Iosef withdraws the blade, and gets on to riding the horse that wasn't terribly farther away. He's quite a bit wealthier, but he had burned a few precious minutes; fleeing to the next settlement would be a priority for him now.

The horse runs as fast as it can and soon, the forests begin to thin out, leaving place to large plains mostly traveled by caravan and nomadic species that come or go towards the Endless Deserts to trade with the native populations of gnolls and desert people. He encounters one such nomadic band heading towards the Endless Deserts

The caravan was not comprised of humans, it was mostly comprised of goblins, hobgoblins and the occasional gnolls acting as the band's protectors and warriors. Two gnolls had already seen him and they were heading towards Iosef, though they had no hostile look on them.

"Get back in line, will ya?" one of the gnolls says. "Your chieftan is going to deduce our pay if any of you is missing." one of the gnolls says

"Sounds like a plan. Let's go kick their arses, guvs!" With that, Connor leads the group into the forest.

As they moved on, they could see a man leaning over a fully armored murloc. He was muttering and cursing someone, and as soon as he noticed the group, he greeted them and said in a friendly tone:

"My good friends, are interested in a bounty?" he asks. "I know you all have contracts and all that, but I'm willing to pay handsomely upfront if you kill somebody for me."

Colmaz continued along the path that, as much as he could tell, headed into the Black Marshes.
What he really needed now was a group of some sort. Combat was not his favorite pastime, and he knew for a fact he wouldn't last long if he was going to be fighting off other mercenaries left and right. You could only get so far with potions and poisons. He stopped to eat some more, resisting the urge to take a nap.

I'm sure that a combination of our talents will be far more successful than either of us working alone." Gorun was fairly confident about the woman's morality: she had helped him out twice now.

While the lone knight had done the same, now he was acting ... fidgety. Something seemed to be bothering him. Gravelbeard was inherently suspicious of this fact, and wondered how to best discover what was being hidden.

"A hobgoblin just up ahead, he's only several minutes ahead, he robbed me and almost killed my bodyguard here." He says. "You should each him fairly fast. And about the pay, how much would you ask for this?"

"..." Maryvale is silent, supposedly thinking, though it was rather hard to pinpoint what she was doing beneath that armour. Thinking? Staring? Dying? When you've got nothing to go on but their body language, it's really difficult to tell what someone might be doing, especially when their body is completely covered in armour (minus the hair).

Finally, Blood speaks. "You do have a point. Although I'd rather not have you accompany us for your connections to the Grand Marshal, an extra knight wouldn't help, especially one of more skill than our current one. Perhaps you could even give him a few pointers - I'm not t'e most skilled instructor. Regardless, accompanying us is your decision."

*Knight nods trying to play it cool, until he starts going back to his natural form. He gives a small look of annoyance as his body shifts from human to dragon, his skin becoming covered with scales.* "Forgive me, as I have not told you what I am. Please do not attack me, I would hate to fight you. *His voice seems calm, yet almost annoyed with the situation. With a rumble, Knight's human form seems to dissipate and in it's place is a 15 foot tall black and red dragon. The garnet red eyes being the only sign that the man that was there is now the dragon standing in front of them with an annoyed look on his face. He is mostly annoyed because he miss calculated the time he had left in his human form, and well, now this.*

The Dark Knight then turns to Knight, though seeing him suddenly morph into a dragon, she draws her blade and takes a combat stance out of instinct. Though she doesn't look like she'll relieve her guard anytime soon, especially with that negative aura of purple and black that was charged around her body.

"Dragon!"

The rest of Maryvale's gang appears and none of them being surprised at the dragon, they all ready their weapons, with the high elf preparing a spell, none of them attacked though.

Due to his long lifespan and knowledge, Knight could realize it was weakening spell, it wouldn't affect him a lot, it would certainly stop him from breathing his flames for a while.

Colmaz finally found a place good enough to set up camp for the day, just off the road. By "setting up camp," he just emptied his backpack onto the ground and started collecting what little firewood he could find, often getting distracted by every little mushroom he crossed paths with. After collecting some twigs and all of the berries he could get his hands on, he stumbled over to his backpack and sat down. The alchemist hoped his rations would last him long enough to get him where he was going.
