Rika is one who typically tries to show off a charming impression, and then either miserably fail or simply drop it down out of laziness afterwards, turning out to be actually rather dull. While it's true that she's (a bit) athletic, while it's true that she's a consistent honor student, and while it's also true that she possesses a dry, but humorous and sarcastic wit, she's not the lively, naive, reliable and happy-go-lucky Rika she tries to let people know of on the first day of class.
That being said, Rika's indifference knows no bounds. If you expect Rika to deeply care about something, do so when Hell has frozen over. She constantly fidgets in serious discussions, would treat a flunking grade (which is yet to happen) like it was nothing, and never really frets over any adversity, except for when her very own
"treasure" and her well-being are at stake. It's as if she's stuck in a perpetual labyrinth of boredom, and perhaps her ability to feel emotion has diminished to some extent. If, by chance or by your own curiosity, you manage to get a reaction out of her, however, get prepared to be met with a furious beating from a two meter long rod, of which Rika finds a use in her mild athletic skill with. Rika easily forgets people's names, and usually ends up mispronouncing especially lengthy or foreign names into one hell of a jumbled mess.
Rika, though, has quite an impressive talent for drawing, and anonymously publishes her illustrations online under the handle of
kurendoQN. While she's neither secretive nor showy about this, she is very protective of her own "treasure", a Cintiq 22 tablet of which she uses to draw her illustrations with. This actually makes sense, though, as it costs thousands of yen to buy, although her family wealth, as well as her earnings from her supporters' donations online, are enough to provide her with sufficient replacements should she happen to stay with a VERY clumsy roommate. kurendoQN's stuff typically compose of whatever's big in the doujin scene, but sometimes also draws some things that humorously mock anyone she personally knows. Don't be surprised if she draws weird acts involving people she doesn't like, such as sketches of one making out with a fat old man, two making out with each other, or any other deprecating stuff.

A particularly well-known hikki, Rika has recently taken into trying to be a bit more sociable under the advice of, well, everyone. Unfortunately, though, with how she's been stuck that way for over 5 years, it doesn't seem like that will change. Being the eldest child with her parents absent from the household and busy being business magnates most of the time, and with a gaping age gap between her twin brothers still in their infancy, that's easy to understand.
Twice Rika has been put in highly prestigious schools: one at a very exclusive academy in elementary and middle school, and now at Nakkashiro, this very school she was put in, to take a rest from hearing all the complaints about her reclusive habits. And maybe try not to thrown with gripes again. Or not.
