@Letter Bee So if I understand you correctly, because this universe portrays religion as being a tool used by an overarching evil entity, you claim to hate it? If 40K made an effort to make religion as a whole seem evil in some way, then your statement might be understandable, but this is not the case, as the Eldar Pantheon of Gods are a group of beings similar to the Chaos Gods, but far more benign, born from the worship of the Eldar. The God Emperor is against religion for obvious reasons, but in the world of 40K, there are no real 'good guys'. It describes a world with conflicting opinions and thoughts, without stating with any absolution which is correct.
I would argue that your immediate dismissal of 40K based on your limited knowledge of it and your religious views describes a closed mind, a most unhealthy disposition to take.
@thewizardguy, 40k portrays religions that are practiced, by Humans IRL, 'as tools practiced by an overarching evil entity', including mine.
As for me 'dismissing 40k based on my limited knowledge of it and my religious views', yes, I've been called narrowminded before. That doesn't change the fact that I am Pro-LGBT, Pro-Women Priests, and many things that even Secular Liberals would find off-putting. And, if I am narrowminded, that is because 40k has bigoted behavior encouraged by its metaphysics.
I'm not really sure if I should put any real character bios here, since all the characters here are A: many, and B: established in the canon of their multiverse. Further information can be provided on request. And I hope I'm not trying to take too much on here...if anyone wants to take over a character or two from this group, they can.
Organization Sheet [-] Name: Army of the Nexus Universe of Origin: Multiversal, originally from the Nexus multiverse convergence. Objectives: Mixed, but primarily the defeat of the Reign of Chaos. Other objectives depend on individual leaders of the various groups. Members: Likely heavily affiliated with the Resistance. Protoss: Highlord Alarak of the Tal'Darim, (agreed upon leader)
Protoss: Hierarch Artanis of the Dalaam Protoss, plus Khalai, Nerazim, and Purifiers, with their respective characters. (Limited strength since the Golden Armada's defeat against the Reign of Chaos)
Terrans: Commander James Raynor, commanding Terran Dominion forces.
Grand Alliance: Multiple races, Nexus forces under the command of Jaina Proudmoore and supported by Muradin Bronzebeard and Falstad Wildhammer of the Dwarves, and Tyrande Whisperwind of the Night Elves, plus other supporting characters.
Horde: Multiple Races, not answering to a unified leader before Highlord Alarak. Includes the Lich King with the Undead Scourge, Sylvanas Windrunner with the Foresaken, and Thrall with the Orcish Horde.
Forces of the High Heavens: Led by the Angiras Council of Imperius, Tyrael, Auriel, Malthael, and Itherael. Supported by the five Nephalem.
Capabilities: Each of the factions of the Nexus has sometimes widely differing abilities. The Protoss and Terrans from the Koprulu use technology and psionic powered abilities, including Protoss Warp technology and the Terran Ghost Program. They are arguably the most powerful members of the Army of the Nexus, however some of their forces are absent or weakened by previous clashes with the Reign of Chaos or the need to defend their territory. The bulk of the Dalaam's Golden Armada in particular has been destroyed, and is largely reduced to the forces assigned to the Spear of Adun and the Purifier command ship Cybros. Highlord Alarak managed to keep his Death Fleet out of the way of the Reign of Chaos, and kept it intact. The Dominion forces assigned to the Army of the Nexus are a small fraction of total Dominion strength, the vast majority having gone turtle in the defense of Korhal. This is however, something that Commander Raynor is used to dealing with from his guerrilla war against the Dominion.
The Grand Alliance and the Horde both use more primitive, ground and atmospheric based technology, however their magical powers equal and sometimes far exceed the psionic powers of the Protoss. Equipped with Terran or Protoss variants of their typical equipment, and supported by their mages, they represent almost half of the AoN's ground power.
The Angiris Council and their angels represent a unique asset for the AoN, possessing great divine powers, however this power being channeled into their weapons and very essence. They are powerful fighters who can do battle anywhere, even in the vacuum of space, and are perhaps the best infantry...for their weapons and manner of fighting is in fact infantry in nature, if they do possess the capabilities of airborne craft...in the AoN. However, they are limited in sheer firepower and durability, and require support from the rest of the AoN to fight a reasonably prepared enemy to full effect. Their primary role is that of a fast attack/response force, meant for dashing in and out with truly devastating effect, and their maneuverability is even further enhanced when combined with the Protoss warp capabilities.
The Raven Lord of Raven Court in the Nexus brings with him some further undefined powers, however it is known that he can disrupt some technologies, is a master of summoning, and can reduce the capabilities of armor to nil for a time. He also has an inferiority complex, and may be inclined to ignore orders if he feels like it.

Universe Sheet [-] Name: Nexus Scale: Multiverse maelstrom Setting: Highly varied, and killing things. History: Long, can be provided upon request, would prefer to not to though. Currently not included because I'm in a hurry. Power Scaling: Very little. All magics, divine powers, and psionics are compatible with each other. All sources of power that are unavailable are...well...unavailable. The Raven Lord's power is limited to only what he has shown possible...namely, summoning minions from structures he has infused with his power, and disrupting material composition so that it either provides no defense, or does not survive being shot from a cannon. Protoss Warp Network limited to only what they construct, or what is provided by their ships and the Spear of Adun.
@Cruallassar That's a lot of characters lol. You can maybe make at least one of the major characters you'd be playing, but thats just a suggestion. If the history is long, try and make it to be basically in a nutshell. Either way, both organization and universe are accepted at is. Just add a short history later.
Thinking of adding a character here as well so that I can part of this concept from the beginning.
As for character concept, I am torn between two. Either I want to be a god-like being of creation, or I want to be a bio and mechanical augmented super solider who has technology that can be used to put her on equal footing with some of the lesser weights.
Just throwing my ideas out publically. Here's hoping for this RP's success in the future

God-like scares me sorta lol I suggest the latter for now.
Hi, I'm interested in applying. But first I have a question:
When you say "God-like" character, what do you mean exactly? Because I'm a little confused by the scale you're shooting for. For example, someone wanted to make a character from 40k, but that's been shot down as too OP. Yet Optimus Prime was accepted, a character capable of going one on one with many of Warhammer's heroes (except perhaps the Gods, Emperor and Primarchs). I'd just like a bit of clarification.

Nice to see a well-known Advanced Player stop by! It's an honor to have you come and RP here.
Consider "God-Like" characters being way too OP for their own good. They'd basically have abilities relating or rival that to a god and have very powerful abilities that can one-shot many lesser characters, as well as many other insane abilities. Optimus Prime isn't God-like at all. He's strong, but he's nowhere near to being god-like, even with the Matrix of Leadership.
One example of a god-like character, would be the Emperor of Mankind, who has a ridiculous assortment of powers and abilities.
Don't forget the Legio Titanicus, heck a couple Baneblades would probably do Prime in with a few volleys, those things have fire power. But God-like meaning a god or someone near that power level? The emperor of man is so powerful he can wipe out legions on his own in a single stroke, entire armies in a handful of strikes, and damn near an entire faction in a few days. But 40k was pulled for other reasons too... Like the Titanicus. The size of the army is so massive that by sheer numbers, they would have won almost automatically.
We're talking Hundreds of "Pre(never happened) Heresy Custodes, At least a few hundred Thousand Astartes, And TRILLIONS of guardsmen as far as infantry goes.
@Lmpkio Hmm. Alright. I'll take that into consideration.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm a sucker for Multiverse themes. Although I had no idea I was well known.
Lol. I do believe you own an Advanced Marvel RP am I correct? I've also seen you around while observing the Create-A-Hero RP as well and on some others if I recall.
@Saint Girralo That seems unlikely. It's been stated in the Transformers comics that anything short of a nuclear weapon won't hurt the likes of Megatron. I suppose it depends what version of Optimus we're talking about, though, since there are many different incarnations with varying power levels.
Anywho. I can see why the God Emperor wouldn't be allowed. It was mostly this that worried me:
...Just don't add the Warhammer in period.
However, I believe I have a grasp on the meaning of the rule.
