Makoto sometimes has a tendency to be a bit childish, resorting to name-calling and other youthful activities. He dislikes liars and cheaters, simply because he likes things to be fair and even. While some dislike Makoto for whatever reason(s), others label him as "hard to hate" due to his witty and, sometimes, charming nature towards others."

"Makoto was born into the life of a Chaser. His father was one, and forced him to train every single day of his childhood. While Makoto hated it the early starts, the late finishes and the body-crushing work he was put through, he soon developed a gratefulness towards it, and ended up thanking his parent for it since he was now almost every bit as competent in fighting and other tactics as his father. Once reaching adulthood, he found himself in Crimson Skies, lost on what to do and who to ask for help, so he just spends most of his days alone, pondering on different plans of action."
