Another is when you've got an existing roleplay with someone, and they ask "So, what do you want to do?". Tell tale signs they have no desire to continue. Best to just part ways right that instant, rather than try to piece it back together because it'll wind up dying regardless.

An excuse that comes before a post, especially when they haven't done anything for days or longer. It's possible to post and then explain afterwards. A GM that disappears, which happens too often when there's plenty of players still interested. Partners that don't respond to messages and haven't been online for days.

pow is the exception. It goes 2 weeks without a post, we notice. If there is only one post in a week, we call it active. More than one post in a week and that's too busy to keep track of.
