles... mainly by being blunt and asking them upfront, despite the language barrier. Though it did take some time to catch Sasha's drift, Alexis finally spoke to Sasha about their problem of trying to recall someone precious to them that they were neglecting over the years. It was as if it was tearing the child apart, well, that's at least how Alexis told it to Sasha. Neither could ever reach the truth, even after arduous thoughts that they both long pondered over. Either way, they began their familiar routine as their first contest was going to begin.
...
Even after the multiple contests Alexis and Sasha went through, they both felt a semblance of isolation and loneliness on the stage. Even though they both one a couple of contests and making the stage their turf, it never felt right to them. Alexis and Sasha couldn't figure out if it was the thoughts going through their head, or if they yearned for something more... There was also a strange letter which was written by a fan which wracked the rising contest stars brain. Alexis found the messages were enigmatic, and often took most of their time to analyze until fully understanding it. The notes after each empty contest began to fill Alexis with not only guilt, along with Alexis' and Sasha's degrading dream of going onto the stage again. The final straw that broke the Camerupts back came from the child's supposedly last contest at the age of fifteen.
After the streaks of new ideas and strategies, Alexis and Sasha finally had enough. They forfeited their recent contest after seeing a note that was delivered to them early. Sasha was confused by the rush Alexis was in as the teen bolted from the contest hall. Even though he was confused, Sasha tagged along with Alexis since he had no intention of getting near that god forsaken place. Eventually, they arrived at the docks, trying to find where she was or if she was in the resounding proximity where people were waiting for the second ship to come. As Alexis shoved through the crowds with brute force, the teen eventually reached the person in charge of letting them know when the next ship would arrive. Hectically, Alexis quizzed the man on the specific ship that was mentioned in the mysterious letter, asking when it would arrive. With utmost haste, the man responded to Alexis.
Nothing could stop the tears as the teen ran home, realizing that they would probably never meet again. Alexis' shenanigans with contests were driving a solid wedge between the friends left, as it was tedious work since Sasha and Alexis hated it. Eventually, the teen told their mom about how they were resigning from the contest scene as it wasn't as it seemed to either performer. The mother and child often had debates over whether Alexis should stay a contest-goer or not. Often, these ended in stalemates, with Alexis' mother despairing over the fact that her heir was defecting from the path she set out for the child. She wanted this to be a career for Alexis, but the teen did not want this path and wanted to perform a complete u-turn. Eventually, tired of the stalemates and fights he came home to, Alexis' father came up with the idea to send his child to the Fordis region so they could straighten their life out so they can get back on the path of performing in contests. The father lied to help his growing child out, as he wanted them to find their own path without being limited to all of the fights. He spoke to his sister, Aunt Arie, who was ecstatic to take the young teen in for a few years.
With this concurrent knowledge, Alexis and Sasha decided to camp out and experience Lilycove and the route by it one last time with friends before leaving for Fordis a few days later. Alexis spent half a year caring for plants and flowers in a mechanical city that kept moving. It was surprising to Alexis to find such a place in a city like Estoria, along with Aries own garden. Eventually, Alexis and Sasha came to one final conclusion which Arie was reluctant on at first, but understood the teens plea.
"What I needed to remember the most ended up being the memories not retained. I've lost bonds with close friends by coming here, you know that Aunt Arie."
"..."
"It's just like a contest stage to me, mere loneliness circulated around that place. I've lost myself and I've became isolated."
"I need to take this journey, to figure myself out, and to fill this gap within me so please don't stop me..."
"... Thank you Auntie Arie. I'm going to depart tomorrow since that's when most people will be coming to the lab. May need some tips from the professor and others, hehe."
"At any rate, you ready for this Sasha? Time to test our mettle and discover what we really are at the core!"
