"...So the Wheel of Fate is turning..."
A small beep from his cellphone. He picks it up, reads the message quickly.
"The experiment was successful. But he broke out, sir. We have no idea where he's headed and what his intentions are."
He doesn't care. Experiment 008 will not cause any harm to their operations. He makes a speedy reply.
"It doesn't matter. He knows not to intervene. Don't message me again. I'm expecting company."
The blinds open. He welcomes the new day.

Anvil Town, 9 AM on the dot
It was a bright, sunny day. Perfect for welcoming new trainers to Anvil Town. Throughout the next week or so, new and upcoming trainers, breeders and such would be arriving to receive their very own pokemon, and pokedexes! As well as receiving the necessary equipment, they would also meet their mentor. In the Giga Region, it was customary for every new generation of trainers to have a mentor or two, to guide them when necessary and such. People bustled throughout the rustic town, and most of the public's attention was settled upon the local train station, where the new trainers would be arriving.
"What delightful country air! So sweet, so marvelous!" A young man declared, stepping off the train. He shone with extravagance, and his very presence seemed to demand attention. "I wonder... my princess... Could she be here?" Sterling Xavier Alexander Chandler Charbonneau was a wealthy young man. Although a bit spoiled, he was giving, trusting to the point of being naive, and a soul who was eager to learn. Bag over his shoulder, he high-tailed it out of the station and into the streets, where he marveled at the vendors and the rustic aura the town gave off. Charming, it was beautiful in it's very own way.
He soon spotted a pristine, white building. It stuck out like a sore thumb. Immediately, he recognized it as the Pokemon professor's laboratory. A grin played on his lips, and his pace quickened. He moved through thin alleyways and even waved to friendly passerby, who responded to his amiable gestures. Eventually, he stood at the sliding, glass doors of the lab.
One more step, and his fate would be changed forever.
