Short bio (+personality):Born in 1530 as the daughter of a poor fisherman in the eastern coasts of China, Sengchou was destined to live the life of a commoner. But then the Wokou pirates attacked. Her parents were of the first casualties of the conflict, with his father going out one day to the sea when she was five and never returning and her mother being violated and murdered in their own home days after during a surprise raid while she hid in the closet.
Hours, maybe days after the raid had ended, Sengchou was found still hiding in the closet by one of her neighbors, a young man who hid from the pirates, much like she had done.
Having lost everything, the man took Sengchou to the Shaolin Temple, located in the Song Mountain in the Henan province. It was a trip that took months to complete, filled with dangers lurking behind every corner. Their plan was to ask for asylum, but things took a turn for the better when the Monks took Sengchou in as one of their own, devoid of prejudice and filled with sympathy for her situation. The man, though, was not so lucky and was soon forced to depart, leaving behind a crying seven year old Sengchou.
From then on, life became a blur of honing both mind and body. Her life was simple and straight to the point, but things eventually caught up to her again. News reached the Temple that the Wokou Pirate problem had not only gotten worse, it was straight out becoming a national threat. With the news came a military man, and with the military man came conscription. Sengchou was one of the young warrior monks, at the age of twenty four, who were conscripted and forced to fight the pirates.
But one night, while she patrolled a forest along with five common soldiers, they were ambushed.
Ten disheveled men jumped out of the bushes and cut down her comrades and while she managed to kill two of her assailants, she was soon overwhelmed by their numbers. Sengchou was captured that night, and spent months being tortured by the pirates in all manner of ways. they were always careful with her, though, for they didn't want to permanently mar her beauty.
They eventually grew tired of her so one night after using her, they beat her to near death and dropped her off in the nearby woods, where they had captured her nearly a year ago.
Hours into the night, as Sengchou sobbed and held on to her last breaths, she felt the cold grasp of death take her.
Only to see a monk walk into her sight, holding what looked like a small bowl. He gently gave her some of what was in the bowl, and she eagerly drank it.
It tasted like blood, but that might've just been her split lip messing with her taste.
She woke up the next day as good as new. She was still naked and dirty, but she was alive, and she felt thankful.
So she walked through the forest and found a pond in which she bathed. When she looked at her reflection in the water, though, she realized she looked paler than she remembered.
A month after her release, Sengchou found her way back to the Shaolin Temple. She had attacked bystanders on the way back home and drunk their blood. Scared of herself and her actions, she hoped the elder monks would be able to help her. They couldn't, though, and a year later, after finally succumbing to her new instincts and attacking a fellow monk, she left the Temple, her only home.
First, she visited Japan. Then, the rest of China. Eventually she traveled through Africa and found herself in the Middle East where she met a man, named Thomas, who told her she was a Vampire. For a couple centuries they traveled together, learning different martial arts and taking in all the cultures they could.
And then one day the man told her he had to go back to his home, England, and she was left alone once more. After a few years of lonely traveling, she found her way to England, where she met Francois Malkavian, a Vampire Elder who offered her a place within his House after she'd unknowingly killed and fed on one of the House's Aspirants and fought off the three Kyres sent after her with only a staff.
A century has passed since then and she's made her way to Adjutant, having shown her exceptional loyalty and level-headed nature which comes from having been a Buddhist Monk for her entire life.
