Name:
Kaitlyn Gabrielle Thorne
Friends call her Katie
Age:
16
Height:
186cm
Weight:
60kg
Year:
2nd
Nationality:
United States of America
Personality:
Ask anybody who knows her what she’s like and they’ll likely all say the same thing: Katie don’t give a fuck. She’s a free spirit, man. Impulsive, selfish, and downright mischievous, the girl really does just live in the moment.
In that vein, it’s not surprising to know that Katie’s a thrillseeker. She likes trying new things, the more dangerous or unhealthy, the better. Consequences be damned. If she or somebody else could potentially be hurt...well, screw it. #yolo, amirite? It’s not like the girl is looking to die or anything...but one never knows if one will wake up the next morning. So live life to the fullest. Have fun. Take risks. Get hurt. Move on. Just live. All that jazz.
With her overall aversion for safety, it’s rather surprising to know that the girl is actually pretty damn smart. She consistently scored high on exams and would likely be in the top percentile for her class. But she’s not a genius, just really good at figuring out how things works. Patterns, numbers, etc, her mind picks those things up quickly. Coupled with a rather decent memory and quick reading speed and it makes school more or less child’s play. While the real world may be different, at the moment she’s soaring high.
But her intellect isn’t exactly something used purely for good. Because Katie is as analytical as she is, it’s easy for her to get a read on people. And with that comes the darker side of Katie. She’s manipulative. She gets a bit of a sick pleasure out of getting others to do what she wants or just outright lying to them. It’s not always to her benefit either, sometimes she just messes with people for shits and giggles. Almost worse than that manipulative side, the girl can be downright cruel. And at times, if she really gets going, the girl may not know exactly when to let things go.
Despite her many flaws, Katie isn’t all bad. She just loves having fun. But she’s actually rather laid back, all things considered. She doesn’t get angry often and holding a grudge doesn’t seem to interest her at all. Anybody that can tolerate her quips and maybe fire back a nice burn every once in awhile, well that’s friend material right there.
Just uh...take everything she says with a grain of salt, and don’t let her plan the day’s activities unless drunken skateboard jousting sounds fun.
Bio:
Meet the bastard: Katie. The product of a one night stand between a successful lawyer and her best friend’s husband. Oops. That’s a secret that Katie’s mother plans on taking to her grave. As far as a father figure...well, there really isn’t one in the girl’s life. Mother tried, but a woman can only do so much. And in the end, she chose work over her daughter. That’s not to say that Katie was neglected, persay, but the women never really bonded that much.
So her childhood was one of relative normality. Was it perfect? Nah. Could it be worse? Sure. Katie was content. But Katie was bored. Really bored. And as she grew older, the girl decided to find ways to keep her entertained. Seldom innocent, the girl got herself into any kind of trouble that she could find. She purposely placed herself in dangerous situations, often just to annoy her mother. And why not? It was fun…
But the fun eventually wore down on Mother’s nerves. She realized that she had a monster on her hands and she didn’t know how to deal with it. That is, until her best friend recommended a place called Nakkashiro Gakuen, a foreign boarding school. Mother was skeptical at first, but the more she looked into it, the more convinced she became. The school dealt with gifted students across the globe, and seemingly had a focus on social etiquette. If any place could tame her unruly daughter, it would be that place.
And, uh...something something life experiences. Yeah.
Katie didn’t resist. She could get down with seeing the world, getting away from home. But the more she looked into the place, the less excited she became. It was...well it seemed to be a bit too uptight for her tastes. But Mother was insisting, so it was likely either this or some sort of military school. So uh...her hands were tied.
Other:
Katie plays piano! Years and years of lessons have made her actually pretty good. Not exactly something one would immediately think upon seeing the girl, but there it is anyway.

Personality:
OVERWHELMING OPTIMISM! GO GO GO!
Junko is happy. As simple as that sounds, it’s probably the best way to describe the constantly smiling girl. One can always count on Junko to find the silver lining in just about any situation. Active, spunky, vibrant, the girl is always just full of positive energy.
And of course, happiness is that much more enjoyable when one can share with those around her. The girl is driven by an overwhelming desire to please everybody, no matter the cost. Unfortunately, this leads to Junko often being used. After all, ask her to do something, and it gets done. They don’t call her Super-Hyper-Reliable Girl, JUNKO! for nothing, after all.
But no matter how many times somebody takes advantage of her, the girl simply refuses to let it get to her. Or rather, she often just doesn’t see it. The poor girl is just rather naive, seeing only the best in people. Junko hasn’t met a person yet that she’s disliked, even if they’re outright rude to her. Her mind does some amazing mental gymnastics to turn even the most vile comment into a hidden compliment. It’s kind of impressive in a pathetic kind of way. She’s too stubborn to accept that people might not like her.
Obviously, the girl is happiest when she’s around other people, quickly striking up conversation even with complete strangers if need be. And if they happen to be outside and moving? Even better. There’s nothing like sunshine and fresh air.
...so what happens when this ball of sunshine is alone?
Really, Junko can’t stand it. Being alone with her thoughts...it’s not fun. Because eventually she starts going through those thoughts. And some things are better left forgotten. But enough of those negative feelings! There’s nothing some nice tunes and good company can’t fix!
...right?
WHATEVER!
PEACE!
LOVE!
TEAMWORK!
Bio:
Junko is the third of three daughters to the Watanabe household, with about twenty-five years separating her and the twins. Her parents were getting on in years by the time she arrived. Quite frankly, the doctors were surprised that she ended up as healthy as she is what with her mother being well past the optimal birthing age.
...
So it might not come as a shock to know that Junko’s parents died when she was fairly young. Cancer. Mother went first, with Father shortly after. Junko didn’t end up on the streets though. The eldest sister stepped in and took custody of the girl. She and her husband were unable to conceive a child naturally, so they welcomed her with open arms.
Despite the unusual living arrangement, Junko had a fairly nice childhood. Her sister adopted a little girl some time after Junko moved in. The youngest Watanabe girl was thrilled to get to act as an older sister, even if she was technically the aunt.
Everything was fine...for a while...but something happened. Junko doesn’t speak about it, but she ended up moving in with the younger twin for a while, and the eldest Watanabe divorced her husband. Shortly after that, Junko ended up being sent off to Nakkashiro Gakuen. While she took a little bit of time to adjust, the girl soon began to bloom, thriving off being with so many other girls her age.
She was happy.
Other:
Despite being rather small, Junko is rather athletic. While team sports are her favorite, the girl is a helluva runner. Somebody get this girl onto the track, ASAP!
