If you don't mind, I'll field this one.

Ok, here are Lady A's quotes on the matter:
It tripped me up, first post, too. But after the chunk of greater understanding of the system with which Lady A insists we use for combat in her RP it was a rather easy transition, what with reading her instructions. Just to be certain, I used the same safeguard as she insisted you attempt: Looking and seeing what everyone else does with their headers.
Now, seeing as she just now gave a warning (and didn't null your last post, read above) with that chunk of advice, I'd say we're doing ok. Not great, obviously, but you now have the framework necessary to format both combat and basic interaction posts. Use headers. When it calls for (in the header) who you're interacting with, post everyone with which you interact in your post. In the body AND header, as the enemies have been given a clock-style number assigned based upon initial location, use the numbers.
It makes the process so much easier for the players to visualize and keep track of the fight. Also, as the GM is responsible for every NPC status and action, it makes it significantly more manageable for her.
I hope this has answered your questions on the matter. If there's still something a you're a little fuzzy on, let me know. Here to help, and such.

Ok, here are Lady A's quotes on the matter:
All Goblins and Magic Using Orcs are in padded leather, Rest are in light armors. These creatures vary in strength but are on a comparable "level" to you all; so this will not be a one hit wonder type of fight. Chose what you attack my their "times" and refer to them as such in your post to cut down on confusion. Use "time" locations to help tell of how you attack. You will control what you attack personally; how they attack you - you may NOT say what attacks anyone else. Now, claim rotation and call number in OOC and then begin. Welcome to Thunderdome.
Was not clear on which Orc Malkus hit in the back with the dagger other than it obviously was not the mounted ORC. Am assigning damage to 5 since it was closest to the one of the two mounted ones but there was no mention of the Jackals.
@Lucius CypherYour previous post is considered null and void in its entirety. Reason for this is because you did not, for the second time use the time denotions either in your header or in your post for your attack as was instructed of in the beginning of the fight and reminded of in the last update. The first round of incorrect posting was given a freebie, second time = post never happened. (And no you may not reuse anything when your turn comes up again, you must pick up from your post before the cancel one and start from there.)
@Lucius Cypher Dude, you still didn't put it in your header which you were attacking. ><! I will let it slide this one time but from now on if you do not denote who you are attacking in your header like the rest of the groups and then denote them in your post as well it will be a null and voided post again. You have to follow the rules laid out both in OOC and IC. Check the others posts how they are doing it. If yours is not following suit, chances are you missed something. You have already had one nullified post, don't want to make this a habit. It is a waste of your time to write it and ours to read it if it is nullified.
