Sorry everyone! I'm not dead yet, just been a busy weekend. I'm catching up with everything as we speak, so look out for updates later today for reals!
@Crimson Flame@Bigg Slamm@Eleventhfret@Pyromania99 So I believe the question of the amount of starters were asked. I don't believe there should be a limit if your Pokemon fit into your background. It's just that through this journey you can catch more Pokemon to join your team too. You don't have to be a brand new trainer, you just have to be a trainer who is fresh and new to Kalos if that makes sense.
Right now you can put a Kalos starter on your team, but it again has to fit in with your background. Or you can just wait until we start the IC to obtain your starter.
i know my whole team. i transfered my char from anothe rp that went under so i'm still wanting to use the team i planned for him. just a warning: be prepared for a honedge wielding golett and eventually an aegislash wielding golurk.
First post is up, everyone doesn't have to meet right off the bat, but will have to end up being in Lumiose City within the next one or two post of theirs! This first one is more of an intro of to where you are and what you're up to in Kalos!
@Bigg SlammI think it'd be best for you to post it whenever you can. In case you need to edit things in it would make more sense for you to post it so you can edit it rather than me doing it. So take your time on posting it up in the Character Tab, no worries!
Name: Lakota Sky Nickname: Sky Age: 16 Class: Trick performer. (Someone who trains alongside pokemon to preform dangerous stunts with them in the future.)
Appearance: Like to dress as what her family calls a reble. But when shes in the ring she can be seen in sportsmen cloths from riding pants and boots to jump suits. Has a set of green eyes with curly red hair, something that always stuck out with her family but that she wore with pride.
Personality: Lakota is a daring girl, a full time adrenaline junky that was practically drilled into her from a young age and she loved every moment of it. She is a person who if sees something wrong will act first and always go with her gut. Although it goes against her training, each performance she has, she plans for months for each trick to be perfect and safe, but when it comes to the real world were everything can go wrong, close steady thinking tends to go out the window. Shes kind, a bit on the loud side but will stick up for those who needs a hand and will not hesitate to call someone out.
Background: Lakota was adopted and taken in as a member of the Sky family. She was only three years old when she was taken in and really has no idea where she came from. Only that she was loved by the sky family and that Unova was and will always be her home no matter what happens. When she was a child pokemon trick preforming was almost unheard of due to how large gym battles and contests had become. Training that took entire life times and were still dangerous was being practiced less and less, yet Lokota's mother, Cheyenne did not give up on the family legacy. Lokota would look outside her bedroom window and watch her mother for hours try to perfect the family trade with determination on her features. Ever since then made it a point to try and be like her parents, stubborn in everything till they get what they started for. Learning how to ride before she could walk she was given a Bouffalant when she was only four year old as a pet,. Lokota loving that bull to the point that she would bring it in the house and absolutely refuse to put in in a poke ball caused her mother to start to take the girl under her wing. Life had become a dream for Lakota. Onix, laprass, milotics, Charizards, any pokemon that she could ever think of was brought to her home at one point or another, small or large, young or old and she got to train with them all throughout her life. She slept in the barn, told all her secrets to them, and had a constant need to draw the things she would see when she was working. She interacted with pokemon far more than she had with humans. It took her life over to the point that while her parents were developing their performances to take on the rode, Lakota was doing the same with what she was being taught.Every fall she spat up dirt and got back on, every scrape she sucked up her tears and asked her father's companion to come back, or not to worry when it fretted over the youngest sky. She was stubborn enough to Actually go far enough and create her most heart stopping stunt, stand on the back of her father's charizard in flight, no safety gear, no net as she leaps from safety to open air only to be caught by the dragon. Yet even than her Bouffalant stole her heart. The thundering chaos of hooves would always be heard as the six year old would stand tall and proud on a rampaging bull, hand stands on his shoulders or placing her feet in the harness in just a way that she stuck out the side to open air perfectly. Nothing ever beat the work she could do with her bull.
At age six she became Lakota girl of the sky. Travailing all across Unova alongside her mother and father she got to see all kinds of things growing up, and throwing things like fear out the window. Her family home forgotten as they took to the road, spreading the word far and wide that trick preforming was still here, and that such dangers could still be done. Lokota became her own person on the road, her love of art developing into quit the skill with a pen she could be found sitting anywhere and skecting her work with her Bouffalant or father's charizard. Friends were fast yet always fleeting, always saying goodbye in the same breath as hello yet she would do so with a smile on her face at the idea that she could make more memories in the next town. A young woman growing up on the road that would break away from camp to explore and see some incredible things as a reward. Shes shook hands with the champions, congratulated for her work, fought battles with the team she trained with in the ring. She was living every trainer's dream
And yet she did not have a pokemon that she could say was hers after age 14. Her beloved Bouffalant was growing to old to continue their travels together, and so was entrusted to her grandparents. The news hit Lokota hard. Yes she rode her father's charizard through the skies to be dropped, she would move through the joints of her mother's Steelix without a thought. But to know that her Bouffalant could no longer preform with her was making her feel like she let her childhood partner down.
It was not until she found a Ponyta being sold by hand to hand that she thought to really try to gain her own partner again. Age 15 a full year passing and yet when passing through a festival to hear a screaming foal, the trick rider Lokota was back. Without even blinking she bought that foal, letting it loose in the woods near by only to find that it was too stubborn to leave. She remembered how there was something about it's eyes, a determination that refused to leave. And so with a smile on her face she let the little guy come back home with her. Naming him Amate she found herself actually connected with a pokemon again for the first time since she had to give up her Bouffalant. Amate only being what looked like a year and a half, had a lot to learn though. And so with two equally stubborn souls they practised together, non stop training. It was back to sleeping in the barn, spitting up dirt from falling and drying tears from broken bones.
There was something else about Amate that was different from Lokota's Bouffalant. That little horse was fast, powerful strides that made every move look heart stopping as she would kick her leg perfectly in the air, her torso hanging down only to fall next to the now stallion's deadly hooves. A trick that she loved almost as much as the move called the spear.
Her Amate, now a full grown rapidash standing even taller than most horses shes seen looked to be a grand creature. Lakoto took to him with as much pride as her parents had for her. And so, as they sat down with her, tears in their eyes they offered her to start her journey as a real trainer in Kalos, even if its a little late in life.
Pokemon Party: Amete:
Due to constant upkeep since he was a foal Amate is big for a rapidash. Standing at 17 hands instead of the usually 15 and looking to be almost 15 hundred pounds. Knows: Flame charge Agility substitute megahorn
Miscellaneous: Lakota is a huge nerd for anything with fantasy lore and dreams of making a team full of pokemon with dragon and fire types due to them being the best to work with in trick preforming.
Trick preforming is also loosely based on trick riding, the most dangerous form of horse back riding.
