@Cuccoruler

Cucco-san Does The Merge have a council or something similar to that.

hmmm I don't believe so, the whole merged thing is so new that there wouldn't be one, at least not yet, there may be one by the end of the RP

@Trevor1001
Also I am planning on making a rather innocent God soon, one that isn't based on war or anything

@Trevor1001 I'm debating making a second char who's the child of the christian god and another deity. More of an observer/manipulator. But I made Jera before all the other War deities, so I win :P

oh sorry I forgot to answer the question about the christian god earlier. No Christian god (personal reasons, also he is kind of a god of everything anyways would make whatever kid he had too op), Christian angels on the other hand are allowed.

@Hjalti Pretty sure side swapping may be allowed, but she probably had to take an oath as well when her side lost if she did support the old regime. I did side swap Boreas, which made no comment so I assume that's okay. And I think some titans aided the gods when they rose against the other titans, the reverse would make sense.

Are there going to be many second characters? Another might be interesting...

@Cuccoruler Ah, okay. So no Son/Daughter of God Messiah figures? Also, are the dead gods gone or imprisoned in the underworld/afterlife?

@PerseusArchean I could see Jera aiding gods as a resistance fighter :P

that's a good question... having them imprisoned in the afterlife would certainly be interesting... for now let's have them be in the underworld, all will be too weak to move or do anything. I should make an npc to act as a gatekeeper for the underworld for now huh?

@Cuccoruler I remember reading a similar concept that had the gods imprisoned in blocks of ice.

Give me a bit of time to brainstorm. If I get any ideas I'll ask about co-gming. In the meantime it should be alright to just start us off in Olympus soon after the remaining gods were sworn never to rise against the Merged. This will give us a chance to argue over what new leadership should be set up, if any.

Debating this second character. A work in progress that I may or may not use.

Appearance:
To those who can see it, Lycurgus is a monstrous creature, measuring over 200 feet in length and weighing over 300,000lbs. It is supported by eighteen human-like arms, each with two elbow joints instead of one, ending in twelve fingered hands. Each finger has eight joints/knuckles which are constantly flexing and bending in unnatural directions.
A human head hangs dangling by a seemingly single piece of flesh, as if struck from behind by an axe. Within the stump of the neck rests a serrated beak, with no eyes to speak of. It's elongated torso stretches back, ending abruptly with no hint of legs and the skin along its back has been flayed down the spine with the flesh hanging down its sides like a cape or a cloak, exposing a pale, insectile, chitinous endoskeleton beneath.

Name: Lycurgus

Gender: None/Intersex

Godly Parents: Dionysus, Nyarlathotep

Sphere of Control: Intoxication, Ritual Madness, Ecstasy, Cults, Subservience, Deceit, Imperceptibility, Nightmares.

Personality: Patient, wordless, observant.

Sacred Animal: None.

Powers:

Imperceptibility - Lycurgus can not be observed or even interacted with by the sane. It cannot be heard, seen or touched. It is invisible to the five senses. Those who do perceive its form are either driven mad or were already mad to begin with.

Induce Nightmares - Where Lycurgus resides, the surrounding area is plagued by horrific nightmares without end.

Induce intoxication and ecstasy - Those in its immediate presence, and especially those who worship Lycurgus, find themselves in a state of intoxication and ecstasy, as if on numerous substances while also experiencing the purest form of physical and sexual pleasure.

Miracles - To its worshippers, Lycurgus is able to perform unbelievable miracles. These miracles are a lie and merely an extension of Lycurgus' own natural abilities.

Cults - Due to Lycurgus' powers, many cults begin to arise to worship it. Nightmares are seen as blessings or attempts at communication and madness is cherished.

Weapon(s): States of intoxication, ecstasy and madness.

History:
Lycurgus was borne of an act of irony, whereby Nyarlathotep tainted a glass of ambrosia from which Dionysus drank, impregnating him with the creature. When the Greek god was slain, Lycurgus clawed its way free of the corpse and settled unperceived, amongst the greek ruins of the earth.
From there the creature grew to nightmarish size, gaining followers from the surrounding areas and isles, sending the surrounding areas into a state of debt and debauchery. Being the offspring of ancient, Outer Gods, Lycurgus knows nothing but patience. It will wait, consuming the sanity of its followers until all bow at mention of its name, whereupon it will awaken its brethren to devour the earth.

Other: Those who have seen it's form have described the creature as being incapable of communicating in any way other than the bubbling gurgles of a creature retching mixed with the sounds of a chorus of tortured screams.

@Hjalti Would Ox have seen the Lycurgus' birth when he slew Dionysus?

@Cuccoruler I PM'd you some ideas, but addressing the issue of npcs there should be a lot of them given that we fought all the pantheons at once and won, and there were enough of them to pressure some of the PCs into action as well. That said some would have been killed in the rebellion too. We're probably going to need a few random nobodies if we start at a meeting like I suggested earlier. If you accept me as co-gm I can give voice to a few of them. Probably going to need a de facto leader/group of instigators who first began plotting rebellion and sparked the violence. Like you said as well, we're going to need npcs in certain positions like a jailor for the deceased gods and imprisoned.

@PerseusArchean Only if he's insane in some way, otherwise Lycurgus would be completely invisible to Ox.

I also find it ironic that Hel is dead and imprisoned in the underworld.

@Hjalti

Dionysus was singled out as well so that Occus could gain dominion over the Satyrs and Centaurs, and though the god temporarily drove Ox to insanity he still fell to his spear staff, the Blodsek.

During the battle Dionysus used his powers on Ox, but his new temporary madness didn't make him any less inclined to kill the god.

@PerseusArchean I missed that. My bad. I would probably say the creature burrowed through the spine and into the darkness of the earth in that case.

@Hjalti That's alright, it would have been small anyway at that point, and still touched by madness Ox probably saw a lot that wasn't actually there. What about Nyarlathotep? If she survived would she know of her child's existence?

@PerseusArchean I would be genuinely surprised if Nyarlathotep even cared about the battle, let alone perished. He's typically more focused on appearing as an ancient pharoh, deceiving his cult followers with 'miracles' and plaguing the surrounding areas with nightmares, leaving nothing but chaos and destruction in his wake. If he were a D&D deity, he'd be Chaotic Evil.

He has at least twenty-two recorded avatars (Including Samael, the Angel of Death/Venom of God), each one typically worshipped as a different deity by a different cult. Technically, you could even consider Lycurgus as another avatar of Nyarlathotep. Nyarlathotep himself only has one parent, the Outer God Azathoth. He ultimately wouldn't care about the battle outside of the destruction and chaos wrought by the conflict.

@Hjalti Okay then, more creepy evil gods of the universe and unknown power. Great.

Has everyone been seen to? Any questions or apps still in need of approval?

@PerseusArchean Lovecraft and Chambers in a nutshell :P That's why I created Lycurgus to be more of a stationary deity whose power is exerted more through the power to influence others.

I would like to join again:

name: Anatole
gender: Male
godly parents: Chernabog, Echidna
sphere of control: Monsters, Chaos, Mischief, The Sky, Magic
personality: Anatole is a quiet, reserved, regretful but kind and compassionate deity. He's not necessarily polite, but he USUALLY is. He can get rude and downright hostile if he's continually chided for his parentage. He has morals and ethics from his mother's side, and ironically, even though she was also bestial, if not evil, he's a moral and ethical person in his own right.
sacred animal: The Bull, A Rainbow Snake
powers: Anatole is physically one of the strongest gods. He's by no means the fastest, but he's supernaturally durable, and capable of magical powers that reproduce other god's powers (to a much lesser degree), he can transform into a dragon monster with many heads, like a hydra, and he is supernaturally intelligent. His magic is, although reproducing other powers of other's through inferior emulation, also conjures incredibly powerful illusions which aren't weighted down for being another god's purview. He is also extremely good at the powers of wind, rain, and thunderbolts. Also, many powers you think that an ultimate evil god has, Anatole probably has, although not all.
weapon(s): Anatole possesses a "legendary" staff of magical power. Some say it's the Rod of Aaron, others say it's a magical staff Merlin used during the early Middle Ages. In reality it's a possession that Anatole created through pure force of will, alchemy and enchantment in the year 1900. This staff increases the wielder's control over magic. ((Anatole's magical reproduction of powers is still inferior to other god's own purview but it allows Anatole to seem to be omnipotent to those who aren't well versed in the supernatural world of gods high immortal beings)).
History: Anatole was born long ago, despite his young appearance. He is suitably creepy and frightening because of his voice, his attitude of "superiority" is because of his decision to distance himself from innocent people who could get hurt because of his affiliation with his parents and his past. In 1860, Anatole considered himself an embryo. Even in his first seconds of creation he was self-aware. He was a dark child, unwittingly and also willingly causing harm to many innocent people. Eventually, Anatole decided to turn towards more benevolent deities, becoming a sort of supernatural executioner or mercenary, depending on your point of view. Anatole's decisions to do good, to support good aligned deities instead of opposing their will, and supporting Humans earned him a Human's rewards in life. Anatole, thus, is insanely regretful for his past.
