@agentmanateeWell, it could have been Cal, but Cal is just an altogether jumpy dude. If we end up having another person who's had their character been there 1-2 months, we'll have the old medic have attacked their predecessor.
Alright, I'm gonna say that one of Mika's redeeming officer qualities is tolerance, seeing as most of his men are military 'criminals' or 'undesirables' so he considers the last medic an isolated case. I assume its safe to say as the CO he gets any and all non-confidential info on incoming troops? Like psyche reports and such? One of his only things good is his intelligence and analyzing abilities, which he currently uses to decide who he needs to keep an eye on and who he doesn't
ALSO(sry for all the questions) What are the 4 rooms in this concrete bunker we call home?
@agentmanateeYeah, he can get whatever info he needs. The four rooms are "Barracks", "Commons", "Storage", and "Showers/Bathroom". Soldiers get food from storage and can eat wherever. The commons room has a television (which doesn't get signal, we only have three physical movies.), an old pool table, some couches, and a large bookshelf (stocked with free hand-me-downs). The storage is a catch-all for any storage for non-personal items. The Barracks has a corner that's walled off with curtains, a makeshift sickbay. The comms and command equipment is stored in the (rather large) common room.
@NevixDamn, so these are basically supposed to be listening posts and such to pre-empt an invasion before being evacuated or something? Like... we have basically 0 defensive capability other than the fact it is a concrete bunker?... Mika is gonna have a fucking aneurism, he really is... this is gonna be amazing
Don't sweat it @agentmanatee, I'm sure the combat engineer that is the only survivor of the reinforcements is going to be just as happy to get everything into some state of defensive competence.
@Eisenhorn Yea but from the way you describe him... something tells me he and Mika aren't going to get along real great... seeing as Mika is not the most competent of CO's
@Eisenhorn I spose not, guess they have to try and look past their petty grievances to survive huh? Guess we will see... god I can't wait for this to start!

Personality:
The loner disposition suits Private First Class Esther Rose fashionably well. She loves the shadows and seems to mimic their silence quite justifiably (perhaps a survival instinct). Her voice is small and her opinions in social situations find her riding the fence more than often as she has the ability to see the dying grass on both sides. She is an innocent cynic with a twisted sense of humor, but in her line of work, it’s difficult not to be friends with the darkness. Such are the reasons she prefers to keep a wall between her teammates and her. However, having a collectivist heart, she is willing to self-sacrifice anything for her teammates, including death, and on the field, her duties clearly and always come before her disposition.
Biography:
Esther Rose was born in a prosperous city of the peaceful Evoria. Her father was a beneficial and influential priest to the unfortunately dying parish, Saint George Orthodox Church. Her mother was a traditional woman who spent majority of her time taking care of Esther and the household. Due to complications at birth, Esther’s mother was unable to bear any further children. Esther was craftily homeschooled through childhood—as her father abhorred the public systems of teaching and anything considered private was much too pricey for the family. Considering the conditions of the parish, Esther’s family was not monetarily wealthy. Of course, due to theological ideology and philosophical studies, the Rose family never thought of themselves as poor (especially, having the luxury of dwelling in such a well-to-do city). In fact, Esther used the most unique objects to build masterpieces and fulfill her desire to have things and such. There was always quick fix for anything they were lacking, given the right creativity, except of course, for food. As much as her father wanted a son (especially, to have serve behind the altar with him), he was thankful to the Godhead that his daughter did not need to consume as much food as a son would have. In return for his thankfulness, his family was thankful he would never be drafted into the war due to his title as a priest.
It was because of her father being a priest that Esther was raised so strictly in the Church. She was taught not to want and that she lacked nothing. She was taught to be content with what she had and to make the most of it. This was a fairly easy concept for her to grasp due to her family’s position in society. For the most part, Esther was content except for one thing. She was rather envious of the boys and men who could go behind the altar during Church services. There was always something ominous about the male gender she could not shake from her mind. This mindset became more than just a toying emotion but eventually an obsession. In more than one way, she resented the traditional female role and looked for an escape from becoming her mother; and being the bright and innovative girl, her mother and father raised her to be, she looked beyond the borders of her country and into the country of Interum.
At the age of eighteen, Esther left her family without word and moved to Interum. With her hands finally free to do as she pleased, she enlisted in the Interum Military. Not being a native to Interum, Esther worked her hardest to prove she could be part of their military. For her, there was no going home. Showing that she had quick hands and a highly resourceful mind in learning new technology, she was quickly shoved into the Demolitions/Heavy Weapons Division, and because of her introverted demeanor and rookie-skills, she was a perfect candidate for the BGO NO-36. She gratefully took the position, determined to prove her worth.
Other:
Esther keeps a black, wool prayer rope on her at all times.
btw for those who have been here a long time, or even like a few months why don't we talk character relationships? I guess we could wait for RP to start bu I imagone if its been awhile there would already be at least some opinions of eachother... anyone up for it?
@Pirouette Well, in regards to Corporal Craster I imagine since Mika has no doubt read her file, as well as the court proceedings no doubt, I imagine he actually trusts her. Certainly more than their previous medic who went crazy with a capital C. Seeing as she has no prior problems with authority until she was accused of murdering her CO he probably thinks she didn't actually do it... that being said the first few wekks I imagine he watched her but afterwards I imagine he was more than cordial with her.
Plus, he requires medication and she is the medic, so he probably has to deal with her more than other personnel so he most likel tries to at least remain friendly. Though not sure how is naturally antsy nature would come off
@PirouetteALSOsense he has not told any of his men about his 'condition' or his need for medication, she would be the only one who knows about it due to recieving his medication. So he would definitely try to get on her good side, seeing as he'd rather NOT have his men know he suffers from acute paranoia and anxiety attacks
That reminds me... I neither confirm nor deny whether Collie deliberately caused the untimely death of her previous CO.
Anyway. @agentmanatee Sounds fine and dandy. Obviously Collie would expect her CO to be hush-hush about her own skeletons but ultimately, she won't feel owed it from keeping Mika's secret because that faith in the leadership is crucial to survival. It would be counterintuitive for her to gossip about it.
It also means Collie isn't going to be too comfortable knowing that and will, in private, be pushy for him to get better as the enemy bears down on their doorstep. Leading up to battle, she'd probably try all manner of aid to help him. Counciling, medication, etc.
Likewise, she'll also be keeping any eye on him to make sure his condition isn't visible. Even if that means something drastic like injecting him with straight adrenaline.
