[IC] Pokemon Adventures: The Giga Region!

Ray sent back out his Totodile and picked it up, spinning on the spot with him, each holding on to each other by the hands/claws whatever Totodile's hands may be called. "We did it Totodile, our first win!"

They both enjoyed all the praise from the trainers around them. From some experienced trainers and new alike. It seemed the dude from earlier with the Jolteons name is David, and he knew another young guy whose name was Jordan, Jeff? Through all the other words spoken, it was hard to tell, but the dude also had blue or purple eyes, something that Ray hadn't much seen before.

He heard of a battle brewing between David and Flora, they both radiated confidence and seemed like they would be awesome battlers. Ray kind of jumped in the air in his excitement to see people who have done it, lived it, and just been there on pokemon journeys take to the arena together. "Then what are we waiting for?" He asked everybody, with a excited tone to his voice. "Flora and David, c'mon please battle. I want to see it, Please." He looked towards the two of them, forgetting his manners a little as he had only just met both of these people, he is requesting a favor from.

Flora said something about his cell phone number, but Ray was too excited to see a new battle to really pay much attention. That went for the stat debuff thing as well, it kind of went over his head, as his mind was in the clouds as it awaited seeing another battle.

David smiles and said "sure a one on one sounds good to me" he then turned to the trainers. "You guys are more then happy to watch." Jolteon looked ready to battle. "Jolteon lets show them someone else. Don't worry you will battle." The Pokemon frowned but nodded.

David smirked and looked at Flora. "Well I'll send out mine first. Go polities!" David threw a Lure Ball and from the poke all came a green frog Pokemon. The Pokemon. "Politoed!" The Pokemon said happily as it spun. Jolteon stood by David watching. "So what's you're Pokemon?"

Elliot Forrester

Elliot listened to Floras advice on buffs eagerly, trying to absorb all the knowledge he could from his new mentor. Flora continued to go on about getting his phone number, which Elliot thought would be a good idea in case he needed any help. Let’s try and not forget about getting his number. The gym leader, David, proposed a battle between himself and Flora which Elliot couldn’t wait to see. He believed that this would be a great battle, seeing that they were both experienced trainers. David unleashed a big looking toad that Elliot had never seen before. He checked on his dex to find out that it was called Politoad and it was an evolution of a Poliwhirl.

Elliot casually walked over next to Ray and asked, “So who do you reckons going to win?” His Squirtle was still being carried looking quite comfortable.

Adam Wells | Blue Forest

Adam walked quickly in the forest, urgent to get to his destination. He didn't stop, even to look at the strange shadows of Pokemon moving in the forest, cast in the shafts of sunlight pouring in from the gaps in the trees. He then stopped, his eyes locked on the lake, a few meters ahead. From a pocket in his bag, he extracted a strange blue insignia, that one might say abstractly resembled the head of a certain Pokemon. He walked to the edge of the lake, and took his jacket off, as a sign of respect. He then waded a few feet into the water, before dropping the insignia into the water. It glowed as it felt to the bottom. Adam strained his eyes, to see the faint light protruding from he bottom of the lake. It glowed brighter and brighter, til the insignia broke the surface, placed on a silvery-gray stone, big enough for a man to step on... And that's exactly what Adam did.

He climbed on to the stone, and another rose out of the surface, slightly taller than the previous one. This continued until Adam was at the center of the lake. In from the of his, another rock, of tremendous size rose out of the water, with a blue crystal in the middle. The crystal shot a light into the sky like a beacon. A few minutes past, and in a blur, a blue figure soared past the lake, it then turned around, and stopped in front of Adam. With its sleek white and blue body, piercing eyes, and the aura it was giving off, it was an easily recognizable Pokemon. Latios.

Adam stepped forward and placed his hand on the Pokemon's head, and spoke.

"They know that you come here when called. They know that I'm here. From here on out, don't come here when called again. I've come to deliver a message before they come for you. Red is in trouble. They've taken her. I'm going to try and find her. All call you in a different way next time." From his bag he grabbed a flute, and played a beautiful melody, and ran down the rocks, as the others sank into the lake behind him.

"Here we go!" Flora called out with a smile on his face, as he threw out the only pokeball he had on him. A red stream of light emerged from it as it opened, before a large Venusaur emerged. The grass type remained stationary, eyeing the opponent with mild interest. It was clear that this Venusaur was an experienced battler, from some of the scars along her large form. Flora carefully recognized that David was an opponent worth acknowledging. He shouldn't underestimate anyone from the Elite Four. They were a dangerous bunch.

"Sludge Bomb!" Flora was quick to make a move. Buster, his loyal Venusaur, summoned a massive wave of vile, purple, sludge, flinging it quickly towards the opposing Politoed. However, the water-type was quick on his feet and able to dodge the terrible attack. In a brazen counter-attack, Politoed was ordered to use Ice Beam--which was an order he quickly carried out.

The damage would be super-effective, Flora realized that. But Buster most likely wouldn't be fast enough to completely dodge. Nonetheless, he called out the command. Buster shuffled quickly, but still caught a fair amount of the wave of ice, causing her to grimace.

"Giga Drain!" Now angered, Buster summoned her energy in several green waves, catching the Politoed off guard with her speed, which was caused by anger. The water-type croaked as the energy was sucked from him in a super-effective attack. In retaliation, he moved to use Hypnosis, but was once more surprised when the attack missed, just shy of hitting the large Venusaur, who glowered at him.

"Sludge Wave again!" It was a series of unfortunate events, Flora realized. The poor Politoed had bad luck for the battle--but was still an immensely quick and powerful pokemon. Luck had swayed in Flora's favor. But as the sickly purple wave only barely grazed Politoed, Flora realized that the water-type was getting tired out.

A quickly-aimed and improvised Psychic attack hit Buster head-on, but it still wasn't enough to end her, especially after the Giga Drain she pulled off earlier. One more full-front attack and Politoed would be done for.

"Giga Drain!" Flora called out right after the Psychic landed. Buster reacted immediately, pulling as much health from the Politoed as she could.

The water-type croaked, tumbling over on his side, clearly KOed.

Flora was silent for a moment, before recalling Buster.

"That was a good battle." He stated to David.

[Gareth]

Ray stood by Elliot and smiled as he said, "I think that Flora's pokemon will win. I mean it'll be a close battle but I think that the mentor has more experience."

Then the battle started and it was indeed close. Ray excitedly watched these huge pokemon go at it. It seemed the toad was going to win, by dodging the first attack and landing a hit with a attack of its own. Impressively the big green tree like pokemon was able to withstand an ice attack and take it like a champ. Wow, these pokemon are pretty tough.

Then more types of attacks happened, none of which are the tackle sort. As ray watched his eyes widened further, it excited him that one of his pokemon would grow to be as strong as theirs one day. And so he was so excited when at last the big grass pokemon won, Ray threw his fist in the air, then cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled. "Great battle you two."

Ray then marched up to Flora, and whispered in his ear, "um psst, sorry to bother you, but um can we go catch pokemon now, I want to find more Pokemon and grow them to be as strong as yours."

Elliot Forrester

As Elliot and Ray stood there and watched the fight, Ray answered Elliot's answer about who would win. Ray decided to go for Flora and seemed pretty confident with the answer he gave. Elliot didn’t know what to expect he didn’t really know much about his new mentors skill, but he knew that David must be strong if he’s one of the famous Elite Four.

The fight was over fairly quickly but Elliot was made up by it. It was the best fight that Elliot had ever seen in person and not on tv, he’d only witnessed small Pokemon fight in real life. A strange thought popped into his head and that was who would be cleaning up the mess that the Venasaur had left after she’d used sludge bomb. The smell was making Elliot feel a little ill. “Come on Squirrel, let’s get some fresh air for a second.” Elliot had told his Pokemon, Squirtel happily accepted and jumped out of his hands, walking towards the door.

Ted watched the battle with great interest. Ted had never seen an Elite Four member fight so this was a sight to see. He had seen other battles up close but never one with two experienced trainers before. His pokedex told him that the two Pokemon battling were a Venasaur and a Politoed. The matched seem to be in the grass typed the whole time, but nonetheless the battle was still exciting. Ted watched each move with, each tactic, even Snips got up and watched the match.

After the battle Ted walked up to David. He looked at the fainted Politoed with a worried expression.

"Is he going to be ok" he asked David. Ted had never seen what happens to fainted Pokemon. He always wondered what his brother did when his pokemon lost.

David was surprised he lost but decidedhe lost due to type disadvantage. He walked over feeding Politoed a revive and using a full restore. "Good job Politoed." Politoed smiles before he returned the pokemon. "Youre Venusaur is powerful. Im guessing she has been through a ton of battles huh?" He asked petting the Venusaur gently. He picked up Jolteon and told the new trainers.

:Just so you kids know Im one of the elite four. The elite four are a group of trainers who are there to test any challengers for the champion. if you lose to use you start the test over. From the first elite four member. I speciaize in Dragon Types. But I have my own personal team." David said "Im gonna be travelling the Giga region again. I hope to see you all in the Pokemon League soon." David payed Fora his winnings and waved bye to the trainers, Jolteon following behind him.

Flora gratefully accepted the winnings, and watched as David left. The Dragon-type Elite Four was certainly someone worth befriending as well as fearing. However, as Ray walked up to him, he jolted back into attention. Of course, he had plans to teach the new group of trainers how to catch new pokemon to add to their team. Ray seemed to be a severely outgoing trainer, which Flora appreciated. Being incredibly eager to learn only helped Flora do his job.

"Of course!" Flora confirmed loudly with a nod. "We'll be moving onto route 1, so I can teach you all how to catch pokemon! I suggest that before catching a pokemon, you all consider how the pokemon will factor into your team. Some people work better with a team of different types--while others have a team consisting of only one type." Flora told the new trainers, withdrawing Buster with relative ease. Flora moved to leave the small clearing. The Route 1 Entrance was nearby.

"WAIIIT!"
A loud, feminine voice called out. A short, pale-haired young woman in a large, flouncy coat hurried up to the group. A Treecko clung onto her shoulders. Unfortunately, the two seemed to be almost in tears. The female trainer slumped over--and it was clear that she had hurried to get o the location. "I'm Malia! I'm also a new trainer but I came late!" The girl cried out, sniffling. "I'm sorry! I was so scared when Professor Willow told me you all had left the lab!"

Sterling's One Weakness! A Crying Girl!

Immediately, the pale-haired young man seemed distressed at Malia's crying. He never liked seeing girls cry. It hit a deep nerve in him, and he wasn't really sure why. Before Flora even made sense of the situation, Sterling was rushing forward to the young woman, putting his hand hesitantly on her shoulder.

"It's okay! You're not late!" He quipped quickly, causing the brunette girl to peer up at him curiously. "New trainers can come in through the week! So, you're not really late. And you didn't lose us--we're right here! No one's mad at you." Sterling consoled her, and amazingly, her tears seemed to clear up as she looked at him.

Flora approached as well.

"Sterling is most certainly right!" The mentor stated clearly. "It's absolutely fine. We were just about to go to route 1, so you haven't missed much. I'll be sure to fill you in later."

Ray, watched as Elliot made his departure with a wrinkled nose apparently he didn't like a certain smell. Whatever it was Ray, couldn't really smell it himself. Shaking his head, Ray turned in time to see David introduce himself, formally as one of the "Elite Four". Ray had read about them in a library from an old pokemon book once. It was as David described they were like the final obstacle before facing the Pokemon League/Region/Continent whatever you want to call the grand area where all the badges were Champ. That's awesome I got to see an elite four in action and know a couple of his pokemon. A Jolteon and a toad thing.

He smiled happily as he heard, "Of course!" "We'll be moving onto route 1, so I can teach you all how to catch pokemon! The mentor was going to show them the way to be great trainers. Ray turned to follow the man, but noticed in the corner of his eye, that his totodile has a rock in its jaws, like its trying to eat it...... "Totodile no rocks aren't for eating..." His totodile only stared at him, blinking his eyes slowly.

"WAIIIT!"
Ray and totodile eyes snapped towards the yell. It was a young girl in distress with a treecko on her shoulders. Ray was about to go help her out and explain everything is ok, when Sterling suddenly relieved him of that job. Wow, did I miss something or is? Sterling found a girl friend?? Ray smirked as he thought about it...

Going back to the present problem, he went to pull the rock out of his totodile's mouth. "Grrr", came an audible growl from his pokemon as he put his hands on the rock that the mon wanted to eat... Ray started to tug on it as his pokemon continued to growl louder and louder...

"Totodile...." He said in exasperation as he was only trying to help his pokemon...

Elliot Forrester

“What can your name be, what can your name be…” Elliot said as Squirtle and himself looked at each other. They were sat down just next to the entrance against a wall.

Squirtle looked at Elliot with a cool smirk and and replied with one slow word, “Squirrrtleeee.”

“So that’s what you want to be called then? Squirtle?” Squirtle nodded his head in acceptance. “Not very creative but if that’s what you want.”

Squirtle had a big smile across his face, “Squirt squirt squirtle squirt.” The pokemon said in a happy tone, his raspy voice made Elliot laugh.

“So next on our journey to becoming the greatest Pokemon trainer is to get a Pidgey and a Growlithe.” Elliot started to tell his Squirtle of his plan. The first generation was always Elliot's favourite. “When that’s happened, we can go and show dad who the real idiot is then!” Elliot smiled has Squirtle looked at him with a confused face. All of a sudden, a girl flew past them, making Squirtle jump into Elliot. “Calm down Squirtle.” Squirtle looked up with an embarrassed look on his face and jumped back out of Elliot's lap. They both stood up together to go and see what was up with the girl, everyone seemed to getting ready to set off. The new girl was being consoled by everyone in the room. He didn’t really know what was happening but he guessed she was coming with them.

Ted thought about what the mentor said, he did not particularity have one favorite type so maybe he should see what he catches as he goes along.
Something moved on his head, it was Snips. Ted never would of thought he would have gotten such a lazy Pokemon, but aye they seem to like each other.

"WAIIIT!"

Snips jumped and landed in Ted's arms, Ted looked over to see Sterling and some girl getting all friendly. He snickered and put Snips back onto of his head. Ted walked up next to Flora, he was wondering what kind of Pokemon they would find on Route 1.

"Hey Flora, what kind of Pokemon will we see on Route 1." He asked as Snips yawned.

[Zerofighter]

David was walking through route 1. His Jolteon beside him. They beat any wild pokemon they faced with ease. But he healed them afterwords. He got to the next town and looked at his map. He shouldve gave the new trainers his number encase they ever wanted to hang out or wanted to train sometime. He wet to the Pokemon center and sat in the lobby. He was brushing Jolteon's back gently. "Does this feel good buddy?"
Jolteon barked in joy. But then stopped as it saw something. "What is it buddy?" He got up following the eeveelution. He saw it found a female eevee, it looked hurt. "What happened to you?" He got down gently petting the eevee. He used a full restore and carried her. To get any further treatment. He used his pokedex to check the eevee's moves."Lets see Shadow Ball, Quick Attack, Dig and Charm. Your a tough one arent you?" The eevee let out a tiny bark. Jolteon looked really concerned for the eevee.

After all that had just happened, Flora thought he could use a cup of coffee and a nice nap. Working with new trainers was turning out to be a handful. But it wasn't their fault. And at least they were all very eager to learn. The young mentor gave a weary grin as he watched the events unfold before him. It seemed like Sterling had done him a favor and taken weight off of his back by comforting Malia. Flora was glad that the new trainers were at least capable of supporting themselves and each other. Ray had approached him and asked him about catching pokemon, causing Flora to jolt back into attention. That's right! He had a goal!

"Alright everyone!" Flora called out, attempting to reign everyone's attention in on him. He had a responsibility, and he couldn't simply forget about it all. He was being paid. "We'll be heading to Route 1. I'll be teaching you how to catch pokemon there, and then you'll be able to start your adventure." After teaching them the necessities, Flora would remain in Anvil Town to welcome trainers who would be arriving throughout the week. Only at the end of the week would he seek out the different trainers and advise them on different topics. Inwardly, he wondered if any of them would choose to travel with each other. He supposed he would find out eventually. The young mentor moved from his standing position and began to head towards Route 1.

"Route 1 is a very mellow route." He told the trainers as they moved towards it. "The pokemon there are on the weaker side, level-wise, so it's a perfect place for new trainers to start out. Pokemon such as Caterpie, Pidgey, Pansage, and many more can be found there. I could tell you all of the pokemon found there--but I feel like it would be better for you all to discover for yourselves." Finally, they arrived at the gates of the town. Flora paused for a moment, before heading through the gates and into the wild world.

Malia was reassured about her lateness. Thankfully, she hadn't of broken down sobbing again. The Professor's sarcastic, biting edge hadn't of helped her fears in the slightest. Professor Willow was truthfully a bitter young man. It was odd for such a young man to be such a renowned professor. But he was a prodigy, supposedly. Malia brushed off the thought of the professor, walking alongside the others trainers. She cast curious gazes all around, noting which trainers had chosen which pokemon. So far, she seemed to be the only female of the group. It was mildly discouraging. But they all seemed friendly. Or at least, they all seemed not hostile. Her Treecko clung onto her shoulders, watching the town pass by until they all reached the gates.

"How pretty..." She was in awe of the gentle forest. Malia's voice was audible as she spoke, much to her embarrassment. She flushed a deep red color. She knew no one else's name here, besides the mentor. The young, pale-haired man who had comforted her was Sterling, as she had heard the mentor call his name. But she knew no one else here. They hadn't of introduced themselves, and she in no way was outgoing enough to ask anyone's name. Maybe they didn't like her all that much... The thought caused anxiety to swell within her.

Ray quit fighting with his Toto. If his mon wants to chew rocks, Well I'll let him... he was exasperated, at his toto's weird taste in 'food.'

Ray noticed that he was not the only one surprised at the new girls arrival, it seemed some reacted the way he did when sterling comforted the girl and others seemed a little confused. Whoever she is, she is probably a cool person. He thought as he pondered about her.

Then he blinked his eyes and was brought back to reality, by Flora's voice as he explained about their trip to route 1. "Pokemon on the weaker side" Pfft. I don't care, every pokemon has the potential to be awesome-and I'll prove it.

Ray then walked with Flora and the others towards the wild world. Within a short time, through new terrain and an entirely new area to Ray, he found himself in a wooded area. There was a lot of foliage and bushes and tall grasses.

This looks like fun, I'm going to explore.

Without saying a word to anyone else, he wandered deeper into the forest. Then he saw a small figure rush through the grass nearby him. You are mine. He threw the pokeball that Flora had given him at it. His eyes widened as he wondered if he caught it.

[Zerofighter]

David decided to take the eevee with him. it was currently in the PC. He got out dragonite and flew back to the pokemon league. His colleagues were calling him. He landed on outside the pokemon league and went to were the other Elite four were meeting up. He said "Sorry Im late.."

As everyone started to leave the lab together, Elliot started to get excited and nervous at the same time, knowing that he was about finally going to learn how to catch Pokemon. They all entered route one together, it was a charming little path. Elliot really liked the look of it. The main Pokemon he was looking for was a pidgey seeing that Flora had mentioned them being here, but he was going to try and catch every Pokemon he could. As they were walking through they hadn't come across a Pokemon yet. There was noises coming from the bushes and the woods that they all could here and Elliot was positive that they were getting very close to seeing them.

Suddenly Ray decided to run off right into the middle of the woods, it made Elliot laugh. He'd never really met anyone as forward as forward as Ray before. Elliot decided to stay back though with the group and see how Flora catches Pokemon. He looked over to see the new girl looking a bit upset, so he decided to go over and see how she was, "Hey I'm Elliot forrester, it's nice to meet you. That's a cool looking pokemon what's she called?"

Ethan rushed out of the lab with Maya as he had received his first pokemon, Cyndaquil which he named Cinder, "Hey Maya! You ready for an amazing journey?" Ethan asked as they approached the entrance to route 1. "Yeah. me and Vivi are so ready! Isn't that right?" Maya said as she looked down to her vulpix who was running right beside her. Vivi nodded and made a cry to show it was super excited. "Hey maybe Cinder would want to travel out of her pokeball for this trip?" Maya suggested "Good idea." Ethan said as he pulled out a compacted pokeball, hitting the button and expanding it. "Come on out, Cinder!" Ethan called out as he tossed the pokeball and releasing his Cyndaquil. "Alright you ready for adventure Cinder?" Ethan asked as Cinder let out a cry and a smiled at him. With that they took their first step onto route 1 and began their journey.

"So think we'll meet any cool people to travel with Ethan?" Maya asked as they walked through Route 1 "Hmmm maybe? I don't really know to be honest." Ethan replied "Oh yeah didn't the professor say other new trainers were out with Flora?" Ethan added "Yeah they only left a bit after we got our pokemon so they shouldn't be too far." Maya said. Soon they closed in on the gate to the next town, they see a group ahead of them near the gate "Hey think that could be them?" Maya asked "It's gotta be." Ethan replied as they both ran up to greet them "Hey are you the other new trainers that just left Anvil Town?" Ethan asked one of them.

Ted was ready to catch something. The excitement could be felt and seen in the air, even Snips was sitting instead of laying on top of his head. Flora was going to demonstrate hoe to catch pokemon and Ted needed to be ready, he was ready to get one of his own.
