Rikka was always very quiet and didn't express much of her emotions to others. This doesn't say she is shy but she resembles it sometimes when she is embarrassed or scared of something. Rikka shows that she is happy and sad and doesn't try to hide it much from others. She liked it when people listen to the things she created and often tries to give them something in return. Rikka is a very sheltered girl and doesn't like people trying to get closer to her. She tries to ignore them or maybe tries to get rid of them. Rikka has a big passion towards music and doesn't hide it, she often carries her guitar around to let other people hear her emotions through music and wants to make other people smile. Rikka doesn't like it when people keep asking her about her voice and will grow sadder if it is the case.
Rikka was born as only child in a somewhat poor family, not enough money to go out with the family for dinner or something fun but just enough to survive the cold harsh world they live in. The dad of the family was a trash collector and the mom worked at a small bakery. They were always working so she didn't have much contact with them except for weekends. But even then they would be resting on the couch or something else that was alike. Rikka didn't have much ways to show how she felt to her parents because she was born with the inability to speak. When it came across to them they would ignore her feelings and turn the conversation to something else. Yet this was still done with a smile so they didn't hate her at all in fact.
Rikka learned sign language together with her parents but still she was one of the better ones under the three of them. They made it easier to converse to each other but it didn't feel like any emotion was brought over this way. Saddened she continued to keep going to school and sitting home alone doing nothing since she quickly grew bored of her toys. It didn't help that no one wanted to approach her either because of the lack of conversation she could make and how boring she actually she was. Rikka would often walk past stores in between school and walking to home since there wasn't anything better to do anyway. Toy stores, clothing stores, supermarkets or music stores, anything would brighten her day. They were all pleasures she liked to do in her free time and enjoy them. Music was something she could always listen to and it was something that made noise and could entertain her for days.
Christmas eve her parents looked tired but happy to see their daughter surprised by the big christmas presents under the tree. Once upon opening tears sprung to her eyes as she saw the shining new electric guitar and amp her parents had bought for her. Out of frustration she sign languaged crazy on where they had spent their money on. After a shock they could still laugh at her. Rikka cried and cried and hugged her parents on how happy she was with their kindness.
For the present they gave her she felt like she had to repay her parents somehow so she started working herself too as part timer. Not only did it fill in her bored life it also earned her some money in the progress. She would give all her money to her parents so they could pay the bills they had. They were surprised by her current actions but it made them happy and they wouldn't deny the money she gave to them. Getting a part timer job wasn't easy for a mute person. She tried working at maid cafes and all other kinds of jobs like in supermarkets or shops but nothing seemed to fit her. It was hard if people asked you something and you couldn't properly reply or they wouldn't understand. So she ended up at her mother bakery where she could work in the back of the store. She could also keep several of her old jobs behind the wall like sorter of food or sorting letters and packages. Suddenly her life was full of activities but it made her happy to know so many people. Rikka did never give up on playing guitar and actually grew better a lot. After bringing her guitar to school and practicing she was noticed by some of her senpais and other members of the music club. They never seemed to commend on her inability to talk but only notice how kind and good she was at guitar playing. Rikka felt happy, for the first time in her life she could enjoy life to the fullest. Her schedule was filled with tasks and practices. Her family was happy and didn't have to work as much anymore since the huge help called Rikka was there now.
Rikka started performing in school festivals, some of the students questioned why she was the only one on stage who wasn't singing but it quickly cleared up and most of the people around school knew her quite well now. Not only the people around school knew her well. She was scouted by a small agency. The music club was hyped about one of the members being so good. Well it was no surprise by the time she put into her guitar play. Yet she was the only one being scouted. None of the other girls were scouted yet they still cheered for her. With a tear and a smile she left the music club since she had to chose one of the two with the time she had at her hands and continued her career as solo guitarist to grow bigger. It was scary at first and it stayed scary but she was supported by many people so they carried the same burden. She was put on small stages not much bigger than 2 square meter in a shopping center but she tried making the most of it even if no one was watching. It made her blush to see some of the people from her school still enjoying and being at her concerts everyday. There weren't many but the girls from the music club where there and some of the boys from her class for some reason.
Stages became bigger and a lot more people wanted to see her perform. She was happy and actually earned some money from it sometimes. The same people stayed for her performance and she grew confident of them. Soon she started going around the country to perform on medium stages and had to travel really far sometimes. When she had her first performance on the other side of the country she invited her friends to go with her but no one could come since the large distance. So there she went on the train towards her audience. It made her feel a anxious to be in front of so many people without anyone she knew. Her friends where her confidence. She went onto stage and at first it was really good but people grew bored by her guitar only. People cheered her on to sign but her guitar play became awkward and softer. Eventually the guitar was hanging from her side as she looked at her own two feet. This was bound to happen sometime. Some of the audience were shocked to see the defeated girl but some continued cheering and yelling sing. Was this a joke? She ran off stage dropping her guitar in the progress as a loud yell echoed through the room above anyone else 'cut the crap' She stopped and with tears in her eyes she looked in between the audience where one of her male classmate was standing with a small free area around him from the scared people.
One of her classmates had seen her like a mess. She continued running ashamed by the sights of her and immediately traveled home by the quickest train. At home her parents were arguing for possibly the first time yet they acted like nothing happened. Rikka didn't feel very well. Like a feeling she hasn't felt in a long time. Rikka kept running and running no matter what was in her way. Eventually it was too late. She ran across the street and was hit by a car. Her body was swung across the street. Yet she wasn't fatally hurt. The sight of the car made her think otherwise. 3 people, one impaled by a telephone pole and two stuck in a burning car. Rikka stammered backwards and began running again. Without looking she bumped against her senpai that had seen her at the concert. With fear in her eyes she pushed him to the ground and ran past him. Rikka didn't want anymore of this. She had to escape reality if it only was for just a moment. She had to go some place alone. Rikka climbed a few fences and luckily enough could get to the top of a new build skyscraper which wasn't very high yet but it was about 30 meters high. She fell to her knees once she was at the top and panted lightly by the amount of stairs. She looked over a part of the town in the middle of the night and began crying. She bundles up her body and continued to gaze over the town for at least a hour.
In the time she had for herself she started thinking about her life, she didn't want anymore of this. She was done with everything. After having grown up out of a ditch she ended back in it again. She was tired of working and felt how her parents felt for so many years. It was a horrible feeling. She might be better of quitting the guitar forever or something like this would happen again. But what was senpai doing so far away from home. Why was he at her concert. He was at the other concerts too but she might have never truly notice him. He had talked to her before but maybe she just didn't see him like he did see her. He helped her a lot with small things and never seemed to be conversation with anyone else either. Oh my god did she have a fiance. Rikka blushed but shook her head. How could someone so stupid have a love life. She buried her face in her scarf and suddenly turned around. Footsteps. A tired senpai was in her sights. Rikka turned her whole body while sitting and stammered backwards while shaking her head.
Senpai was carrying her guitar with him 'You left something' he said while heavily panting in between. Sweat was on his forehead and it looked like he searched the whole city. How could she have been so stupid not to notice. She slammed her fist against her forehead while crying and stood up while trying to wipe the tears away. He tried to get closer but with each step he took she took a step back. He tried talking to her but she couldn't reply back. He yelled out to talk to him, it sounded more like a command. Rikka cried more but gave him a small sign. He called out the thing she said to him. Rikka realised. He hasn't been sitting still. He knew sign language, he learned it to talk to her. Why was she so dumb not to have done this before. Rikka cried a lot more and signed a few more things to him. She never seemed to stop with signing. He suddenly said only one thing while Rikka took her last step back 'I love you as well' Rikka smiled as her foot slipped. It was bound to happen. Rikka could only smile, she did not mind. She deserved it for ruining a boy his life. She could only see the purple sky above her as fell down. A sudden flash made her realise that senpai had jumped after her. He took hold of her body and hugged it as hard as he could. Rikka smiled warmly at him as she said something to him with her lips 'Thank you'
